Oh My Cod in Gravesham

Very over priced for what you get! Their idea of a large chips for £5 is laughable, more of the size of a small/mini chips. We should of read the reviews before ordering.

My cod roe had gone off and prawns in the "tasty trio". Rang to complain and got shouted at for 8 minutes. Impressive that the customer is worse than the food.

Found three stone in my chips tonight, spent £13.50 of money I thought would be well spent but obviously not, would not recommend at all

Great fish and chips but really expensive.

The overall service and atmosphere has never been bad for us. However, we can now no longer go here because they removed the two vegan options that they had. We now go to northleet chip shop who have lots of options. Such a shame as we were regulars with 4 children who loved stopping off at the chippy on the way home from the park.

We often get deliveries and their food is always very good 👍 lovely chips and fish cooked really well. Their southern fried chicken strips x5 is yummy 😋 my partner loves their spam fritters, just like at school

Fantastic food great service friendly staff

One of their delivery drivers (dark blue hatchback, maybe a Golf) very nearly ran me over as I was crossing The Droveway.

Used to use alot but food kept having lots of black hairs in it was bloody gross.never use again made us both feel ill not just one hair loads disgusting.av9id this takeaway it's bloody awful.

Absolute shambles Ordered from this place waited 1:30’min no food no update nothing I started to call the number and the guy who answers isn’t even working in the shop and doesn’t have a clue about what’s going on with your order just makes up telling you it’s coming when he isn’t even there told me I ordered COD when I didn’t and told me it’s on the way and didn’t arrive RUDE AND AWFULL AVOID

Twice I’ve been here and had to wait over half hour just for chips wasent even got avoid!

Ordered battered sausage chips and savaloy neither sausages were cooked properly batter was still very gooey savaloy was stone cold and chips are the same Takes over half hour to make simple things

We had our first takeaway from here on Sunday 3rd of December and we both agreed it was excellent. Cod, Sausage and chips arrived bang on the start of the 20 minute projected window and it was still piping hot. Lovely fish that was beautifully cooked in a very tasty batter. The sausages were spot on and the chips were crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside and plentiful. If like us you are settled in the warm but hungry, then this is the place to use. Well done ‘Oh My Cod’, Perfect…..

Waited over hour and half was told food was on its way then a child answers and says they are making it fresh theirs big delays I asked to speak to a adult and phone was put down on me and then left of the hook … if your happy to wait 3 hours for fish and chips this is your place ! And child labour at its finest !!!

Our order was very late, close to 2 hours (told 30mins), it was mostly wrong, some food was missing too. One of our guests had no food! We were lied to and no refund given, even after contacting them many times. Do not order food from here!!

If you pre order food it is not ready. If you like good food and service avoid. Now also seems to be operating as Pizza Heaven. Still recommend that you avoid!

Over priced and terrible quality products avoid going there. There is really nice food not to far in meopham just up the road I will never be using this place again orderd a chicken fillet burger for £6 and got a flat bit of batter

Worst fish battered sausage and chips ever.. I was warned not to go here by my farther.. I should of listened.. raw sausage in card bord batter, the chips were awful. Like cardboard.. Absolutely £40 in the bin

kebab was £10 and COLD so couldn't eat it. pitta bread was cold as well. small donor kebab are only £7.50 from a normal kebab shop price. burgers were child size and buns were stale. never getting food from Oh! My Cod! in Istead Rise, nr Gravesend, Kent again. horrible. 2 burgers, 1 chips, 1 kebab and coke = £35 woah not going there ever again. chips were ropey and tasted like they had been re-heated. all of them.

Fantastic food every time. I eat from there twice a week. The food is always freshly cooked and lovely and hot when it arrives. The staff and owners are extremely polite and friendly. If you haven't tried there yet you are missing out. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. The delivery drivers are very prompt and friendly. Amanda

Ordered tonight and asked for chicken shish well done it was just about cooked and luke warm. I see the cook back and forth to the microwave, genuinely believe it’s pre cooked and heated to order. The inside of the chicken had no colour what so ever. The chips were lovely and hot as I see them come out the fryer.

We ordered Cod and Chips and the food was great the fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were nice and crispy and soft in the middle. I stopped here as I was picking my son from the Meopham Train station but now have found a true Gem.

I placed an order and they didn’t put themselves as closed and waited till 11pm for this order I raised it the next day and they told they delivery company they had delivered it to me the next day as I rang up and asked them this is a lie I spoke with the manager and have the recording on the call where he admits it wasn’t delivered and the doorbell footage taking all of this to the bank as fraud !

