Just an all round brilliant experience, great service, delicious food and nice ambience. Karrage fried chicken and the gyozas were stunning and the fire ramen was next level! Cocktails were well priced and went down a treat!

The minced meat cutlet was delicious. Highly recommended.

Always a great time whenever we come here. Lovely atmosphere and the owner is always friendly and helpful. Of course, the food is excellent. Seasonal menu so there's always something new to look forward to. The ramen bowls are always top-notch; the broth is flavourful and the noodles are perfectly firm. If you have a chance to get the karaage, do so. It's crispy outside and juicy inside. You won't regret it.

It's a very cute restaurant, intimate and small. The decoration is minimal but it's still a lovely vibe. The service was lovely, especially coming here alone - very welcoming. I ordered two different sushi and they were delicious and you get a lot for the price! Definitely will be back again!

I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time last Saturday afternoon. Food was outstanding, the waitress who looked after us made us feel welcome. Really enjoyed it and will certainly be heading back in the future. Highly recommend

I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing; the soft drinks are refreshing and the alcohol menu is really good too, some nice Japanese whiskey’s. The only downside is they get really busy on a weekend and can be hard to get a table so you have to be quick. But definitely worth the wait.

Absolutely delicious food - we ate ramen, sushi and gyoza and all were fresh and full of flavour. Drinks selection was also good - both soft and cocktails were great. The lady who was serving us was friendly and attentive. Have been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints.

Had my first introduction to Japanese food today and it did not dissapoint. The owner was knowledgeable and helped me find a dish to match my taste. The flavours were perfectly fused and I will be going back to enjoy this place again. Highly recommend.

Excellent ramen, with a vegetarian and vegan version available. Good sushi too. It does have seating upstairs. It would have been a little chilly but luckily we got the table with the blow heater pointed in our direction.

It could be better if the portion of ramen is bigger. ^________^

Best Hull city centre place to eat Japanese food.

An asian restaurant in Paragon Arcade. I love the Japanese and Korean fusion. I go there for my favourites - beef bulgogi, crispy chicken and soju. I also enjoy their ramen and salmon and avo sushi. The restaurant has a decent sized sitting area upstairs. I love the blend of favours, quick order to service time and affordability. However, while I absolutely love sitting outside for the comfort and view, it’s limited and you just have to dine upstairs if there’s someone else sat there. Also, the menu changes or they sell out quickly so I could go for a particular meal and end up getting what’s available. If you love Korean food? Oishii Ne has got you. Their food? 10/10. Order the grape soju and thank me later 👌🏾

Sichuan ramen was delicious. Real food. Noodles were my highlight 10/10 cooked to perfection and egg also 10/10. Would love to see them do a Tonkotsu ramen. Would definitely recommend.

Never had Raman before and was a little apprehensive when my son suggested it for lunch. We were only visiting Hull for a few days but what a find. The food was incredible, like nothing I’ve had before!

The service and atmosphere was amazing. The food was great. Visit regularly when I have an hour or so in town.

Had lunch here after wanting to for many months and was not disappointed. Gyoza and bulgogi were excellent. Karaage was out of this world! Server recommended swapping the spicy mayo to Korean sauce - yes! Do it! Great value, absolutely stuffed. See you soon 😘

What a find! A lovely and unique Japanese experience in a characterful yet unassuming location. A super friendly and helpful welcome was followed by a very accommodating ordering experience. The food that was delivered was fantastic. The Smokey Tonkotsu broth was creamy, rich and well balanced. The Chasu pork was beautifully scorched, tender and bursting with flavour. The fresh ramen noodles were perfectly firm to the bite and coated with the broth. The burnt leeks added a texture and bitterness that mixed with the soft yoke egg made this one of the best bowls of ramen I have ever had. Can’t wait to come back ❤️ 🍜

We love stopping here for a good bite to eat. We usually get the fried chicken with some extra dishes as sides.

I've been here multiple times, sometimes with family, and it's generally my go-to place for some good food and atmosphere. An enjoyable menu that I really can take as almost authentic from my trip to Japan, paired with good music taste (looking at the time they played MF Doom's most famous, which was a pleasant surprise) and some friendly opportunities to chat, I really would recommend this unique settlement compared to some others around Hull. I recommend taking the smoky Tonkotsu ramen, California rolls, and the Welch's white grape soda: they're an enjoyable mix, especially as you blend the taste with the music!

Awesome. Really good food, especially the Bulgogi Bowl, which was incredible. Really good service too.

The food here is deliciously authentic and there are clearly labelled vegan dishes on the menu. A cute little touch is that there was some origami paper and instructions for you to complete if wanted whilst waiting for food. The tonkotsu ramen is smoky and delicious, with the pork perfectly cooked, and I highly recommend the gyozas as well! The service is also amazing, 100% recommend :)

Ramen exceptional. The best ramen I've tasted in England. Paired with 3 delicious pork gyoza and a craft beer to wash it down. Friendly chefs. Great location. Please support local.

