We went there on Saturday morning for brunch, but many items on the menu were unavailable. We ordered avocado toast with poached eggs. Although it was beautifully presented, both yolks were hard. We also tried two popular sweets, which were ok. One staff member was very nice and friendly, but the younger one seemed indifferent.

My new favorite cafe study spot. Perfect for me to complete work and tasks. Large range of snacks,cakes, desserts and foods to enjoy! Incredibly friendly staff who are incredibly attentive to me and they always are nice to talk to. Truly a magnificent cafe to work quietly in. Jishnu has great interpersonal relationships with me and always remembers me and he just improves the feeling of the cafe being a new home well. He's incredible at his job and enjoys what he does and I can see it by his charismatic energy and interpersonal relationships with the customers and himself.

One of my favorite Cafe, and Bamba and Namrata are my favorite servers.

It’s such a nice place to enjoy brunch and breakfast every now and then. Cinnamon muffins are yum and cappuccino is so creamy and scrumptious 😋 Namrata and Mr.Jisnu are having helpful nature and in fact whole staff is very professional and friendly

It is a place where you can enjoy a coffee and a snack while wandering around the city. I tried it for breakfast. I tried a product with ham and cheese. It was delicious. The coffee was also of good quality (compared to chain stores). I sat inside, it was quite spacious. I advise.

We tried breakfast products made with gluten-free bread and danish pastry. The taste of the desserts was quite standard, you can find the same taste in many other patisseries. I can't say the same for salted ones. I recommend the bread with chicken sauce to those who want a salty meal for breakfast. Incredibly satisfying. The location is nice, the employees are helpful.

Very cozy coffee shop. There is Wi-Fi. You can spend the entire afternoon studying in the store. The waiters are very nice. Jolleen is particularly nice! A very recommended coffee shop!

Ordered a Mocha… didn’t taste right.. went back and after 3 attempts couldn’t get it right. Server virtually threw the coffee at you. No manners at all. Then it became a hassle to ask for a refund. Is this what you call customer service? Got my refund and ran!!!

Polite service but extremely slow

We had the kindest and most helpful service from Ilha at Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset. He treated my children so kindly and made some perfect recommendations and went above and beyond to offer help. We felt so welcome here and the pastries were delicious. Thank you Ilhan

Coffee does taste above average but this place is a shambles. Service clogged up by mistakes at coffee point and inaudible communications for most of the customers ahead of me. Not a place to feel chilled in.

The seating area is very large. The moment you enter, you are greeted by a spacious place. The employees are really friendly and helpful. The dessert was very delicious.

My wife was in the caffe waiting for me. she came in and said couldn't see the products as they were on the window. the lady working there was rude and didn't try to be helpful just cause it was busy. It happened on sunday 30th at 4:40pm.

I ordered a flat white. It was very ordinary. The coffee beans were of average quality. I asked about the best-selling dessert, and the employee advised me of cinnamon social. It was normal, but there was nothing special. Even the dough was normal. The service was nice and the place was nice.

Sure, here's your review: --- I recently visited Ole & Steen at Haymarket, St James's Market, and my experience was quite disappointing. After ordering my food and drink, the staff didn't even ask whether I wanted to dine in or take away—they just packed everything for takeaway without any clarification. This level of service was not what I expected. Additionally, I had a few rewards that I wanted to use, but the staff seemed unhappy about redeeming them. It made me question why the company offers rewards if they end up making customers feel uncomfortable when using them. Overall, the lack of attention to customer preferences and the negative attitude towards rewards redemption made my visit less enjoyable. Ole & Steen should work on improving their customer service and ensuring that all customers, regardless of whether they are using rewards, feel valued. ---

Dropped in here for a food break when recently visiting central London. Was looking for a cafe offering something different and this place did not disappoint. Coffee was good and rye bread was beautiful. Nice casual place that I will revisit. Scandinavian Q style is not well understood by the British and is quite confusing. Some attention needs to be paid by the management on how this is managed. It would help a lot as well as increasing turnover in my opinion

The coffee shop offers baked goods, sweets and coffee. Flat white is good and black coffee is acceptable. Apple and Cinnabon tart is delicious with oats on top. It has a variety of elegant sessions, indoors, outdoors and on the street

The cashier was rude, asked him about one of the pastries.. disregarded my question twice. Will not be coming back based on the service at this branch.

A modern light and roomy coffee shop with plenty of seating inside and out..I had a table outside which was soon cleaned by a member staff( but not with a smile I had an oat milk latte which was only warm and to be honest I've had better which was disappointing. My son had a pot of tea which he enjoyed. Food wise there is so much to choose from and it all looked delicious and so tempting I had a seeded roll with a sausage inside which was light and tasty. We also had a apple cinnamon crumble top cake which was divine. It was nice to sit outside and I would revisit when in the area and try another drink and pastry. A little pricey but to be expected.

