Lovely food and staff, wait was a bit long but worth it for the food

Good American theamed restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks located next to the petrol station. Our visit coinsided with the Burger Wednesdays promotion. A selection of burgers, including a vegetarian option for £7.95 including fries. Burgers were very nice, including my friend who had the vegetarian burger. We also took advantage of the free refills, soft drinks, and tea. Would recomemd

Our 1st time here, the lady told us about the car registration we had to type in on the screen. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good playing 50s style music. We both had coke and burgers and chips. I had the black and blue, which had blue cheese, onion ring and other things I can't remember what but it was really nice couldn't have eaten the double had the 6oz and that was big, my other half had the cheese and bacon burger. They both came with fries and salsa, everything was tasty and cooked fresh. I also had a warm Doughnut with banana , chocolate fudge and icecream, very nice. Will go again

I can't comment on the quality of the Food or Service as the Diner was unfortunately not open when I stopped. I did however have the displeasure of receiving a parking fine in the post - "To qualify for free parking at our diner, guests will need to sign their vehicle in on the tablet as they enter". Since the diner was not open, I could neither be a customer and nor could I register my vehicle for the whole 6 minutes I was in the car park. Smart parking will not recognise genuine appeals. Avoid.

Exactly what you would expect from a well run food establishment. Great food and excellent atmosphere. The on-site electric car chargers from Instavolt are reliable and fast, though expensive. The major criticism I would have is the 1 hour limit on parking time. This means you have to hurry your meal. You have to register your car as well. If you overstay the 1 hour parking limit, the signs in the car park state a £100 fine. That can make it a very expensive stopover just for a meal. The 1 hour parking is why I have rated service as one star.

Took a long time to be seated. Order was taken, but when nothing happened after half an hour I just left.

Food ok, a bit greasy for my liking. They did substitute certain food for something else. Music a little loud. Fantastic service from the waitresses.

Waited over 15 mins to be seated before giving up, it wasn't even busy. Be warned the carpark only has a 1hr parking period... There were multiple free booths which would have seated our party of 4, but after asking two different members of staff why we couldn't just sit down in one of these, we were unapologetically told that we had to wait until a party of 6 were seated that had been waiting longer. They didn't seem to care and the 10+ staff were mostly just loitering around not seemingly doing much at all. Last time we were caught short on a long journey and stopped here, the wait times for food were abysmally slow. This place is the opposite of American service.

The food was really good, service was ok...just seemed very slow. The car parking is for only an hour so felt stressed with the wait which made the experience stressful......

Ridiculous time to be seated in an half empty restaurant. Equally ridiculous time for food afer 3/4 of an hour nothing To make matters worse i believe that if you park for more than an hour you get fined, you have to sign your registration in as you arrive. I have eaten here betore and it was excellent things have changed

I came here with the Mrs and the 2 boys aged 3 and 10. We came here after a busy day at West Midlands Safari Park for the boys' birthday treat. I was very impressed with the food, nice big portions for us, and very fairly priced. I had the all the way hot dog, which, as you can see in the photo, was plenty to eat. The milkshakes were out of this world, and I highly recommend The toffee waffle shake if you have a sweet tooth. Also, the kids eat free was great for the little one 👍🏻 The young blonde waitress we had was very polite, courteous, and helpful. Couldn't have asked for better service. We had a slight issue with the bill but was sorted very quickly. It didn't spoil our visit there (mistakes happen). Would definitely recommend this place, we wanted to go somewhere different from the normal mcdonalds or kfc, and it did not disappoint.

We got seated and order taken. Drinks arrived then we had to wait an hour before the food was served. Very slow service and the food that should have arrived as a starter arrived after the dinner. Wouldn’t recommend my hot dog arrived and the roll was stale. No mustard in the mustard bottle. Coffee was cold food just about warm.

Portions could be bigger.... food was good though. V tasty.....they don't do the cherry pancakes anymore... rubbish! No coffee refills either, so changes aren't for the best.

