Ocean City in Plymouth

Order arrived half an hour late with no apology from the restaurant. When plating up we realised one of the main dishes was wrong but decided to give it a go anyway (as given the original delay we weren't prepared to wait even longer), but wasn't to our taste and so went in the bin. Waste of money. Chips were soggy, ribs almost entirely gristle and prawn crackers burnt. Best bit was probably the BBQ sauce. Had much better food from here before but has obviously gone downhill since. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back in future.

The food was good, however the eggs were cold. There is also a wait for food which should not be the case at a 'buffet' breakfast. Also the staff are not very attentive and could be friendlier.

Absolutely disgusted with the service from here. I’ve never taken the time to write a review but I felt I had to this time. Food was barely warm (driver said he had been knocking on the wrong house for 10 minutes due to being told the wrong address. We ordered an egg fried rice with our meal, we didn’t receive it and called the restaurant to ask where it was, the owner I assume answered and was so rude I couldn’t believe it. Shouting down the phone saying we didn’t order a rice and that it was our fault because we agreed to the read back. I will absolutely never order from here again, I’d advise you not too also. Customer service was shocking.

Started eating my special chow mein on Saturday night and felt a stab in the roof of my mouth. Removed what turned out to be a bit of a steel scourer (around an inch in length) I rang them and was told it happens sometimes and that it was from the scourer used to scrub the woks. Offered a free meal but we won’t be ordering again. Refunded me but it’s disgusting that it happens at all.

Very disappointed we have used you for years,and our meal was discussing on friday shame on you,i even tryed coming onto the shop and just let you know HORRIBLE

Can’t complain very good overall always order from here, the only thing I have noticed is the chip portions have gone down for some reason. Nice chinese.

We love this Chinese. Lots of really tasty dishes, I always ask for extra garlic and they are obliging. Maybe the best beef Black bean I've ever had. Counter staff friendly and polite. Prices fair. The only dish we never order anymore is the crispy chilli beef as its not very crispy these days (it used to be really good. Maybe a recipe change?). But who cares.... The rest is great! Oh and their chips are lush. Proper chippy chips.

This is my local Chinese and the meals are always lovely, hot and fresh. Love their Malaysian satay skewers

Ordered tonight as a Mother’s Day take out treat kids were paying lol called up placed order told just over a hour wait not a problem food turned up within 50 mins so all good now to the food absolutely banging top draw to be honest way to much we order set meal for two and a mixed curry and rice was all cooked fresh and very very very tasty would highly recommend

Good value for money always on time , hot and delicious, fish & chips also tasty , only just opened seen it on my travels would recommend

Just moved to area & decided to try somewhere new instead of our usual takeaway. Very impressed so far. Ordered twice now, delivery quick and staff friendly, own website so can order and pay online. Chips are amazing, chow mien, chicken curry and Yong chow fried rice all good,tasty, decent portions and great value for money. Can’t wait to try something different from the menu next time. Free prawn crackers and loyalty points too 😘

Ocean city has a great selection of food to takeaway .one down size thay don't take cards but a cash machine is 4 doors up in witch is free .I have had food from this Chinese several times and have really bean satisfied with the food .it has not bean open long but I think this Chinese will go from strength to strength.

Seems to be newly refurbished. Quite smart in a simple way. Biggish menu and they offer to deliver fish and chips. All the predictable dishes and some more besides. Limited parking but right outside.

The previous chinese takeaway had lost its way and been closed for some time, Ocean City opened during the summer and has quickly established itself a worthy successor, i've had multiple take outs since opening and while the quality has been inconsistent on a whole it has gone from strength to strength. Quiet frankly Swilly wouldn't be Swilly with out its cornerstone takeaway.
