a true haven for real ale brilliant customer service and great value for money.a credit to the landlord for creating a great ale house.there is not enough of these establishments and i recommend a visit as a must for all true ale drinkers

It’s a SE London Real Ale Micropub. Great real ale, some wine and snacks. Regulars have named tankards. Mounted heads of Peroni drinkers on the wall. No kids, no dogs. They’re not trying to be anything that they aren’t and I respect them for that. Decent prices. Only gripe is that it’s card only, but I understand that cashing up/ change can be a hassle.

Friendly neighbourhood micro pub with fantastic range of craft ales from small breweries. Also Kent and Sussex wines. Good atmosophere, no loud music, slot machines or TV screens. Go there to enjoy a good pint and meet neighbours old and new.

Great small pub with local ales that rotate frequently and are reasonably priced. However, this means that sometimes it’s pot luck on weather there will be an ale you like if you don’t enjoy bitters as the other ale styles available rotate with the menu.

Ok, so hands up, I do like a micro pub and a locally brewed real ale! The Long Pond gets a big tick in all these areas. Great to see a community pub full of locals on a Sunday lunchtime, buzzing with chat. Good selection of beers and friendly staff

Nice little real ale pub and very welcoming. Plenty of space inside and I didn't get the feeling I was an intruder entering a closed club which seems the standard for real ale pubs at the moment. Definitely will return when I'm next in the area.

"Tradiional" format micro pub but with an additional room with normal chairs rather than tall stools, They have a house best bitter called "Pond Life" and a fair selection of other draft beer. Do big jugs. Friendly staff.

Nice little micropub close to Oxleas Woods. Doesn't look like a pub from outside, but don't be put off, the landlord is friendly and the beers very welcome after a wander in the woods 🍺

4 great casks on.Good atmo with friendly customers plus a range of daily newspapers to read if you want.Other drinks and food also available.

Lovely micropup Friendly relaxed atmosphere. My husband assures me that the excellent range of real ales are always in tip top condition. I enjoy the wine or gins on offer. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. If you live locally make it your local, you wont be disappointed.

Great beer and customer service. You can buy and take away kegs of 5 litres. Can drink from the keg, don’t need any machine.

Top class .. excellent ales and fine wine looking forward to going back for a pint and a ploughman's or the cheese and meat board .. bar staff really friendly .. a great place to just sit and chat.

Felt pretty specialist. Good choice of beers but it feels like someone has put a few chairs in a shop and called it a pub.

Lovely place in a residential area. Good range of ales and Duddas Tun cider. Snacks also available, which include crisps, and bowls of nuts and pork scratchings. Or you could go for the pork pie. There's a room off the main bit that resembles more pike 80s pub decor, which I found nostalgic. Gets busy at lunchtimes. Usual fine for use of mobile phone if talking on it! Staff fine. Worth a visit!

excellent ales and usually have a superb porter on all lovely chapel down wines from kent as well interesting to see some other reviews on here - it's a micropub not a microbrewery, you can't bring babies in under the license they have and no one wants to listen to other people 'take important phone calls' you are free to go outside if it's important but this is one of the things that makes the place so popular fair enough if it's not for you but think a bit before posting unfair reviews on a small business I've never ever seen the staff be anything but courteous and I've been there upwards of 50 times

This is a fantastic little pub, full of local people. It has a great selection of beers and some nice wine. It’s very small with not much seating, and I personally really like the no phones rule.

Recently, me and a group of my friends and family went to the long pond for the first time and needless to say we were very, very disappointed. There was absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever, no music and the wine and nuts were very overpriced. We were told that we would not be allowed on our phones and got an evil glare when one of my friends had answered an important phone call. The staff were very, very unwelcoming and strict! The man serving us had a small beard and a dark ponytail (I would say in his 20s) and was incredibly rude and patronising to 6 young adult women. The whole evening he was staring at us - giving us an evil glare- and he was very quick to rush us off despite it only being 9:30pm. Me, my family and my friends felt very unwelcome. I was surprised by how arrogant and rude the customer service was, especially considering the tacky decor and generally tense atmosphere. It is clearly just for a specific demographic - old, white, men. I would definitely stick to another pub, preferably the GPO on the high street because the staff are welcoming and there is a warm and cosy atmosphere. As well as this, they have lovely comfy sofers as oppose to hard and tiny wooden chairs.

This is a fantastic little bar. A great selection of ales with comfortable seats and tables and very friendly staff. They don't play music (except on live music nights) so it is a great place to go for a chat with friends. The ales selection changes regularly so every visit will have something new to try. And the house bitter, Pond Life, is very tasty. The price of a pint ranges from £3 to £3.60 most of the time.

