La cucina rimane ad un livello molto buono, con piatti generalmente ben preparati: molto buona una soup singaporeana piccante al punto giusto e ricca di ingredienti; anche il granchio fritto è consigliabile come i dim sun; un po’ banali gli spiedini di pollo. Ottimo chardonnay australiano suggerito da una gentile cameriera. Suggerisco di prenotare perché è sempre molto affollato. Consigliato

Very disappointed all round. My partner and I visited the restaurant today for the first time and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We tried to order a bottle of champagne and were told that they didn't have the variety we picked or a chilled one of the next one we selected because none of had been put into the fridge! The food tasted very processed..... the curry wasn't nice and the prawn dish didn't taste good. I expected a lot more from a restaurant in this location and there really wasn't anything that I could say was nice. It wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, but I certainly wouldn't return. It lacked a freshly cooked taste.

We have had Singapore food in Singapore and this was not as authentic as we had hoped. We had the platter starter which was enough for 4 persons but we were told for three. We were a party of three. Far too much given we had ordered chicken Singapore rice. All the elements came separately, broth was tasteless, chicken breast which was huge but nicely moist and rice which had no flavour. Sauces were served separately. Never came across this in Singapore. Overall service was odd, taking away wine glasses before we had ordered wine and not advising us on the portion sizes.

The place is beautiful and the atmosphere very pleasant. Service is attentive and efficient. We greatly enjoyed the squid, soup and seafood clay pot, although I found the clay pot dish a bit too small. The tapioka dessert was also excellent.

We had a fantastic experience at the Bugis as we were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading over to the Taylor Swift concert. Ulya was fantastic and such a gracious host - friendly and eager to help! Thank you for making this an amazing experience. We will be back for sure next time we’re in London 😊

Beautiful restaurant serving a variety of Singapore / Malaysian food. Food is not really authentic but I liked the classy interior and the Happy Hour cocktails.

Astonishingly good food. Wonderful service. Warm atmosphere. Very fortunate to have discovered this place. Will return again.

Whilst staying at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel I kept walking past this restaurant and as I love Asian food I promised myself a last lunch there. They had a two-course lunch deal at £19.90. I didn’t really need the first course of Sweetcorn Soup but the Singaporean Laksa, which I miss, was amazing! Service was friendly and efficient. I’d love to come back and try more of their food …

Thank goodness I don't live in the neighbourhood or I would end up eating here at every opportunity! I was enticed in by the promise of "authentic Singapore cuisine" - as I love to try new foods, how could I resist that promise? My lovely waiter came to take my order and I asked for her help. I ordered the sampling platter as a starter, but wanted advice for a main. She told me that the sampling platter would be more than sufficient for a whole meal - and she was 100% right. The platter, which contained prawn toast (with visible prawns, not just a prawn paste), salt and pepper squid (lots of lovely toasted onions and more than enough peppers), chicken satay skewers (with satay sauce containing lots of chopped peanuts) and three vegetable fried spring rolls with dipping sauce... A delicious meal... For desert, I ordered the Sago Gula Melaka. Not to my taste, although quite nice. I had also ordered a second glass of wine, which never arrived... but was included on my bill. I pointed this out and the bill was changed without further questions. The atmosphere is lovely - all jade green tones (including the chop sticks), with starched linen table cloths and napkins. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Overall, a very positive evening!

Elegante location con tavoli ben disposti. Un’ampia carta in cui poter scegliere tanti piatti tipici della cucina singaporeana. Noi abbiamo gustato soprattutto piatti a base di pesce, gustosi, saporiti, ben presentati. Servizio rapido e curato. Consigliato!

Il ristorante si trova all'interno dell'hotel The Bailey's ed offre cucina di Singapore. L'arredo è molto raffinato ma le pietanze ci hanno del tutto deluso. A parte la difficoltà di farsi capire bene nell'ordinazione (la descrizione dei piatti è complessa e quindi un po' criptica...), il cibo è risultato insapore e poco gratificante. I gelati erano troppo "gelidi" e poco gustosi. Ci sono state servite due bottiglie di acqua frizzante calde e di marche diverse; serviti anche quattro bicchieri di vino rosé caldo. Prezzi alti, non giustificati.

I booked a table at Bugis Street Brasserie for dinner. The environment was understated but smart and stylish. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is truly extensive and covered most of the Singapore/ Malaysian favorites. I chose mixed dim sum and the Singapore laksa. Both were prepared to the high standard I would expect in a five star hotel in Singapore. Food was fresh, tasty and satisfying. Easily the best food I have eaten in London in the last few years. A truly magical experience. I will be back. Thank you.

