A quick snack before the theater. But the open sandwich was so tired that it had fallen asleep. The hot dog was warm, but the sausage was cold and the bun was dry. And when you're a bakery, the bread can't be dry.

Cinnamon social. That is all! The best.

Went a couple of times during my stay in London this time. Very impressed, very tasty and loved the coffee, I will be regular when I’m around.

Came for a late evening snack to be welcomed by a swam of flies surrounding the food that was being served to customers. Don’t know what that’s all about?

Decent atmosphere. Coffee was a bit weak. Coffee cup and lid were very flimsy. Lid dropped out while drinking, spilling coffee on myself. Quite annoyed at the material used. Clothes stained. Need to use better quality take away cups to provide better price value proposition.

Terrible for the planet. Avoid. This branch of the Ole Steen coffee and bakery chain in central London only offers single-use disposable take-away cups. Even for customers who dine in. When I asked why they did not offer normal ceramic cups, the staff just said it was company policy. This is a disgrace. The store is huge, two or three floors, plenty of space for washing and drying facilities. But of course. It is cheaper and more convenient for the company to use disposables, and hey, who cares about the planet when there is corporate profit to consider. Ole Kristoffersen and Steen Skallebaek - you should be ashamed of yourselves. I wonder if the parent company, Lagkagehuset, has the same terrible policy in Denmark? Maybe not, because the environment is considered important over there. Please can you change this damaging environmental policy for your UK branches.

Excellent breakfast, prices are however high.

pastries were delicious, the two workers were both friendly, fun and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet.

Laptop friendly. I often grab a tea and work from here. There is also outdoor seating and additional seating up stairs.

First time at Ole & Steen and I’m pleasantly surprised! The food is really good, the prices are fair, and the place has a really nice vibe. Plus, there’s plenty of space to work with your laptop. Perfect spot to chill or get some work done!

I was delighted to discover Lagkagehuset in London after moving from Denmark. Back home, it was my go-to bakery on Ny Ostregade, and now I have a favorite location in London as well. This place is a must-visit to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, delicious baked goods, and the coffee, which is just perfect.

I mean, there's a Lagkagehuset in London. I don't think much else needs to be said, but I will: it's great.

Lunch with wife niece and great nephew. Busy eatery in a busy location. Queues to order food but a good selection and we all had toasted sandwiches and coffee. All very tasty. Ground floor upstairs and downstairs. Plenty of room. Toilets clean and tidy with hot water and hand dryers. Baby changing facilities. If in need of a snack bread or pastries are all good. Definitely recommend 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🥪☕️

Super kind and welcoming. I went in for a quick treat and left with more than I expected. The pastries are fresh and delicious, as well as the lattes. Their service is a great representation of what the business is like. Would definitely recommend.

Visited at 7pm this evening and ordered a chicken and pesto sandwich When i bit j to it i found it to be very dry I asked the young man who served me if i could change it and he asked if i had bitten into it. i told him yes that’s how i knew it to be dry. He argued and wouldn’t. change it nor said he was sorry. When i looked closely the. other sandwiches didn’t look any better.

Tatty, dirty tables and floor, staff crashing plates and cubs into a plastic bowl behind where we were sat. First time visiting Ole and Steen with my family as a treat, based on this store and the customer service response after I emailed and complain….i will never buy anything from this company again. Ignorant and patronising complaints staff.

Great variety of bread, their sweet breads are delicious, I recommend the Almond croissant or the “chocolatin” which is flaky bread filled with chocolates. In the same way, they have high-quality coffee to go and very delicious sandwiches that they heat up immediately. The cheese and pesto sandwich is very delicious. It is appreciated that they have plates and tables to sit down to eat. Just be careful as they are completely “cashless” so they do not accept any cash payments.

I always buy cinnamon pastries in different shops that sells them. I love cinnamon pastries and their Cinnamon social is 5/5 for me.

Americano I ordered here was just terrible. Completely watered down coffee.

Good large and quiet cafeteria, to rest for a while after a walk and have breakfast or have something to eat in London, they serve sandwiches, pastries, sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate and more, all of good quality, a little expensive but worth it, you can charge your cell phone at the tables.

