Oh My Dog! Hot Dogs Southbank in Lambeth

Mixed feelings: The hotdog looked impressive and was nicely presented however the outside ‘skin’ of the hot dog was so tough it was disappointing. That said…the garlic bread fries were AMAZING and I would go back again just for them!

Stopped here for a quick snack on the way back to our hotel- what a treat- delicious, staff were lovely too

£9.35 per basic hot dog! You would expect a soft unsoggy bun, soft onions, nicely cooked and a good hot dog which does not have tough rubbery casing. At least this was how I imagined my hot dog would be. Instead the bun was soggy, the onions almost raw and the dog had tough skin. Very disappointing and very expensive.

Staff super friendly even when they got order wrong - rectified it immediately. Dogs were great - what's not to like? Pleasant lunch sat by side of river taking inthe sunshine :)

Avevamo visto questo chiosco di hot dogs nel precedente viaggio del 2018, ma per varie ragione non eravamo riusciti ad andarci, Quest'anno, la prima sera possibile lo abbiamo provato, ma purtroppo si è rivelato ben al di sotto degli hot dogs che avevamo visto....Per la qualità/quantità dei prodotti offerti non ne vale la pena.

Ce streed good réalise d’excellent hit dog ainsi que de très bon accompagnement (frite au bacon). Les plat en plus d’être beaux sont bon.

The food was awful. Chips way too salty to eat. If i had known they would put salt on I would have requested without. We didn't eat the chips/yum fries so it was a waste of money and food. Would not return. AVOID.

After placing an order for 7 hot dogs (£80) we were told by an employee in braces to “p*ss off”. We didn’t get our food, please refund us!

Truly dreadful. Nice looking stand on south bank, claimed to be award-winning, so my daughter and I decided to give it a try. Nearly £10 per hot dog (yes, you read that right - almost TEN POUNDS!) and they were terrible. The queue wasn't long but we had to wait over 10 minutes. Then when they came, they were stone cold (not slightly cold, but barely warm). The sausages were hard and unpleasant, and the staff had no idea how to smile. Rude, even when I tried to make conversation. And the onion wasn't fresh, but hard dry onion bits. Finally, the woman cutting the rolls wore a glove on only 1 hand, which she used to hold the knife. She held the roll in her bare hand. Avoid like the plague!

Stopped for hotdogs at the weekend. Really happy with the vegan hotdogs that were very tasty. It took extra time for our order as they didn’t have enough vegan dogs ready, the service around this was really good and they gave us free chips to make up for it. Reasonable value for London. Would stop there again.

The food here is delicious, it is mega expensive though. The hot dogs and the fries were so tasty, and the location on south bank is great. But the cost just makes for poor value for money!

If you ever hire this company for a corporate event, make sure you contract their prices for your clientele. I obviously have no idea what you would have to pay to have a prime position in the Winter wonder land at Hyde Park but my god, no higher charges can substantiate their “passed onto the customer” prices, 3 standard hot dogs, £ 24 ?? If I’d have then experienced the best hot dog I’ve ever had you could probably accept it. Truth is, my partner, my 6 year old son and nearly everyone around us consuming their food we’re all quite vocal about how awful their food was. It was cold, tasteless & tough to bite through, ( how is a hotdog ever hard to bite through?? ) Deal with then based on your own experience but if it was based on mine, wouldn’t touch them with a barge poll. The 1 star was based on the service as the two young individuals that served us were actually a pleasure to speak to, but so would I be if I was seeing how much profit over cost was flying through the place.

The vegan dog and classic dog with cheese was excellent. The fries with their secret sauce is a must.

Stopped for a bite after the 'Eye'. Tasty 'Yum' dog for two of us and 'Classic' dog, no mustard or onions, just tomato ketchup for the 10-year-old daughter. Typically child, a bit boring when it comes to food. Virtually impossible to eat these things without making a mess of your face and using a box of napkins but it was worth it. I'm still convinced that there's a way to speed up the ordering process as it took a while for the lovely OMD's to arrive added to as some foreign nationals just don't understand the 'British' concept of queuing, OMG! x

An ok place to stop for a quick meal when visiting the Eye or one of the other attractions along the South Bank. In its favour there is plenty of seating, shade and vegan or vegetarian options. The chips are quite good. The hot dogs are big but slathered in sauce requiring extensive use of paper napkins. OMD is under a railway bridge so it can get a bit noisy. Definitely not a gourmet experience and the prices are similar to adjacent establishments, so not cheap.
