Absolutely delicious pizza and garlic bread

Super nice pizza in town! The freshly bake pizza dough tastes so amazing!🍕

Pizza look, smell, and taste absolutely delicious. I would recommend adding the tandoori chicken onto any pizza. The only negative is that my pizza looked more burnt than others. But maybe they’re meant to be like that. I would prefer less time in the oven for mine. Wife’s pizza looked 10/10. Ordered Lime Soda however was disappointed it came in the smallest glass. If it weren’t overly burnt and drinks were cheaper for such a small glass, it would have been a five star dining out review. Will be going back for sure. Great service.

I popped my head round the door and politely asked if my daughter could use the loo. Sorry sir it’s against policy. She’s 4. Sorry it’s against policy. I’d recommend the lovely cafe opposite. Far more accommodating

Stopped off to collect a takeaway deep dish pepperoni and red onion pizza with extra cheese. It was a quality pizza, freshly made and the dough was light a beautiful. I will be back! Yum!

I’ve only ordered online but what I can say being Italian myself this is definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve tried in Leicester the dough is incredible really does make up for it’s name 100% Recommend

Mammas pizza teast really good, but way too soggy, to the point you have to use a fork to eat it, The service is good but the music is way to loud.

Amazing deep dish pizza at a competitive price point. Nice staff in a casual eating environment. I would say service was slightly slow given we went at a quiet time but the overall experience was great. Would definitely recommend!

Food was delicious and is all made fresh, so dietary requirements weren't an issue at all. I'm a vegan that doesn't eat onions or garlic and this was no issue whatsoever. The pizza, the chips and the desserts were outstanding. The vegan chocolate fudge cake and lotus biscoff pizza were so good that I will definitely be back for more. Definitely be going back!

We were visiting Leicester for the evening and by chance came across Dough What. Genuinely the most delicious pizza we have had in a very long time. Service was quick and attentive. We do not live nearby, which is probably a good thing for my waistline 🤤 Will 100% visit again if we find ourselves back in Leicester.

We did a big order from Dough What for a birthday party at the real ale classroom last week. The team at Dough What were brilliant from start to finish. They provided great advice of how much food would be needed and not too pushy about offering too much, they even offered to cook more pizzas on the night as needed. On the afternoon itself, the team set up a table with all the food on theirselves, making it very pain free for me having to set anything up and socialise with guests. They even staggered the delivery of pizzas so that we always had warm pizzas. The pizzas were all amazing and guests were constantly commenting about the pizzas being “very delicious” and saying they’d need to go some day soon to the restaurant.

This restaurant is not to be missed!! The food was incredible. We tried garlic bread, nepolitan, and deep dish bases (all vegan options), and they were incredible. The atmosphere is lovely & staff are friendly & attentive (whilst being very busy). Recommend this place to anyone that loves a proper, authentic pizza. Definitely the best pizza in Leicester, if not the Midlands (I've tried a lot of pizza)!

Amazing pizza and lovely pasta! Staff are really friendly and it's really good value for money. This is our default spot now whenever we want pizza because it's just so delicious and we love authentic Napolitano pizza

Great Pizza! Collection ordering online seemed to be down so I called and was able to pay over the phone and collect within 15 mins.

We tried a neapolitan and deep pan pizza. Both pizzas had a decent taste to them but nothing that would blow you away. The neapolitan cornicione was a tight structure making it a very doughy texture. The crust only had a slight crispness to it and was completely soft on my neapolitan Margherita.

A lovely Father's Days lunch, we have visited twice now and have loved both visits. Delicious fresh pizza, good service and nice atmosphere!