Ole & Steen and you signature "Cinnamon Social" is ICONIC‼️ The way it has taken over the Pastry game, the success of this has been transformative. The Full Social went down a treat with friends. Choc&Hazel Nut croissant, Vanilla Cream Bun so creamy and fresh

I stopped here after getting tired from roaming here and there. I had ordered there recommendation of the month vanilla bread which was very yummy. I very nice , clean, cafe with various options of bakery and food items.

Great café for getting work or study done, with good coffee and pastries. But really let down by recently having moved to single use cups for stay-in orders, which feels like a major move in the wrong direction environmentally (and also less pleasant to drink from). Introducing a 50p reusable cup discount alongside this feels like greenwashing. I really hope they go back to proper cups soon!

Food amazing. Try there sausage roll. Most staff are lovely. Small issue. If you need to use the disabled toilet, make sure you get a receipt as the code for the toilet is on it. I wasn't informed (visibly disabled) before and therefore was unable to use the disabled toilet as I didn't get a receipt when paying. When I asked a member of staff if they could help, he was pretty rude and unhelpful.

Nice coffee and lovely pastry’s. Can get busy, so finding a seat might be tricky at times but still work a visit.

I recommend the “social bun” I believe that’s how they call it. It’s so delicious! Nice place. Nice location. A little bit crowded when I got there but totally fine. If I ever come back to London I’ll definitely come back here for a brunch.

I really enjoyed Ole & Steen. Avocado on toast and eggs Benedict that I tried was really well made, and I enjoyed the atmosphere as well.

Friendly service and tasty food. Customers unfortunately don't always clean up after themselves like they do in Denmark, so tables can be a bit messy. Can get very busy and hard to find somewhere to sit.

Dear Ole & Steen Team, I visited your Piccadilly Circus location for the first time yesterday, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. First, I initially thought the store was closed because the door was extremely difficult to open—it required a significant amount of force. I imagine that many people, including young children or elderly customers, would struggle to open it on their own. Despite this, none of the staff assisted me or even indicated that the store was open. I was about to leave when I finally saw someone exiting, which is how I realised I could enter. Once inside, I was disappointed to find the café in an unclean state. The table I sat at still had used cups from previous customers, and the staff were neither welcoming nor attentive. When I ordered a sandwich and asked for it to be warmed, I was abruptly told that this was not possible ( I just wanted it to be warmed as I don't eat cold food). At that point, I had lost my appetite and requested a refund. I was assured that the money would be returned to my account, but nearly a full day has passed, and I have yet to receive it. I will allow more time for the refund to process, but overall, my experience was extremely disappointing.

Coffee is acceptable, cakes are good. But service seems disorganised and many of the labels don’t actually match the items on display.

My favourite bakery in London; I always visit when im in town. The chia rye bread is delicious. The service is excellent, not pretentious.

Chaos - the layout means you don’t have time to browse before being pressured to order. Our drink-in flat whites were served in paper cups and luke warm. I really enjoyed the toasted tuna sandwich though. I think this branch is too large and unwieldy. The charm of Ole & Steen is completely lost here. I tried to submit this feedback directly to Ole & Steen but I kept getting a message saying it couldn’t be submitted.

They don't clean the rooms or change the towels, unless you ask.

Love the Custard Danish, it is delicious. Will be back soon for another

This branch has been shut down yesterday by Westminster council as it has mice infestation due to poor routine hygiene. Ate here daily as work nearby, absolutely disgusted. Whilst posters on the windows claim it’s closed for maintenance.

Ole & Steen products always stand out and are delicious, however the high end cafe experience I used to have in this chain seems to be fading away slightly. This is from the Haymarket branch, less attentive staff, furniture a bit worn down, main door closed, they do not serve coffee in ceramic cups etc.

The cardamom bun was too sweet, with the taste being overwhelmingly dominated by cardamom, leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste. The service was not very fast, but the latte was quite decent.

La calidad de la presentación del lugar no coincide con el café o el servicio al cliente. A lo largo de los años he utilizado esta sucursal y la de Victoria, no volveré a venir aquí.

Staff were rude and dismissive. Lids don’t fit the coffee cups properly. The place itself is nice and a nice atmosphere but the staff need to go back to charm school to request a refund!

Very good place to have breakfast Rabibah is very, very responsive, smiling and pleasant! You can ask her anything, she does it quickly and in good humor.

