OK but expensive for what you get...

Lovely food friendly staff great service

Recently changed hands from the Brickmakers Arms to Asi Barbecue Restaurant. At a 30th anniversary meal for friends .Food was very good and quick service considering there were over thirty of us and extra diners in other areas of the restaurant .Would recommend a visit and sample the good food .

What a great place to eat! Very reasonably priced, tasty food and large portions. Best Kebab in Hull🤩 Honestly, I struggled to finish mine but I couldn’t. Fantastic location

4 of us for a meal on a Wednesday night, jaw dropping experience, the food was superb and priced accordingly beers and drinks not over price..the service was excellent. Couldn't find a fault if I tried, highly recommend going to this establishment. I know I'll be back again..Thanks for the experience..

I would really like to give this place a good review but they made it impossible. My friend surprised me by taking to a new place 'Asi' what used to be the 'Brickmakers Arms'. I hadn't passed there for a long time and was delighted to find it was a newly refurbished restaurant. When we came around 5pm it was deserted. 1st strike. My friend has an 'assistance dog', Cherry, which has legal access like a guide dog. When we went in the place it was nicely furnished with lots of smartly dressed staff. They politely informed us that we had to leave because of Cherry. A discussion ensued. 2nd Strike - I ordered drinks which they offered to take outside on the benches. No proper real ale and there was litter all over outside which was not great. 3rd Strike. During the discussion the female staff initially tried the boss and tried to find a solution, to their credit. Then when we were outside one of the male staff was very insulting to my friend. It was very unprofessional and someone who acts like that should not be front of house. The over all impression was an air of arrogance which can easily trigger into worse. I would have loved to have tried the food but my friend was too upset by then and wanted to leave, but not before reporting them. I cannot recommend this place. They did themselves no favours.

Visited Asi with my partner on a random Thursday night , the food was amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. Service from staff was outstanding. Will be back soon

Excellent service. Food was very tasty and portions were great. Fantastic proper charcoal grill. We had Marinated Chicken and Feta salad and Lamb Cheese burger. We got free starter of m8xed salad, dips and deliciius bread! We will be back.

Me and my boyfriend celebrated our 20th anniversary at Asi. From the minute we walked in we knew we had made the right decision. The atmosphere made me feel like I was on holiday and the staff were so friendly. Then there's the food. Absolutely Delicious and plenty of it. Thankyou Asi

I had a wonderful meal with family yesterday evening. The food was superb. The portions were large, the service was nothing short of remarkable. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Would I go back ... In a heartbeat. .... Would I recommend Asi. Oh Yes! I have been planning to try this place for ages. But my adopted family invited me to celebrate a landmark event with them and the venue was a surprise.... We all loved it!

They have parking space and that was a good start for me. This was an easy 5-star to give. The food was very delicious! The starters and the main dish including the meats were flavourful. Staff was polite and their prices were reasonable.

The ASI Restaurant and Bar, formerly known as the Brickmakers Arms, has transitioned from being primarily a pub to more of a restaurant setting. During our visit, we noticed the welcoming staff and the tempting food offerings, although we didn't have a chance to sample the menu or stay for an extended period, as our focus was on a pub crawl rather than a restaurant tour.

Absolutely beautiful food 100% authentic

Lovely restaurant were Brickmakers Arms used to be down Walton Street. Service was very good and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend and return. Had lamb and chicken shish combination. Delicious!

Thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, authentic Turkish food tonight and will definitely return with family. The service was informal and friendly and the restaurant spacious, clean and comfortable. There is also adequate parking at the rear. Would highly recommend.

Was our first time visiting Asi and was a all round relaxed experience our server Linda was very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I had a mix platter which is on the photo will definitely be going back.

Couldn’t fault this place been numerous of times and never fails to disappoint staff are lovely and food is even better very nice place and get left alone to enjoy your food unlike other restaurants around hull Would highly reccomend to anyone very reasonably priced too

What a fabulous restaurant, friendly welcome. The mezze platter starter was really delicious and the bread served with it was so good. Mains were all tasty and massive portions, our dogs were very pleased with the leftovers we took home. Exceptional value for money too. Will be going back again soon

6 friends ate here on Thursday we all throughly enjoyed everything about our meals. The waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I think on a weekend the atmosphere will be more lively but we had a lovely time

This is the second time we have been to Asi. They serve complimentary salad, bread and dips to begin with, in classic Turkish fashion. The food is absolutely delicious, we all ordered different meals and each one was outstanding. Cooked fresh on the BBQ with fantastic Turkish flavours. The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is large with a great ambience and was packed with other diners creating a lovely vibe. Highly recommend and definitely our new favourite place to eat!

Me and my cousin visited Así bar and BBQ restaurant tonight for the first time and absolutely loved it, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and decor is nice to and while you wait for your food you get a free salad with dips and bread, the food we ordered was cooked to perfection and very tasty, the portions are very good, I'm now looking forward to going back with my husband, would definitely recommend this place.

You don’t have to drive 4 hours to find one of these unique taste or fly 3 hrs… it is just in Hull and amazing. Delicious food amazing service with colourful atmosphere warm welcoming staff. Price wise it is not expensive and available most of the days. Their grill menu tasty…

If you haven’t been here you need to go, the food was outstanding, it was the 2nd best meal I’ve ever had, the food was simple yet full of flavour, 2 of us shared the cold platter, the warm platter and the mixed grill, it was enough for two, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, I have to agree with a previous review I read that it’s a hidden gem, don’t judge from the outside like I did, it ticked all the boxes.

Nice food cooked fresh on a charcoal grill. Staff are polite and friendly. Always leave feeling full and satisfied,and reasonably priced too. Highly recommended

Lovely authentic Turkish restaurant with carpark unlike most city restaurants as establishment used to be a pub near MKM Stadium. Recommend to anyone eho like myself loves Turkish food.

As barbecue restaurant is the old brick makers pub down Walton Street in Hull. Beautifull place to drink and eat. And you can see your food being cooked. I really do love this place. Believe me. Once you try it. You will be heading back for more great food.

Been to this restaurant 3 times and can't speak highly enough about it. Food is excellent, staff so friendly, it's so clean and it's great that you can watch your food been cooked. Absolutely love this place and tell everybody about it. Can't wait for next visit!!

Visited last night as a party of 4. Lovely decor, flower wall and fountain really nice and perfect for pics. We all ate different meals, served quickly and the starters where brilliant before the mains arrived. All members of the group fully enjoyed their meals. BBQ Grill was best ive ever tasted in Hull. Will be returning without a doubt.
