Visited Harrogate for a funeral and it's safe to say this fish and chip shop was the highlight of the day. Great food, fantastic owner and incredible prices.

Best chippy in Harrogate area hands down (out of the 8 or 9 I've been to). It's getting harder and harder to run a profitable chippy with a combination of increased costs, increasing competition (deliveroo, just eat etc), changing consumer habits and less people eating out with the cost of living etc. One day, like so many other places that make a community what it is, this place will have to shut its doors. And what a sad day that will be. So if you're in the mood for some no-nonsense, great-tasting grub, why not take a trip down to support your local chippy. You can even ring ahead so you're not waiting

Visited Oatlands Mount Fisheries tonight, fab and lovely customer service - kids were given chip lollies whilst we waited for our order to be freshly cooked. Fish was really tasty and will be back again soon for our Friday night chippy! Thanks Jack and team 😊

well what can i say omg amazing staff and so welcoming its untrue! I cant belive t prices so cheaper than round the corner and ypu dnt get the freindly bannter! Bloke got all agitated cos they’d failed to prepare “sold out - sold out!!” That’s fine mate - won’t come here again! Lesson learned!

We visited very late just before closing this evening after a busy day at the Great Yorkshire show. We we very happy with service and friendly reception we received and didn’t mind waiting for our food as it was all cooked fresh to order as they were just about to close. We really must say that the later opening times really make it a great place to come. I can’t recommend this place enough always service with a smile.

Came from Bristol to babysit my son‘s house so I’ll try this fish and chip shop. Not disappointed Great Fish. Lovely batter chips were good gravy rich, beautiful good banter with the staff from the man on the elec scooter👍

I came in lunch time today got a small fish and chips and battered sausage and chips and sauce. the fish was dry but the batter was coated in grease. The fish wasn't cooked to order but sat for god knows how long the sausage was black and the batter was solid customer service cannot fault ...but after reading the reviews I expected much better!

We haven't had fish and chips here for some time, but with the new later opening times, we gave it another go. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the fish had delicious crispy batter. Good luck to Jack bringing in the new menus and later evening opening. 10/10

Come in here frequently and always a great fish and chips. The price is really good too! Heard there is a really good bike shop around the corner ;)

We visited Benson’s breakfasts, I got a sausage sandwich with beans and hash browns. My partner got the breakfast box. All the food was delicious and freshly cooked to order, very reasonably priced and we will definitely be back!

Been going to this chippy for many many years always been top quality food and you get your moneys worth! Then to make it better they have started to do breakfasts which again are outstanding for the price would 100 percent recommend.

Brilliant fish and chips, great meal deals, superbly friendly staff, easy paying options. What more could I want? We will be regularly stopping by now, more local, more friendly and less expensive than bigger named fish & chip places in the area.

Came here a few days ago. Got half fish,chips,peas and a bread bun. Was absolutely delicious. Exactly what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was really nice and friendly and wished me a nice trip back to Darlington 😁. Also really good value for money. Less than a fiver and really good portion!

Amazing! The reviews for this chip shop say it all! Friendly, excellent service and a very traditional and old style presentation in newspaper. The fish was fresh, cooked perfectly, with the chips small and extremely tasty. Jim and the girls offer a service that you certainly do not find in any other chip shop in the area and having just moved to the area, I can honestly say that this is going to be a weekly visit. This proves that it’s not the size of the business that counts, it’s about the service and the quality of the food. Thanks guys.

This is a basic, local take-away fish & chip shop. Food is freshly prepared while you wait so always piping hot. The shop is clean, staff are always friendly and portion sizes good. Inexpensive. To my taste, on this visit the chips were too greasy and the fish a little overdone, although I have to say I've never noticed this on my previous 3 visits so may be it was a one-off.

Been lunchtimes and fish and chips were nice. Went one evening and chips were mostly bits and fishcake was like it had been re heated from lunchtime. Not Impressed

We use Oatlands Fisheries every year for our Annual Rossett PTA Quiz night. They manage to get us 60+ suppers on time and tasting amazing ! Big thank you to Jim and his team.

A brilliant Yorkshire chippy, lovely fish in a light batter, lovely crisp golden brown chips. Great curry sauce. Good selection of drinks had a cream soda. Even gave me free scraps!
