When you want a pasty that is gluten free you are prepared to travel for it! Having researched the options I decided that Oggies was probably the best bet - other providers seem to offer an online shop, but I wanted to actually go and buy just the one. Mixed review; I was a little disappointed in that the pastry was thin and hard but the filling was generous and tasty. I was asked if I wanted the side salad which is quite unusual with a pasty but decided to go for it; I was not asked about the balsamic vinegar that was splashed over it! I had already chosen to take away some sausage rolls with me and have to say that they really outshone the pasty and I would gladly go back for more of those again and again. Sorry, doesn't quite rate four stars after making a special trip.

Initially called in to make a pasty purchase. On buying two Giant and one medium pasties, we decided to stop for a coffee. The very pleasant lady behind the counter served us well, and made sure our pasties remained hot whilst we were enjoying our coffee in the shop. A decaff latte and decaff cappuccino were both thoroughly enjoyed, as was the relaxing ambiance of the venue, with some relaxing music playing in the background. We consumed the pasties over looking Carrack Roads and the Dockyard - a favourite place - Wonderful! PS. The pasties were delicious and well filled - absolutely no complaints!

I have visited this lovely cafe a few times and I have always enjoyed the delicious pasties, great coffee and chilled out vibe. I visited last week and as usual the food was lovely, the coffee was great and the man serving me was friendly. However I couldn’t help but to notice the manner in which the Irish lady, who I assume to be the shift supervisor was speaking to the staff. She was condescending and rude. I had planned to eat in but this made me feel uncomfortable so I decided to take away instead. Food was great as usual!

In a small town, wall to wall with "the original" "the oldest" "the best" Cornish pasties, plastered on numerous shop windows.... we plumped for this one. Absolutely dreadful tasteless food with preposterous prices, I've genuinely had better from Lidl. Disgusting, made from the cheapest ingredients and best avoided.

Went today, requested two pasties, sausage roll a latte and a hit chocolate. Young lady serving put the food in takeaway bags, even though I repeated that we were eating in. We sat at the table eating out food out of bags. Not a napkin in sight. I thought at the time, I've paid £2 extra per item just to sit at a table. Another family arrived asked to eat in and they were served by a chap. He asked them if they wanted salad with their pasties before bringing them over to their table on a plate. When we finished, I approached the lady g behind the counter and asked why we had been served in paper bags. She claimed they were busy (there was 1 person behind us) then she said she only charged us takeaway price. That was a LIE. I added it up and I paid full eat in price. It's a shame, I've been visiting for over 20 years and will no longer go back.

The pasty was decent but not the best I have had in Falmouth, lacked a bit in steak. I also had to wait quite a bit to put my order in while at the front of the counter. Staff can be the make or break for a business, but despite attentive service, our order failed to be fulfilled without a reminder(we were waiting for a pot of tea). Staff seemed more interested in their mobile phones. An array of different Cornish pasties was there to greet us, and they certainly didn't disappoint, although the price tags were a bit hefty, they were quite substantial, so satisfied our hunger after a 4 hour journey from Wales. Our daughter fancied a Cornish Cream tea which was on the menu, unfortunately they didn't have any, but the lady did check out the back for us.I would try this place again, maybe for a takeaway pasty, since they seem to be more geared-up for that side of the service. My suggestions for improving the table service here would be to make out a ticket, so the staff don't forget what's been ordered, offer to give the drinks after the meal, ask if everything was ok with the meal, and ask if anything additional was required.Service with a smile would also be the icing on the cake and a thank you as you left the establishment. At busy times, it would be like a balancing act, but this is one of the reasons why people come to Cornwall, and they want the full experience:)

My wife and I ordered a Pastie, a sausage roll and two decaff coffees. Nothing different to what we have in many locations on our travels for a late lunch past 2pm. All ok to that point. However, on paying the bill, it was £13.90! I questioned why so much as it should have been £6.00 for the food so £7.90 for 2 small coffees! I was told that a decaff has a 60p surcharge and was shown very very small writing on a board explaining the charge. I was astounded as we were not shown the board nor told verbally that the extra applied. Even so, £1.20 does not cover the huge difference. I asked for the bill and she made several attempts to get it right. In the end she hand totaled and refunded £2.30. Apparently, their till was adding £1.75 per decaff instead of 60p. So we paid £11.70 in the end which made the coffees £2.85 each. Recommend you stroll a little further down the street as there are many more establishments offering similar fare.

Bisher die schlechteste Pasty in Cornwall. Sie war nur lauwarm, vom Käse war nichts zu sehen, alles in allem sehr geschmacklos. Service nett, Einrichtung rudimentär. Braucht man nicht.

first of all went getting home which is nearly 30 miles away I notice the pasties were to small as if they were cocktail size they were mean to be medium steak and that was what I was charge for just average pasties to if you want good pasties from cornwall head west to hayle or even most butchers in camboure or reddurth severe good pasties to many fillings just stick to getting the Cornish pasties right I hope you yake this report the right way and only improve

You will be spoilt for choice whether purchasing a 'take out' or eating in at The Pasty Shack. The traditional steak or cheese and onion are delicious as are the bacon and cheese , chicken and onion and lamb and mint . The extremely helpful staff made up sandwiches for two of our party even tho we had called in near closing time. The Pasty shack also offers jacket potatoes and [ to the delight of one of our party ] fish finger butties ! The restaurant is quite small but everything here is clean and well presented . We will definitely return ..if only to try the other tempting pasty varieties.

We had a traditional pasty and a pot of tea each for lunch....... tea was good the pasty was OK....... but we did not think they were up to the usual standard.... also a bit miffed ......I had a medium traditional and tea ...my wife a small traditional and tea...... on paying we discovered there was a deal on the medium and tea and it was cheaper than my wife's meal....... thought the staff may have mentioned this when we ordered!

First time purchase of a traditional steak pasty from Oggys. I started eating it from one side and was really pleased that it was all meat, my wife did the same but only found potato & turnip, she was disappointed but continued eating. It was only when we'd eaten half that we realised how the pie was made.... meat in one half and the potato & turnip on the other!

A lovely range of pasty's served by really friendly and helpful staff. Great that they have a sign warning people on mobile phones that they will be ignored until they finish their conversations!!

Delicious. Couldn't fault any of them. Particularly recommend the sausage pasty. The beef & stilton was also great. Although a brand, the pasties tasted authentic and home cooked.

Chose them for my traditional Cornish pasty - I certainly wasn't disappointed, plenty of filling and lovely light pastry. Give them a go!