This place is unreal it's a must for all the family

Called in for brunch and had the all day breakfast, bacon and eggs and fried potatoes. And pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, no complaints freshly made and tasted great. The staff tell you at the door to put vehicle details in the iPad due to parking cameras, which is good 👍

Wasn't proper American diner style food but the service and atmosphere were top notch. Really enjoyed the Americana throughout the diner.

Wonderful food, staff & service... I tipped high cause they deserved it.

After a long drive from Wales we decided that we would pop into the OK Diner for breakfast (been before ) we were looking forward to coffee and pancakes ......unfortunately we arrived before you were open realising we had a bit of a wait we looked on the map to see if there was somewhere else we could go,we were on your car park for exactly 11 minutes. Just received £100 fine in the post, absolutely disgusting. Don't think we will ever visit you again,and will tell friends and family about the shocking fine I can understand if we were stopped for 30 mins or longer but 11 mins

The burgers here are amazing and very filling, had the surf and turf , and black and blue. Milkshakes , lovely all in all a very enjoyable experience was he'd, highly recommend. It's a thumbs up from me 👍

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. The young lady that served us was very helpful and pleasant. We got there forty five minutes before it closed. There was no pressure to hurry up which is refreshing. Just a really nice experience all round. Thanks guys.

What a lovely little surprise this was. Last minute emergency stop at the side of the road....didn't expect much but had a genuinely lovely time. The staff were all really welcoming and sooo friendly. The food was freshly made and also really really tasty....I had the hash browns with black pudding and eggs. The eggs were perfect and everything tasted great. We were all super impressed and if ever around this place again would totally stop. First time and not last time. Well done everyone who worked there!

I really love a good burger and this wasn't good. The meat tasted as if it were frozen then fried. Chips tasted like oven chips. Service slow. Expensive considering the above.

It's been there years and I only went the first time recently. I took my american girl friend there too. She enjoyed it, but she said it was missing something, maybe coz the staff all had english accents and different mannerisms compared to american culture. That's not to say we didn't enjoy it. Was nice decor in there and the food was good. Will be going back there at some point.

Nice breakfast, I went on a sunday which could explain the lack of waiting staff. Nice atmosphere with American styling.

Bit of a wait to get seated. Waiting staff friendly. Bit of a wait for essentially a big cooked breakfast. Somewhat greasy and slightly burnt. 2 fried eggs, one runny the other solid. Expensive for what it was - it's not difficult to cook. Not somewhere I'd be rushing back too tbh. Since writing this review, I have now had a penalty parking notice for over staying in the car park - I was there for 1 hour and 4 minutes. Penalty £60 - £100!! If the meal wasn't worth it before, it definitely isn't worth it now by month of Sunday's, so watch your timing!!

Very enjoyable visit. Food all freshly prepared. I had small pancake stash with bananas and maple syrup. Was delicious. Nice coffee and very pleasant surroundings. Large menu plenty of choice. Staff very nice. Would recommend a visit.

My first time trying OK Diner we did not get there till 6pm so was quiet we was welcomed by friendly staff,we had our drinks ordered and quickly delivered, we then ordered our food we both went for Big BBQ Burgers single glad I didn't go for the double it arrived not to long and I can say it's one of the best tasting and filling burger with Mushroom, tomatoes, lettuce and onions best ive had for while and the french fries was great to fresh hot, crispy and tasty, I managed still yo have room after that burger and went for the tall stack pancakes with sryup and ice cream, you get 8 pancakes they where hot tasty and very fluffy very nice indeed really enjoyed everything, my overall experience was 10/10 will have to come back and try one of the breakfasts next, thank you to everyone who works there.

