Tasha was our server - very friendly and up for a laugh, allowed us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to eat. Stan was our chef - absolutely amazing quality of food!

Went for lunch today with partner and was served by Tasha who was extremely welcoming and very attentive. Tasha seemed happy to help whenever we needed anything, really helped us feel comfortable and enjoy the meal out. The fish and chips were really nice, the fish is also quite big. The sharing platter starter was really nice and a good selection of different foods and dips. Will definitely be coming back again!

Good choice of foods cooked well by Stan. Veggie sausages cooked properly not dry. Pleasant and efficient staff, Tasha was a very attentive member of staff who waited on our table.

Brilliant prices. Good portions, very hot food, no complaints what so ever. Jade and Daz were fantastic, friendly, approachable, attentive but not too much where it can be annoying. Very on board with allergies. Asked without prompt. Chatty and helpful. Would definitely visit here again if we are back in the area. Wish we had such excellent food and service down south!! Thankyou very much for a fab experience. Highly recommended venue.

A Sunday roast cooked to perfection thanks guys

Evening meal for 2. We were served by Petra who was very welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed our meal, and drinks. We even managed dessert which was nice and that value for money.

This evening - very disappointed. Found a table and waited ages at bar to order. Heard a very loud voice and realised it was aimed at me - apparently we should have waited to be seated (no sign stating this - we looked everywhere afterwards) and nobody to meet and greet. We were told it was table service - again no indication of this. A lot of options on the menu were not available. My vegan burger was very hard on the edges and the accompanying coleslaw so spicy I couldn’t eat it. My sister tried it and commented how spicy it was. Nobody asked how our food was. Paid the bill and left. General overall view was poor food, grubby surroundings and tired grubby furnishings. Won’t be returning.

Now then pal......rolled back the years today with a trip to the oasthouse to see how it's changed over the years and for a spot of lunch! I'll be honest with ya pal the tables and chairs have definitely seen better days and especially where we were seated. The chair I sat in was stained to high heaven and looked like whoever had last frequented it had followed through but luckily it was dry to touch and just badly stained! My knife had what looked like the remnants of someone's Brussel sprout on the end of it but luckily when my food arrived it came with a clean steak knife 🔪 The food and service was lovely and spot on though but it was extremely cold in the place like they are trying to save on heating? 🔥 It was also extremely quiet. Before we left I nipped to spend a penny and wow.......the toilets were in better nick than the restaurant! Surely you refurb the restaurant first before the toilets........not this place pal!

Average. This is the 3rd year we booked for Christmas and unfortunately now the last. Very average, beef was tough as a shoe, gammon was like a slice of bacon. Everything else was just plain. Really gone down in quality. No small treats/gifts for the kids like years before and it had lost the relaxed, Christmas feel somehow. Disappointed to be honest.

Food was ok but it far too long for requested condiments. Staff need to know the menu and shouldn't be shocked with items over the page. When people are paying full price you need to up your game.

Came on a weekday for my birthday lunch. Served by Tasha who was extremely friendly and made the experience even better. I have only recently started going out after being ill for a few years and Tasha really made me feel comfortable and ensured we were happy with everything. Even gave me a gift as it was my birthday! Food was lovely and not too expensive. The cocktails were beautiful! Thank you for making my birthday so lovely!!

As I'm a regular here the service is always great. Petra always has a smile and willing to help. A great server.

Had at lovley Turkey Festive dinner today, the staff were wonderful helpful and friendly. We had a beer tea and coffee. Seek it out and try it folks.

Wow! What a lovely establishment to enjoy a beautiful, delicious meal! Myself and my family went for Sunday Lunch, the atmosphere was so relaxing, chilled and fun!. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was top quality! Absolutely delicious! My whole nine family members all loved and enjoyed their food! Such great quality and yes we definitely recommend! We will be going again and again. We were extremely impressed!!

As far as pubs go, it was you'd expect. Food is what you'd want after a few drinks, prices are reasonable. The best part about this pub is the service. Couldn't do enough for me and my work party. Sam was especially helpful and attentive, thank you.

Breakfast with table of four, staff friendly and work hard to please customers. Food cooked well and hot when brought to the table. As a first time visitor here, wasn't made aware of requirement to enter car registration but that's the only negative. (There are signs, just didn't notice them straight away) Great value breakfast.🙂

Fantastic breakfast, as much as you can eat for under £10. The quality of the ingredients was exceptional and service was good. The continental breakfast is also very good. Excellent Sunday roast and very good children's menu.

Took the children for a treat we went for breakfast. Huge variety of continental and drinks for everyone, service was amazing and Karen and charlie were amazing too. Was a little error with the cooked breakfast but again Karen and charlie were amazing and made sure we ended up with a amazing service and too make sure we came back. Not a pleasant visit this evening. No atmosphere rude staff banging and clattering around us putting out the breakfast stuff.an argument with a regular and a member of staff although the member of staff didn't want to speak in front of customers. Place looks like it needs a good clean. Won't be going back again

Pretty poor show to be honest - waited an age to get served with no apology. Service was slow took over half an hour for food. The chips had been reheated - and the food was very average - no value for money and will not be eating here again.

