If you want a bad experience come here! A terrible welcome. The staff is not smiling and hardly speaks to you. Small mention for my latte which was forgotten. The staff didn't even apologize. PS: The chocolate swirl was delicious. In short, an average experience that I wouldn't necessarily recommend.

The worse matcha i never try in my hold life , that’s no matcha . Please learn to make real matcha . TERRIBLE

I came here with a friend to do work while grabbing a bite to eat, heard good things about the pastries here so thought to try it out. We ordered a couple of coffees and a Strawberry Tart and Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake, were quite tasty and sweet. Atmosphere was quite lively and comfortable, although a bit too hot inside considering it wasn't that cold outside. Only issue to be noted was when we ordered our drinks and food, our server seemed quite annoyed when we asked him to remake a drink because it was the wrong drink, and had a bit of an attitude when giving the right drink back to us. Otherwise the rest of the day here was quite pleasant.

Can’t make coffee (baristas not trained at all) and extremely rude

Good coffee shop with plenty of seatings and clean toilets. I am not regular to this branch but I have seen this place getting very very very busy ofcourse being central location. I like their coffee so recommend this place and a lot of free tasters too.

We stopped here for a coffee and a sandwich. It wasn't too busy and one the few places we saw that had tables free, only one was clean and not covered with cups and plates. A waiter was clearing, but he was a little behind and it took a while for him to return and clean the tables of crumbs. The service at the counter was quick. We selected two chicken/salad rolls from the fairly wide choice on offer, ordered two coffees, a total of £21!! I know it's London, but you really cannot justify £6.45 for a chicken roll which wasn't exceptional. They had run out of cups with saucers so we had takeaway cups and they had run out of plates and serviettes...not great organisation to keep up with a busy service. It wasn't even peak lunchtime. A busy place for takeaway, obviously they cater more for takeaway...hence the dirty tables and lack of plates etc. I don't feel encouraged to return or to recommend. Expensive and you don't get value for money in my opinion (even with London prices).

I went to the ole and steen on wigmore street and was served by Ricardo who was very friendly when I was ordering and the cinnamon roll was delicious

Nice place but drinks were very expensive (tea, coffee) and all pastries had 2 prices ( a higher one for staying in) and the toilet was in a bad cleaning stage.

Male staff was touching by hand all food on display without wearing gloves.

Really nice coffee and apple + cinnamon cake but the service is cold and abrupt which ruined it. It does t take that much to smile and act like you care if someone is there giving you business.

The ideal place for a small breakfast

Breakfast was really good. It's a bit dear in my opinion, but it is what it is. Bathroom was very clean, and so was the whole place.

Solid ole and steen. Very busy so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. Lots of space as there was an upstairs section with comfortable armchairs and also a downstairs section I didn’t go to. Food is great as always (standard across the chain’s locations, can always rely on it, doesn’t disappoint). Had a nice time with friends. Recommend the app, good rewards system and the £2 almond slice was a sweet deal for sure

Unfriendly and unsmiling service. The order was not taken in full. The lady had neither the time nor the desire.

I usually come here for tea or coffee, until recently I was denied being served by one off the staff there , when asked him on why he refuses to do so : he answered "I do not serve Jewish people" i said why? He refused to answer me and left. His colleague said he is Moroccan but forgot the name she gave me. Just want to mention that staff has to be trained and respectful to costumers.

Very friendly service and welcome. We had Ham and Cheese Toasts with mustard mayonnaise which were delicious!!!!!

A good selection of food, such as sandwiches, pastries, cakes, etc. We sat outside and it was so busy the tables weren't cleaned for a while. When queuing, i asked for the table to be cleaned, but we ended up wiping it down ourselves.

Cute coffee shop with tons of space to hangout out or work. Had the an open face sandwhich, cappuccino, and tea. Open face sandwhich - 4/5 the pickles were great Tea - 0/5, water down and over price - 1 tea bag for a large Cappuccino - 4/5 standard

Great place with plenty of space to sit. They serve very delicious coffee and have a wide variety of eating options, both sweet and savory. I ordered an avocado toast that was delicious but it came with a hard-boiled egg instead of poached, I didn't like that very much. There is usually a long line but it moves quickly.

The Ultimate Chicken Sandwich, Ultimately you are lucky to find any chicken in it! We asked if they had forgotten the chicken? No it's Chicken Paste! Lovely 🍞 bread the rest was rubbish. I ate the top of one half left the rest!

We came this morning for a coffee on our way to the clinic for my husbands surgery, as soon as we stepped into Ole & Steen the service was amazing! Especially from Shah, warm welcoming smile, very kind and welcoming, asked how we were & prayed for my husbands surgery success ♥️ the coffee & granola bar was delicious, thank you 😊

After the barista coughs into your coffee….. you are a little put off. Slow service, under done pastry, and the items did not even come with what’s in the name (bacon instead or prosciutto)

The “Ole & Steen” cafe completely convinced me! The quality of the food and drinks was first class - the freshly squeezed orange juice was refreshing and the pastries were simply delicious. Particularly noteworthy was the friendly staff who created a pleasant atmosphere. The location itself is beautifully designed and offers a perfect place to relax. I'll definitely be back and can only recommend it!