£100 to park your car there. Jokers! 🤣

Stumbled across this place accidentally and how pleased we were to, a fantastic menu we both plumped for the burgers with chips, fantastic even more so quashed down with a classic milkshake boy o boy what a treat, wad there room for a dessert you bet there was , a dounght with lemon curd a sprinkling of honeycomb with a blob of ice-cream on top , wow what a diner, we both loved it we are in Hereford for a week and will probably go again 😋

Stopped here today for a burger, a milkshake and an ice cream, very nice and I would go back.

Good food, fast service, clean and tidy

Like the coffee refills but a bit disappointed with the hot wings they were tasty but would have been nice to have had some accompaniments especially as they were exexpensive

Car park allowance is just 1 HOUR which is just not long to enjoy a meal. We also weren’t told about the need to book car in (hidden flat on a wall but we knew from others who’d been fined about it). We didn’t go at a peak time and it took 30 minutes to get our meals which left 30 minutes to eat, drink our drinks and get the bill paid. Felt rushed and uncomfortable for the whole meal worrying about a £100 fine (which others have got) . We had 5 minutes to spare but won’t be going back - only had a main but if we’d had a starter , main and dessert there just wouldn’t be time. Don’t need a £100 fine hanging over my head the whole time. Plenty of other places to eat who don’t put their customers under threat of a greedy parking company. Big thumbs down

The seating was under air con system vent, we were freezing by the time the food arrived.. We asked to be moved but no seats were offered.. The food got cold before we could eat it. I would not recomen

Wanted to have breakfast went in after setting car to charge, asked a question about unclear parking limit but couldn't get a clear answer, then rudely got told I was impatient for waiting to be seated. Just generally confrontational and unwelcoming

Excellent got you a drink straight away. Had to wait ages for them to take food order. Why not take it when they deliver your drinks?

Expected more for the price of it. The service was slow, noone smiled, food was standard.

Quirky restaurant full of American memorabilia. Large portion sizes of food at reasonable prices. Lots of choice on the menu. Large car park to front but you need to put your car reg in to the machine inside the diner to avoid being fined. Loud American music playing inside. Toilets are communal and not very clean. Tables filled up with lots of people towards the evening.

Went there to charge my car in May as there's 2 Instavolt chargers there. I've used it 4 or 5 times before May to charge my car, but this time they've decided to send me a parking fine for being there for 50 minutes. There's no signage to say about parking fines and if there is, they're well hidden. That was a very expensive milkshake Won't be using this again and i'd advise you not to as well.

SCAM COMPANY. YOU WILL BE CHARGED £100 TO PARK. We've been before here and food etc is cheapish. The biggest issue and the one why I will NEVER go again and actively tell everyone I know...is the car park. Stayed in their car park a hour and 5 mins and a month later received a £100 charge from the terrible "Smart Parking" goons. If there were signs that it wasn't free parking ( and why wouldn't it be...its a restaurant on a main road?) then they are not obvious. So my £50 of food suddenly means I cant eat this month. That a restaurant does this turns them from a place you would stop because you are starving to a place you shall avoid forever and hope that others do too. I went in this week to check their signage. The tablet to enter your registration is on the wall...its not pointed out,. there are no signs for it and the staff do not tell you about it. I asked and they said "we are getting signage" and "we are getting trained ". The company is basically evil or stupid...or perhaps both. Whatever you do...just stay away from these awful people and their nasty little scam.

Great food, great service and all in an authentic style US diner. Staff quickly found us a table and were attentive and polite.

I am agraid very poor food high prices staff more interested in chatting to each other we were going to Weatherspoons wish we had veggie breakfast not veggie cappuchino expensive and small Weatherpoons all you can drink half the price never again.

Drove from Hereford this evening to have dinner. Waited to be seated, got looked at by several different members of staff, ignored by ALL of them.. (not even a “Hi, be with you as soon as we can.”) ..until a lady came across and asked if we wanted a table for two. She made a big show of scanning through all the EMPTY tables and proceeded to tell us before being seated that there was a big wait for food…..in an almost empty establishment. We told her we’d eat elsewhere to which she replied “Is that ok? Thanks.” Absolutely unbelievably awful. I recommend NOBODY visit here.

