Olive Garden Turkish Mediterranean Cuisine in Birmingham

Decided to revisit for my birthday as we had enjoyed our first visit so much and were not disappointed. Very good choice on the menu and excellent service. We had Falafel and Tavuklu borek for starters, Dover Sole and Koroli Tavuk for mains with a bottle of wine followed by coffees. Enjoyable night and will be returning again

Excellent service, delicious food and good value for money absolutely lovely place for authentic taste of Turkey. Went as a family of three for hubbys birthday, drinks to start, bread and dips for starters which were amazing. Me and hubby had lamb ribs mine with rice and salad and his with chips, grandson had spicy sausage pide which he loved. Ribs were so tasty and lovely cooked, so much food but we all managed to finish apart from grandson who was offered a ‘doggy’ bag to take home. Will be returning staff really lovely too

Very helpful waiting staff, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere but poor value for money. To be honest main course was exactly as described on the menu (kebab, rice and salad) but it was a disappointing portion. One small skewered kebab, a small dome of rice and a very small and plain helping of salad (£17.50) not good value at all

Portion sizes are very small, cost is high considering this. 1 skewer of meat for almost £20. Was tasty but no where near enough

Handy parking across the road and a lovely warm welcome from staff. The restaurant had stylish decor, the staff were all really friendly and chatty and the food was absolutely delicious! It was our first time here as we don’t live in the area but we will definite be back! Highly recommend!!

I visited this restaurant last Friday with friends. The Turkish food was exquisite, all the staff very patient . Definitely, one of the finest Turkish restaurants in the West Midlands.

Olive Gardens Mere Green Sutton Coldfield We enjoyed our Saturday evening meal with friends at this restaurant. Some brad and dips were provided before three starters included the kalamar, and tasty falafel. The mains were lamb mussaka, sea bass fillets and salmon from the specials menu along with lamb iskender, and they were generous portions. Only two deserts with revani and vanilla cheesecake. We had five drinks and the service was good from Ava. The bill came to £141.00 for the four of us including the 10% tip. Regards Gary

We had wanted to try Olive Garden for a while, so we decided to go for my birthday meal. What a pleasant evening. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was fresh and very tasty. Our waiters were able to offer excellent choices off the menu, were close but not intrusive and able to answer questions. We wouldn't hesitate to go again. Go, you won't be disappointed x

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here tonight. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, we chose the sharing platter for 3 which was freshly cooked and all delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming, I'll definitely be eating here again.

This place really surprised me, went for a family celebratory meal and normally expect to be disappointed by Turkish restaurants in the UK. I know Turkish food well from my own mother’s background and time spent in turkey in my childhood. Hence why I anticipated disappointment but this place ended up being the best Turkish food i’ve had in any restaurant in the UK! Food was great value for money, extremely tasty, beautifully presented and well made. No complaints at all. Staff were so attentive and friendly, drinks were amazing! Can recommend their elderflower lemonade and the Turkish pizzas were incredible. Deserts not to be missed, had a range of desert menu on our table and it was all the tastiest of Turkish deserts, couldn’t be more impressed. Highly recommend!

This place serves Amazing Authentic Turkish and Med cuisine. Alex, the owner and all of the staff, were so lovely and attentive. The people, the food (fairly priced), fantastic decor and atmosphere. A truly wonderful place to visit. Thank you for having us.

First visit to a Turkish restaurant in the Uk since holidaying out there. Was not disappointed with the food. Tasty lahmacun followed by lamb & chicken kebab dishes. Very attentive service & would thoroughly recommend.

An excellent meal with great service. Our second visit and just as good. A Turkish restaurant with a menu unless you know Turkish food you would not recognise. There is plenty of choice and the staff were very helpful in explaining the menu and what was in each dish. The service was prompt friendly and professional. The food was well presented and generous portions. Overall an excellent restaurant.

Pleasant venue husband enjoyed his meal but mine was disappointing lamb kleftiko wasn’t authentic at all and was more of a stew, really salty and I couldn’t eat it. In my opinion the feta was cheap shop brought Greek cheese not feta as it wasn’t creamy or crumbly. The potatoes were just salad potatoes whereas normally they are almost roasted in the juice of the lamb. No seasoning or lemon/olive oil taste. I could do better myself and have done!

I do not normally write reviews publicly online but, after giving our experience more thought, I felt the need to. We went as a family and my dad and I ordered the mix grill to share. As part of the mixed grill we had ribs and when I cut them open I found them to be undercooked on the inside. That’s fine, it was a mistake by them and I politely asked them to cook them through… A while later we were sent two chargrilled bones with no meat on them and slits through the gristle to check they were cooked. I can only take away that it was some strange reaction by the chef to our polite request - and it was genuinely polite. It was extremely odd and the more I think about it, deeply offensive. The rest of the meal and service was lovely but it has completely put me off going back and a massive shame to what was a good evening. Why we should have received that treatment I don’t know. Take this review as you must but I’m not sure I can recommend this place to families. Thanks, J