After going in with my family, including my sister with disabilities (who is 18 so very much allowed to be in there), I felt very unwelcome from the start. We were stared at by staff for the whole evening in a very unfriendly manor, and felt like we were being judged for brining my sister (who did nothing wrong). There was member of staff who was particularly rude. This is not what you want from a local pub in a very family orientated area/road. It does not fit well with the rest of the businesses around, and if you find yourself in the area you are better off going to the much warmer GPO on the higstreet.

I was very disappointed with the service here. A particular man whos name i do not know (he had dark hair in a ponytail, i'd say mid twenties) was belittling and patronising to four adults. There was a DRIP on red wine in the bottom of a tumbler and the gentleman, after collecting our glasses returned to, quite aggressively, accuse us of giving wine to an underage drinker out of the tumbler. He was unfriendly, cold and made us feel unwelcome. We were consistently stared at thoughout our time. Also, what's with the lack of music, no phone policy and tacky wallpaper? There is no atmosphere. I won't delve into the prices of the drinks but 2 pounds for 4 nuts? See ya later, long pond.

Recientemente, yo y un grupo de mis amigos y familiares fuimos al estanque largo por primera vez y no hace falta decir que estábamos muy, muy decepcionados. No había absolutamente ningún ambiente, ni música, y el vino y los frutos secos eran muy caros. Nos dijeron que no se nos permitiera llamar a nuestros teléfonos y recibimos una mirada maliciosa cuando uno de mis amigos tuvo que responder una llamada telefónica importante. ¡Eran muy, muy poco acogedores y estrictos! El hombre que nos servía tenía una barba pequeña y una coleta oscura (diría en sus 20 s) y fue increíblemente grosero y condescendiente. Toda la noche nos estuvo mirando de forma negativa y fue muy rápido para apresurarnos a pesar de que solo eran las 9: 30 pm. Yo, mi familia y mis amigos nos sentimos muy mal recibidos. Me sorprendió lo arrogante y grosero que era el servicio al cliente, así como la decoración pegajosa y el ambiente generalmente tenso. Claramente es solo para un grupo demográfico específico: viejo, blanco, hombres. Definitivamente me quedaría en otro pub, preferentemente el GPO en la calle principal porque el personal es acogedor y hay un ambiente cálido y acogedor. Además de esto, tienen cómodos sofás cómodos que se oponen a las duras y pequeñas sillas de madera.

Dropped in with family for a Christmas lunch quick pint. Left three pints later. Great selection of beers and a very friendly atmosphere despite the fact it was extremely full.

Really wanted to have a quiet drink a this microbrewery. Travelled to Eltham to try this place. No where did I see anything to say we couldn’t bring my newborn son. Who was asleep with ear defenders on in a front pack. After walking in the rain from Mottingham station and seeing the signs outside stating no vests, no dogs etc no where was there anything/sign about no babies. Until we went to sit down & I unzipped my coat we were told no babies so had to leave.

I loved this small, friendly bar. The cask beer was in stunning condition - possibly one of the best kept beers I've ever encountered.

I love this place. It has friendly staff and the best kept real ale anywhere i know. Food wise it is not a restaurant but if you want something to nibble on over a pint the cheese and cold meat platter is my personal fave.

Pint of Pond Life is good. Only 3 quid as well!

Seis cervezas (5 siempre cambiante) de diferentes tipos, que van desde la casa amargo £3 una pinta, a través de rubias, encara a la fuerte cerveza negra normalmente alrededor de £3. 80 en condiciones absolutamente de primera categoría.

A quirky local pub which feels more like having a beer in your own home. Mobiles are banned - well talking on them which is great. The amazing thing about this small unassuming drinking establishment is that it sells the most incredible range of real ales. Well worth the visit! Something different.

Qué cambio para encontrar un lugar donde los teléfonos móviles no van y no hay platos de comida para conseguir empujado pasado su cabeza. No había niños gritando o o reuniones de mujeres antes de recoger a los niños. Deseo que había estado abierto hasta las 3 de la tarde. Bien vale la pena un poco de mirar por la ventana

Micropub with a piano and strict no phone policy. Good range of house and guest ales, lovingly maintained. Some carpeting would help the acoustics but the atmosphere overall is always pleasant.

Will always be my first and last stop when visiting Eltham. Just s great place to meet friends over a great pint of beer.

Tiene una fuerte local y es el actual SE London Pub CAMRA del año, totalmente merecidamente. Que debía visitar este pub muy amable lejos más a menudo de lo que hacer.

Great little place. You can’t use your phone nor do they accept dogs and their beer is mainly warm (great ales on offer) but people are great and the place clean and well decorated. We always keep coming back.

Great local real ale establishment - have just spent a wonderful Christmas Day lunchtime here but like many craft brewery the place attracts a higher class of sociable human being - wonderful beer of course as well of a good range of wine - highly recommended