Good pizza and wide range of topping choices. I would advise against getting extra cheese... it was far too much (and I love cheese)

Visited at lunch time, not too busy. Great friendly service and lovely pizza. Definite disappointment was the affogato. Previously had it with a thick helping of ice cream all around the inside of the glass/cup, with the coffee poured on the middle, makes for a thick creamy affogato - had this several times in Italy. Unfortunately,I was served with coffee and a dollop of ice cream. The ice cream had shards of ice indicating that the ice cream has already melted and then refrozen. This is the reason for marking down from 5 stars

If I could give a one star I would . I came here on Saturday around 6pm and I was rudely dealt with by the front of house with curly hair and blue jeans and curly hair immediately when I came in I was not welcome at all to which she looked at me like I did not belong in the restaurant I choose to sit and dine inside to which I was shown a space at the back which I was fine and one minute into sitting down this rude member of staff which I suppose was a supervisor came straight to me requesting what I wanted to it and I told her to give me 5 minutes as I am indecive as this was my first time coming to this restaurant and then one minute and she came back to which I told her she needed to give me time and then she gave me the dirtiest look that made me so uncomfortable I was scared. Hoping she would not come back again I made eye contact with another member of staff which was from an Asian background and she was lovely after that the rude supervisor saw me charging my phone at the back which she proceeded to tell me off in a restaurant full of people for charging my phone ?????? When the plug was right at the back of me . I brushed that off because I had already ordered my food and what made me contemplate my presence was clearly not wanted here was when the rude girl came up to me before my food had arrived and asked me to pay for my food when I clearly witnessed with my two eyes her taking payment for the two people who sat next to me after their meal . To which I left the restaurant because you would think in 2024 this sort of behaviour would be acceptable to a black young girl going on a solo date on their own . Clearly someone needs more training on customer service and equality and no discrimination

Deep dish pizza is really good. The standard crust is fresh, but the deep dish is the star of the show. Good service too. Prices are steep these need to come down I feel as I wouldn't return at this price in a hurry.

The best pizza we’ve had! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here, bruschetta pizza and fries were all delicious. You can tell everything is made fresh. Our 2 year old loved it too. Great service. Thank you!

It was not as good as it needs to be. Price is expenve compared to taste and service. Staff was very poor and the pizza was like pizza which you can buy from cheaper shops. And the pepsi was hot, very bad

We visited a few weeks ago and I am SO glad that we did. The service was brilliant, the speed and efficiency was great. And now on to the main event, the pizza... The pizza? INCREDIBLE. I opted for the vegan deep pan Chicago style and my goodness, it was DELICIOUS. So, so, so tasty. Full of flavor. Dough What is now possibly my favorite pizza place anywhere. Delicious food, great staff and a quirky little location. Keep up the fantastic work. I can't wait to go and enjoy the delicious pizza later today, 10/10.

Went Saturday lunchtime - my (gluten free) pizza was lovely, staff were really friendly. It was nice to try somewhere that you walk past a lot but never go into. I would definitely go back.

Just had a lovely lunch here today. Beautifully cooked and freshly made pizza. Very good quality and home made. The fries were really tasty too. It was delicious. Service was excellent — All the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way. We sat outside as it was a warm day which was nice. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely come here again.

Good pizza, fairly priced. The pizza was well cooked and presented. A fair amount of varied toppings. On one of our Pizza, we asked for a change of toppings, this was given, without any hesitation. Overall a good pizza. No sudden and embarrassing to remove, appearance of the service charge, for a normal expected service. The acoustics in the place are noisy. A small place when full can make the place noisy.

A place that I keep coming back too from time to time, it’s great! So many food options, finally a place that has so a variety of vegetarian options! Tried the pasta and pizza and I love both (but defo the pasta more). Service can be slow and food can take a while which is a slight shame but always happy to get good food at the end of it!

Hands down the best pizza spot in town! The baileys tiramisu was also soo good a must try!

I never leave a review but imma write my first one ever. Firstly in all honesty the service and the people were lovely, the atmosphere was good aswell but the food....omg I ordered a margarita pizza and it was literally rubber for cheese with a gallon of oil in the middle to the point where just the crust was not soggy. I never had food leave my body that quick and my stomach was churning like crazy trying to get rid of the food. It didn't even take 10 mins for it to leave my body. I'm sure some people like this food but for me it was like eating plastic food. It's a shame cus they were so lovely but I would reccommend them not using stringy rubber mozerella cheese and maybe add some cheddar instead. The sauce base was literally bland and it would've been better with more salt and seasoning. Lastly the amount of oil the cheese produced just made the pizza a soggy oil mess, they added so much cheese that my friend actually choked on it. I would give it a 0 stars for the food if I could.