I recently visited this cafe and had an incredible experience. The pastries were absolutely delicious and the coffee was perfect. A special thanks to Shah, who was incredibly sweet, helpful, and kind. His excellent service made my visit even more enjoyable.

The baked goods are excellent, the tea is excellent, and its prices are cheap compared to neighboring cafes

I came on a cruise from France and Spain and this is the best coffee I have tried in these countries. I also had a ham and cheese sandwich 🥪 and it was really good. The pastry was not my favorite. Service and ambiance is great.

Stopped in for a coffee and their famous cinnamon rolly thingy. The coffee was good and the cinnamon roll was excellent. The staff were not very attentive to clearing and cleaning the tables inside and outside. We had to clear the table from the previous customers ourselves. Good place for a quick rest stop and coffee.

The staff were ok but on the day they were not up to standards. I asked for an iced latte with almond milk but they gave me cold almond milk instead and barely any latte. I expected better and was disappointed

Great sandwiches, but serving an open sandwich to eat in with no cutlery? They eventually supplied some wooden implements after I asked (and waited some time); maybe they don’t care for repeat business, being in the heart of the West End.

The bread was delicious, but I felt even better because the clerks were friendly. I plan to stop by again next time I come to London!

The chocolate swirl has my mouth watering every single time.🤤😉 I totally recommend the cinnamon social and the vegan social too. The matcha latte surprised me!🍵 The balcony view is amazing. I recommend this branch for their super cosy vibes-especially those pillows and the music.🦦 The customer service is 💯. The staff are very friendly and attentively listen to your requests. The staff is quick as clearing the tables so you will always have a place to seat.⏳ Btw download the Ole and steen App. It’s super convenient for take away orders, especially if your in a rush.💯

I went there on Monday with my son and ordered coffee, croissants and almond bun. The coffee was nice, croissants was tasty as well. The almond bun was dry and it didn’t taste fresh at all. The place is spacious with seats upstairs and quite a few tables outside which is nice. I ordered few times bread from them and it was good quality so I would buy bread again.

A great spot to people-watch in the heart of London! The coffee is good and atmosphere is better; the popularity of this cafe speaks for itself. A short walk from Piccadilly underground station and Piccadilly Circus, although you wouldn’t know when inside.

Mining a Baltic vibe Ole & Steen offer above average pastries and savouries with solid does the job coffee. However they need to reorganise how customers are served if you are eating in. After being given your food there is often a 10-15 minute wait before you get your coffee. This has happened in every branch I have visited. Understaffed but what is on the menu is very good quality..

The barista bamba and all team have a perfect servicing.

Great place for coffees and cakes at St James . Great service by Namrita who is very fast even when under pressure. Recommend stoping by if in the area .

The best toasties you can get in London!

It was nice to sit outside overlooking the main street. I ordered a flat white, very ordinary and cold, but the cinnamon pie was delicious.

Well came to my favourite coffee shop to meet my son and as always tempted by the array of pastries but the coffee was awesome and the service from the team was great with Salwa breaking the record for the fastest Latte and biggest smile

The atmosphere and the freshness of the food is just amazing. You can really have an amazing brunch with your friends or even read a book and drink a coffee on your own. Stars off of the service because sometimes that staff can be unprofessional and when they give you coffee its like so rude they would almost spill it on you.

Everything was great, great service and delicious coffee.

We went there on Saturday morning for brunch, but many items on the menu were unavailable. We ordered avocado toast with poached eggs. Although it was beautifully presented, both yolks were hard. We also tried two popular sweets, which were ok. One staff member was very nice and friendly, but the younger one seemed indifferent.

My new favorite cafe study spot. Perfect for me to complete work and tasks. Large range of snacks,cakes, desserts and foods to enjoy! Incredibly friendly staff who are incredibly attentive to me and they always are nice to talk to. Truly a magnificent cafe to work quietly in. Jishnu has great interpersonal relationships with me and always remembers me and he just improves the feeling of the cafe being a new home well. He's incredible at his job and enjoys what he does and I can see it by his charismatic energy and interpersonal relationships with the customers and himself.

Asmita had great service with a positive attitude and used her bilingual skills to communicate with people who do not understand English very well. Will definitely be coming here again!

It is a place where you can enjoy a coffee and a snack while wandering around the city. I tried it for breakfast. I tried a product with ham and cheese. It was delicious. The coffee was also of good quality (compared to chain stores). I sat inside, it was quite spacious. I advise.

We tried breakfast products made with gluten-free bread and danish pastry. The taste of the desserts was quite standard, you can find the same taste in many other patisseries. I can't say the same for salted ones. I recommend the bread with chicken sauce to those who want a salty meal for breakfast. Incredibly satisfying. The location is nice, the employees are helpful.

Ordered a Mocha… didn’t taste right.. went back and after 3 attempts couldn’t get it right. Server virtually threw the coffee at you. No manners at all. Then it became a hassle to ask for a refund. Is this what you call customer service? Got my refund and ran!!!

Polite service but extremely slow

Coffee does taste above average but this place is a shambles. Service clogged up by mistakes at coffee point and inaudible communications for most of the customers ahead of me. Not a place to feel chilled in.

We had the kindest and most helpful service from Ilha at Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset. He treated my children so kindly and made some perfect recommendations and went above and beyond to offer help. We felt so welcome here and the pastries were delicious. Thank you Ilhan
