Amazing delicious authentic Indian food! The paneer Tikka Masala is especially yum😍 Service is a little slow but the food is definitely worth it 👏🏻

We tried this place based on the 4.1 star on google and it was not worth the shot. We ordered karahi paneer, dal makhni, tandoori paratha and cheese garlic naan. All the items were 2/5. The curries didn't have proper salt in it. Their tandoori paratha and dal makhni is okay but again one needs to add salt to it and paratha does not contain any butter and is quite dry. Moreover, the place is so expensive for the dull atmosphere and the type of good offered. The only good thing about this restaurant is its playlist which consists of amazing hindi songs

Food was not fresh. Had chicken tikka that was extremely dry and had added colouring, dal makhni was bad too.

The food is absolutely delicious, one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The waiters are warm and welcoming, would 100% recommend!

I came here after seeing the reviews, honestly I didn’t enjoy whatsoever. I am more used to other Indian restaurants who are Bangladeshi cuisine. I assume this is South Indian, but the menu was deceiving and we didn’t even eat the food. Everyone’s experience is different however and if you’re used to good places this will not be good. Dishoom is right near pay them a visit instead. Or plenty of options throughout Oxford but not here

I ordered jeera chicken, and while the dish looked appealing upon arrival, I found that the chicken was not fully cooked. Unfortunately, this led to a bout of food poisoning that left me feeling unwell throughout the weekend. I had planned a trip to Oxford for the week, and the situation significantly impacted my experience. I hope this feedback can help improve the quality of the food in the future.

Old Delhi is a gem for authentic Indian cuisine, but the standout dish for me was the butter chicken. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The chicken itself was incredibly tender, melting in my mouth with every bite. Paired with fresh naan, it was an absolute delight. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a place that serves truly exceptional butter chicken, Old Delhi is the spot!

We love Indian food and in our 70 years, this is some of the best Indian food ever. The service was very professional, friendly and fast. The only tiny recommendation would be to add chunks of mango to their mango sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend this restaurant. Full bar and wine and takes AMEX.

The service was exceptional, very friendly and happy to help. The food was amazing, and very filling. The prices were reasonable too. I recommend the vegetable starter.

Came here for some dinner, and they overcharged us by 6 pound for service fee! And a Havana price whatever that is😀 I do not recommend this place the men in there were nice but 9 pound for a single shot of rum and coke you can barely taste honestly appaulling. Extra 2 quid on end of bill as well without us knowing. I do not recommend. We shared a dish and it was still pricey!! 50 pounds for 2 people who are sharing!! Awful.

Avoid! Plenty of better restaurants. Don’t be fooled by “good” reviews. Rip off, making quick money from the poppadoms. Put off straight away. Came with onion mixed with some form of tomato and a watery sweet dip. Doesn’t deserve to be regarded as a restaurant. Obviously desperate so ripping off customers. Bill was £33 for 3 drinks and 12 poppadoms when we asked for 6.

Very poor quality of food. Chef hardly knew what is he making. Burden on wallet to go there .

First time at Old Delhi. Didn't think 4,500 could have been beaten but this place did it. All the food was delicious and the service was great. Defo recommend.

Old Delhi is one of my favorite Indian restaurants around the Oxford area. Every dish we have ordered (of which there were many) has been amazing, authentic, and we have quickly become regulars here. The service is also phenomenal and the wait staff is always friendly.

Excellent Indian restaurant! We ordered samosas, butter chicke, rice and cheesenan, everything was very good, well seasoned. Plus, it is halal.

Horrible experience with this restaurant. All the food items that we had ordered barely had any flavor. Service was also very poor. We had to go ask for the cutlery and water. Food was also pretty expensive with every item above £10.

Really disappointing watery curry, the sauce tasted of canned tomatoes. Peshawari naan was also very mediocre and portion sizes were remarkably small. We ordered: Chicken Rogan Josh, Lamb Buna, Pilau Rice & Peshawari Naan

Amazing service and amazing food. This is a great Indian restaurant in Oxford. We often come here for a date night dinner with my husband, we love the food here, especially the lamb dishes which are soft and tender. Would highly recommend.

Good authentic food but below average service! Like most of the Indian restaurants in the UK, standard of service dips below Mariana Trench if they see one of their own. Thus, if colour of your skin is white, then dine in otherwise takeout.

The team at Old Delhi hosted 11 of us for a birthday meal and it was a great experience! The food was delicious, we received great service and they even provided a birthday dessert with a candle. We’d recommend the restaurant as a great option for people visiting Oxford, and want to say a big thank you to the team😊

Hubby and I went on a Wednesday night. Service was friendly and efficient. Typical Indian menu, we had the sizzling starter for 2 which packed a good punch followed by our usual Lamb Madras and Paneer Makhani with mushroom rice and keema naan to share. All cooked really well. Would recommend if in need of a decent curry while in Oxford.