We so wanted to like the "new" Bugis, the old iteration a regular venue for us during the two years we lived nearby. We left London in 2017, and this was our first visit back. DIsappointed that the old location had closed, we were thrilled to see Bugis resurrected at its new Gloucester Road location. Alas, the new menu, pretentious and boring, lacked the variety and range of the old one. Gone were the pictures of Bugis Street Singapore. The sizzling beef was a chewy and flavorless disappointment, though the chicken curry was decent - though not a value compared to the old Bugis. Service was exceptional, but with the variety of interesting dining at lower or comparable cost nearby, there is no reason we would return here. High prices, mediocre food, a narrow menu, and an absence of any charm make Bugis a sad evolution of this restaurant.

What a disaster! The vegan menu has gone. The wonderful dishes we’ve enjoyed for years have gone. The staff we’ve known for years were nowhere to be seen. Have they also gone? Whoever thought this was a good idea has scant regard for the many regulars who have kept this place going for years. Such a shame. I feel genuinely very sorry for the loyal staff. I won’t be returning. The end of an era.

We have been going to Bugis for over 26 years. Went there yesterday and the food has all changed. Prices have been hiked up and portions halved. Many new staff and manage without a clue. £23 for Laksa! It was the best Laksa and Chicken Rice in London and the M25. Now it tastes like it is out of a packet. The chef has changed and they are trying to make it fine dining without the food and service to go with it. It has always been a comfort place for my family and I to go to. The staff were friendly and the food was good. Now we have lost this wonderful gem. Bring back the old. We are losing our heritage and good taste. If this continues, this generation will never know what it is suppose to taste like.

What have they done??? Ruined! They’ve tried to turn this wonderful street food restaurant into ‘fine dining’. Over 20 years we’ve been going to Bugis Street, Gloucester Road - service was always attentive, portions sizes good, food authentic and tasty - BUT NO MORE. The waiters and waitresses were struggling, was promised our drinks a few times but they took an age to arrive. The food took quite a while too. The menu has been drastically reduced and the price hiked up to an astronomical amount. The food was all wrong, the taste has gone - the laksa had no flavour, was too creamy and the portion size halved, there was hardly any soup in my tiny bowl. The Chicken Rice - the presentation was ridiculous - the whole point of having the rice on the same plate as the chicken is that the juice soaks into the rice - the rice was dry and had no flavour, the chicken was bland. So in summary - huge price hike, smaller portions and tasteless food. However, you do get fancy table cloths, beautiful cutlery and crockery and comfy seats!!! Bring back the old chef and old menu - keep to your roots Bugis Street. We definitely won’t be back until you do. Such shame. Gutted!

Without question the best Chinese food and meal we have ever had. Simply the freshest and cleanest ingredients we've experienced when eating Chinese food.

Went for a meal just after 9pm, we were informed that they were about to close but if we were happy for all the food (starters and mains) to be delivered together we could eat. All the food did arrive and was acceptably tasty, the "sizzling" beef dish was however lacking in a bit of sizzle. They were keen for us to settle the bill but said that we could remain to finish our drinks and chat, this restaurant is part of a hotel. Eventually all the staff departed and we were on our own chatting. We then noticed a number of small furry creatures appearing who continued to entertain us until we left. Not really the kind of after dinner experience to make you want to re-visit!.

Bellissimo ristorante asiatico con ampia scelta di piatti. Molto buoni I dumplings di maiale e quelli vegetariani, entrambi grigliati, ed i noodles con pollo e verdure. Particolare il dolce di fagioli rossi. Molto valido

After a day of touring my family of four came here for supper and enjoyed our meal. However, the service was surprisingly slow despite there not being a lot of people there. So if you are looking for quick service this may not be the place to go, but if you have time it's worth it for the food.

Offers some very tasty dishes. Other are so so. Okra (with or without prawns) is tops. Perfectly made every time. Seafood tofu soup is delicate, full and fresh. Pepper squid is another highlight. I am still exploring the menu here. There are certain dishes I would not order again. I guess it’s that way in most restaurants. Premises are bright and spacious. Linen table cloths add a touch of class. Service is well intentioned but volatile. Overall I would say this is a good restaurant worth getting to know.