We thought it was going to be a Carvery where we could choose our own veg & exactly what was on our plate. It is advertised as a Carvery. We were told the beef would be rare (pink) but it wasn’t. Surprisingly, no horseradish to go with it for my husband. I was presented with a plate with 2 huge Yorkshires. I could only eat one & would have preferred more veg. The table we were seated at - having reserved - looked as if it should have been sent to the tip long ago. Photo attached. We were moved to another table when we asked. My Triple Choc Brownie was disappointing - the cake was dry. My husband’s Banoffee Cheesecake was actually a baked New York one with some slices of banana & caramel sauce on top. Again, not what he expected. Absolutely NO atmosphere in the place & the sorrowfully scant customers told a tale - the place was virtually empty. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t choose to eat there again. We have also been to the Toby Carvery in Chaddesden where all was freshly carved in front of us with masses of dishes of a huge variety of fresh veg for us to help ourselves &, if we wanted, we could go back for more. The atmosphere was buzzing and the decor comfortable. The meal was half the price of the Oast House! We WILL be going to the Toby again!

Rude staff turned us away with two little hungry children and said they were too busy and we had to leave even though you can make reservations online for the time we had arrived as I was leaving I checked again and could reserve a table for ten minutes time, plenty of empty tables etc

My server Tasha was attentive, professional and went above and beyond to help me take some breakfast up to my room for my child who couldn’t make it down to breakfast as they’d hurt their knee. Thank you Tasha!

We had two Sunday Roasts with cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. The meals were both perfectly cooked and good value for money. Our server Karen was extremely helpful and very polite.

Arrived at 1pm on a Saturday place was almost empty . Was seated and ordered drinks. when drink where served we ordered meals . We waited ages for them to arrive (50 MIN) The pie came with mash that had been sat to long under heat lamps when it should have been chips but said it was OK as we didn't want to wait for another meal . Food was nice. The waiter brought out some chips and said no charge . Paid the bill and at home noticed they had charged for the chips. Expensive for what it was .won't rush back

Our waiter daz was very efficient and went the extra mile of getting me a few extra cocktail cherries on a little dish as I said I really liked them snd could have eaten a whole jar. He was chatty and engaging and we enjoyed our evening

Visited yesterday for a few drinks with family. Beer was cloudy, ordered a dessert cost just under seven pounds, and was very poor. My husband went to use the toilet, and a urinal was overflowing and smelt aweful. The ladies weren't much better. It's usually very good but very disappointing 😞

Best breakfast in Derby. Great service. Great quality. Order want you want from the menu for 10.99. My usual is freshly cooked 5 poached eggs, 3 sausages, 3 bacon, mushrooms, hash brown, black pudding, tomatoes, 2 toast etc. then I love a pan au chocolate , cornflakes and 3 cappuccinos. Sets me up nicely for the day😀

Was a regular here for breakfast , I thought it was good value , breakfast was cooked fresh to your order , you could order 20 sausages ,bacon , poached eggs if You wished , then bottomless coffee or tea , fruit juice , cereal, toast , crumpets , alot more , the fact the cooked breakfast is cooked fresh is a bonus , not kept in a bain Marie , pre cooked , I think they had a offer and might still have it , that kids under a certain age eat free , one child to one adult , just check and get the full info

Understaffed, but helpful. service was slow, food was hot but the sausages and bacon could have done with a bit more cooking to give them a colour rather than looking half raw.

The food was ok, a-bit tasteless, the continental was not well stocked, the service was a bit slow, and I felt a bit rude, the person how seemed to be the manager was lovely.

Came in with a number of colleagues, 9 of us in total. Table pre booked and communication prior to ensure all confirmed. Service was fab, very friendly and keen to make sure everything was ok for the group. Food was lovely, we all had something different from chicken, burgers, gammon and no complaints. Will be coming back im sure, we all had a lovely meal out 🙌🏼

What a shame. Staff were spot on. We only had drinks, The whole place is just tired. If you judge a place by the seat coverings, you would walk out. I won't return until it's refurbished.

Family of 5 came for breakfast Sunday morning at 9:45. We were a little early due to the weather. Staff working extremely hard as I don’t think they expected it to be busy due to the weather. Large tables kept turning up. The staff are fantastic! Hospitality was fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The staff worked very hard and must of been under pressure. I’ve done this role before. I Understand the patient that’s sometimes needed! The food was incredible couldn’t fault it! I’m so sorry I lost my slip with the chefs names on but wanted to give them credit. I believe one was Sam. Sorry I forget the other gent/lady. Gent I think. Karen and Emma for front of house. We done to you all. See you again.
