O-Tokuda in Chesterfield

Love this place! Been coming for the all you can eat for around 15 years every year! and I can say that I’ve never been disappointed the staff are very welcoming and attentive. We came for Valentine’s Day, we have every year now. The food is amazing never had a bad dish, I love mostly everything on the menu. Sushi is my favourite and they do NOT disappoint. For all you can eat this price is very good, you don’t feel rushed and the dishes are served pretty quickly. If you haven’t tried o-tokuda then please try! Can’t wait to come again. Thank you 🙏

I have visited previously and the food was great, however I can't comment on the food recently as unfortunately I had booked a table for 8 people on Saturday evening and when we arrived was told they hadn't got the booking and couldn't accommodate us, I had booked this over the phone as i initially booked online but didnt get an email so I called them and confirmed over the phone, I even showed the call log on my phone. I was very disappointed as it was for my birthday meal and as I have been before and loved it I was very excited to come again. I would go again as I did enioy my first time there around a year ago, but make sure you get a booking confirmation email or something when you book.

Didn’t enjoy the delivery. Ordered food up and down the country that driver did my head in asked for my on the door tip back . Bit more training I think 🤨 .

Lovely place, we always go for my partners birthday! The food is always delicious and they always bring him a birthday ice-cream and play happy birthday! The staff are always lovely and super efficient!

Ordered a beef ramen, the worst thing I have ever ordered. The beef was see through and looked like a cat had chewed on it. The broth was awful, 3 heads of broccoli and some noodles. Dumplings were cold, and salt and pepper chicken was dry. I thought the delivery was fast, I live 15mins away and it comes in 25mins, should have known from then. Do not waste your money on this food. A microwave meal would be better.

Make sure you're hungry when you go. It's non stop food

Had a takeaway from here 29th November and it was brilliant. Was delivered by Uber as we had some offers on there. We had a Rayman (sorry if ive spelt it wrong), a mixed platter for two, duck wraps and chip. The only thing I can complain about was the chips as they came to us cold and looked like frozen crinkle cut chips from your local shop. The rest of the food was delicious and will be using this place again

Had a lovely meal here on the 22nd November, We were a group of around 15 people and everyone mentioned how good the food tasted and how well we were looked after by the servers. Most of us had the all you can eat buffet and we never once felt rushed. The restaurant was lovely and clean and i'm sure we will all be back at some point 😊

Very expensive for the quality! Chilli salt chips had no flavour, chicken wings were frozen, badly seasoned and scimpy. For the price i expected decent quality but it was very poor!

We were particularly impressed by the Chow Mein Noodles and Dim Sum Dumplings

Big miss from Otokuda this weekend. Their ‘all you can eat’ became ‘all we can serve’ and the 8 pieces of sashimi and 10 pieces of sushi that was slowly drip fed throughout the evening made for a very expensive meal. They seemed very keen to dish out rice and fried crap though.

My favourite restaurant, we’ve been coming for years. The staff are brilliant and the atmosphere is so welcoming and uplifting. Wherever we travel we get sushi and none has compared to how fresh and tasty the sushi is here. A lot of all you can eat restaurants skimp out on the quality of food but not here!

Absolutely gutted this place used to be so good 1 young lady waitresse serving about 10 tables with beer and food poor lass was run off her feet and don’t forget uber eats coming threw the restaurant every couple of minutes with helmets and all there gear on and the food wasn’t great all say is if your wanting something nice with the misses not the place 👍👍👍

We had dinner on Thursday for my birthday and it was amazing. Service is fantastic and everyone is very nice. Customer service perfect! Atmosphere was really calm and great if you want to have a conversation. Price for the all you can eat is very good and we ordered as many times as we wanted. Desserts are not included but they are awesome 🤩 we will definitely come back soon and I think I want to try something from the a la carte menu!

Our food was only just warm by the time it got to us and we had to reheat it. A mistake on one item was credited which is fine- mistakes happen.

Tasteless rice, the all you can eat menu has poor sushi options, poorly made, it was the first and last time we went, for the price it should be better.

A little bit of Tokyo in Chesterfield. Beautiful food, very slick and efficient service. I love Japanese food and this place is up there with the best in London and Tokyo. The only down side is it's a bit of adventure to find it, Google maps useless but well worth the search!!!

This used to be our second home, the prices went too high for a while but then they put the " all you can eat" on again. So back we went!

Driver brought the wrong delivery and we got the second and final delivery over 1.5 hours after placing the order. Also the gyozas were like chicken nuggets wrapped in rice flour, do not order them, never seen anything like it.

Best place to get vegetarian sushi, and the gyoza were amazing! Saving the rest for tomorrow 😂

Was slightly a dodgy hallway to the restaurant but once you're passed that, the interiors were beautiful and very welcoming. There was an array of food to choose from. We were guided to choose the set menus for our big group and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food sent to the table. Everybody's tummies were very filled and happy by the end of the meal.

I mistakenly ordered a delivery on just eat to my work address when I live 1hr away. I rang them, the lady was really understanding and even though they’d already made the food they cancelled the order and we got refunded which is really good considering it was £40 worth of food! Will definitely order here when I’m actually in the office.

Always a great time eating here, the food is fantastic. I've only ordered from the all you can eat menu, but all dishes I've tried have been fabulous. This last time I went it was rather busy and it did feel a little like they didn't want us to keep ordering, despite purchasing the all you can eat menu. There were also a few items missed off our order a few times here and there, but we would just either not have them or re-order them and we'd get them eventually.

