My Grandson, was 12 on the 22nd March 2025, he asked to go to Asi for a family meal, food was lovely and plenty of it ,staff very helpful and obliging, they even played Happy Birthday to him much to his embarrassment, but loved it really. Will be back

Absolute hidden gem. If you don't know about this place then get to know. We went following a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The food is superb and they clearly use quality ingredients. The service was friendly and efficient and to top it off the prices are really reasonable. Highly recommended

Top food had the combination shish grill. Reasonably priced. Really efficient service on a match day. Good beer right next to the stadium perfect for match day food and/or drink

Staff are so friendly, the chef made very nice grilled meats, well seasoned and cooked.

Outstanding Turkish BBQ! The food here is truly second to none – every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. While the service and atmosphere were good and made for a pleasant dining experience, the food is undoubtedly the real star of the show. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Turkish cuisine!

I have previously been to the restaurant which was a pleasant experience, this is why we came hear yesterday 15-12-2024 for a family meal which we do every Christmas where we go to different restaurants. I can honestly say it was horrendous, if you want to be in a night club and have to shout at one another just hear and you don’t want a conversation than ASI is the place for you. The volume went up as the night went on making it unbearable. Half the restaurant was taken over by not sure if it was the owners family and friends or just Turkish customers as it is obviously a Turkish restaurant (now night club) From us getting there to leaving lots of people was up dancing taking the full floor up making it hard for people to get to the bar. Their children was running around like it was a play ground too. We first thought it was entertainment an odd song but we was obviously wrong, we mentioned it to the waitress as we thought maybe it’s a wedding. But no she said and this was her words “ They (meaning the customers) every 4-6wks and take over the full place, I have told the children 3 times to stop running about also we have mentioned that maybe they should hire the place out as a function to them when they come or at least inform others customers that this will be happing. We was rushed with our starters to the fact that my sister-in-laws plate was whipped away the minute she took the last bit of food of the plate by a young waitress and to be told we need to hurry as the mains are ready which they wasn’t. We all got our meal at separate times to which one of us didn’t get there meal until nearly everyone else had half eaten theirs. Another meal the lamb burger was raw, also the sirloin steak was well over cooked and was asked for medium-rare it was well done. One of us had to choose 3 times for a meal as the first two chosen was unavailable. I am not a person to complain but this fully spoiled our family time together, this is a restaurant and other customers need to be shown respect and to be able to at least have a conversation. I wanted to put a video up for how loud it was and the lady sat with the dark hair kept getting knock by those dancing so she had to move to the end of the table. We are all up for entertainment as it makes the night more special however this was not entertainment put on by the restaurant it was customers taking over and making the restaurant theirs and turning it into a party or whatever it was. They had no respect for other customers in the restaurant and they was not once asked to take a brake from it or to be a bit more quite. The pictures are screen shots from the video they even moved the chairs from the table where the man is playing the drum.

We came here last night for a family meal from start to finish we couldn't have a conversation as the noise level was very loud, people screaming to the music and drums, yes it's great for an hour but all night, kids running about, one table the lady had to move her chair as they were bumping into her , you couldn't get to the bar, it was like a nightclub they rushed our meals and didn't have what we wanted the lamb burger was raw and the medium rare steak was well done. overall a bad experience will not be back. My 86 Yr old dad had to take his hearing aids out. It was upsetting to say the least. The 2 girls behind the bar was pleasant. We as a family will not be back no respect for other diners. Recently changed hands from the Brickmakers Arms to Asi Barbecue Restaurant. At a 30th anniversary meal for friends .Food was very good and quick service considering there were over thirty of us and extra diners in other areas of the restaurant .Would recommend a visit and sample the good food .

What a great place to eat! Very reasonably priced, tasty food and large portions. Best Kebab in Hull🤩 Honestly, I struggled to finish mine but I couldn’t. Fantastic location

4 of us for a meal on a Wednesday night, jaw dropping experience, the food was superb and priced accordingly beers and drinks not over price..the service was excellent. Couldn't find a fault if I tried, highly recommend going to this establishment. I know I'll be back again..Thanks for the experience..