Bugis street might no longer be famous in Singapore, in London it is well known among Singaporeans as the best place to eat. It has excellent food, served in a very friendly way. Definitely a place to recommend if you want to have a tasty Chinese meal, Singapore style.

For a restaurant in the area this is a nice welcoming restaurant with its wooden floor and furniture. You have very decent space between tables which is quite a rarity in the London scene. The food was good but not excellent. One waitress seemed to have an attitude issue but the others were hospitable. I had a risotto owing to lack of time. Perhaps something else would have been tastier

We really enjoyed our meal here after a day out in the rain and pre show. We arrived half an hour before our booking but were welcomed and sat down with no fuss. Our server was very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Menu choice was great with fresh veg and a good selection of Italian dishes. Pricing was top end but still good value. We were staying at Bailey's and noticed that the restaurant offered afternoon tea. I was not able to find any on-line reviews for it, which concerned me a bit, but we took a chance and made a reservation. I'm glad we did because it was really very nice. There was a good selection of tea sandwiches, two kinds of scones, and several sweets. We couldn't eat all of it. The price was very reasonable, and in line with what we would expect to pay - and far cheaper than some places.

My party of four were the only diners apart from a large noisy conference group. The food tasted ok but we could not talk to one another. They should not mix these two types of bookings. No apology from anyone. As they do not warn you on their website, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

You would only want to eat here if you were very tired after a long day or a long flight and wanted to collapse into your bed immediately afterwards.

We dined at this restaurant multiple times while staying at a nearby hotel. The food was dependably good and service was always spot on. The staff was especially accommodating, even when we needed to store luggage and dine in a hurry.

Very slow service although not busy when we first arrived. Unexciting menu. When it finally arrived food was in the main mediocre with one good meal and one awful meal (Lamb ragout sauce was more like watery savoury mince - and almost none of that when first brought). Came in at over £40 a head - very poor value for money.

Reservé una mesa para dos a las 8 pm semanas antes de una celebración de cumpleaños. , durante su estancia en el hotel The Baileys. Apareció y estaba lleno de cuidado en la comunidad de los estadounidenses que llevaban etiquetas con su nombre. No somos estadounidenses y donde no estamos identificados por etiquetas de nombre de collar. NO nos esperaban, y a pesar de la ocasión, el personal intentó apresurarnos a darnos una mesa horrible, en un momento en que el servicio sería tan malo. Nos alejamos y no regresamos al restaurante u hotel, habiendo sido decepcionados de una manera tan monumental.

El restaurante tiene una forma larga y estrecha con una decoración decente. Estuvimos allí temprano y encontramos el ambiente tranquilo y cómodo para comer. Nuestro camarero es agradable e hizo su trabajo para brindarnos una cena agradable. Han preparado la cena antes de las 6 pm o las 6:30 pm (no recuerdo exactamente la hora) con una comida de 2 o 3 platos. Pedimos los 2 platos primero, pero sorprendidos por los postres de la siguiente mesa, le pedimos al camarero que se extendiera a 3 platos justo antes del último minuto.

The food was wonderful. Our waiter Nassim was very efficient, had a good sense of humor and made us feel very comfortable.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and breakfast at this restaurant. The service was impeccable and interior of the dining room gorgeous. Our meals were delicious. Recommend the buffet for breakfast as lots of fresh choices and easy access if time is a factor.

We were staying just a couple of blocks from this restaurant...and stopped by for an early dinner. We are so glad we did. The dining room was nearly empty and quiet. The decor was wonderful and quirky. We had the antipasto and it was perfect. The meats were very tasty and the cheese was delicious. My husband had the seafood risotto which he said was delicious. I had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. We ate so much that we didn't have room for dessert! The service was attentive and quick and delightful. The white wine I had was perfect with the lamb. I would recommend this place for dinner

The Olive Restaurant and Bar in the Bailey Hotel is excellent. The food is delicious and the staff terrific. Jesus was our server each time and he took excellent care of us. The linguini with artichoke was wonderful. The bruschetta was perfect.

The bar is one that many regulars keep coming back to. Not only is the service impeccable - no matter how busy they are, but the staff are truly amazing. And I would recommend anyone to visit.

If you want to be treated rudely, especially by the bartender named Ruben who thinks he’s very important and in a flurry he’s throwing stuff etc. then this is the place for you. he should be fired. Rude is his title. You should try a little less action in motion and focus more on what he’s doing he even treated the woman collie like garbage. Said he needs to be fired he is not an asset to Olives.

