Best pizza we'd had in a while! Toppings were nice and crispy and it was full of flavour

Very bad experience. We have ordered extra large pizza and it was very bad in taste, there was nothing much except tomato sauce and tomatoes

Warning! Read the reviews before ordering...i didn't. Having ordered from Papa John's Dartford for years i've never been disappointed, what an opposite experience I've had now. Having moved to the area I've tried Dominos and no issues. I then found out there was a Papa John's. The delivery was so slow. The app saying it was delivered but, no pizza. After an extortionately long period we called to find out where it was. We were told it will only be another 6 minutes however, pointed out it had been out for delivery for 25 mins and will likely be cold. We were offered to have a fresh order if it was cold and of course it was when it arrived. Being so late we didn't bother as we had no idea when it might turn up. Now the Pizzas. Checked with a digital thermometer at 23 degrees c. 3 degrees warmer than the kitchen. The wheat free pizza they couldn't even be bothered to cut. Just a Frisbee with pepperoni on it. As a minimum a Pizza should be hot and cut surely. Then the tata tots. I can't say they were any worse but, they seemed to be shown the oven and thrown in a box. Obviously stone cold because of the agonising wait for them. So I couldn't tell if they were very undercooked or just sweated and went cold. My advice, the manager needs to go to the Dartford store or to Dominos to understand how to run the franchise. Go to Dominos, Gravesend East if you want your food hot and at a reasonable time.

Took a chance and ordered from papa johns as it’s reopened under new management! Food was lovely! Staff was friendly and helpful and delivery time was as expected! Will be ordering again as it’s back to its high standard on food and service! Thanks

Called up to ask how long the food would be as it said it had been sent out for delivery 45 minutes ago. Was told to “just wait till it gets to you” shocking customer service!!

Several issues with this order!: 1. We ordered on 11/10/23 on the app at 14:00. The app said our order had been delivered to us at 14:39 but it had not been. I rang restaurant to ask where our food was and the man said it would be another 5/6 minutes. The order arrived at 14:55. The app is clearly inaccurate. 2. The female delivery driver handed over our food and said how much she liked the houses on our estate, she then asked how much our house cost and how many bedrooms we have…what the heck?! 3. We ordered the extra hot meat feast pizza which should have hot sauce drizzled on top to make it hot, but it had no hot sauce on so was not hot… 4. I rang the Papa Johns restaurant again to complain there was no hot sauce on our hot pizza and the man on the phone said he’d check with his manager then ring me back. Guess what, he never called back! Really dissatisfied with our experience yesterday.

We ordered the pizza in advance (2 hours before) for delivery at 7:30pm, the pizza was more than half an hour late, and excuse given by the delivery driver was because we didn't put the house number on order. Funny that though, as the number was clearly printed on Pizza box itself and also the order, so that was a blatant lie. When I called the place to complain the lady who answered the phone was very nonchalant and unapologetic. I felt due to the very poor service/ excuse provided it ruined the enjoyment of the meal further (which was already stone cold due to being late!) I therefore do not recommend the place and will be taking the business elsewhere.

I was here on vacation for a month visiting family and I ordered from here twice because I had no time to cook, long story short they will forget your food, and you would have to call them to remind them to deliver your food. The second time I ordered they forgot my toppings. So overall just disappointed I guess.

If I could rate a 0 I would . Order came 2 hours late, which at 11pm I called saying where is my order and a worker proceeded to scream over the phone and tell me it’s been delivered, then another guy answered n told me it will be with me soon & he’ll give me a call back after calling delivery driver- he didn’t and it came an hour after this. I called in 3 times to speak to a manger following on - no manager in store/ they lied saying I would get a call back everytime and just ended on me. I then went into store where the manager still wasn’t present & spoke to her over the phone where she said ‘ I cant do anything - you accepted the pizza’ well of course I am going to when I’ve waited 2 hours for it. In store we got ignored by 4 members of staff who were on phones / laughing about . And not very fluent English language to understand me. This customer service is outrageous and I’ve never felt so disappointed

The best pizza I've ever had! The crust is crunchy on the exterior yet chewy on the inside, the sauce is tasty, and the cheese is ooey and melted. The toppings are fresh and well cooked, and the overall experience is incredibly delicious.