I would really like to give this place a good review but they made it impossible. My friend surprised me by taking to a new place 'Asi' what used to be the 'Brickmakers Arms'. I hadn't passed there for a long time and was delighted to find it was a newly refurbished restaurant. When we came around 5pm it was deserted. 1st strike. My friend has an 'assistance dog', Cherry, which has legal access like a guide dog. When we went in the place it was nicely furnished with lots of smartly dressed staff. They politely informed us that we had to leave because of Cherry. A discussion ensued. 2nd Strike - I ordered drinks which they offered to take outside on the benches. No proper real ale and there was litter all over outside which was not great. 3rd Strike. During the discussion the female staff initially tried the boss and tried to find a solution, to their credit. Then when we were outside one of the male staff was very insulting to my friend. It was very unprofessional and someone who acts like that should not be front of house. The over all impression was an air of arrogance which can easily trigger into worse. I would have loved to have tried the food but my friend was too upset by then and wanted to leave, but not before reporting them. I cannot recommend this place. They did themselves no favours.

Visited Asi with my partner on a random Thursday night , the food was amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. Service from staff was outstanding. Will be back soon

Excellent service. Food was very tasty and portions were great. Fantastic proper charcoal grill. We had Marinated Chicken and Feta salad and Lamb Cheese burger. We got free starter of m8xed salad, dips and deliciius bread! We will be back.

I had a wonderful meal with family yesterday evening. The food was superb. The portions were large, the service was nothing short of remarkable. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Would I go back ... In a heartbeat. .... Would I recommend Asi. Oh Yes! I have been planning to try this place for ages. But my adopted family invited me to celebrate a landmark event with them and the venue was a surprise.... We all loved it!

They have parking space and that was a good start for me. This was an easy 5-star to give. The food was very delicious! The starters and the main dish including the meats were flavourful. Staff was polite and their prices were reasonable.

The ASI Restaurant and Bar, formerly known as the Brickmakers Arms, has transitioned from being primarily a pub to more of a restaurant setting. During our visit, we noticed the welcoming staff and the tempting food offerings, although we didn't have a chance to sample the menu or stay for an extended period, as our focus was on a pub crawl rather than a restaurant tour.

Lovely restaurant were Brickmakers Arms used to be down Walton Street. Service was very good and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend and return. Had lamb and chicken shish combination. Delicious!

Was our first time visiting Asi and was a all round relaxed experience our server Linda was very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing. I had a mix platter which is on the photo will definitely be going back.

What a fabulous restaurant, friendly welcome. The mezze platter starter was really delicious and the bread served with it was so good. Mains were all tasty and massive portions, our dogs were very pleased with the leftovers we took home. Exceptional value for money too. Will be going back again soon

6 friends ate here on Thursday we all throughly enjoyed everything about our meals. The waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I think on a weekend the atmosphere will be more lively but we had a lovely time

This is the second time we have been to Asi. They serve complimentary salad, bread and dips to begin with, in classic Turkish fashion. The food is absolutely delicious, we all ordered different meals and each one was outstanding. Cooked fresh on the BBQ with fantastic Turkish flavours. The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is large with a great ambience and was packed with other diners creating a lovely vibe. Highly recommend and definitely our new favourite place to eat!

Me and my cousin visited Así bar and BBQ restaurant tonight for the first time and absolutely loved it, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and decor is nice to and while you wait for your food you get a free salad with dips and bread, the food we ordered was cooked to perfection and very tasty, the portions are very good, I'm now looking forward to going back with my husband, would definitely recommend this place.

You don’t have to drive 4 hours to find one of these unique taste or fly 3 hrs… it is just in Hull and amazing. Delicious food amazing service with colourful atmosphere warm welcoming staff. Price wise it is not expensive and available most of the days. Their grill menu tasty…

If you haven’t been here you need to go, the food was outstanding, it was the 2nd best meal I’ve ever had, the food was simple yet full of flavour, 2 of us shared the cold platter, the warm platter and the mixed grill, it was enough for two, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, I have to agree with a previous review I read that it’s a hidden gem, don’t judge from the outside like I did, it ticked all the boxes.

As barbecue restaurant is the old brick makers pub down Walton Street in Hull. Beautifull place to drink and eat. And you can see your food being cooked. I really do love this place. Believe me. Once you try it. You will be heading back for more great food.