We decided to visit this restaurant as we had 50% off the full bill with Gourmet Society. After we sat down and ordered our food and drinks, for some unknown reason we noticed waiters giving us some “looks” like we are not meant to be here. Food was actually nice, can’t fault it, we had Bruschetta as a starter, Gnochetti and Pork belly as mains. However paying for a small piece of pork 20 pounds with no side is ridiculous; moreover, the waitress did not even mention that side needs to be ordered separate (even though it’s normal in Italy we are not used to have separate side and main in England). When I asked for the bill, I mentioned that I will be using Gourmet Society card, so waiter calls his supervisor and when he came back he said that they don’t except those, after showing him that they actually should as it’s on their website he still didn’t want to give up half of the bill and said I needed to book that 24h in advance, so we had a small argument about the terms and conditions which does not state that I need to do that, with no apology supervisor left and dropped final bill on our table with I would say 40% of discount?? To sum up, nice food but don’t go there if you are hungry because portions are tiny and bit too expensive. Also staff should be bit more relaxed and less rude.

We ate here last month whilst staying in Kensington. We both ordered the lasagne and herb potatoes. The meal was extremely good and one of the nicest lasagne's

May 14 2019. Awful! Poor starter - oil poor quality. Had to request more balsamic. Tasteless olives. No salt and pepper on the table. Food took way too long to come. Lasagne- very small and definitely over priced at £16. King prawn linguini- inedible. When we told waiter that it wasn't edible, there was no subsequent action. E.g. Apology from management or removed from bill. So disappointing as we were celebrating a birthday. Never again! We'll be telling everyone we know to steer well clear of this place.

We stopped in after a long day for a drink and met another couple who were on our tour. We all decided to stay for dinner. Food was nicely prepared and delicious. The salads were fresh, the wine very nice. Service was great!

The setting of the restaurant is nice... however the noise level really makes the dining experience poor. Even if the food was ok and service attentive, the noise level just made it painful. this restaurant needs to invest in some noise reduction fitting...

We were staying at the Bailey's Hotel, where this restaurant is located. It's right in the lobby of the hotel. There weren't many breakfast restaurants around the area, so we decided to try the breakfast at Olive's since it was just an elevator away. There were two options for breakfast: you could either do the breakfast buffet or the a la carte menu. We decided on the a la carte menu because it was cheaper than the buffet. The food was pretty good and the service was also quite good. It was kind of cramped in there because the tables were so close together and it was sometimes hard to track a server down for the check and what not. Overall though, a good experience.

Not a lot of room tables are very close together, staff very friendly what I didn’t understand was that I included breakfast when I booked @ £11.50 each which on the menu was £20.00 for the buffet breakfast so would seem we had a good deal but my wife fancied Eggs Benedict, which they charged us an additional £9.50 which was the menu price and my maths say is less than £11.50 so that morning my wife’s breakfast cost me £21.00. They did however take off the service charge because of a delay in getting the Eggs Benedict to my wife which took over 25 minutes I accept that the restaurant was busy but we had to chase this request twice.

We stayed at Bailey's Hotel and we had buffet breakfast at Olives Restaurant every morning. The food was nice. Service was also quite good. I find that the range of food was quite limited comparing to some buffet breakfast in other countries.

We wanted to og out to celebrate Our 45th anniversary. And this was absolutely a Place to be. Good service, good Food, pretty quiet

They have a one star rosette shown on the menu for food, although do not seem to make anything of this when giving the info re their restaurant - is it up to date? Food was very acceptable but not quite the one rosette standard I am used to . However, for a central London restaurant the prices were reasonable and the service good. We used it to meet up with a friend whom we had not seen for many years but it proved quite noisy at one stage and the table next to us was very close and shrieking with laughter - acoustics made this worse so if you have a hearing problem, then go elsewhere. I feel that restaurants should do as this one does and give an expectation of noise level - this was rated as moderate and is probably about accurate as the noise level varied throughout the evening.

I love this restaurant, we book a late table for after seeing a show at least once a year.

It’s an extremely over pretentious hotel and restaurant and act like there’s something they act like they’re so important and you’re not and you’re the customer also when you asked for but her three times from three different leaders because they don’t understand that’s pretty bad and when it takes an hour and a half to eat a three course meal which consisted of salad and appetizer and a main portion probably longer than an hour and a half that’s pretty bad the way between the meal and the appetizer was 35 minutes

Visited today for lunch, not disappointed. Staff were friendly, food was excellent. Would visit again.