The experience at Oishii ne was entirely positive. The food was delicious, reminding me of all the food I've had in East Asia, very authentic! The service was courteous, chatty but still efficient. The location and atmosphere of the place is wonderful and I would fully recommend anybody in the area to come and try, what I seem to be, the best Japanese food in Hull!

Amazing food and a lovely little restaurant down the arcade. The staff were friendly and professional and helped me to decide what to eat - so many choices on their new menu! I'd go back for the karage chicken over and over, best fried chicken I've ever had. Will definitely be going back again.

Broth is watered down and lacks flavor Charsiu should get torched a bit more Noodles are serviceable but could be firmer Karage chicken was alright, but wish the staff could chopped it to bite size, and the batter feels not very authentic Broth is the soul of a ramen so they ruined it completely

I love Oishii so much! Always greeted with a friendly face and the staff are super attentive. The food is lovely - my favourite is definitely the spicy veg gyozas. They can make vegan sushi on request and it's quite customisable which I liked. Great tableware too, it's nice to use non-disposable chopsticks! PS I'm jealous of your soju dispensing frog...

Went for food today; first time me and my partner have ever had it definitely won’t be the last. Food was really nice! Never had a Raman bowl so didn’t know what to expect but it was so tasty. Would definitely recommend and the staff are really friendly :)

Ive been to Oishii a fair few times now and they never dissapoint, despite being a small team they always deliver the highest quality food and are always friendly every time ive been, im always excited when they bring a new menu out because i know how much effort and thought goes into it! This is a great spot for Korean/Japanese food. The Beef bulgogi here is so nice and good value for money.

Enjoyed a New Year’s Eve lunch here for our daughters birthday. The service was excellent and the food was delicious it brought back memories of our trip to Japan earlier in the year. This is definitely going to be our new go to place for lunch when we come into town.

Lovely little restaurant, the menu is very small and limited particularly if you were vegetarian but very good. The seating upstairs is nice and we especially liked the supplied origami paper and instructions and spent time before our food came and after making little paper cranes. The service was great, the staff very friendly and helpful. The ramen was my highlight, the sweet corn in it was really delicious. The gyoza and fried chicken were also very nice. My sister’s favourite was the chicken sushi.

Really nice. Had never tried any sort of Asian/Japanese sort of food, and was very pleased with the results. Went with Mom and dad. We ordered some sushi, chicken, and ramen. All of these dishes were super nice and I would recommend it if you've never tried this kinda food before- it's nice!

Passed this place whilst in town with my son for his birthday lunch. Must say the arcade has been transformed into a hub of independent food and drink places. We went upstairs as directed. Found a nice table and had a look at the menu of Japanese greatest hits. We ordered via Jo the owners mum. I think he was called David and was at a external event. We decided to try the shoyu ramen, karrage, beef poke and gyoza. Whilst not protocol I had wanted a coffee and Jo allowed me to purchase one from the other independent coffee shop further along. My son had a ice cold asahi beer. The food duly arrived and the ramen with the sliced pork was visually stunning almost like porchetta. Karrage was crisp but moist thing meat. Gyoza presented as they would be with dipping sauce. Taking some pictures before sampling. What I wasn't prepared for was the soy based broth, I don't like dashi so been able to have this sort of ramen was great. Presented with a egg the pork slices hid the ramen. Beautifully long noodles with a bit of bite. Slurping as you know is a must. The pork beautifully melted in your mouth. In between we shared the karrage well 70_30 to the lad. He was impressed with his poke bowl loving the edanmme beans. Visually a hue of reds and greens laden with goodness though he wished he could have had a fried egg on top. The dumplings I didn't get a look in the plate of 6 he said the skins were perfectly done not soggy or overdone. The pricing was excellent for the quality and deserves to be championed if this is the quality. Perhaps future options of dorayaki or moochi as a desert. Sushi of course is available but we were too full. And we wouldn't do it justice. Return visits ensue.

The chef at this joint really knows how to make a ramen, it’s probably the best there is. The pork was SO delicious, I almost wept. They’d sold out of some stuff which was frustrating but understandable considering the quality of everything. We also got a recommendation from the chef of a nice place in Leeds called Bento, which we tried, and it was awesome, but not a patch on this place. Well done.