Would really recommend!! Went here with my partner the other night and ordered “the chorizo” I have to say this is the best pizza I’ve had in a while reminded me of one I had in Italy haha. Will definitely be coming back, thanks for the amazing food!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Im not native to Leicester, so when we visit, we typically wander aimlessly until we find a chain restaurant. One of the staff members saw us looking at the menu and explained there was fresh dough made every day, and we were sold. I had a deep dish prosciutto, and it was fresh, delicious, gooey goodness. Perfectly prepared, and the price for what you get is more than reasonable. The service was lovely, too. Will definitely be returning, thank you!

Amazing Neapolitan Pizza place. Tasty authentic pizza, very lively ambiance. Very attentive and caring staff. The menu is very good and has great options for different pizzas. Really enjoyed the hand pulled base for the pizza. They also have good selection of desert pizzas. I also enjoyed that they have variety of vegetarian dishes. Overall I really recommend this place

Mamma Mia, if you want a decent neopolitan pizza outside of Italy, give this place a try. The menu may seem limited, but there is more than enough on offer. On this visit I had the deep dish meat feast. It was like a molten cheese and meat sundae in a crispy pizza base. Banging. My only issue is the speed of service. I’ve been to a lot of pizzerias and can make my own in about 90 seconds, so waiting over 35 minutes is 20 minutes too long for me. Granted the place was busy, but everyone was waiting by the looks of things. Sort out the service timings, as this has been an issue on previous visits, and it’d be spot on. Other than that ‘Molto Buono’

i’ve been in disbelief that i could get a genuinely great tasting deep dish in the UK until I tried this place. we just chanced on this place whilst visiting leicester from notts and will be coming back frequently just for their pizza

Randomly popped in, with the family as we were walking past and fancied pizza. Very nice, authentic and ACTUAL stonebaked base and great toppings. All of the family, enjoyed their own pizza and the feedback was that their pizza was a big thumbs-up for everyone. Thank you Doughwhat (I said I'd leave some feedback, so here it is).

Nice fresh pizzas and good ingredients but it’s a shame as meal is not as filling as portion size are too small and not good for the value of money . Overall felt like chaotic,disorganised restaurant Toilets and restaurant dirty and very outdated since pizza express times. Lots of clutter and Christmas/Valentines decorations have not been removed yet.

I was treated to the lunch at Dough What by my family and what a treat it was!? We were warmly received and a ramp was brought out for my wheelchair before we had a chance to ask you it. The Pizzas were delicious, with stretchy cheese deep dish dough , yummy! Definitely go there again and highly recommend Dough What .

Not bad food staff are slow but

Good food, very welcoming and friendly staff, and we felt very well looked after. It was great to have the option of having pizza without tomato sauce (as my OH is intolerant), we had the different styles of pizza base and both were lovely. There are some great pizza places in Leicester and if you like pizza you should make sure you come here.

The pizza was nice and tasty, but for the price the size wasn't large in comparison to other pizzerias. Our biggest issue was the wait time. We had an event to get to and were nearly late as it took at least 45mins to serve the food. They need to make people aware of this time as we would probably not have stayed had we known. Tasty pizza but wouldn't recommend when busy

Always the best pizza and the best people

The food here is absolutely delicious. We have been twice and tried both the deep dish and the normal pizzas, both of which are incredibly delicious. The choice is toppings is vast so you can lots of customisation to your pizza. The bruschetta is divine. The bread is crispy and the pesto is so perfectly salty. I really recommend getting the pesto dipping sauce for the pizza crusts. It’s some of the pesto I’ve had. The pizzas are cooked fresh and taste amazing and are a good price. The staff are so lovely and welcoming and create such a great atmosphere.