Pathetic experience overall! It was really hot and they didnt have AC’s or fans! Service was super slow. Food was good however.

I had lunch here very nice and quiet place. The food was delicious I loved my curry (lamb Hyderdabi) have never had such curry before super flavourful, not spicy and sweet, but not too much… delicious. The waitress was very kind and smilingly all the time.

I had a wonderful experience at the Old Delhi in Oxford! I went there for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, full of authentic flavours and perfectly spiced. Every dish we tried was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome at the moment we walked in. The restaurant is well-organized and spotlessly clean, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Old Delhi offers a fantastic dining experience with top-notch food and excellent service. I’ll be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine in Oxford!

Excellent little Indian restaurant. Diverse, fresh and beautifully seasoned. Between courses there were always little greetings from the kitchen. Extremely good.

This was one of my favourite restaurants ever great service and great food. The food came really quickly and I loved how I can pick the spiciness of the food. Highly recommend.

Good place to eat. Saag Paneer was really very tasty but bhindi masala better avoid. Overall good place with lots of space and very good staff.

Currently sat here, waited 30 minutes before any staff came over. 40 minutes in and only just got drinks. One out of chutney and 1 popadom each for £2. Atmosphere wise, feel like I’m sat in a fast food joint minus the fast. Also been told my starter, on the starter menu takes too long so comes out with the main… not much of a starter Hopefully the curry is worth the wait

Food was just okay. Tried lamb hyderabadi and chicken machusi. Both were good. Prices were high. Naan shouldn't be priced at 4.5£ imo. The ambience was good. Servicing was the best part. That girl Divya served us really well. She knew the manners and was too kind to us. Overall good experience

The food was 10/10!! I had the Madras curry and it was perfect. I was also very impressed with the ambience in Old Delhi alongside the excellent service I received. Definitely visit if you’re in Oxford and craving some authentic Indian food!

The restaurant is next to the parking lot which makes easier to access. The staffs were very polite and friendly, we ordered chilli paneer, onion bajji, veg jalferaji, dal makhni, naan & veg biriyani. All the dishes tasted its best. They have a good seating facility for families, washrooms are very clean and neat. Must visit!

Try opening your mind to eat this time of year. The food is delicious, clean, easy to eat.. reasonable price. The restaurant is about 300 meters from the parking lot in the center of Oxford. Walk up (right hand side). Atmosphere in the store Doesn't smell bad ,The employees dress cleanly and don't scratch the eggs before serving😅 Order FF and make no mistake, afraid you won't be able to eat anything.🤣🤣

one star for the actually tasty tikka masala. Centuries long waiting, man, 20 mins for getting a waiter to take your order, another 50 mins for first dish to come, another 15 mins for your lassi In my country, I would finish my order in 2 mins by qr code, get my food in 15-20 mins and get out the restaurant in 30 mins in totally. that is unacceptable long

A restaurant that makes you hungrier, what a novel idea. Food took an age to arrive. We got our starter after a bit of a wait, but the main came so long after I was feeling hungrier than before the starter. Everything on the menu is spicy, literally just a Korma off the mains that doesn't have a chili next to it. Not a problem for me because I like spicy food, but be warned in case you're dining with someone who doesn't. They won't be able to eat any of it. My advice is, if you're the kind of person who enjoys punishingly spicy food, don't go to the restaurant! o/Order it in, clear your entire evening (because it might take some time to arrive) and enjoy the spice as much as you can before you need a lie down. No way you'll be wanting to eat here and then go out after, too spicy and everything will be closed by the time your food arrives anyway.

Ambience is good and they recieved us with a warm welcome, we have ordered chilli chicken,butter chicken,tandoori roti and garlic Naan, mango Lassi... chilli chicken is not up to the mark but butter chicken tastes good and mango Lassi is ok ok, roti and Naans are too good...felt the items prices are a bit expensive...overall experience is good.

Had dinner here with friend family. Ordered the masala and the korma lamb and the chicken, side with naan and rice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Taste and quality of the food is perfect. The Raj lager is recommended. Would be great if they can provide IPA draft.

We took friends here and enjoyed it a lot. Quiet atmosphere and the dishes were a bit of a variation than what we have had in other places but with a good twist.

Food was pretty nice, nothing out of the ordinary, but no complaints. Unfortunately I walked an hour to get here and was disappointed. The Tuesday night service was SO slow. Restaurant only about one third full, I think there was a manager and one server, but the kitchens were backed up and unable to cook any faster. There were no events on and seemingly no reason for a delay. Even drinks orders were delayed. I would have ordered more food and drinks, but they weren't forthcoming, and nobody visited the table to check how the food was or if I wanted anything, so I left as soon as I'd finished my main dish.
