Old Punch Bowl in Crawley

We recently visiting here for food and drinks for the evening. The food and drinks were amazing and the manager and his team couldn't of been more polite and helpful whilst here. We will definitely be come again

Popped in for a lunchtime drink with friends and ended up staying for food, which was really nice. Great pub and lovely staff.

We popped in for a few drinks, ended up staying a while as the atmosphere and team were great! We did not eat but we could smell the food coming out! The fish looked really good!

When in Crawley, we always make time to visit the Old Punch Bowl. The service and food are outstanding, and the atmosphere is electric. We traveled from California and our visit to this British pub was one of the highlights of our trip. I would recommend to anyone to make this a destination.

I only came in for a quick pint, but the barman Alex in Crawley was amazing, he chatted to me whilst carrying on with his work, we spoke about families and Xmas we had a laugh and he introduced me to a new shot, he was an amazing barman what you want from a pub, so personal and great, manager was cool too, drinks so fresh, I just love the Punch Bowl, and it's cos for staff like Alex

We had a delightful late lunch at this restaurant! The service was exceptional, with Tom going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. The caramelious cocktail, although not on the menu, was a hidden gem - absolutely lush and a must-try! Our meals were served hot, well-cooked, and everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. The ambiance was charming, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. We're already planning our next visit; this restaurant truly knows how to create a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

As I used to live in Crawley I suggested this pub to a friend for lunch whilst waiting for a late flight from Gatwick. On entering the pub it looked quiet but more run down than I remember. We ordered food and sat down. After 30 mins I asked how long the food would be and was told it would be another 20 mins as there were still 2 orders in front of us. This was irritating as the pub was not particularly busy and we were short of time. We were offered the chance of a refund but decided to stay. Eventually one meal came and then we had a further 5 minutes wait before the second one arrived. Afterwards we both used the Ladies toilet and commented that they looked very unpleasant with badly scratched paintwork on the door and in a generally rundown state. Our experience would not encourage us to ever return to this pub again.

Excellent as always. An amazing team always going above and beyond with customer service. They really care about the customers. And the food is always good.

As a first impression our experience here was absolutely awful, we walked in and was greeted by a guy at the bar who didn’t even say two words to us, we were shown to our table, not realising we had to go to the bar to order, therefore waited around. After waiting we then went up to ask and then ordered. After my boyfriend had ordered and paid for our meal and drinks we were told” the chef is on break for an hour so your food will be an hour and a half” this is absolutely ridiculous we had a booking made therefore the chef should have waited. I would not recommend this pub at all the customer service was awful and really let the pub down.

Friday 29th September and we visited here for a drink, this was more by default rather than our intention. We had previously been to Wetherspoons but did not stay as they had no real ale so we ended up here. From the outside it looks like a quaint old pub full of character and old world charm. The Doorman on duty waved us in and we found ourselves in a vast spacious and modernly equipped bar. There were a number of areas, some were new additions like the conservatory others were made to look old with fake wooden beams and pillars. There were some old features still there. There was also an outdoor courtyard area for smokers and patrons wanting to sit outside. When we arrived it was rather busy, there was some entertainment on with a Drag Queen performing in one area of the bar. There was some good music being blasted out aswell. Although it was rather busy the bar staff were on the ball, they knew what they were doing, so there was no long delay waiting for a drink, smooth professional bar service. Spoke to young guy, behind the bar, who served us, the staff were not expecting to be so busy that evening. We explained that we were there because there was no beer in "Spoons". A pint of IPA and a pint of Fosters was £9.30, yes more expensive than "Spoons" but at least we got the drink of our choice with friendly service. Initially we found somewhere to sit around the side of the pub, near the toilets. We did stay for a few more drinks, later in the evening, when the crowds thinned, we moved into a small room, off the main bar, with a massive fire place with a large fuel burner in it. Thought it was an amusing touch to have a Photo booth in the pub, totally in keeping with the obsession for selfies and posing photos. We did have an enjoyable evening here, friendly staff and clean pleasant surroundings.

Well the atmosphere was awesome. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! Both Jed and Sam were so attentive. The food was lovely too! Refreshing and cool drinks too with a large choice. Will defo be going again!

It wasn’t busy when we arrived so orders delivered fast. We sat outside and feel the chilled ambiance. The only downfall is the ladies room not clean to my liking.

Some of the food was cold , meat pie was horrible very little meat and pastry was rock solid , have to praise the staff who did change the cold food but in general food not great . Would not be going back anytime soon
