We stayed in Ash Tree Lodge, and it was stunning! Had all the amenities and facilities that we needed, plus more. Made to feel very welcome and looked after by onsite team. The lodge felt luxurious, and with your own personal hot tub, we were made to feel very very special! Definitely worth a stay, we will be back!

We start at Oathill farm for the weekend to celebrate my birthday, on arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very helpful with things on site and also advising us of.Near by places to go and places to eat. We took our 2 dogs with us and was lovely to have a little welcome pack for them (towel, blanket and treats) lovely touch. The lodge was immaculate. Felt like a home away from home. Beds were very comfy and all slept well. My little boy loved his room with tv and would often find him chilling in his room watching it! The hot tub was a lovely touch and very welcome after a long walk with the dogs.

We have just returned from a long weekend at Oathill farm. What a delightful place! We stayed in Fir Tree Lodge, with our dog. On arrival, the lodge was impeccably clean and very welcoming. No pet odour (as you sometimes get in pet friendly stays) and a little basket with doggy treats, dog blankets, and Poo bags - which we thought was a lovely touch! The lodge itself was very well equipped, very comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely big shower! The hot tub was a bonus - again, all lovely clean and beautifully kept. The site was peaceful, well maintained and within easy reach of the coast and lots of pretty villages . We would definitely book again!

We have just got back from our family holiday at Oathill Lodges. We stayed here monday to friday and couldn't fault the lodge or location. It didnt dissapoint! Even tho the weather was rubbish and we had storm Ciaron, the lodge was cosy enough for us. We enjoyed time in our own hot tub each evening, which was cleaned and inspected each morning! The couple who ran the holiday site couldnt have been more helpful and inviting. They had left the children pumpkins and sweets on arrival. We were about half an hour drive to Lyme Regis and Charmouth beach, which was great, lots of fossil hunting. We also took an hours drive to visit the tank museum and durdle door. We would highly reccomend Oathill lodges. And will defiently be returning for another stay!

First visit to Oathill was for Sunday Lunch which was excellent, so much so that we decided to book our family sunday lunch for 22 in Lucys tearooms, as some of our guests were staying on the campsite. I cannot praise Carol and Les enough for making us so welcome and providing an excellent sunday lunch for 15 adults and 7 children. We had a choice of beef or turkey or vegetarian option, served with yorkshire pudding, sumptious roasties, broccoli, cabbage, peas, carrots, cauliflower, and parsnips, delicious gravy, choice of 6 puddings, winter fruit crumble, apple pie, ginger sponge, fruit pavlova, chocolate mousse and very sherry trifle. All superb. Some of us had coffee and tea. Wine and drinks are available. Service was excellent, professional, friendly and very smooth. Children were served first and also provided with crayons and colouring sheets. We all had an absolute fantastic time. Thank you

Stayed in Ash Tree Lodge for 4 nights.Such an idyllic quiet site. The lodge had everything we needed, and was spotlessly clean. I was even phoned before we arrived to ask what duvet theme my daughter would prefer on her bed (football was chosen).Although the site looked full as all the pitches were in use, it was so peaceful and quiet.I felt it was great value for money as we stayed during August, and would recommend to anyone. I hope to visit again one day.

Just back from these lodges after a week spent in Ash Tree Lodge.Spotlessly clean lodge in very well kept grounds. What a shame that the Hoseasons details about the lodges state a “ fridge freezer” - it is a standard under the work top fridge with a small ice compartment - in the case of the lodge we were in - held closed with black gaffer/duck tape . The other fact on hoseasons details also state “ a bath with overhead shower attachment” which is basically a bath with a rubber hose which pushes onto ( we couldn’t get it to do this )the bath taps - these are things which really need addressing - would we use these lodges again? - probably not - given these lodges are not cheap for a week in July - they are missing basic facilities

An overnight stay for a family ‘ get together’.All the facilities you would expect and a quirky layout as it’s all old farm buildings. They have a tea room on site and a little shop.We were in the grass camping field and had electric, which was fine but quite a walk from the facilities which isn’t ideal when you don’t have your own on board!I would have hated to go to the the shower block in the rain ....So with that in mind, I do think it was a little expensive. However if I’m ever up that way again and need a stop over, I would consider this site.

