Oceano in East Devon

Not our usual stop in Seaton for a coffee but thought to try somewhere else. Glad we did. Husband had hot chocolate which he said was hot and chocolatey. I had black americano which was good flavour. Good selection of cakes as well. Nicely fitted out cafe, friendly staff and, hoorah, a no dog policy! We will be back. Thank you.

Tuesday morning 12th December and we visited this coffee shop which is situated near the seafront in the Town. This modern nicely furnished coffee shop which also serves as a Community Hub, so is very popular as a meeting place for a coffee and a cake. We found a seat in the steamed up bay window area, then one of us went to the counter to order our coffees. There was a display of wonderful looking cakes on offer. We ordered two flat whites £2.95 each, a smile from the person serving would have been nice. On the plus side, she did bring the coffees to the table when they were ready. The coffees were reasonable, nothing special. The place was very nicely decorated for Christmas.

Lovely location and staff . We ordered a Latte and Flat white , both came and weak watery coffee with no froth . We were so disappointed we didn’t even drink them .

What a wonderful find! My husband and I had walked from Beer to Seaton and needed a nice cup of tea and a cake! Walked over to this cafe as it looked inviting and several people in there. It was lovely inside bright and modern and lovely comfy chairs. The ladies gave us a lovely welcome. We had a lovely pot of tea each and banana cake and caramel shortbread which went down a treat! They told us they only opened in August. They have made it a lovely place inside so clean and welcoming. We cannot understand the negative reviews ,they are doing a great job We will definitely be back again! Good luck to them!

Lovely new Cafe and thankfully Dog free.Kiera looked after us well and the tea cake and tea were lovely.Cappucino great too but not hot enough for me. Will be back.Clean and modern.No yapping dogs so very enjoyable.

Ordered two cups of coffee.Waited a long time,when they arrived the order was wrong.Iasked for a cappuccino and got a latte.I told the waitress who took the latte back to the serving area and sprinkled chocolate powder on top of the latte! By this time the drink was warm and not hot.

We ordered 3 toasties, a soup and 2 cakes for 6 people with drinks. We were advised after we ordered and paid they the toasties would not arrive together which was ok but after waiting 20 mins with just 2 coffees and no sign of the 2 milkshakes and 3rd coffee arriving I had to ask for the cakes to be served. Food was average… toasties not very well ‘toasted’ and we all ate and drank at different times. Was looking forward to trying this place out but unfortunately it was an expensive not very tasty experience.

Extremely average all around poor quality ingredients, bread from a supermarket and wafer thin meat in the sandwich filled out with sauce. Nice people but painfully slow food came out at different times. Nice enough place, friendly enough just poor around. Don't waste your money.

Rubbish service - we wait ones 30 mins for our order and it was wrong. Of the 6 orders taken while we were here they were all wrong or late. Although the people are lovely the service is such that I would not recommend this place

Wow what a wonderful find , after a very brisk walk along the sea front, how lovely to find this place the coffee was the best I have ever had , the staff were very friendly the cakes looked amazing sadly I didn’t have one on this occasion. We will definitely be coming back here again

Nice coffee but cheese scones were a bit dry and too expensive at £4.50. At that price I would expect a slice of cheese or some garnish with the scones.

I was charged £6.15 for a small latte with an extra shot. I had tapped my card and already paid but when I complained that it was the most expensive coffee I’ve had in my life the barista said ‘I don’t make up the prices’!!!… well clearly someone does just that and makes them up on the spot!!Perhaps they should do some market research on other coffee outlets rather than just making things up! The coffee itself was actually very nice though and the the barista, apart from the unfortunate comment, was very polite and pleasant.

What an excellent cafe. In the old woolworths building . Staff amazing very friendly .Plenty of seating space . The cakes are just lovely i had the white chocolate custard blonde my partner had the muffin . great selection of cakes. they also sell ice creams . And in the corner of the shop in the window , they also sell a great selection of greetings cards with local pictures from a local pastel artist . will definatly be returning . They have worked very hard to get this place to a high standard . Well done everyone .

Went in just on the off chance as the coffee shop around the corner was closing at 3.45 on a Saturday 😮..so we went into this one as it was bustling with customers and no sign of closing soon..coffee was lovely..service with a smile..it was clean,modern and well stocked with lovely cakes and pastries..they also sell ice creams...i note that alot of comments are saying its expensive but the size of cup for a latte is classed as a medium...my flat white was cheaper than what the local corporate chain charge ...plus point that they accepted cash which is great...I can see that this is a new business so I wish them all the best for the future..

Absolute peach of a coffee shop. Lovely coffee and tiffin and more pleasant than the infamous coffee chain

Extortionate price for 2 scone and 2 teas £17.95!!! Scones were just ok so nothing special. Shame as it’s put us of revisiting again. 😢 Checked out the prices of same thing in nearby venues and it’s half the price. Maybe need to look at...