We visited on a Sunday evening before our booking to see a Beatles tribute band. Our table was booked for 6pm, the show started at 7:30pm, to spite it being a 5 minute walk away, they still nearly made us late! When we entered the restaurant, the waitress was stood near the entrance and she didn’t approach us. It appeared to be a site where you like arrangement, but as I noticed her looking at us, I asked her and she said “have you booked” so I said yes she said “good because if you hadn’t I would have had to turn you away.” The restaurant was over half empty the whole time we were in there, so I have no idea what she meant by that! The best way to describe the service all evening is “inattentive and cold”. First of all they forgot to bring my dad’s coffee. The pizzas, although the dough is homemade they are completely tasteless! This is certainly not the case in Napoli… they need to learn how to authentically bring out the flavour in traditional Italian pizzas, because theirs tastes like nothing. Prior to the food arriving we waited over 45 minutes from the point of ordering, it was shameful service! Not once did they make us aware of the horrifically long wait time, not did they come over and apologise. During this time my dad knocked over my daughter’s drink which went all over me.The waitress came and wiped down the table with a filthy rag, she was wiping the cutlery with this stained rag! We asked her for more cutlery, to spite me being soaked she didn’t bring me any napkins. I understand that it wasn’t their fault the drink was spilled but on a freezing February night where is your empathy with a customer getting drink spilt all over them??? The waitress kept on hiding in the back so if at any time you wanted to ask for anything you couldn’t. They didn’t bring the extra cutlery either and there was no apology for the ridiculous amount of time they had kept us waiting. This place leaves a lot to be desired.We certainly won’t be returning.

Loved the pizza dough and selection of ingredients. Affordable and often has different deals going on for both food and drings. Great location in city centre too, easy to access by car and on foot. Recommend to book especially on weekends as it gets busy and there could be a long wait.

Myself and my partner have a CHEAT meal every Saturday evening and on this particular evening we fancied pizza but somewhere VERY Italian and fresh! WOW WOW WOW it did not disappoint.. FRESH CLEAN COSEY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE FRIENDLY MOST IMPORTANTLY ….. THE FOOD JUST WOW. TICK TICK TICK !!!!!!! We cannot wait to go back :)

The best Neapolitan pizza I’ve had in the UK! Spotted this place a few months back and tried for the first time today with my husband and 2 kids. Absolutely fantastic pizza, great service and a friendly atmosphere. Wish we could have tried one of the dessert pizzas but we were too full. Will hopefully try that next time, we’ll be back!

Great place for great pizza! Had the Margherita and my partner had the vegetarian. Both were great! The tiramisu and gelato for dessert was the perfect finish! 10/10 would come again

The best pizzas and garlic bread ever! So so good we found this little spot for our pizza cravings. Amazing quality and fresh products and lovely atmosphere. It is great for couples or families and it has become a family fav of ours. The staff are lovely and try their best to add special touches where and when they can. It’s a great place for a treat or a pizza craving!

We had not booked a table, so had a bit of a wait for one to be free, (would recommend booking a table in advance as it is very popula). It was well worth the wait, the pizzas me and my daughter had were really good, my daughter is dairy and gluten intolerant, she said," it was the best one she has had". The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will be going back.

Slow service. 3 adults and 1 child - ordered a bruscetta and 2 pizzas, 2 chips and 3 drinks. Came to £60 for lunch! all our orders came out about 10mins apart. There's no child menu. Don't get me wrong, pizza is really good, but we left feeling we paid far too much for what we had and restaurant was empty so thought things could have been better.

Pizza was ok. Bit slim on toppings and quite pricey once you add a few extras. Service ok. Not big on smiles

Slightly misleading selling it as a deep dish, it’s more like a deep pan pizza. We had a side of fries which came in a small frying basket and weren’t offered any sauces. Customer service was poor! Not once were we approached and asked how it was going or if we needed anything. Would I go back again?…..probably not