Had a fabulous week at this lovely little campsite. We were in a tent and stayed in the grass field with electric which looked to be the best location as it had sun all day if you wanted it but shade too. The pitches are large and there’s no pitching in the centre of the field, just around the edge so it feels spacious and there’s plenty of room for children to play whilst you can watch easily.Shower block was spotless always and is modern. There’s no pushing a button for the shower so you can enjoy a hot shower for as long as you like. There is a family bathroom with shower which was great for washing with the kids. The small shop is open 24hrs with an honesty system and stocks most essentials. We didn’t use the tea room but it looked good and reasonably pricedAs other reviewers have said, Les is really helpful and welcoming. This is not a campsite with loads of rules plastered all over the place but fellow campers were respectful, friendly and quiet. The location is good for getting to lots of places. There’s no club house of disco, just perfect camping as we think it should be. One of the best, will definitely use again.

We went with our young family and had a wonderful time. The site is friendly, well-managed and very clean, and Sammy was a delight, always helpful and polite. She gave my children a nature trail around the farm and even gave us some food for the goats. We had tea and cake twice and frankly if we'd stayed longer we'd have it every day if we could! It's a very quiet, peaceful stay in the country with plenty to explore, and it does have a number of lodges and a B and B so would be a good call for a considerate larger group. We will definitely be back.

Our family from Essex spent 6 fantastic days here in our motorhome. The couple that run this site and the staff are top class, if they were a football team they certainly would be Barcelona. Les was such a gent and so kind as was his wife Caroline. The animals on the farm were so friendly and there was so much to do here. The shower block was pristine clean and the little camp shop was ideal for all those essentials and bits you forget to take away with you. The tea rooms in the old country house was divine, you must treat yourself to a cream tea. The farm is near to great locations like Bridport, Lyme Regis and even the small town of Crewkerne is a great place to visit. Any problems and the owners are so willing to help. The farm is spotlessly clean and spacious with lots to look at and there is a great pub just a short walk across the field which is very friendly and does great food. Our stay at Oathill Farm was the highlight of our three week holiday in Dorset. Despite the weather not being great we still have many great memories of our stay at Oathill Farm and would definitely return.

My only ripe is that we paid a lot for a very small tent £27 although it was a large pitch i think they should have a section for walkers and bikers at a less rate .. toilets were a bit of a walk in the night for me ..

Good location for sightseeing for example Forde Abbey and Cricket St Thomas. Can recommend the tour of the Deer Sanctuary which you need to book in advance. Would definitely recommend.

When we arrived I was slightly disappointed by the view from the lodge as it faces the car park, shower block and caravans, however once inside we soon forgot as the lodge is lovely and has everything you need inside. The park also has an animal area with chickens, rabbits, goats and cows. The children loved them and were allowed to collect the eggs and put the animals to 'bed'. They children also made friends with many other children who were camping and caravaning and the park had a really lovely homely feel. The location is quite remote and pubs are not walking distance with small kids, however Crewkerne is only a few miles away and has 3 supermarkets. I thoroughly recommend this site for campers, caravaners and the lodges.

Our last three holidays had been at Haven sites so we were looking for a quiet but family oriented sight for our base to explore Dorset. BINGO! Oathill ticked all the boxes. We camped for 6 nights. We were supposed to be 5 but we were having such a lovely time we extended by a day. The camping area is a lovely field with marked out pitches and electric hook ups. Next to the field is an enclosure with rabbits, ducks, goats and a cow. All of which my 6 year old boy fed with much delight. There is a fishing lake that is abundant with fish and my husband was landing fish after fish. The shop stocked everything you needed and more with it working as an honesty shop at night. There is a fridge and freezer to use. Toilets and showers are the cleanest and best working I've ever used on a campsite. We had lunch at the tea room one day. We were looked after extremely well and the food was lovely home cooked goodness. Especially the puddings.

Toilets and showers were spotless! To top it off there is a great honesty shop full of goodies whether you need them or not. So peaceful and relaxing will def come again!!!

We spent a couple of nights in this countryside touring park, in our motorhome. It's a bit off the beaten track and only accessible via B roads, which can become quite narrow in places. There are no genuinely usable transport links nearby. We were quoted £40 to take us to Lyme Regis. So if your touring with a motorhome like us and want to get out & about, then the location isn't so great. However, If you want a few days just chilling out, then maybe this touring park is worth a visit. Lyme Regis isn't too far away as the crow flies, but it's made more of a trek by the country lanes that you need to negotiate.

A small hidden Cafe hidden down a side alleyway, delivers a big smile through it's food and warm welcoming hosts. They make delicious salads, homemade crustless quiche, large saucer style macaroons, homemade sausage rolls and vege rolls. It's the only place in Dorchester that i feel the food is good for you, cooked on the spot there that day, great coffee and choice of tea's etc. Seating is limited and very sadly due to it's size of premises maybe closed due to Covid, please double check.
