Wow! This is a proper pub. Six cask pumps, covering a range of styles. Friendly service, great atmosphere. It's a bit off the beaten track but you must pay a visit. It's just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Hull.

Quite simply the best pub in Hull. Best selection of real ale and real cider in the city. Best atmosphere and food of any pub in Hull. Do yourself a favour and pay a visit.

Finally made it to The Ship. What a great little friendly pub. Excellent stouts on tap, the chocolate brownie one was lush. Wish I'd known about the Friday fish & chip meal thing (you need to order by Thursday) as it was ENORMOUS & smelled divine. They do big Sunday breakfast for a tenner, again pre-order required. Will definitely be back to this little local gem. Thanks for the hospitality :)

Love this place, leave home to go here. An old fashioned pub with a diversity of customers, old and new and different ages. So friendly and well run by Dean and Neil.

Excellent proper pub with a decent variety of beers , god price, the only downside was three older men’s language which was not acceptable ,but unfortunately that is the world that we live in .

A traditional type pub that's been there for years and is often overlooked. Beer was great, welcomed by the staff and regulars alike. Well worth a visit!!

Trying to get round every pub in Hull, the number of pubs I have given five stars to you could count on the fingers of one hand, this is one of them. Six cask conditioned real ales all in top form, and a selection of bottled belgian beers. A lovely cosy traditional pub with a nice beer garden. Breakfast served Sunday morning pre booked only and fish and chips on a Friday. Highly recommended.

Thought it would be more olde world instead there's a glaring fridge in the lounge if it could be classed as a lounge. If you like olde world pubs give this one a miss.

If you want a proper mans local pub then look no further. Good banter and lots of laughs with straight talking landlord and staff. Makes a fantastic changed from the arty farty wine bars that we seen to be overloaded with these days

Great place always fun and always something going on like darts themed days and nights etc management are brilliant and always chatty and welcoming love spending time in this place and so do my kids, there's a trampoline for the kids in the back yard. Edit as the previous staff and management aren't there, my comment is about previous management and not the people who have it now!

Food was very well presented and hot full of flavour. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Clean and spacious at the tables. We enjoyed our visit and was a recommendation by some friends.
