Excellent Turkish restaurant. The environment is simple but very well-kept. The open kitchen is very nice where you can admire the cooking of the dishes. Friendly and very professional staff. Good quality food served with particular attention to the plating. Worth trying.

Melis is a really nice spot for when you’re in the mood for something a bit more special. The restaurant has a stylish but relaxed feel, and the mix of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes is full of flavour. I had the mixed grill – everything was tender, well-marinated, and fresh off the charcoal. You can really taste the difference. The starters were great too – especially the hummus and sigara börek. Plenty of vegetarian options as well, which is always good to see. Portions are generous without being over the top. Service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had a welcoming, unhurried vibe – perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. Prices are a bit higher than your average, but it’s worth it for the quality and experience. Definitely a place I’d return to.

Some of the best grilled meats and fresh sides and condiments aive sat down to eat in a long while and i love it, an amazing quick service from the team, we drove 6hrs to eat here we arrived a tad bit late and they were kind enough to serve us i wouldn't expect such late service in the night from any business but they were kind enough to accommodate us i personally couldnt be more grateful if i could give more than five stars i would

Melis is my mum's favorite restaurant, and we took her there to celebrate her 70th birthday last weekend. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our server, Hannah. She was incredibly kind and took the time to engage with us, interacting wonderfully with both my son and my mum. Hannah was attentive throughout the our visit, ensuring we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding we got mainly platers as we had a table of 13, and my mum had a truly joyful birthday. Thank you so much, Hannah and the entire Melis team!

The fold was nice but the amount a bit small, specially for the price. We were charged the service but that was not announced in the menu or anywhere else. A surprise

We had another fantastic experience here — the food was delicious as always, consistently fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. What truly made our visit special, though, was the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. A special mention must go to Hanan, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our meal. She was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly warm, and genuinely caring. Her attention to detail and friendly manner made a real difference and elevated the entire dining experience. It’s rare to find such consistently high standards in both food and service, and this place continues to impress. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Great service from our waitress, the food was fresh tasting and a lot and delicious. Slight shame that the desserts were all finished - atmosphere was okay but felt like the design wasn't that interesting / music wasn't relevant to the culture of the food.

Amazing quality food, very friendly professional service, excellent charcoal grilled fish, meat which, according to staff, come directly from Turkey, hence the quality of food was felt so much better. I wish we had this restaurant in Swindon. Want to try more dishes next time we're back in Milton Keynes. The place is lovely, environment cozy and romantic with beautiful Turkish music. I took my mum for her birthday treat today and we loved it! Hanna service and treatment was exceptional. Hanna was so attentive and always asked if the food was good. Came to this restaurant on a date, the food was very delicious and the staffs are very polite. Very calm atmosphere to enjoy a date with your partner or a nice meal with friends and family. The music is also really good and fits in with the atmosphere.

For a Friday evening we were left disappointed by average food served in a restaurant which had no real atmosphere. For a 'Turkish ' experience best go elsewhere as aside from the food the ambience was sadly lacking.

Was looking for a Turkish restaurant and walked pass this so thought to try. The 1st table we were given had unstable chairs and one was practically broken, we had to ask for another table. The service was good so was the food. Ordered a lamb shish and got the complimentary garlic bread which my friend really enjoyed. As for drink, got the strawberry fizz, they really don’t have a variety of mocktails. All in all was okay.

They've raised the prices and minimise the plate, you can't believe how much salad you get....and when you think that's the cheapest from that menu...plus they decide to take some meat off as well from the shish menu. Bad management, i used to eat here but not anymore, as you can find better places for that price.

From the amazing food, to the great service and the fantastic atmosphere, we couldnt fault this place, we cant wait to be back!!

From Xmas Celebrations to Birthdays! MELIS never disappointed us. Drinks 10/10 Food 10/10 Staff 100/10 Worth try Mushrroms, Lamb, falfal in Starters. Breads are so fresh felt like they just came out of oven N Salmon, Lambs n Chicken for mains..All fresh and tender. Ordered every Cocktail twice. Keep up the good work! Gem in MK.

Ordered a chicken beyti and received a chicken shish. Person who served it called it a chicken beyti and placed it down. It clearly wasn't as there it was just two chicken shish skewers with rice and salad. From the 5 meals ordered, the portion size on each plate was small. They used salad and chips to fill up the plate. Probably won't stop by here again as there are plenty of competitors with similar menu and price.

This is still the best Turkish restaurant in Milton Keynes in my opinion. The food is absolutely amazing and i have been eating here and buying takeaway from here for the last 5 years and i have never been disappointed. The owner of this restaurant must be proud of themselves. The only thing is the fact that the restaurant is starting to look a little bit dated, probably needs a little update and it would look all brand new again.

We had the garlic mushrooms -- creamy excellence ... I only wished they gave more bread because the sauce was delicious. The calamari was cooked to perfection crispy. The seafood paella was generous with mussels, shrimp and delicious. The piri piri chicken was tender and spicy, nicely contrasted by the yogurt and a nice salad with vinaigrette. Good service. Place is nicely and cozily decorated, spacious and clean with lots of parking, so definitely a great space to celebrate and socialize.

Absolutely perfect Turkish food! Cannot recommend enough to come here. If you want genuine authentic Turkish food that tastes exactly like it does back home, this is the place!

used to be good , seems to have gone downhill , terrible portion sizes for the starter and was cold . main dish was nice .however will never return

The evening as a works Xmas dinner, I had a wonderful time the service was good considering the volume of people that they had to serve. The food looked ok I didn't eat much as seeing a very large amount of food on a plate kind of makes me full up. Smaller positions would be better.

Melis was absolutely wonderful. Everything about our experience was top notch from the service, food and entertainment. They had a belly dancer but didn’t make it uncomfortable. The food was just insane! They had a full restaurant and could see they were busy but the service and wait times were not affected whatsoever. We were really impressed! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. (Didn’t get their names but the taller lady and short man were incredible!). We can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed the food here! I don’t usually like red meat but the mixed grill was cooked to perfection! This prob is our new fave Turkish restaurant in MK now and I’m so glad we randomly thought to pop in. The only thing I’d improve is maybe the friendliness of the staff, although the waiter served our food promptly, a smile wouldn’t go amiss!

Love this place and would always recommend it. We went in at lunchtime as a big group and it was a bit of a cold reception, it felt like they could have done with us not being there, even though we were the only table. Also, the lighting was really bright, I'm sure it normally has a nicer atmosphere in the evening. Maybe just an off day. Still, the food was amazing, as always, and I'll go back 😊

Organised a big family dinner for 19 of us at Melis on Saturday, 23rd November. I’d called about 2.5 weeks in advance to book and spoke to Yasmin, who was absolutely lovely from start to finish. Because of our group size, we ended up hiring their private dining room, which was perfect. I sent over an email a week before to confirm numbers and everyone’s meal choices, and on the day, everything went so smoothly. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Since it was a Saturday, they had belly dancers, and one of them even came upstairs for a short performance, which was such a nice surprise for our group. My family and I had a fantastic time, and we’ll definitely be back soon! I’ve been to Melis plenty of times before moving to Manchester, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

What a gem! We had a wonderful meal here. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Harun went above and beyond to make our visit special. He was excellent with our boys, including setting them a riddle to solve while we drank our Turkish coffees (which were delicious and came in stunning silver lidded cups!) The lady who served us was also lovely but I don't know her name. Thanks to everyone!