OH MY COD! I have just had the worst burger (half pounder) ever! Admittedly, the onion rings weren’t bad but never again.

Usually a lovely fish and chip shop. However twice recently I've had lunchtime meals and the chips have been unpleasant, I suspect they are reheats, quite inedible.

Excellent quality very tasty, will definitely return. What i liked was how clean the place was.

Had a home delivery it was so greasy I couldn’t eat it will not be using again

The first guy I spoke to could barely understand English, it was almost comical the amount of guesses he took as to what drink I had asked for for my little boy. “A purple fruitshoot please” “Diet coke?” It took forever and an age for them to refry the already cooked chips, to the point that the other customer there decided to leave, go to the butchers, feed his dog and have a chat with my wife who was waiting patiently outside, complain to her about how pong it was taking, then return to still have to wait for a single portion of chips. When we finally got our order, the chips where ok, but they had been wrapped badly with not enough grease proof paper, so they had all stuck to the main paper, which meant half the chips resembled papier-mâché lego bricks. The fish was good Not going to hurry back though.

Food was inedible. Bit into the battered sausage and it literally poured oil out of it. The batter was soggy and disgusting and the sausage wasn't cooked. Had to just throw it away.

Worst food I have eaten from a chip shop. Plus they didn't have part of the order and sent something else with out checking first. Ordered through there website and ask for refund on the item and couldn't get refund on there site contact the shop and got told owner would ring back and never happened would give no stars but have to put one at least for review. Chips tasted like they where cooked in old oil and left sitting in the oil. Saveloy didn't taste right either the worst chip shop I have ever had. Steer clear and save your money

Used for the first time. Food delivered exactly on time and piping hot. All the food was of the highest quality. Highly recommended. Update. Sadly my next two experiences were awful. The fish was dry and delivered within 20 minutes so not sure how long in the hot cabinet. Certainly noy freshly fried

Delivery is always fast and hot. Portions are large and the skate is always delicious. Really like this place or should I say cod?

Last week I bought a potion of chips and they were lovely, nice and thick and well cooked. Tonight I bought cod strips and chips and it couldnt have been worse, hardly any cod and the chips were just scraps, and over cooked ones at that. What a let down :-(

Terrible service!!! Item missing from order, but replaced with a non suitable item. I called the shop direct and spoke to someone who didn't care, but agreed to send me something else at an extra cost. 90 mins later they still hadn't been back so i called the shop again to be told they weren't coming back and to ask just eat for a refund if i want. Absolutely appalling customer service.

Ordered for lunch on JustEat, rather pricey but the quality and portion size is excellent and delivery was rapid, only 30 mins from ordering to delivery 3+ miles away.

Not bad, still new in the trade, not really a traditional chippy, too many hands, not properly trained and badly organised, but getting better. please get a few expert handler and communicator, female servers do better job. too many amateurs behind the counter. It's okay for eat well, but I'm not going there again.

I wondered what an item on the menu was they gave me a sample. 1 order went wrong they forgot the sausage but 1 phone call and 10 mins later on my doorstep which I live in gravesend so not close but still they offered all new chips etc but I was okay waiting for the sausage . Fantastic guys and girls keep it up. :)))

Food ok but hygiene very poor. Chefs eating chicken wings behind the counter and touching cooked fish with their bare hands. Found two dark hairs in our chips. If there was ever a time for good hygiene it is now.

Excellent quality food will deffinatly return. Its such a nice change to find a welcoming place.

Absymal delivery service! Ordered some Fish and Chip for my dad's birthday on JustEat at 5pm for delivery for 6.30pm. They still hadn't delivered at 8.30pm. No apology when I spoke to them, no nothing. Fuming as they have messed up me trying to bring some normality to a couple of pensioners. Would have given them no stars if I could!

Lovely fish and chips cooked fresh. Would have given five stars if they had taken the skin off the fish. Not a lover of fried fish with the skin left on.

Turned off the m25 to avoid a long delay and came across this fish / chip ship, Wish it was local to me as best fish and chips have had for a long while, Keep up the good work !

Great chip shop food- when the correct food arrives, if it's wrong they don't answer the telephone to correct this. We have really tired to give them the benefit of the doubt here, but 5 out of the 6 orders something was missing Unfortunately delivery has let them down the most. They don't follow instructions on the doorstep (i.e, leave food on the doorstep and step back) and they don't wear masks. Will not be ordering again unfortunately.
