Okapi Kitchen in Leicester

Tomé el té encantador de la tarde con algunos amigos. Después de leer otras reseñas optamos por mezclarlo un poco y tomar los tradicionales tés de la tarde junto con la opción de tapas. Ambos eran deliciosos y un montón de ella. El personal era muy atento y el entorno es fabuloso. Definitivamente iré de nuevo.

Hoy fuimos a Okapi para celebrar los 12 años de mis hijas. Primera vez en este lugar, ya que estaba buscando un lugar local con buena comida y un gran ambiente. El interior era hermoso y tenía un ambiente agradable al instante cuando entramos. Rápidamente fuimos recibidos por un encantador joven Finn que nos sirvió durante todo nuestro tiempo allí. Él era tan educado, servicial y nos explicó todo. Fue genial que mi hija pudiera tomar un batido estilo frappe ya que el té y el café estaban más enfocados en adultos. La comida era increíble. Nos sirvieron rápidamente con bebidas calientes / frías primero y poco después de una increíble extensión de cerdos en mantas, sándwiches frescos de pavo y relleno, pavo y arándano, queso y chutney y jamón y mermelada. Había brownie, tarta de queso, fresas bañadas en chocolate, pastel picado franchipano y bollo de frutas crema coagulada y mermelada. Quedaron muchas cosas y Finn amablemente nos trajo el resto. Bien hecho chicos y seguir el gran trabajo!

Visitamos como un grupo de 8 para el almuerzo Todos pedimos comidas diferentes , tenemos unos pocos que tienen requisitos dietéticos, intolerancias al gluten y a la soja, dieta vegana/vegetariana Todas las comidas salieron juntas y todas fueron correctas La comida era excelente y generosa Hay un buen ambiente en este lugar y el personal es excelente Volveremos todos 😋😋😋

He estado en Okapi varias veces desde su apertura. Tanto para el desayuno como para el almuerzo. La comida es fantástica y muy sabrosa. A veces dentro puede ser muy ruidoso. Así que preferimos estar sentados afuera cuando hace más calor. Puede estar ocupado, por lo que a veces la comida tarda algún tiempo en aparecer, pero generalmente esto es solo suerte del sorteo en cuanto a cuándo vas. Vale la pena esperar en mis ojos.

Excelente comida en un entorno encantador. Personal amable y profesional. No puedo fallar este lugar, 2a visita. Fabuloso volveré pronto.

A really nice place, attentive staff. A good choice of breakfast at a reasonable price. One personal gripe..why put mixed seeds on the Eggs Benedict? My son had the loaded Ciabatta and wife the full English. Both were tasty and good value. It gets very busy so you may want to book but not sure if that’s possible.

First visit today and it won't be the last. Okapi has a very broad food and drink selection at very reasonable price. We had cottage pie x 2 and a chicken burger plus drinks. The food is freshly cooked which means there wasa short wait of ten minutes. Not an issue given the quality of the food. The chicken burger was a big piece of grilled chicken breast with salad and chips and the cottage pie was fresh mince plus steamed veg. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. The staffwere friendly and we were made to feel most welcome. Plenty of parking.

This was our first visit and unfortunately fell well short of our expectations. The decor is lovely although it is rather noisy inside. The biggest problem for us was the service. Our order was taken fairly quickly and drinks arrived soon after although the wait for food was around 45 minutes. What made it worse is that one of our party ordered a pastry which came fairly quickly, but not with the other items we had ordered. Whilst expressing our disappointment at the very slow service, all the staff could say was that we were there at a busy time! Maybe so, but that’s their problem, not ours and if there was a delay with items coming out of the kitchen, they should have told us at the time of ordering. There seemed to be a lack of customer care and not obvious that anyone was in charge.

Okapi Kitchen is such a hidden gem! Located in Blaby Golf Centre, this new restaurant is a must visit. Serving breakfast, lunch, and tapas, there’s no way you can be stuck for choice. We have visited twice for breakfast and both times I was delighted by the incredible food served. I have tried the Okapi Breakfast as well as the Fully Loaded Ciabatta. Both were cooked to perfection and you could tell that the ingredients used were of a high quality. For drinks, I first had an iced hazelnut latte and the second time I had a peach iced tea. Both drinks were so tasty with no faults! I am definitely intrigued about their lunch and tapas menu, so will be visiting at some point to try those out! I’ve heard good things about the pizza🍕👌🏼. Having the restaurant located in the golf centre also makes for a great time out! Our most recent visit followed a round of crazy golf on the Congo River Crazy Golf Course! There’s nothing better than tucking into a delicious meal after a competitive round of crazy golf🙌🏼.

A lovely breakfast with my family. A great range of drinks and really super food. A wide range of traditional and vegetarian items, and really friendly service.

Came for breakfast after being recommended by a friend. We were very impressed by the interior. All the staff were nice & friendly & the food was lovely. Will definitely be going back

Lunch with group of friends. 13 of us altogether including several with limited mobility. The staff moved tables to make access easier. The food was good and service was quite good. Reasonable prices. Would have been nice if the menu had included jacket potatoes and soup but everyone found something they liked. Newly refurbished with attractive decor. Level access from car park. Would go again.

Me and my wife had breakfast there and thought it was the best we’ve had in the whole county. The service was fantastic, and great value too. Highly recommended!!

We visited Okapi, after hearing a positive experience from a friend. It was for breakfast, so it was fairly quiet, and although its on the outskirts of Blaby, its well worth the trip. The décor is nice, with an option to sit outside. All the staff we spoke to were welcoming and friendly, and gave great service. The food was lovely, and came in good time. My only caution would be, is that its not supermarket café prices, but you do get what you pay for, and that said, we really enjoyed our visit, and will return.