Massive queue just to get seated. Hanging out the front door. Waited about 15 minutes and the queue only went down a little. Gave up in the end. Never tasted the food.

Slight wait to be seated but that is to be expected. Food was good quality 1x Mac the knife burger and an OK club sandwich. 1x root beer and 1x milkshake. Milkshakes are Fab. Staff are friendly and the service great. Would recommend. Shame there is only 9 in the country, but quality over quantity.

Got order wrong and change hunter chicken for cheap chicken in bread crumbs with mash dunno what world that would b Hunters chicken asked for plain burger no relish had burger with salad and mayo on with relish sat outside was maid to pay before order always pay after meal but was nt that bad food was given in cardboard boxes cold and when asked for money back was told company policy couldn't give money back bad enuf food was wrong to b treated like a criminal staff were rude and funny thing is menu changed and prices gone up in three weeks new Hunters chicken isn't Hunters chicken ?? Go to this place about every three weeks food isn't that bad usually but won't be going again social media wonderful place

Just visited this place. Waited over 5 min to be seated. The place was not busy at all. Couldn't be bothered to wait any longer. Couple that waited in front of me left too. Worst service I have never received.

A great little stop off mid journey. A nicely stylised American diner. Plenty of parking (you do have to register at the restaurant for the parking) lots of choice on the menu including drinks. Food was cooked fresh and the service was excellent. 4 stars for atmosphere purely because it is a service stop (diner itself has a 1950s vibe) Overall only 4 as ladies toilet was very clean.

Nice place to stop for a meal. Gluten free options available but no separate fryer but they do make it clear in the menu. I enjoyed the teriyaki chicken salad.

Nice place liked the rock and roll music. Good food, car park is a little small.

Ordered bacon bap.. came as bacon on toast!! Bits of fried egg on my bacon.. thankfully I’m not allergic to eggs!!!! Cutlery was dirty, dried food on it.. Considering the amount of staff working there of which there were 9.. I’d have thought the service could’ve been better.. I feel this OK diner is far from ok!!!

Average coffee, for which we had to queue. Beautiful Spring day, and had intended to have breakfast, but was advised I'd have to sit indoors if I wa ted to eat, despite the venue having picnic tables outside. Very odd

Great service as 15 of us all turned up together, very helpful dealing with some of the groups dietary requirements .Food and drinks served in good time.

To start off the coffee was cold had to be returned, then brought out wrong items so had to wait ages for it to come out yet again, toast wasn't buttered so asked for butter and few mins later comes over with just one little square pat 🫣🫤 The windows are filthy🤨 please get a window cleaner. Went to bathroom to find was disgusting 😯 definitely needs a good bleaching down, including walls even toilet seat wouldn't stay up. I was very disappointed it's gone down hill and won't be returning and staff quite miserable, they don't look happy 🙁 Please get the place cleaned up and happier staff

Would have liked to try this diner as it looked fun but unfortunately they only do takeaway at the discretion of the chef when not busy, but from the quick view I had 1/2 to 2/3 full on a Sunday afternoon isn't busy. The server who let me know this was quite dismissive and didn't even give me an option to change my mind and sit in before walking away. Missed opportunity for both of us I guess. May try again if I'm ever in the neighbourhood but wouldn't go out of my way to.

Like it says, it’s OK, just OK. The service was OK, the food wasn’t that great for any of us but it wasn’t bad, much too expensive for the quality served, over cooked and not much taste, not up to the standards of McDonalds which ain’t great but much better than what we were served. The toilet stank bad, I wouldn’t eat there again. To sum it up, tasteless overcooked expensive. Drive on by and find somewhere where you don’t feel robbed when you leave.

The OK Diner is more than OK, it was really good! Really attentive staff, a great '50s vibe, good food at reasonable prices. What's not to like? 😊 If you are in the area, it is most definitely worth popping in for a bite. We will certainly be heading down there again on a ride out😉
