Offley Arms in Newcastle-under-Lyme

My wife and I had to pleasure to visit on Thursday 28th we both had an excellent meal I had the cajun chicken and my wife had the salmon they were perfect excellent presentation and flavor so pleased we diverted our journey to call in again well done 🥰. Only one small negative was there was a staff member working the bar who was not very nice at all she was rude and not very welcoming at all such a shame as all of the staff ( with the exemption off 1) were amazing friendly such a shame that 1 scruffy rude person almost spoilt the experience. Happy New year all we will call again

The best thing about The Offley isn’t that it’s a gorgeous welcoming Joules pub in a lovely location, or the delicious food…it’s the staff. Took my mum who has a small appetite and can only eat soft foods for Sunday lunch. They accommodated her requests and served a lovely small lunch which she throughly enjoyed, thank you for making her day 😊

What can I say, another absolutely amazing function. We had another baby shower here today for my daughter and they didn't disappoint. Nikki and Lois were so professional with the planning and room dressing and the staff were amazing, and thank you to chef Justin for another beautiful spread. We will always book here for our family functions. Thank you 😊 xx

Called here on the way back after a day out. Yet again another fantastic meal in a Crackin pub. The burgers are amazing and regularly change the gourmet burger menu. I opted for the beef and oink, a juicy burger patty with BBQ belly pork and “ proper chips” and the side of Stilton sauce finished it off. My wife loves the chicken cesar salad and says it’s the best she’s had, quite offended tbh seen as I’m a chef by trade myself but it’s Justins food so I’ll let him off lol. Thanks again Chef and all the team at the offely arms for another enjoyable visit.

We were very impressed by the quality of the food and service. It was a relatively warm evening so we wanted to eat outside in the garden area. We were not at all happy to see the people at the next table to us allow their dog to sit on the table for the whole of their stay. Another couple let their dog roam around the garden area so that at one point it had pushed between us and ended up under our table while we were eating. This would put us off coming to the Offley Arms again. The staff cannot be responsible for thoughtless behaviour of some of their clients but there were no signs that we saw outlining any rules regarding dogs. It is not hygienic to have a dog sitting on a table that other people are then going to eat off. There were signs about not allowing children to play on the garden - also ignored by one family. Not everyone likes dogs and we think staff should be empowered to ask dog owners to behave responsibly and considerately to other customers - dogs should remain on the ground and at the table with their owners not roaming about.

We booked The Offley Arms for our son’s birthday get together after attending a party there earlier in the year. The team were fantastic and the buffet was just amazing, all our guests (around 35) commented on how good the food was and what a lovely pub too. I’d worried I’d not catered for enough people and staff reassured me I had, they were not wrong, the food just kept coming!

Called in for an early evening drink and spotted the Artisan platter on the bar menu board. Ordered one between us and it was absolutely delicious ! Very generous portions of cheese, chorizo, ham, fruits, nuts & crackers , etc and very reasonably priced too. We will definitely choose this again when we’re next in ! Cath

This place is getting a great reputation for it's food and i can see why. Been several times for the Sunday roast and its outstanding. A small dinner with extra meat is just the perfect size.

Stunning food yet again, called in again as was in the area, food was amazing yet again as was the service. This has definitely become our favourite pub to eat aswell as drink lol. The portions are more than enough and all cooked fresh, non of that ping cookery in this place that’s for sure. Compliments once again to chef Justin and the fabulous staff that run this hidden gem.

Called in here on Father’s Day weekend. Never been before and we were very impressed. The pub itself is a lot bigger than you think with plenty of dining areas and is nicely fitted out and very clean. Service was prompt and the staff are great. The food was delicious and most importantly cooked fresh on site. I had the burger with a Stilton sauce and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. I’ve known Justin (chef) for a while now and I know his food never disappoints so have been meaning call in for a while now since I knew he was here. To finish off I just had to have the sticky toffee pudding which is my favourite dessert ever lol it was nice and light with a banging toffee sauce and ice cream. We will definitely be back and this time hopefully catch up with justin as he was slightly busy today. Thank you everyone and thank you Justin for some great food as always.

I came here for my Birthday/ Early fathers Day celebrations, could not fault the Sunday roast was lovely; all the puddings apart from mine were fantastic; the Creme brulee let things down, the top was not crunchy, and the consistency just ran off the spoon and was not set.

Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here using the function room. The landlady (Nicky) and all staff went absolutely above and beyond to listen to what we wanted. We had a fabulous lunch today, it was our first visit but won’t be the last. The young waitress with the blonde hair, was so friendly and efficient, just wanted to say she is a credit to your staff. The food was hot, tasty and the small roast was by no means small, excellent value for money. The tripadvisor reviews were the reason we chose here and so glad we did, my mum really enjoyed her birthday treat.

We had a lovely Sunday Roast at the Offley with our family. Sat in the main restaurant area, Service was spot on with very attentive staff. Great portion sizes! Lamb & beef dinners all delicious followed by a few desserts, again all really enjoyed. Great place for family and friends, I know they have just revamped the menu, the new meal selections look really good.

Looking at the trip advisor reviews we decided to come for our anniversary 6th year anniversary lunch, lots of expectations after reading the reviews. On arrival it was empty but the lady serving was nice and friendly. Lovely menu. The meal came and my steak was well over cooked but I’m not that person to complain. The bill was nearly £80. Crazy. Food average. Place ok. Service good. Would I visit again?? Sadly no.

Lovely meal on the reduced pensioners menu. The food was amazing value, tasty and a very adequate portion. Staff were friendly and attentive. All our party were very happy with their meals. Living locally will definitely return again. Highly recommend you try it.