Enjoyed the karaage fried chicken. Perfectly crisp. Sushi was avacado and salmon which was amazing. We also had korean style sushi, which tasted superb with the fresh ginger provided. My lovely wife did not like how spicy the wasabi was 😀 but I loved it

Amazing little restaurant tucked away just off the main path of Hull City Center. I have visited here a couple of times now and have left both times, full and satisfied. The menu changes occasionally which creates the mystery of, what will they have this visit? What will I try today? A short but sweet menu ensures that you don't have to think too hard, but you still have multiple choices. The drinks section is well catered, featuring the ability to tell the staff your go to beer, and they'll give you a Japanese/East Asian beer that they believe is best for you. The staff are lovely and down to Earth, making you feel relaxed and are very much open for a chat. The location isn't too out the way, but it is hidden at the same time. Which makes it all the morning enticing to visit.

Ramen was basic to say the least. Pork luke warm. No vegetables. 2 thin slices of pork, half an egg and noodles in broth for £12.

Took my son here today. We had the miso pork ramen and it was amazing. The eggs were perfect. The pork was cooked perfectly. The owner was friendly and fantastic. Highly recommend and definitely try the sake too!

A really surprising find tucked away in a tiny spot. The menu may be a little on the limited side and occasionally there is a bit of a wait but the overall food quality is very high. Well worth nipping by to grab a bite while roaming around Hull.

We visited Hull couple weeks ago. Went to this place for a quick lunch and it was a great experience. We greeted and served by a lovely lady. Food was decent and under-priced!! The atmosphere was very “homely” and warm. We will definitely return if we visit Hull in the future.

I've been here a few times, I love the relaxed atmosphere, nicely decorated, staff are really nice and friendly, and the food is amaizing, even a loyalty card! The spicy goyoza are addictive! Great selection of oriental/Asian drinks. I may add ...which is a wonderful little touch , that whilst your sat down there are some small paper pieces and a diagram (table near the stairs) on how to make an origami crane a bit of fun whilst waiting for your food!

Absolutely fantastic, I’ve never had authentic food and I wanted to try , I went in on a busy Saturday, was served within minutes, the staff were polite, the food was flavourful and a fantastic experience. I had the ramen and it was the best thing I have ever eaten. I will definitely be going again.

Amazing food!! Nice atmosphere. And brilliant service!! We tried the 2 variations of gyoza’ which were both simply delicious. My partner had the ramen which smelt amazing and tasted even better! I tried the beef rice bowl which again was delicious. What makes this small independent restaurant even better was that the price for the food and drinks were extremely good value. 100% give this little place a try!!! 10 out of 10 for us.

Me and my partner always love coming here. Not only is the food absolutely fantastic but the service, attitude and attentiveness of the staff reflect that perfectly as well. Wow! What a fantastic little restaurant. We dined here yesterday with my niece as a birthday treat. She loves all things Japanese and wasn't disappointed with the food. Me and my husband thought we might just have a drink or something to share but when we saw the menu we couldn't resist. We all had different dishes and it was all so well presented and so flavoursome. It's s little gem in Hull's centre with very friendly staff who give a warm welcome and are so helpful. Please give it a try and support this local small business. We want to see this one keep going for a long time 😊

My partner and I are regulars at Oishii. We have consistently returned to the restaurant since opening, either for lunch time surprises in town, or for the evening services Oishii provide (Omakase style). Safe to say, we have never been disappointed by food or service, Tom and the team are incredibly friendly and always take the time to talk with us. On this evening service, we were served miso and tofu soup, and huge tempura shrimp, and for the main it was pork belly miso ramen, with soy egg, lotus root and ground pork. Dessert was a Matcha cheesecake and everything we were served was exquisite, every morsel was flavourful and rich. In the past, their gyoza, karaage and adobo pork have blown us away with their flavours🤯 We cannot recommend these guys enough, from a small team making gyoza in their own kitchen to the flourishing restaurant it is today. We'll be with you all the way seeing exactly what you make next, and hopefully others join us for the journey✨

Me and my Gf have eaten here multiple times and we love it! The customer service is top notch and the food comes quickly too, if yah bloodehh starving get yah selfs in! I recommend to get the Ramen and a good Sake to go with it!!

I’ve always been into Japanese culture, let alone the food!! It was a struggle to find one in my area at first, only a handful and was a bit far from my place until I find this hidden gem in Paragon Arcade. The staff has always been brilliant with their service not to mention the food that never fail to satisfy our cravings!! The umami in that ramen is just too satisfying! Plus the karaage and the maki and gyoza just everything!! It’s definitely a place to visit especially in this chilly weather! See u again soon!

Such a lovely little hidden gem, me and the girls all got several dishes and drinks each to share around, everything was top notch and was really cheap considering how much we got. Had a really spontaneous Ladies meal with a few of us because we all fancied a sushi snack but the menu was so enticing and the staff were so helpful and friendly that we decided to have a full blown meal. Not only were we spoilt for choice on the food (and drinks / which we had a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic) the pricing was so affordable that we all had multiple dishes to share. The food was served incredibly quick and tasted even better than the menu gave it justice. 10/10 would recommend! Support your local small business and your expectations will surprise you !!
