Oakley's Grill & Pizzeria in Craven

Ordered The Veggie and The Classic Beef. They came absolutely bare. First time ever such a burger from a restaurant. Just dry and sad.

It’s all abit, average. It’s a really nice place, servers are lovely and polite. No bother there, they do the best job they can. Nice place to be and all that. But that’s where the positives stop. It’s just, nothing special for the price. £9 starter for four chicken wings with not a lot of meat. They where fine, not terrible. Just not great. £17 for a bowl of (blandish) pasta, like I say. It was fine. Just not £17 fine. For that you might expect a little garlic bread or something. The chicken was cooked lovely and flavourful though. It’s just, so expensive I think for what you get. If I could give 3 and a half I would. Didn’t hate my meal, just didn’t love it either. Sorry.

Very good meal for all three of us choosing a pizza, seafood risotto and a goat’s cheese salad. All tasty and well presented. The service was a little disorganised with three people asking us for our drinks order but after they all was good. Interesting menu with lots of choice. Too full to see what desserts were on offer

Waited 45 minutes for our meal to arrive then were told the order had not gone through. When it did come the chips were missing and when my friend asked for pepper that didn't come either. Our pizza and pasta meals were good and the waitress was apologetic. I feel service should have been better considering there was only one other table dining.

A hidden gem in back alley of Skipton and it did not disappoint. From arrival the staff were very welcoming and service throughout was fantastic. The food was delicious and good quality, portion sizes were big! My wife was defeated and they boxed the remaining pizza for her; she is also dairy free and they have a dairy free/ vegan cheese for her. It wasn’t on the menu we had to ask (they are missing a trick there). They also offer gluten free options and good children’s menu. I had a calzone and it was extremely good!

Just called in early doors. We ordered olives and grilled breads. Served quickly by a really friendly helpful server. We also ordered 2 pizza ( an Hawaii and a mushroom). Again served promptly after a short interval. These were perfectly cooked rustic bases. Just the right thickness, with lean fresh ham, tasty pineapple and also mushroom and cheese all put together perfectly. A great experience, we will be going again worth the 35 mile trip there. We’ll be back!

Very disappointed when I first walked in I was totally ignored the chef rang the bell at least 3 times before the waitress came down . .I should have left before that . I said I would sit outside making the most of the dry weather . I ordered a pizza and a glass of wine . The wine was lovely and cold and a nice drop pizza ok too cheesy no basil to be seen as I was sat outside I was told that I had to pay before food arrived as I was sat outside really . I found this to be rude and Patronising will not be back

Hi, we met up for a family reunion , we went to sit down had a drink and ordered our meals , the starters came which where good, but unfortunately our main meals didn't. Two of our main meals came and the other 3 meals came about 10 minutes later, this ruined our family time as we all wanted to eat together. There was also a strong smell of food in the restaurant, they didn't put the extracter fans on , so I came away with food smelling all over my clothes. I wasn't happy 😕. Will I come back again No I WONT

Food was delicious! Portions were huge and couldn’t finish it all even though we tried our best! Think we went into food comas afterwards. Staff were great too really friendly.

54 of us attended on Sunday 16 July for our end of season football awards celebration and Oakley’s were absolutely fantastic! To bring out 45 meals in such quick time without any issues is incredible, and credit to all the team these, especially Naz who is a huge asset to Oakley’s.

Ordered over the phone for a takeaway delivery as we have ordered many times in the past and enjoyed the food. However we were incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied ok this occasion. The ‘burger meal’ arrived with 6 chips accompanying it which were undercooked and the burgers were both ridiculously dry with no flavour at all. The only good part of the order was the cheesy garlic bread but the rest was awful. Definitely not worth the hour and 45 minute wait and the almost £30 spent. Won’t be ordering again.

CHEESECAKE Last weekend I ordered a 2 tier cheesecake birthday cake for my husbands 40th birthday (plus 15 individual cheesecake shot glasses with a variety of toppings aimed at children). They were all an absolute hit, the double cheesecake was devoured, along with shots in minutes and folk even went for seconds right away. Would highly recommend oakleys cheesecake, easy enough to find on Facebook and contact made with owner was simple, she recommended which flavours might work better and happily had the order ready in time for pick up on Sat lunchtime. I will definitely use them again when staying in the area and would highly recommend this cheesecake to others, it was delicious. Thanks again so much Claire.

I recently visited after having not been for a while, the food was as lovely as ever and we weren’t waiting long and the staff were very attentive. Was also made to feel very safe considering current circumstances.

