Decent food, seems very popular The main criticism is the place smelt like dogs (yes they allow animals inside)- it didn't smell clean at all.

Sometimes you only realise how good a place is when you visit the local competition on days when this is closed. I just drank what tasted like hot dishwater elsewhere at a 25% higher cost, when I ordered a decaf coffee. It reminded me how much I miss my coffee here on Mondays and Tuesdays when the cafe is closed. The quality is great and the service excellent, with the proprietors and staff having a friendly word for everyone. The ambience of sitting in the park on sunny afternoons too is amazing and even if we don't always get the weather to do that in this country, the coffee and services makes up for that. Mimi, Michael and their team provide the sunshine. Overall this might not be on the main drag in Charlton but it's at the heart of the local park and it's the indisputable No 1 coffeeshop in the area. I would prefer it to be open 7 days a week but the fact of going elsewhere has reminded me just how valuable an asset it is to the area on those days when it is open. It provides a great service to the community and is a wonderful focal point. Vital part of the community.

This is an excellent little cafe inside Charlton park. Run by a lovely couple, Michael & Mani. The breakfast style menu is brilliant and the hot drinks are also excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the service warm and friendly. It's very small inside and most people sit outside when the weather is good. Definitely recommended 👍🏾

The Old Cottage is a lovely spot for a cuppa and a sit down in the middle of Charlton Park. Inside, you get to use the miscellaneous unmatched china but outside, you get to watch the busy park and all the people playing and passing through. The coffee is excellent - go for a flat white if you like it strong and milky. Recommended are the Breakfast sandwiches - my personal preference is the sausage on brown with some HP on the side. The place has a lovely community feel to it and is dog friendly - what more could anyone want in a built up area?

Love this place. Often pop in after a swim at the lido. Friendly service, nice food and drink but genuinely just a nice little community spot. Proper cakes too :)

This quaint little coffee shop is worth a try. Don't expect gourmet food but the service is good and fast.

We had a lovely Mother’s Day roast dinner. Everyone that served us was brilliant but a particular mention to Kyle who moved our table when it was very busy when the sun was bothering my son and husband. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Thank you

Went in here for a breakfast, can’t fault the value had a healthy breakfast (2 poached eggs, tomatoes, mushroom, 2 toast, beans & avocado) for a great price. However would suggest having larger plates to fit everything on and beans in a pot to keep warm. Unfortunately ordered a flat white & cappuccino and wasn’t great at all (more just like an instant coffee) would be great if they did proper barista style coffees. Overall was okay, don’t think I’d visit again for breakfast. Some of the fabric chairs were quite grubby as well and not sure if it was just when we went, but was very cold in there. I think a few small tweaks would go a long way.

forget about central London famous pubs. come to Greenwich and get to see a real English pub. and maybe you get to meet Gabriel, which may be a big part of your Pelton Arms experience with his friendly hospitality and cheerfulness. Overall: fantastic.