A famous gastronome once said "When it comes to my stomach, there can be no compromises." I cannot think of a venue that fits this aspiration better than Olives Restaurant and Bar.

Had a late midweek lunch here as we were in the area. We had the a la carte menu which had a decent range of dishes though mostly fish and seafood. Food was piping hot, well presented and tasted really good. I had the lasagne which was really good. Service was excellent but the restaurant was pretty quiet.

Stayed here and ate in the restaurant on Thursday last. Staff were excellent as was the food. Would stay again.

I was hoping for an authentic Italian meal. This one was a miss. I started with the carpaccio, which was done quite well. It was served with sliced caperberries, which I wish they had not done. It was a flavor that just wasn’t needed.

Stopped by here for an early dinner after a bus tour of the city. Bought a dragon skeleton at the Smoking Jacket nearby. :) I had the Braised VEAL CHEEK, crushed potato and spinach, prunes sauce & side of broccoli. What did I just eat?!! I've never had meat or veal like this in the States. This literally "melt in my mouth." The best veal I ever had. Restaurant looked fancy inside, nice decor. The wait staff was excellent! The Chef - Awesome.

Nice location and very cool design, modern with some vibrant touches, the menu is rich, the food is good service is a bit slow.

The restaurant is small but the dishes are extremely delicious and full of variety. The chef clearly likes varying the offerings within the Italian palate. If you can get a table near the windows, it's great in the early evening to see the London life walking and driving past - an adventure to watch in itself. Very nice and accommodating waitstaff. The waitstaff delight in providing great recommendations on what to try!

Vi fandt denne restaurant ved et tilfælde. Glimrende italiensk mad og et anderledes menu-kort - men ikke stedet, hvis man ønsker pizza og lignende. Meget opmærksomme tjenere, - men nogle ting halter, derfor 4 og ikke 5 stjerner. Man skal selv gøre opmærksom på at salt/peber mangler på bordet. Klargøringen af opdækning til morgenmaden sker, så man føler sig presset til at forlade restauranten. Vi oplevede, at stakken af kopper/tallerkener , der skulle bruges til vores bord, det blev stablet op lige ved siden af os. Man kunne i det mindste have sat det et par borde væk. Men maden var der ikke noget at udsætte på!

Volvimos porque nuestra primera visita hace unos años mientras estábamos en la zona fue excelente! Nuestra segunda visita hoy, a un corto trayecto en metro y no nos decepcionó. El excelente servicio, la deliciosa comida, el pescado, el risotto de hongos silvestres y los fusilli no pueden fallar.

Amazing service from the staff members; Andrea and Imola. Seafood Vrigatoni was beautiful and there was a lovely/friendly atmosphere! Definitely one to visit, will be here again!

Ho cenato in questo ristorante durante la mia ultima visita a Londra con mia moglie ed una coppia di amici. Ambiente nolto elegante, personale gentilissimo e ottima scelta di piatti con cucina mediterranea.

La ubicación es conveniente y la decoración agradable. El personal es eficiente y educado. Nos quedamos realmente sorprendidos por la pequeña porción. Estuvimos en grupo de 6. 3 personas ordenaron la pasta de camarones y obtuvieron 3 piezas de camarones y 7 piezas de pasta de tubo. Era tan pequeño que nos sorprendió. Las bernneses de lasaña y ternera eran una porción ligeramente más grande, pero todos nos fuimos con hambre. Cruzamos la calle hasta Kabab y pedí Kabab y papas fritas.

Ottimi i Tagliolini al sugo di pesce, la Polpa di granchio al mango e la lista dei vini. Ambiente sobrio ed accogliente. Naturalmente si parla italiano.

Enjoyed our dinners here. Andrea was able to help us work around food allergies and have wonderful meals. Food was very tasty. My favorite dessert was spiced and caramelised fresh pineapple with coconut sorbet. Dinner? Pan-roasted salmon fillet, fennel puree, vanilla oil YUMMY!

Restaurante bien ubicado y con bonita decoración, la atención muy buena amable y profesional , recomendable el pescado a la plancha y la lasaña , bien cocinado y presentado . Algo caro pero en línea con los precios de Londres. Recomendable.

The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and quick to answer to your needs, everything is clean and there is a nice vibe to the place as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in Italian cuisine, you won't go home hungry that's for sure. The lovely Imola is my favourite waitress there, she's attentive,very friendly, nice to talk to, happy to help you in any questions about the menu. Always a joy to return there!