Staff undertrained didn’t care, got the drinks wrong twice out of 2 times. The “chocolate brownie “ pudding was terrible, felt like a bathroom sponge and didn’t taste much better left all of it. Just short of £90 for 3 mains 3 deserts 4 pints and 1 orange, very overpriced for what we ate. We won’t be returning!!!’

My family and I have been to Oakley’s many times over the years and have not once had a meal/experience that we are unsatisfied with! Even after moving out of the area we still return whenever we can. The food is excellent with portion sizes that warm your soul! The desserts are on another level! Especially the cheesecake (biscoff is a favourite)! I was delighted to find out that Oakley’s Cheesecake Company had been set up and was even more delighted with the variety of cheesecakes on offer! Not only that but they were even kind enough to give me a free cheesecake for my birthday! You really cannot go wrong with the ‘early bird’ offer either! I haven’t ever left a review on trip advisor however they deserve it and I cannot wait to book my next visit sometime soon!

Lovely staff and very attentive. We went as a family of 4, the kids had pizza and spag bol (portions were more than enough) Everything was hot and made promptly (important when with two small children) we enjoyed everything we had and even managed to share a cheesecake which was homemade (nice touch!) Just to concur with tattie skins review, this was a very disappointing experience .On arrival we immediately pointed out that social distancing measure weren't adequate. No attempt had been made to keep people safe. The person on the next table was arms reach. 1 metre is an absolute minimum. Our friends had used this establishment before and believed that the layout had not been reduced for covid. Pointing out hand sanitizer was not made known to us.One hour for starters and 2 hours no mains. At no point before we decided to leave was it mentioned they were short staffed. Whilst it is very important to support the hospitality industry, this should not be to the detriment of customers.A little honesty may have gone some way to appease complaints, instead we had a full restaurant that didn't have the ability to serve everyone. To me that is plain greedy.All the other establishments in Skipton we visited that weekend appeared to have good covid secure status, Oakleys had not. Unfortunately I cannot give no stars.

Very friendly welcome and seated quickly. Restaurant has a nice feel to it and the food smells amazing as you walk in. All of our party enjoyed the food - most of us had pizza which was really good. The only thing that let them down was the lack of dessert options - the list of cheesecakes sounded amazing but they didn’t have any, or any cream and only limited ice cream options. (A delivery that didn’t turn up apparently). We had skipped starters as wanted desserts so were a bit disappointed.This said - if we are in the area again, we would give it another try as the food we did have was good!

What a terrible experience. Awful customer service. The tables are not set out for social distancing, we were less than 1 metre from the next table and did not feel safe. We were assured that the distance between tables had been measured by the owner, I don’t believe that is the case.I had booked a table for 4 people for 6:45pm, with a 2 hour time slot. By 8pm no starters had arrived so we asked politely how long our food would be. We were almost made to feel as though we had said something unacceptable by asking. Starters arrived 5 minutes later, one of which was not as described and was the smallest 3 pieces of so called bruschetta I had ever seen. More like 3 tiny slices of the tiniest french stick. We were told we would be given a reduced bill to apologise for our long wait. Three of our party of four ordered more drinks. Four drinks arrived, one of which hadn’t been ordered. Again we felt as though we had done something wrong when we said we didn’t want the drink as it hadn’t been ordered. At 8:45pm, the time we should have been vacating our table, the main courses had still not arrived. When we asked what was happening with our food we were informed that the chef had rung in sick and that we had already been offered a discounted bill, as though that was supposed to make us less unhappy that we’d waited so long. We didn’t expect there to be any bill having waited 2 hours and only had a starter! In fact one of our party hadn’t even eaten as he hadn’t ordered a starter due to ordering a large main course. One of our party suggested to the waiter that we leave without paying anything which he accepted. On leaving, a member of staff apologised, took an email address and assured us he would contact us the very next day with an apology and some sort of offer. It’s now nine days later and nobody has contacted us.This was such a disappointing experience, 2 of us have eaten here quite a few times before and always really enjoyed it. It’s safe to say we will not be returning.

So disappointed, booked a table (on line) a month ago, only to turn up today (with a confirmation email) to not to be on the system, we were seated (right to the very top floor, to be sat down and then told to move - for a party of 10 (yep-in the midst of Covid) apparently a 6 & a 4 is acceptable). Chicken tasted like it was processed and frozen, lamb had too much mint and was overcooked, lasagne was bland and dry! Decided to not go for a 3rd course. Service came across ok but really didn’t appear to listen to our requests or concerns. Very upset, because we were so looking forward to it but definitely won’t be returning.
