Lovely staff, fantastic fish and chips.

Polite staff and a perfect sized portion of cod and chips for one hungry person (small of each) ate every single bit, didn't mind the wait, was nice to see business doing well on a weekday night and was super fresh. Really lovely and super nice staff. 👍

Best Fish and Chips in Harwich by some distance

Thought it a good idea to have food del.chips cold,Onion rings cold,mushroom cold.first time not happy with chippy as used many times before but last time.

This was my first visit to this takeaway in quite a long time. A very small chip shop basically. But the food is excellent this one visit has now blossomed into regular stops when the need arises. Parking is a problem as the establishment is situated very close to a junction and also on a very narrow road, but this is now my goto takeaway as the prices are reasonable and the food is not greasy and does not taste of the fat either.

Don't ask for Pineapple fritters 😉 but the food is the best in town.

Ordered pie and chips here last night and when I got home they was cold not very enjoyable at all so ended up in the bin after wasting £11.70 at a chip shop just round the corner......

Called in here on a Bank Holiday Monday , looked busy so thought it would be good food. Cod and chips absolutely tasteless and greasy only managed a few chips. Dogs enjoyed the fish though.

A very unassuming place but believe me very worth the drive and small wait. The food was freshly made and was absolutely superb. Chips were perfectly cooked as was the pie and the fish. Not greasy and had great flavour. I would happily return and buy here again if I'm passing. Good job team.

Soggy chips with oily and bland battered fish. So much grease it soaked through the paper and a folded hand towel and still left residue on the table. Couldn’t finish it, only had 3 bites of fish and a dozen or so chips. The battered sausage was passable, but only just. Would probably be great after a night on the beers at the pub next door, but not when you’re sober. Service was great and the food was prepared quickly. Judging from the amount of good reviews they might have just had an off day.

Came off the ferry & fancied fish & chips. Decided to use Oceans. Friendly staff, quick service, fish & chips freshly cooked. Large portion but not excessive. Good batter over tasty fish. Nice chips. Very fresh tasting. Probably cooked in fresh oil. Highly recommended. Pray that these sole traders are helped with their energy bills & supported by the public or they'll be lost.

Very friendly service. The chips and battered sausage were very good. The cod was very nice although the batter a bit soggy they were generous sizes, even the small. The place looked clean. You have to wait which is fine I think when you are getting food made freshly. We were missing an item but didn't mind too much because the chips were so nice. Would use again.

I had pie and chip here Monday,I came back on Thursday to try the cod. The cod was cooked to order and the batter was crisp and the fish was cooked perfect I will use again when I'm back in the area.

Cracking fish and chips, on holiday and used these guys twice as food was best we have had in a long time. Will be back for more when we are in the erea.

Hake ，I feel that the meat quality is between cod and rock eel, the fish taste is relatively fresh, and there is no fishy smell. Highly recommended！

Very long wait times waited 35 minutes for food and the saveloys were not even warm. Travelled further to get to this one due to the reviews but was nothing special.

Had to wait 10 mins for sausage. Would of been OK.... if I was told.

Food was alright but in the time of Covid I found it strange that there was not a contactless payment option, cash only. I guess this is why there were no other customers there, the only reason I can think of for only taking cash is to hide the money from the tax man.

My favourite fish & chip shop in Harwich, best to order over the phone then collect but if not it’s still worth waiting.

Best takeaway in harwich. Brilliant quality. Brilliant service. Never had a disappointment with these guys.. they are a stones throw away too. Have to say they have these vegetable spring rolls that are bloody amazing. There is only one place that I came across that had these and that was at my secondary school. 20 years I've been waiting and here they are. Love your food and service

Hand on heart best fish shop ive been to since being up here fish and chips cooked to perfection and not greasy and cooked fresh you wait a bit but who cares it's beautiful. All i say is if your in a rush go to McDonald's. can't fault the place.