Absolutely ridiculous, not answering the phone a pizza takes more than 1 hour to be delivered, the staff is making excuses that they have problems with the system and did received the oder late when you check online it says its on its way to you but you wait like a dumb hoping will arrived warm for the kids to eat.

Ordered a pizza as I usually do....tracker shows it arrived...10 mins ago....called restaurant....they'll call the driver......30 mins later still no pizaa, shame as its usually good 7th April 23, again ordered a pizza, 1 hour later called as it hadn't arrived...guy said they'll make me a fresh one, 20 mins later a lukewarm pizza arrives! Last time I order from here, terrible service

papa john wont pay child support

I recently tried the vegan pizza at Papa John's Gravesend and was blown away by how delicious it was! As someone who follows a vegan diet, I'm always on the lookout for tasty plant-based options. The crust was perfectly crispy and had a great texture that held up well under the weight of the toppings. The tomato sauce was flavorful and had a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. But what really impressed me were the toppings - the restaurant used a variety of fresh veggies that were crisp, colorful and bursting with flavor. 2 hour delivery for pizza. Called multiple times to speak to a manager and was told the manager is too busy. Supervisor could not speak English well and kept stuttering "sorry" and that they would provide a "soft drink" for being 2 HOURS LATE. Worst customer service in Kent after multiple years of using this store. Will never use Papa Johns again.

I Ordered 2 large pizzas described as being 13.5 Inches in diameter. Instead I received 2 medium pizzas in Large pizza boxes. It's 20% less pizza than paid for. I tried calling no answer. Customer service no reply.

Has anyone been having issues with Papa John's Pizza (36 Perry Street, Gravesend) service. I ordered Papa John'a pizza for collection from the Perry Street and was told to collet in 20 - 25 minutes, I got to tgw Perry street store exactly 25mins and was told to wait another 20mins. I expressed my disappointment and advised they should have informed me how long and not make mw leave what i waa doing to come wait here. I waited and after 20 mins, pizza was still not ready. A lady who odentified as the Manager came and i told her how disappinted i was with the service and she told me i was unnecessarily expressing satisfaction because another fellow who was there waiting too was't complaining. I wwnt into my car to wait and after exactly an hour i returned into the store to be informed my pozza had been givennto another customer. My daughter made another order, and was told to wait 30 mins. Aftwr 30 mins she was told someone else picked up the pizza. After the 2 separate failed orders for collection, I then ordered the pizza only and oaid for it online, after about 50 minutes the tracker says pizza is with you, enjoy... but I hadn't received any pozza, I called up Papa John and was told to call the driver, who I neither know not have his contact. Called severally and no response, when someone eventually answered the phone I was told the pizza was on the way to me. Pizza ordered online at 21.16 still not delivered at 22.35hrs. Has anyone had similar experience because I am making a big complaint to the Papa John's because if they cannot deliver a service, they might as well close. I have had children. It had dinner this late because of this appalling service.

Phone conversations are always funny, It's weird because the lines good and clear. However I always seem to get the same person who can't understand what I'm saying. Tends to end one of two ways, She utters something incoherent before the phones disconnected, Or I get a random order. Ordering tends to be a Russian roulette, You ordered chicken?; Here's a rare fruit found in the depths of Mongolia. Idk, phone them if you want a laugh?

Usually my go to for pizza but the last 3-4 times I have ordered they always get the pizza wrong I get the BBQ chicken classic but with sweetcorn instead of onions and they have lately been ignoring it and shoving both on

I think I experienced some of the worst customer service here. Arrived to witness managers and staff shouting and arguing, paying no attention to order. Waited 15 mins, collected, nearly hit by the door as staff came flying out without checking, which was apparently amusing to two women working there. Got home, order wrong, called them and accused me of not saying ‘vegan’ clearly enough! I asked them to rectify, after some resistance was told I can collect. I said either refund or deliver. No apology from staff. Absolutely awful place and staff. Rude, unprofessional and no manners.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews but the difference between what I thought I ordered to what I received was unbelievable. First and foremost the pizza was acceptable although less than warm but once we microwaved it, it was nice, the same is to be said for the side order, however.. the cinnamon Rolls … if you want to pay £6 for lumps of tasteless dough … then by all means purchase these .. I barely had a drizzle of the icing and genuinely couldn’t taste any cinnamon. If my Dog was still alive she would of turned her nose up at these.. Sorry Lads .. but Mr Papa John would be angry and Embarrassed at the sorry attempt of his menu and I’m sure would consider taking away the franchise opportunity he has given you.

