Olive Tree Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar in Milton Keynes

We celebrated our 2nd year anniversary here and had an amazing time. The service was quick, considering how busy it was on a Saturday evening, we were served ver quickly to the point that our main meals were ready before we finished our starter. The waiter service from Venka was amazibg, he prepared us a cute chocolate brownie as a token of our anniversary. Thank you Olive Tree! Great ambience, lots of birthday celebrations, loved it 😀 ❤️

I visited Olive Tree last Thursday and the food was absolutely delicious. My overall experience was spot and I do need to give a special mention to the waitress Inci, I think that’s her name. She went above and beyond and after having a few requests she accommodated them with no problem and remained friendly throughout and made sure we was looked after! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Best Turkish place I’ve been to in a while. Food is good, the bread is a highlight! Waiters are quick and efficient. Parking is relatively easy if it’s not a busy night. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

I visited the restaurant on the 3/11/24, the food was so over priced and the portion was extremely small. I use to visit this establishment regularly before but the price seems to be going higher and higher. Was really disappointed about the quantity Service was good

Food was good. The restaurant was full of people, that says a lot. There were a lot of service personnel, they were constantly scurrying between the tables. But I didn’t like the level of their service. The appetizers were brought very quickly. After that, we started waiting for the main course. About 20 or even 30 minutes passed, the waiters kept passing by, not bothering to say that the main course would be later, or to ask if everything was okay. I asked the waitress when the food would be. The waitress left and never came back and didn’t comment on it in any way. When I asked our waiter, a young man (waiters don’t have badges, I don’t know his name), where our food was, he waved me off (!!), showing with his whole appearance that he was serving another table. I went to him myself and finally he apologized, saying that the kitchen was overloaded. In the end, the food was brought right away. The hot dishes are very large, I advise you to order for two, or not to order the appetizers. First, they also bring a free appetizer. But the overall impression was spoiled by the ill-mannered and impolite service staff.

Lovely menu choice, friendly and accommodating staff, food quality excellent and the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Our second anniversary was excellent. We didn't have to wait long for service from drinks to appetizers to main course. The staff were quite friendly.

The Olive Tree is conveniently located on the main road near Milton Keynes station, with plenty of parking available (though it's paid). When we arrived, there was no one to greet us, and we had to ask a waitress if we could take a table. It was a Thursday evening, and while not packed, the restaurant was fairly busy. The Turkish music playing added to the ambiance, but it was a bit too loud, making conversation difficult. The staff seemed a bit distracted and weren't particularly friendly, but service was quick. I ordered a glass of white wine, which unfortunately tasted a bit sour. To start the meal, they offer complimentary bread with dips, which was a nice touch. The food itself was just okay. I enjoyed the chicken shish, but the chicken sarma had a strange taste and was overly spicy for my liking. The halloumi fries were delicious and very well prepared. We also ordered chilled mezes, but since they were pre-made, we couldn't make any adjustments—like leaving out the garlic from the cacik, for example. The portions were huge, which is a plus, but the baklava we took away had an odd taste and wasn't particularly enjoyable. All in all, while the food had its moments, this wasn’t the best Turkish restaurant I’ve been to, and the experience was a bit disappointing.

Fantastic food and cocktails with very attentive staff

Without any doubt, this is the best restaurant in Milton Keynes, the service team and the restaurant atmosphere gives that restaurant a unique experience that you won't forget. I want to call out Hakan who always goes above & beyond to make sure we have an awesome & enjoyable experience.

Had a wonderful meal for my daughters 15th birthday. It's a Thursday at 6.00 and we had a fabulous meal. It was clean and all the staff were warm and friendly. They surprised us with a fountain candle in chocolate fudge cake singing happy birthday. The whole restaurant joint in. Lovely touch. The platter for 4 is certainly a great variety and was an adequate serving. Well done Guys

Staff were very attentive, arrived for a 60th birthday and all the staff made such a fuss and made my whole family feel welcome and valued. To top it off, the food was amazing! Will be returning!

Visited with kids and friends, atmosphere was amazing staff super friendly and kids loved the food!

