Offham Farm Shop in Lewes

Brilliant farm shop full of local produce and on-site butcher. Lovely sandwiches (the bacon is incredible) and fresh salad but very disappointed with the accompanying hot drinks. Hot chocolate bitter and undrinkable (even with extra sugar) and average tea and coffee which really let the otherwise good experience down.

Good little spot to grab a snack. Popped in to grab some lunch during lunch break. Amazing sausage roll and fresh tasting apple juice from the fridge. Good quality food. Good meat selection. Was just what I needed

Stopped as in the area and went to check out the meat/ looked good so bought some. great quality and taste ,will be back for more. It was lunch time so ordered two take away Bacon baps , the best we have had in a very long time ,tasty bacon and plenty of it in the very fresh bap

I dropped in on the way home to pick up some meat for a BBQ and was astonished to find a really stylish cafe and wonderful farm shop. I discovered it is a family business with produce coming from their own farm. Well worth a visit.

great farm butchery, but also good for a coffee and snack stop. Really loved my quiche. Nice outside seating too (on a good day).

Lovely farm shop and cafe. Service and staff were great and the beef pies were the best we have ever had. We will definitely be going back

Being a regular customer at the excellent butcher on site, we thought we’d give the cafe a whirl for breakfast. Wish we hadn’t bothered as it was so disappointing. We had a regular breakfast with very tasteless bacon and dry sausages which were strangely small compared to those on the butcher’s counter. The baps had run out so I asked for a bacon sandwich instead (without the crisp and salad garnish) which arrived with both accompaniments on the plate. The sandwich was well filled but again, bacon was fairly tasteless. Coffee at a pricey £3.10 came from a hot drinks machine and was more froth than coffee. Won’t be returning to the cafe - such a shame as it’s very local to where we live. Will continue to use the butcher though.

The owners of Offham Farm shop clearly haven't read some of the comments here as nothing seems to have changed. I wish that I had read them before visiting yesterday. My wife and I called in there just because it was on our route and we fancied a quick break. It's a combined cafe and shop but there is no indication of how to order snacks or drinks. We also wandered round the farm shop and noticed that most items were unpriced. In my experience, that usually means that things are overpriced - which was certainly the case with our coffee and cake. I would recommend that you give this place a miss unless your pockets are very deep.

We came here because we like to support small businesses, it’s a very strange set up with the cafe being in the same shop as the butchers so as you walk in you can just smell the butchers. We both ordered the regular breakfast, when it came out it looked lovely but then when I started eating I realised the bacon was so small it was gone in 2 bites, the sausage was very bland no flavour at all, this is very disappointing for a farm shop, for £25 for 2 breakfasts a tea & very small cappuccino that came out of a machine we felt it was way overpriced, sorry we won’t be returning.

First and last time here. Came for coffee and lunch, very limited food offering as “staff shortage” meant no hot food, in the main holiday month? Cheese and pickle sandwich awful, thick white bread with minimal filling and hardly any chutney. When you enter no one welcomes you, and how are you supposed to know how to order as there is no indication and the only menu is small and on the wall! Large freezers full of frozen pies and various cakes, absolutely no prices .

First visit but won't be the last, great butchery, nice selection of pies fresh or frozen, good coffee, sausage rolls crisps, cold drinks and cakes for us all. I think very reasonably priced as we also bought pies etc to take home. Clean, tidy and very clean customer toilets, free parking . Only a slight criticism was the cheese selection but on the whole well worth a visit

Disappointed with the steak pie. Overcooked, which is a shame because I usually rate them highly. Probably a glitch

A birthday treat of tea and cake. Lovely shop / cafe. Eat in or out. Easy free parking, toilet, air conditioning.

What a find ! Dived in for a coffee as noticed the signs so glad I did. Nice cup of coffee But the highlight One of the best sausage sarnies I’ve ever had! Great fresh bread and wonderful sausages so good I bought some to take home after spending £40 on other items . As for the scotch eggs Unbelievably good . Will definitely be returning and sampling other items . Highly recommended and served by a lovely friendly lady. Highly recommended

Good morning Lewes Today I visited the Offham Farm shop for a full English Breakfast. This is a place I would recommend a visit not just for Tea cake and coffee but a cooked meal or just to buy some nice home grown food. I am assured by staff most of the products sold on the premises are either home grown or locally sourced. The layout is spacious products for sale are all displayed in glass cooling cabinets table and chairs are well spaced out clean and tidy

They make the price up as they go a long got totally ripped off in the shop avoid if you don’t want to be ripped off

I would have given 5 stars as their Chicken and Bacon Pies are delicious BUT they have gone down in size and given that they are quite expensive anyway they have lost value. Sausages also good.

You go to the farm shop for one thing - first class, quality reared and beautifully butchered meat. The cute are excellent, the sausages fantastic and their scotch eggs are a real treat!

A souless little area set aside for the café. Wanted some lunch but were told they had no ham for the ham and pickle sandwich and no lettuce for the BLT. Opted for two beef and horseradish sandwiches and cups of tea. The bread was as cheap and nasty white sliced as you can imagine. Little in the way of horseradish. Beef was decidedly mediocre. Came with a scattering of stale crisps and a knife and fork..the knife was bent..!?! No salad or ganish. Tea tasted cheap and nasty. We could finish neither. Gave some feedback to the girl behind the counter who said they'd been having complaints about the bread for a while.. ironically they sell lovely loaves of bread from the Flint Owl bakery in Lewes but bizarrely haven't thought of actually using it in their sandwiches. We were offered "takeaway discount" but settled on paying for one of the two lunches. The worst farm shop café for many a mile.

Very talented butchers selling the best proper home made sausages around, their beef is excellent too - also the pies and sausage rolls are superb value and absolutely lovely also

We visited the cafe today and the sandwiches were awful. My daughters BLT had cold bacon and was sent back. The bread was from store bought sliced loaves - truly horrible. An order for orange juice was served as orange squash.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter. Excellent sandwiches of a BLT and tuna mayonnaise. Freshly made and at reasonable prices. Sat outside as it was sunny. Will definitely be returning. Bought a slice crunch cake for my other daughter This was delicious. Purchased some sausages which look super. As yet have not consumed.

As a walking group we decided to meet for coffee at this lovely farm shop in the heart of Ouse countryside in Sussex. This turned out to be the perfect place. It was a sunny day and so we were able to sit in the farm yard and drink our excellent cafe latte and cake. Had we been on a shopping mission we would have cleared the shop out, as it was full of beautiful fresh produce. There is a seating area inside had the weather been bad, but the farm yard was definitely the best option for walkers on a sunny day. This farm does not profess to be a chic city coffee emporium (v.v earlier comment), but only the faint of heart would expect that. The kids visiting loved it, and there was not smell from pigs!! And we did too. Will definitely walk in the area again and make sure we have coffee here.

Wanted to try Sussex beef and it is delicious. Try skirt, marinaded then grilled or fried, a tour de force. Seriously fine taste. A great farm shop and with a charming oriental touch.

Visit the the tea shop and take your dinner home with you. Pleasant space to rest. Going back to do a bigger shop

It's all very well having a nice farm selling wonderfully fresh and organic food. But: I'm sorry you cannot have a cafe next to a pig sty. The stench is unbearable in the cafe and there are flies everywhere. I'm cannot understand how the EHO's have allowed this.

On the way back home from Kent to Surrey we called in at Lewes and found this farm shop on Google with a plan to buy something for dinner and have some lunch.
