Ivory Bar in Harrogate

I can’t thank the whole team at Ivory for making hosting my Niece’s 21st any better. From the initial conversation about what we were trying to achieve, to being so accommodating to let us into the venue early to decorate, to the lending of scissors ✂️ and Helium of which I arrived with neither. 🙄 the offer of 2 drinks to my friend and I as we set it up (sorry I still owe you for them) they were simply amazing. Hosting something can be really stressful but here you just seem to be able to turn up and they just know what you need. Such a good night had by all, I received a phone call to let me know 3 mobiles had been left which I collected and returned to all the guests who clearly had too much fun! 🙄 Thank you all for making a very special night perfect. Highly recommend to anybody wanting to host an occasion, you are in good hands x

Having travelled from Manchester for a recent night out in Harrogate, we booked a table at the ivory bar along with our friends who recommended this place. On our arrival , the doorstaff gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our table. The cocktails were amazing and the DJ was great. A really nice ambience. Big shout out to the doorstaff and the lovely Mark who was our Host for the night who really looked after us. Highly recommend this place !

After being served a glass of red wine that was clearly off, my partner went to the bar in order to explain this and was then greeted with toxic masculine hostility from the manager, Mark. His words were, 'it's the house red, what do you want?' He laughed at her too. He begrudgingly replaced the wine.This situation should not have been questioned. It wasn't appreciated one bit. A VERY rude and conceited individual. I approached "The manager" before leaving the premises and mentioned that I would be writing an email to the area manager due to his conduct. He then pointed to the area manager at the end of the bar (with smugness). I had a chat with him and he was more understanding and kind. He made a point of speaking to my partner and made her feel a little more at ease, which was certainly appreciated. I will still be making a formal complaint. This behaviour is completely unacceptable. I expect better service from a premium bar in Harrogate. Especially when you pay a tenner for a glass of wine. Been in here a few times. Other staff were great. The manager needs to take a course in customer service and learn how to be kind to his customers. He also needs to learn hospitality. That's his job after all. And cut the attitude! Don't think we will go back after this, unfortunately.

Best bar in Harrogate, great drinks and fast friendly service. Must go for nightlife in Harrogate! Also had a fab bar and wicked dj, made our night, Thankyou xx

Awful pub, stuck up clientèle, had our drinks knocked over by 2 drunks trying it on with our wives but nothing done by staff beforehand or when they run off. Only plus side were the bar staff - given an extra star for them.

This was a private party and the food was done by outside catering so not a reflection on this great little bar..Brilliant friendly bar staff and great selections of cocktails..Highly reccomend..

Amazing atmosphere, table service which was a nice unexpected surprise. Live artist who was fantastic and very friendly staff.

Staff are polite and professional plenty of places to sit, good choice of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed my night. Music was excellent and enjoyed the live singer too. I'd like to say a big thank you to the doorman, he was a true gentleman escorting us and everybody else to there table and making us feel safe top man. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely going back.

Had a few drinks in this bar last Friday, brilliant atmosphere, we especially enjoyed the live music! Reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff, very fast service! I accidentally left my ID in the bar and the team were super helpful in getting it back to me - thank you! Next time I'm over in Harrogate I'll defo be calling in!

Disappointed, door staff very professional and on point, inside was asked twice for drinks we already ordered, trying to push high end but staff in mixed uniforms, the place was dirty and broken furniture, looking to be a nice place to go but my missing the mark

What a great place. A vibe that mixes 50’s cocktail bar surroundings with Motown, soul and a little bit of Lionel Ritchie too. Warm welcome from owners, manager and all front of house staff, covid secure (but with an easy going approach) attentive service and a great Negroni, I can’t recommend Ivory Bar highly enough. Book a table to avoid missing out. They have tapas too. We’ll be back. Jessica Aziza was singing the night we visited and her voice would give many a recording artist a run for their money too.

We went on a Saturday evening ,there was a live singer on she was really good great atmosphere despite the new covid rules . The managers /owners were incredibly welcoming so friendly even the doorman was extremely nice and friendly . I would recommend booking if it's a Saturday . Well worth a visit .

Came to a burlesque night here which was fab! Could do with looking at the house wines . There weren't very nice for 20 a bottle!

Pub was good. Toilets a disgrace.

Happy hour 5 to 9 PM...2 pints for under £5 ..if you like disco music it's great if you don't like me it knocks a star or 2 off 😉

A Sunday night and the rest of the town was quiet-this place was buzzin'. Great music, chic atmosphere and nice decor. Loved it!👍

The burlesque night was amazing! I think they raised a lot for charity as well but either way, an amazing night.

Great for afterword drinks when you finish gone midnight!

Some great live music is on here. Lots of fun to be had. Good DJ too. Older mixed croud, everyone seems really friendly. Door staff are lovely. I haven't had food here before so I can't comment on that but they have a nice selection of drinks. I prefer this place when live music is on or the DJ, if you go early it is very quiet but would be nice to meet as a couple there as it's pretty and really relaxed.

Fantastic night in The Ivory - Myself and 12 friends from Middlesbrough went here to celebrate New Years Eve. Fab atmosphere and a brilliant band The Rebel Sounds made it a night to remember. Decor was also lovely.

Great atmosphere, great music, beautiful surroundings, fantastic staff.

All good service , however, cocktail ordered and a small amount poured in glass from shaker and given to me and larger amount poured in pint glass .. topped up with coke and taken out back ..that I paid for .. come on guys ..don't rip off your public !! Disappointing for a potentially great place