The food was nice and well prepared, the servers were all attentive and did great jobs serving us and the food came out really promptly. The restaurant was really busy so they did a great job to keep up. The only annoying aspect was the happy birthday music that blared out 4-5 times whilst we were there and made it difficult to have a conversation but only a slight thing for an otherwise great meal.

Nice restaurant from the inside, with ample parking outside. This is a bit of a belated review, so I don't remmeber what my dish was called - it was a traditional dish. However, I do recall enjoying the meal. Would visit another time to try the charcoal grill menu.

The food at this place is amazing! All the ingredients are fresh and very tasty. Also, the people who are working there are warm and friendly!!

A very welcoming (complimentary bread and dip) pleasant Turkish restaurant where we had late lunch before heading to the Ice rink and it was busy and enjoyable. The service is basic but works (missing cutlery, pour your own drink the. need to ask for second round of drinks). My main course (Adana from the Charcoal Grill) portion size was small (2 small kofte) to average making the value for money mid range.

Great place to be, my second time. Seems to be my go-to place when at MK. If you love Turkish meal, you're better off visiting this place.

Very nice restaurant, the service is very nice, fast and competent. It was great. We felt very well looked after. The food was wonderful. The wine is a poem. Even the baklava was homemade, fresh and incredibly tasty! Conclusion... Always very happy

We recently traveled from London to Milton Keynes and had the pleasure of dining at The Olive Tree. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be returning to The Olive Tree next time we’re in Milton Keynes. Highly recommend!

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience at Olive Tree, especially since it used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Has there been a change in the chefs? The food was super greasy, the rice was soaked in oil, and the meat was fatty and overly salty! Something went wrong, and I'm really disappointed because this used to be the best Turkish restaurant for me. Please review the chefs!

Best Turkish food in MiltonKeynes by far, cannot fault anything, from the friendly staff to the quick service, everything is always top notch 👌 that's why I keep going back time and time again.

Great restaurant and lovely atmosphere

It was a really good experience. Everything we ordered was tasty and on point. Loved the Falafel and the Turkish soda. The garlic bread with the hummus was soft and garlicky which I devoured.

Love the food every time we eat there. Exceptional char-grilled lamb and chicken. Lovely staff, too!

On a day out we decided to have dinner here and it was lovely food, lovely staff and very spacious place. Will be back next week. Many thanks.

Came here for the first time recently for a small birthday lunch, nothing crazy just the two of us. We opted for the lunch menu which in the week is 2 courses for £15, brilliant value for the portion sizes. We left very well fed! Staff are really friendly and you couldn’t fault the food at all. Lovely presentation and all the plates left the table clean as a whistle. The Mrs called ahead of time and the staff surprised me with a little birthday dessert and limoncello which was free of charge! Coffees were great as well, very tasty. Will definitely be back, couldn’t recommend highly enough.

As a first time customer at Olive tree, the experience was higher than the standard restaurant experience. All staff were attentive to customers, with efficient service. Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was very well done, and was of good quality. I would like to specifically shout out Derya for looking after us throughout our time there, with compassion and care. Will be returning in the near future 100%.

Came to olive tree in Milton Keynes 16 of us. The food was overall good and the service was okay the parking is a bit of a weird one after certain times it’s okay. Food is a bit pricey but can’t really fault the quality. Overall mixed review on the place

Nice turkish food , good location, good service

We dropped in to the Olive Tree for a quick lunch when heading into MK to do a spot of shopping. The restaurant was quiet at the time we arrived and we were warmly welcomed and given a nice table by the window. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, but not overbearing. We both had a mixed grill (chicken and lamb shish and Adana) which came with dressed salad, rice and some bread and dips. Every part of the dish was delicious! Beautifully marinated, grilled and assembled. A lovely treat and highly recommended!

Fast service, lovely food, if you go at lunch time don't park right outside as it is Premium parking. Standard parking is only a few feet further!

We went to this restaurant a few times before. This time we invited our friends to celebrate a birthday. We had a booking at 6.30 pm and it was ok. Time passed and the restaurant became bustling, losing the serving staff's attention as they were too busy. We didn't want to spoil our evening but they should consider better system of taking the orders and bringing the food out.

