Oh My Cod in East Riding of Yorkshire

The owner is my mum's neighbour and we thought we would give it a go. Welll all I can say is I'm glad we did it was worth every penny. Fish was beautiful light crispy batter and meat of the fish was lovely and white and thick and the chips were great to, nothing greasy and we enjoyed every mouth full. Would defo recommend this place and its dog friendly to.

Not a nice experience chewy cod poor portion of scraggy chips. Staff have no social skills whatsoever and roll their eyes if asked todo anything like bring extra sauces. The sniggering between themselves as you approach is not nice so personally would avoid as there plenty of other choice.

We walked in the restaurant and weren’t even acknowledged, no menu to look at on the table. We went up to the counter and was served by a very young girl, we sat down on these horrible leather sofas, the table didn’t have any condiments on, we moved table to the one next to us that still had plates on and hadn’t been wiped. We asked them to wipe it and they gave us a bit of blue paper with no spray to wipe it with. We ordered a few cups of tea, one of them didn’t come with a spoon, the cup was disgusting like it hadnt been washed since the previous customer, the teapot also dirty. We waited a long time until food came, in a hot and stuffy environment. The place is run by children, no older staff around and no one with any management skills. When the food came we weren’t given any cutlery, we asked for this and the girl was very rude she said ‘ye one minute’ expecting us to wait while our food went cold. Which was not happening, when we said something she gave a very rude look, no customer service skills at all. The windows covered in bird poo, the place needs a total revamp and new management. The toilet, let’s not even go there, absolutely vile. The place needs reporting to environmental health. Food is half decent, but I’m hindsight we would of read the reviews 100%. Would not eat here ever again, would rather starve.

Absolutely disgusting, the restaurant feels filthy we since found out it has a hygiene rating of 1. The food was swimming in grease, we found what looked like a pubic hair on the plate, the older staff sit outside smoking whilst the youngsters try to look busy. Definitely would not recommend, it was expensive and inedible.

Sat down to look at the menu, no one even acknowledged us and when we saw how dirty the place was we left to go elsewhere. Just saw it also had a 1 star hygiene rating too so I’m glad we didn’t stay.

Decided to eat at this restaurant on Saturday. Went to the till to order, the order is hand written on Post it notes. Drinks on a separate note. A few minutes later a girl aged about 15 came in to start her shift. I was being served by a girl aged about 15. They proceeded to have a discussion about how tired they were and what times they got up all while I was waiting to pay! In the end I told them they were not being professional and asked them to get on with the job they are being paid to do. Drinks arrived at the table and were slammed down. Food was pleasantly nice and fresh. They need an adult to be supervising kids because they are the face of the business which does not give a good impression.

Went with my Daughter for sausage and chips for lunch. The best chips I have had from a fish and chip shop ever!! They were like home made chips. Fantastic place.