Got chocolate swirl which was not good. Saggy and too much chocolate. They don’t warm pastry. Seat was torn. Looks like a touristic place.

Great bakery. Our hotel was nearby and we got breakfast here every day. There are even vegan pastries here. Really highly recommended.

Completely baffling experience where they realised they'd run out of the thing I ordered after I had paid so I switched to something different, but they couldn't understand that as the original order cost more than the substitution I wanted the difference reimbursed? The lady behind the counter was perfectly polite, but the supervisor she asked for help was rude and condescending, refused to refund the difference and insisted I wait until they made my original order from scratch. Not ideal when you're in a hurry!

Ran out of breakfast tea bags. What level of rubbish coffee shop runs out of tea bags on a Sunday.

Stay away from the watery hot chocolate

London's least efficient set-up of counters when there are many customers, but usually excellent baked goods. Nothing to detour for.

Tenía un bollo de cardomum y almendra sin sabor a cardomum o almendra, a pesar de las almendras en copos. El bollo estaba muy seco, solo un pan dulce. La galleta de chocolate triple era bastante dura, pero sabía bien.

The employee named Shah is cooperative, polite, and respectful, and serves you with all the love of God that is sufficient and beautiful

Busy place with nice bakery. Freshly made food every time I visited. Coffee is ok and plenty of space to sit, inside or out.

Really enjoyed the selection of food served in Ole & Steen. All the food was freshly made and the quality was excellent. My wife did struggle a bit to find a selection of vegan plates as she is lactose intolerant. But the items they did sell very fresh and tasty. Service could be a bit better if I am paying the prices for teas and coffees I would expect in ceramic cup and not a take away cup if I am sitting insides. But overall very good and would come back.

Mining a Baltic vibe Ole & Steen offer above average pastries and savouries with solid does the job coffee. However they need to reorganise how customers are served if you are eating in. After being given your food there is often a 10-15 minute wait before you get your coffee. This has happened in every branch I have visited. Understaffed but what is on the menu is very good quality..

Quality was fine, but we were very disappointed that our coffees were served in disposable cups. There is no need for this, and their website images are misleading. Poor rating reflects this Cafe's disregard for the environment.

The service here was pretty bad. I’m not a regular, so my group took a few minutes to review the menu and this seemed to annoy the middle-aged employee. He asked us every minute if we were ready to order and was clearly unhappy when we told him we weren't. We let anyone else who came in to pass us in the queue so I don’t understand his attitude. He then asked for whoever was next (me) to go to his register. When I did, he said, in a rude tone, “You already ordered, right?” When I said, “No,” he sighed in disappointment and took my order. I regret purchasing anything to be honest. Given the attitude, the cappuccino and pastry wasn’t worth it. Many great cafes nearby though!

The chocolate swirl never fails to make my mouth water. 🤤 I highly recommend the cinnamon social and the vegan social. The matcha latte was a delightful surprise! 🍵 I recommend this branch for its super cozy vibes—especially the pillows and the music. 🦦 The balcony view is stunning as well. The customer service is top-notch. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your requests. They quickly clear the tables, ensuring you always have a place to sit. ⏳ By the way, downloading the Ole and Steen App is super convenient for takeaway orders, especially if you're in a rush. 💯

This is a particularly good branch of Ole and Steen. We had open sandwiches, which were delicious, followed by very good coffee. It’s a nice room with high ceilings and lots of natural light. There is an upstairs seating area so there are plenty of tables even on a busy lunchtime. Both times we have visited, the staff have been exceptionally charming and helpful

A bit expensive but the quality is nice and you have to pop in this place if you love cinnamon rolls. They make one of the best cinnamon plant based I ever had.

If you want a bad experience come here! A terrible welcome. The staff is not smiling and hardly speaks to you. Small mention for my latte which was forgotten. The staff didn't even apologize. I came here with a friend to do work while grabbing a bite to eat, heard good things about the pastries here so thought to try it out. We ordered a couple of coffees and a Strawberry Tart and Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake, were quite tasty and sweet. Atmosphere was quite lively and comfortable, although a bit too hot inside considering it wasn't that cold outside. Only issue to be noted was when we ordered our drinks and food, our server seemed quite annoyed when we asked him to remake a drink because it was the wrong drink, and had a bit of an attitude when giving the right drink back to us. Otherwise the rest of the day here was quite pleasant.
