Very disappointing, particularly a very dry lasagne, a beetroot salad with very small pieces of beetroot and a chicken wrap with little chicken

The wait staff at the bar and kitchen were friendly and accommodating. Service was fast. The food was good, piping hot, as you would expect, and nicely presented. The only downside for me was portion size. It did not reflect price. In particular, I was disappointed with the seasonal vegetables that came with my meal. Two tiny slices of carrot and one small piece of cauliflower and one small piece of broccoli. Desert of jam Roly poly and custard had very little custard and was quite dry. Conversely my husband had sorbet and had three large scoops! Yes I was jealous lol. Overall we had a lovely time in a nice relaxed atmosphere and we went on to enjoy the performance.

Really tasty food, good prices, lovely staff and great service. I had the pepperoni flatbread pizza and my husband had the rarebit, delicious

Fabulous pre matinée lunch. The food was excellent and the staff very nice indeed. All at an affordable price. Can’t fault it.

Perfect for a pre-show dinner, the Octagon Kitchen is welcoming and serves great food. It is reasonably priced. I started with the b;ack pudding and bacon stack, folle=wed by theri beef burger with bacon and a rarebit topping. Great quality burger sooked just right. Will certainly eat there again when visiting the Octagon

There was 3 of us older ladies, and we did enjoy our meal but there was far to much food for our appetites, we had to leave quite a lot of food, we hate waste so why don't you do smaller portions for smaller appetites, we really enjoyed the Queen show though,

We had matinee tickets for the Octagon but didn’t realise we could eat there. After failing miserably to find anywhere to eat, and running out of time, I nipped in to ask their advice and the lovely lady in the cafe bar squeezed us in for a meal. Very nice, excellent service. We’d deffo go back.

We booked a meal 2 hours before the show. Great timing, service, and food. There was plenty of time for us to enjoy 2 courses plus drinks in a calm friendly atmosphere. A good menu at a reasonable price. A very nice pre show meal.

Nice calm space for lunch whilst feeding baby grab daughter away from bustle of town centre. Great vegan cake and tasty soup.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the Octagon Bar and Kitchen. The young ladies who served us were delightful. Full marks to all!

We went pre show, there was nothing to order but hot drinks cake snd crisps. The attendance numbers would have been available.... No fall back for sandwiches, soup etc. Planning and foresight?!?

Went on Saturday before going to a show at the Albert Hall. Pre theatre menu excellent, food excellent and service also excellent We thoroughly enjoyed each course, the girls serving were lovelyand even with a bottle of prosecco it was very reasonable We will definitely return

This spot is great for a pre-show dinner, a nice selection of food & are considerate of people’s dietary needs. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Delicious pre theatre supper served by friendly and attentive staff. My brother has a poor appetite but he enjoyed two starters and a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. I had Thai fish cakes followed by a warm chocolate brownie and ice cream.