Awful. Racist. Discriminatory. I am a black Muslim hijabi woman and upon arrival I had been greeted with looks of hate and made to feel unwelcome and less than. I had been simply minding my business then was told to go upstairs for no reason only to see that there were only black people up there. Was kicked out the entire cafe for alleged “suspicious activity” when all I had done was sit and use my laptop. Would recommend this place if you’re white and rich and like bad food. Never felt so patronised and dehumanised. The man ushering me out was an Indian man who clearly hates his race. Never again.

Very tasty breakfast variations in Danish style. The service was a bit mixed, but in the end we all received the correct products. I had a soft roll with bacon and scrambled eggs, along with an ice latte. I really enjoyed the roll, even though it was quite greasy. I would definitely order this variation again. The ice latte was very good and you could taste the high-quality coffee. The atmosphere in the upper area is very cozy and you don't notice much of the hustle and bustle downstairs. Considering the high food prices in London, you can have a relatively cheap breakfast here.

Wonderful spot just off the heart of London, walking distance from many popular spots. Ideal location for it some seriously good food and coffee, great for soaking up some sun and watching the city of London come to life in the mornings. We got there danish sausage roll, omelette and bacon bagel and espressos. Definitely recommend a visit here

The slowest service I have experienced. The counter is poorly laid out so people in the queue sometimes queued twice. So inefficient. Not a smile or welcome in sight. 15 minutes to get a coffee.

The food was INCREDIBLE. I was raving about it for a week. The cinnamon social is worth visiting London for alone, but the chicken on rye that I had was also phenomenal. 11/10 would eat there again.

Good food and cafe! One of the servers ( a mid aged lady wearing spectacles) need to know that rudeness with the customer will not take her long in the hospitality industry. She wanted me to get into a queue which I wasnt aware from where it started but so she preferred to almost yell at me for that with a terrible frowning face. Not at all appreciable.

Lovely sandwiches and cakes. Beetroot salad was nice and the Greek salad could have had a bit more feta and dressing.

The bread and social slice there are my ultimate indulgence, so much so that I willingly trek from Cheam just to get my fix. But today, I want to shine a light on something equally special: the incredible staff. During my recent visit, Shane went above and beyond to make my day. Despite the weariness of a long shift, his warmth and care shone through, turning a simple transaction into a heartfelt exchange. It's rare to encounter such genuine kindness, especially in the hustle and bustle of city life. Shane's exceptional service not only made my evening but left a lasting impression. To him and the entire team at Ole and Steen Victoria, I extend my sincerest thanks. Your dedication to both quality treats and genuine hospitality is what keeps me coming back time and time again. Mining a Baltic vibe Ole & Steen offer above average pastries and savouries with solid does the job coffee. However they need to reorganise how customers are served if you are eating in. After being given your food there is often a 10-15 minute wait before you get your coffee. This has happened in every branch I have visited. Understaffed but what is on the menu is very good quality..

The chocolate swirl was good but for the love of God, can you please wash your cutleries!! Had to go through about SEVEN cutleries on the counter to find a half decent clean one. The staff even handed me a dirty cutlery from the drawer! Ended up eating with my hands. Ordered a cappuccino got a Cafe au Lait instead smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

Oh Ole and Steen, what has happened to you? I was a fan when you first appeared in London. Today I popped in for a quick lunch and it was dismal. 1. Service team couldn't care less 2. Massive queue built up for coffee as one barista couldn’t get through the orders alone and no-one offered to help 3. Service team just watched customers trying to struggle with cups and plates up or downstairs - no help, no-one interested in mopping up spills along the way 4. My pet hate - food flung on top of a paper napkin on a damp plate so everything sticks 5. The people after me ordered a sandwich and a sweet pastry. The products were dumped together on one plate, again on top of a napkin. The couple didn’t know what to do or how to object so they ended up just shrugging and trying to juggle the plate, their bags and 2 large coffees, trying to find a seat. 6. A man had ordered something hot, then came to sit upstairs alongside me. Nothing happened. After 10 minutes a server stormed up the stairs, shouted his name and absolutely harangued him for not responding when she called his name downstairs. 7. The pastry I had was hard and stale. 8. Someone whisked my plate away before I’d even finished my drink, scattering lots of crumbs as she went. It’s not surprising the place is dirty. AVOID.

Very good coffee, nice drink, I can’t say the same about the staff, they look bored and rude , I wouldn’t go there again.

The only positive thing is the Coffee that was okay, but the staff? The woman who took our order was so bored, unhelpful. The person who made our coffee I never evet fel so disrespected anywhere... She was shouting at us and we felt she just simply doesn't care..... Once we said to her very politely please do not shout because we are just next to her... Almost she was upset... All in all not enough staff there and also they looked like they don't really like their job... Such a shame I need to leave this review but I have been several other Ole & Steen sites and they were top notch.

I had flat white coffee, Cinnamon Social and a chocolate swirl . Both the coffee and pastries are very good. The intensity of the coffee is just right.