Part of my order was missing once it finally turned up, when I realised my order wasn’t all there I called the driver back over and he just looked at me got in the car and drive off! Even tho I called him a few times. Not happy with the service at all

This is the XXL Mexican, more crust than pizza. Replacement pizza was sent which took nearly another hour and in the mean time i got hungry and had a couple of slices. The store told the driver to return the pizza if i had eaten more than 2 slices. The store wanted me to return the whole pizza for what purpose is beyond me. The driver took the pizza back to the store as instructed and i was left with the remainder of disappointment not pizza. ruined the evening, thank you. Will no longer order from papa johns and will hop on the domino's bandwagon.

We have been very bad experience . The pizza was so bad not tasty at all.it was happened second time to us that's why we have to reviewed bad because we had guests at home it was very imbarecing to serve this kind of pizza to them . It was not roasted properly .

Ordered 2 pizzas, only 1 arrived. When we called the store (Gravesend) to rectify what should be a very simple issue, we were advised that no replacement pizza would be prepared or delivered as the only member of staff on duty was not authorized to do so. We asked for relevant contact details to take our issue further only to be told that there weren't any available. We then attempted to raise the issue on the main website only to find out that we may receive a response within 5 days, pretty poor service when we are talking about food that has been paid for from a franchise as big as Papa John's. We were firm fans of Papa John's but rest assured we will never buy from this company again.

Ok so order takeaway pizza at 18:43 and got my delivery at 20:32 pizza was cold and my wife hated it. During the waiting I phone twice. pizza cold and the large size is not that large very disappointed and after that at around 20h they realised they screwed up and send me a £5 pound voucher LoL never again Dominos or maybe start doing my own pizza

Never using again, ordered from them yesterday at 3pm, called them at 4pm to say my order is still not here even though i have a confirmation email. The guy i spoke to had no phone skills, he read me my correct order and just passed me to someone else who then said my order wasnt in the system. I told him that his colleague just read my order to me but he was adament that it wasnt on the system. No manager available to talk to. Never using papa johns again.

Papa John's is always my choice when it is time for Pizza. I keep going to store every week and ask for any deal. They have more deals but most of the time accept is buy one get one free deal which I feel is the best value deal.

Service was ok didn't have chicken poppers when I ordered online, Now for the pizzas, there were terrible, barley any toppings, not enough cheese, and they taste very hard as well, your better off going to aldi and buying a frozen pizza, no.joke, slap dash. ORDER HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK For me t began with firstly, being over charged on my order (voucher not applied because of app purchase) after being over charged I called the Gravesend branch and asked why this was, I was told this happens quite often and I will be refunded, I asked for a confirmation email and told they can’t do it, as a result I asked to speak to the manager as I would have preferred to cancel the order and re- order at no extra cost to me, after keeping me on hold for over 15 mins with no answer I gave up and called back only to be told the manager has been out in delivers, so I asked why put me through to them after giving up with these total and utter clowns, I just waited for my food. Upon arrival I discover they got my order wrong should I have expected anything else from this clown show.

I have ordered my food 1 hour 35 mins ago and have tried ringing 12 times ... no answer all I ordered was a solo deal and it still hasn’t come. Not happy and want a refund!

I always love PPJ. They do lots of offers. What I most like their pizzas is Tandoori Pizza, one of the tasty pizza only available in Papa Johns.

Had a delivery tonight 27th Sept & was very disappointed with the wedges. Seems like they were just heated in a microwave, very soggy no crispness whatsoever. Tried to crisp them up under the grill for 10mins, didn't make much of a difference. Had two lots but threw at least a third away.

Worst place I’ve ever ordered from. I ordered the food around 1pm I received the food at 2.45pm. Food was stone cold, bland and Boring. The only the good about this delivery was the the delivery driver saying “sorry”.

Ordered online this evening. Whilst the delivery was very quick, the pizza was very poor in quality. The pizza base was very soggy and greasy, so much so that you couldn't hold a slice properly and even when you could half the toppings would slide off causing a big mess. A nice evening treat was turned into a greasy mess, which left us wondering if we'll ever order again and left us feeling queasy

Was told 15 to 20 minutes for 3 pizza but waited 35 for us to collect them so we waited 15 extra minutes for our pizzas
