We just wanted something quick and convenient and were delighted by the quality of the curried chick pea and veg pasty. We are quite particular healthy eaters who can, though, be relaxed about such things when the need arises. But these were moist, delicious, veg filled, wholemeal pastry and ticked a lot of boxes. Washed down with a big cup of tea. The puds also looked good, especially the almond cake, but we managed to resist because the pasties were spot on.

Stopped off during our hike before heading up to the top of Tryfan. Don’t expect your array of Starbucks coffees but its perfect for a little snack and refreshment. Latte was lovely and the array of pastry’s puts Greggs to shame. Lamb and mint pastry, just trust me on this one! Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable. Seating comprises of benches outside, toilets next door and a little taste of history next to the cafe about mountaineers! Perfect stop to start, continue or end your walk. Simple yet effective.

Reading other reviews, I think people need to remember that it is just a shack, not a café. That said, the cakes and sausage rolls/pasties are excellent. It is a welcome oasis after a day in the mountains.

We only bought four coffees but none of us could drink it all because it was so weak and tasteless. They need to improve this urgently.

If you are really hungry then you can certainly get something to eat here but if you are whole food / plant based fan then bring your own. Friendly staff but only average UK food.

A massive thankyou for your kindness when I broke down near you on the 23 Feb. I had no phone signal and stuck just after a tight bend, you definitely helped me out of a sticky situation. The sausage rolls, cakes and tea you sell also excellent while we waited the long 5 hours for RAC to attend.

The woman here was so kind this week. I asked about walks around lakes that were gentle, with a challenging option that my friend could do. She pointed out a lovely lake walk at Llanberis which I did whilst he went up Snowdon, and one at Criccich / Trewfig? which we didn’t get the chance to do. Next time. She even got the map out. So helpful, and a lovely jam flapjack too. Thank you!

Good quality snacks. Like everywhere it's become very commercial. In the good days a Primus heated Westlers Ham burgers, under a corrugated roofed shack. When climbers were climbers. But the present snack bar is very good.

We tried to go here for breakfast (we stayed at the YHA next door) but it didn't open til 9 which was much to late for doing a walk afterwards. We did stop when we came down from our trip and had a nice cup of tea. Prices are not cheap but it is a captive market and the range was disappointing. We were hoping to get a light lunch but the only options were cakes or pasties/sausage rolls. I know facilities are limited but at this time of year the area was packed so a wider offering would have generated more profit. There is outdoor seating (no indoor seating) and a car park nearby.

Our Tour company spends a lot of time in the Ogwen Valley and every time we arrive with our groups of international passengers and tourists they grab a drink and a snack at the Ogwen Snack Bar. The Staff are so lovely and helpful and make us and our passengers feel so special. Good cuppa too, maybe try the home made cakes. Mmmmmm yum 🤪 love you guys.

A very pleasant place to stop off and enjoy a chat, food and drink. Have been here quite a few times as it's a favourite.

Before this centre was built there was a burger van which was a real treat when you came off the hill. Now this is all that is here which serves a few pies/pastries in a hot cabinet, cakes and brews with no cafe like seating area. What should be here is a full on cafe serving proper food for those arriving throughout the day and enjoying the mountains around. This could be placed in the large room currently housing the visitors bit (relief of the area around). This is huge wasted potential and would turn this into a well used place, generating good income which in turn would be able to be invested back into facilities and the park itself.

I suspect this has been built recently (within the last year or two) as beforehand there was only a small café, which occasionally was not open. The tourist centre has now been expanded and this snack bar makes a great addition. Serving hot and cold sandwiches and pastries, chocolate bars, bakery desserts, ice-creams and much more, this is a well rewarding trip after your long walk up the mountains of Snowdonia. The only thing I would add to this place is a larger seating area outside, perhaps even with a BBQ section in the summer months.

You need a decent coffee at the end of any walk and this is perfectly situated. Not a great selection, but you can get a coffee and a sausage roll with decent service, and you can now go into the room next door to eat it in the dry!

The Ogwen Snack Bar is small, but extremely well situated between Llyn Ogwen and Llyn Idwal in beautiful Snowdonia. Take-away only, but stunning views. The fare is simple but very good and reasonably priced, the tea is good and a bit of a life-saver after a long hike. The cakes are great too! I called in twice in three days. Best when Alex is working there, (otherwise watch for the place closing a bit early): she is very friendly and efficient, in fact she is my candidate for North Wales tourism worker of the year! [I live in North Wales, work in a related industry, and travel around the area a lot]. Keep doing what you do Alex!

We stopped here for lunch and sat outside looking over the harbour with a great view of the bridge. The service was very good and the staff welcoming and friendly. We soon had our lunch which were freshly made sandwiches with salad and crisps. Delicious! Glad to have eaten here and enjoy the lovely views!.