The food brought this up to a 2 star review rather than a 1. We came and ate at the olive tree having heard good things and seeing good reviews. The food was lovely and the fresh bread you get welcomed with was beautiful. However, our experience was really ruined by the lack of attention from any staff member in the waiting on and FOH team. We waited half an hour before chasing our starters, we got some more free bread as an apology and waited another 10 minutes to hear anything about our food. We had to ask 2 different staff members about getting more drinks. These were dropped off and the empty dirty glasses left on the table. The quickest service we got was when we asked for the bill, they brought this over in seconds with a card machine at the same time. The staff really needed to work on their attentiveness to customers in my opinion

Great Turkish Restaurant and lovely Mediterranean dishes. Reasonable prices and variety of options. Was for an 18th birthday outing and the atmosphere and help from staff was great.

I had the worst experience at Olive Tree, which used to be my go-to restaurant. The hostess at the front was extremely rude. We politely requested to be seated at a different table, as we had just seen another couple move to the same area. She did put a face on when they moved to another table. However, the way she refused our request was unnecessarily curt. When we decided to leave due to her attitude, she simply responded with, 'Okay, bye,' which I found very unprofessional.

What's not to praise. The vibe, the food and the service were great! SO got prawns which came as a great size portion. I had the chicken which was a smaller portion than I would have liked. So make sure to double check how big the portion is when you order.

The food was great quality and of good portions .The service was amazing they were really quick and friendly. It is kid friendly and has vegan and vegetarian options as well.

Food was very tasty, but every dish came with this same generic salad. The portions were stingy for the price. The staff were very confused. And they have no idea how to handle the bill for large groups.what I assume was the manager was pretty pissy with us which pretty much ate away and any good feelings we had about the place. If they literally upgraded their card reader, the service could easily be 4 stars.

I went on Wednesday evening the atmosphere was a bit weird but the food was really nice, they offer a bread with sauce for a start on house and I loved it!!!!!Really quick service and friendly staff for a busy evening!!!!!

We chose this venue for a 50th birthday meal. The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond with the birthday cake and special birthday music. Would definitely recommend and go there again.

This was our first time visiting a Mediterranean restaurant & it was a pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially Venky, who provided outstanding service & thoughtful suggestions. I ordered a Mixed hot Mezze which comes with a refreshing salad, falafel , Sucuk & Halloumi. It tasted great but it was very salty, could be due to the cheese. Overall, they had diverse menu & I recommend for it's dining experience.

Milton Keynes a romantic station where every around is beautiful and well crafted. When we talk about food, expectations are accordingly high. Olive tree if reasonae good with good atmosphere. However the feel you find inside is average. Personal specific focus is lacking and then you feel unpapmpered. Food is OK but not the best. Improvements are needed though is yet a fine choice.

We visited this restaurant on Monday Evening and where pleasantly surprised by the food quality and the excellent service. The range of Turkish food was white and fresh. It was a wonderful experience. We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Food and overall experience was awesome. Their staff member Gulcan was cheerful with our little kids and professional. We had a lovely experience will visit soon.

We went for a last minute date night, had no reservations, but when we called the restaurant, we were greeted politely and asked to come whenever and they will be able to accommodate us. Upon arrival, the restaurant had a great ambiance, we were given a nice booth! we had the mixed hot mezze and mixed grill to share! both were great choices! the waitress was very attentive and at the end they gave us plenty of time, for enjoy dessert without rushing us out! thank you for a great night

This place never stops to amaze me with their service. We have been there many times earlier but every time we go, it's the better experience...this time we went with 5-6 kids as my friend organized her son's birthday there and it was a very good experience....good food, good ambience...and specially good staff..they were very friendly..😊 was really impressed with the service..specially 1 staff that I can never forget - Dereya.. she was so friendly with the kids and managed everything really well..would definitely recommend this place 👍

Very busy in here which is a good sign. However it was very noisy so not very relaxing. The food was nice but our food was not as hot as our should have been. Food Waitress was helpful and attentive drinks waitress didn't know what wine was what and struggled with English

We recently had a dinner for my son’s 3rd birthday and I have to say it was phenomenal. The staff especially Deraya was so warm welcoming and was super good with the kids. The food was amazing and it was a pre order she made sure we were getting everything in time and was really patient in regards of any new customisations☺️
