Can appear a bit empty during the day but warms up in the evening. Good grilled meats and babganoush. Their menu isn't as extensive as Petek's down the road but tasty.

We recently had a wedding meal at the restaurant, staff were very helpful, polite and accommodating. The food was amazing and the staff were great with fast service with drinks and willing to help. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant serves Turkish food and it is excellent. The lamb shush and the bread are great choices and reasonably priced.

No volveremos.

I have come here once a week. The food is good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. My other half loves the food & the meat is very good & tender. However be prepared the service is haphazard. We sometimes use the Gourmet card which gives you 2 for 1 on main meals but when using this the restaurant decides to add a flat service of £4.50 when our bill came to £22 excl service. They need to be consistent in their charging.I will be going back as my other half constantly craves the chilli sauce & the food in general

Very tasty and simple Turkish food. Fixed menu is cheap but very limited. Food is fresh, clean and very enjoyable. Would be handy if you're dieting: simply marinated meat with salads and bread. The atmosphere however spoilt the overall experience; the very faint music lent nothing to the room, which is in itself just a plain box. Maybe with a few extra people in it would be better. Worth a try though.

Food was ok, but nothing to rave about. But when they found out we were Tastecard users, they added a massive whopping service charge to our bill, which wasn't on the first copy of our bill. When confronted about this, they had no clear policy as to why they charged so much for service for two people. If you are using Tastecard, make sure to ask about service charges upfront, so you are not caught unaware. Or better yet, just skip this place altogether.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with family. Good service and lovely quality food. I ordered the lamb shish and it was melt in the mouth. With a lovely large salad and rice. A mixed grill for 2 was also ordered and it looked amazing. Mountain of meat. It's my new favourite Turkish restaurant

We went to Turkey a few months ago and Ole Pera is the only place in London where we felt food was as genuine and savory as in Istanbul. The service is nice, quick and there are always free tables. Recommend the Moussaka and Yoghurt Lamb Shish.

Very good value and tasty too. In the summer, especially, it has a real atmosphere, but can be very quiet during the daytime.

We tried this restaurant as were craving for some delicious nice Turkish food and also had Tastecard, which was accepted here (2for1). We were not disappointed. Almost ordered some starters as well, but good that we didn't as even with only the main meal we were sooo full. Really enjoyed the whole experience as the decor was quite nice as well, although didn't really liked the spotlights, some more traditional lights would suit better to the place.

We came here for lunch during the week and tried the set menu - two courses for under £10, very good value. Baba Ganoush and vegetable soup were our starters, decent portion size and tasty. Kebabs for main were also lovely, good quality meat and generous helpings of rice and salad.Staff very friendly - and you get tea on the house with the bill. Well worth a visit.

Me and my partner came on a relatively quiet night, service was very attentive and the waiters were happy to recommend classic Turkish drinks and food. There was a traditional Turkish party at the back and they apologised for the loud music (which we did not mind) and then invited to join in the dancing which was such good fun. Food tasted AMAZING and the set menu price is wallet friendly. Will definitely be back

Ole Pera is relatively new to the Stroud Green Road, which is filling up with new restaurants as the area is slowly being recognised as a great place to live and a very convenient hub for transport. We were apprehensive at first at another new restaurant (several have failed) but tried it, and sat outside (a nice feature in Finsbury Park where outside sitting is VERY limited). The food was great - chicken shish is tender and juicy and served with rice and a big salad that actually looks appetising (in many restaurants it doesn't). Ali Nazik on the menu was great - small pieces of juicy chicken in aubergine, garlic, herb sauce. Lovely and with the complementary bread they give you, perfect to mop up the sauce. It is consistently good which is what you want when choosing somewhere to eat particularly after a hard days' work. The only criticism is that it lists 'turkish specials' of lasagne and chips amongst others. This may put some people off expecting authentic turkish cuisine. But still, don't be put off, the rest of the food is great from what we have tried so far.Full marks to Ole Pera for making this a great place to eat - there are not many out of the many restaurants in Finsbury Park but this one I would recommend.

If you like mediterranean food then you will love this little restaurant. Very friendly staff and excellent service. The Lamb was delicious and all the little dips and starters full of flavour and lovely surprises. Extremely, quiet for a Saturday evening, the table next door had the Sea Bass, it looked amazing. If you're ever up this way I would give it a go before the word gets out.

We always come here if we decide we want to eat out and are always shocked at how quiet it is considering how good the food is. I have had better Mediterranean food here then when I was in the Med.

My family and I went to this restaurant on Saturday for my mother's birthday. The restaurant was already packed but they still squeezed in more diners. They were seriously understaffed and we waited ages for our drinks and meals. My friend and sister were still waiting for their meal 50 mins later when we had all been served to be then told that the meal that they had ordered was sold out. My sister ended up eating my mother's left overs as she was so hungry and our friend reordered and waited a further 20 mins.the staff were apologetic but did not offer a reduction in our bill for the appalling service. There were 19 of us in total and all of us said that we would not go back and would not recommend this restaurant to friends.

We had not looked at the previous Tripadvisor reports but now know that they were fully justified. A family group of four. Excellent service; wonderful food. My lamb chops were really well cooked (just as I like them) and rival a steak I had in Arles many, many years ago. We were settling the (very reasonable) bill but, having said we had had plenty to eat, we were nevertheless offered two desserts to share and tea/coffee free of charge! We just coped!! Daughter now based in the area and she, and we, will return, I am sure. Go there!

Such a new restaurant in the Stroud Green area, but a fantastic visit. Specific water who catered to our every need. Especially since we were on the verge of breaking our fast for Ramadan, this waiter went out of his way to ensure we had enough food to break our fast at the exact time. Overall, the service from all was a fine experience. The food, including the mezze was exquisite, stands out from your typical Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants, particularly those located at Green Lanes, not far away. Only less than three months in existence, but I'm undeniably sure that this restaurant will receive a lot of attention soon. GO AND VISIT!!

This restaurant was new to us, perfect service, feeling, and food! Starters were very generous, the mix cold mezze had a very good home made hummus and a tomato based dish that was delicious! As a main dish the lamb was not fatty at all, very good flavor and perfectly tender cooked. Aubergines on the side made a good combination. We were so full after we could not have dessert! Oh, and the house wine we decided to try was very good. We are definitely coming back!

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.