We recently dined at O-Tokuda and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, with staff being incredibly attentive and accommodating, especially for my Mum who uses a wheelchair. The fresh ingredients in every dish were noticeable and appreciated. The atmosphere was also great, making our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

First time here and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I got on safely. I walk with 2 sticks and couldn't do the stairs but a lovely young woman helped me around to the back door. It was an amazing experience. My youngest granddaughter will be 10 tomorrow and she had the largest platter of sushi I've ever seen. My son and daughter in law shared a starter and then had beef noodles and spider sushi between them. My fussy granddaughter had chicken rice and chips which was all she would eat. I had the most amazing Prawns katsu curry. OMG absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. I don't know if it's authentic Japanese food but it's wonderful food and plenty of it.

1st time ordering from here, delivered within 30 mins of ordering, not a good sign for me. Food was OK, a bit bland, Noodles smelled and tasted burnt even though they weren't. Not for me.

One item missing. Pot of sweet and sour sauce but no crispy pork to go with it. Also instruction to deliver to back door ignored.

The food was amazing. It tasted delicious. I got the Sashimi mix and it was great. After being used to supermarket wasabi, the one from here nearly blew my head off. I think it opened a psychic channel to my ancestors it was that strong. The soy sauce was also extra good. Along with the sashimi I had a pork ramen bowl and it was very delicious, the stock was nice and smooth.

Brought my family here as a treat for my daughter, she loves all things Asian and it did not disappoint, absolutely amazing food and such friendly staff, I have social anxiety and was so nervous about coming to new place but they put me at ease straight away, thank you for the most wonderful experience and we will definitely be back

Where can I start. Salt and chili squid was cold with pieces of burnt garlic, vegetables were bland in an msg sauce, noodle soup was so salty and odd. Duck was ok . Terrible

Although delivery was quick, the food was terrible. Ribs were nothing but cartilage, crispy beef would have broken a double glazed window if thrown at it, it was that hard and dry. Very expensive for such a poor quality. Disappointed to say the least!

Delicious food (crispy beef the best I’ve ever had!!), staff very attentive. Dishes are on the small side which I feel is good as you can always order more, but not much waste if you don’t like it.

Awful tasteless food, so bad I'm writing this whilst attempting to eat it. It all tastes of nothing, even the items that are burnt are somehow without any flavour at all, hardly any meat in the rice, gyozas are pretty much filled with playdoh and the salt and chilli prawns have never met a spice, however they have definitely met the deep fryer multiple times.

we ordered via just eat, a few seconds after pressing confirm, I realised I had put my old address not new one, we rang the restaurant straight away and they said they will contact the driver when he gets to the restaurant to collect the order. They rang us when he got to the restaurant and said he can only go to the old address or he won't get paid, so we said that's fine we will drive to our old address 5 mins down the road and meet him there. Then when we arrived at our old address the restaurant rang again and said the driver has refused to take the order now to the old address, so we said, okay shall we just come and collect the order, they said yes if we can as it's all bagged ready to go. We drove to the restaurant to collect the order and they said to us to pay them in cash and then cancel the order on just eat. I could not see how to cancel. So we have paid cash in the restaurant (they will confirm this if you contact them) and by card on just eat. I even watched the driver drive on the map to our old place and press that he had delivered it! Super cheeky!!!!! So we need a refund for the card payment as we have now paid double! it has just been an absolute hassle driving to two different places and double paying, it has put us off using just eat completely! Now just eat are refusing to refund our £70 claiming 'we cannot do anything to help' . Won't be ordering again.

Super fast delivery on a Thursday. Very nice, fresh tasting food. Thoroughly enjoyed, again. Shan’t bore with the menu we ordered or detail… it’s always been good for us from here.

We go to O-Tokuda as frequently as we can! The all you can eat menu is so varied and great value for money as you order from the menu and they bring all dishes to the table. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is consistently superb. With a vegan parent it’s worth noting there was an abundance of options for her so it’s a great spot for groups with varied diets too!

Came here for a late valentines meal with my partner,1st time we had been and we will be booking in the future. The restaurant on a whole was lovely and very busy upon our arrival. We was seated at our table,we ordered drinks from the waitress and was brought out dips and prawn crackers,we ordered a range of starters off the Buffett menu and it was all fresh and hot,all was very tasty with a good flavour. We went onto mains and ordered a range of different things off the menu,some things we’ve never tried before and now like,we went around main dishes 3 times and was happily full and content,finished of with a coffee. I would recommend this place to anyone as it was a superb night all round

Had meal in the restaurant which I really enjoyed but tonight the take away wasn't good at all , the ribs really small hardly any meat on them , salt & chilli chips were basic frozen chips and the chicken noodles were really dry, prawn sesame toast was lovely , so was the satay chicken, all in all not worth the £33 I've just spent ,won't be ordering again.

It has gone downhill drastically! Girl behind the bar is terrible. Took 35 mins for a carafe of water! She brought water marked, cloudy glasses and took offence when I asked for clean ones.

Ive visited o-tokuda many times over the years and its been amazing every time! The service is great and the staff are friendly. The restaurant vibe is great but can be a bit noisy on the weekends. The food is always delicious and comes out at a good pace, with the staff coming in good time to ask if you want any more. I’m vegan so there isn’t loads of choice, but everything I ordered was tasty. And the people who I went with are fish/meat eaters and had no complaints. Will be visiting again! *if you’re planning on parking in the roundabout car park, make sure you bring change. And make sure you don’t over pay, I payed for several hours and didn’t realise it was free after 8pm!

Absolutely beautiful food only grumble is they bring such tiny portions out at a time, but it's beautiful food all freshly cooked and piping hot and absolutely delicious. Service was a bit too slow despite them not being overly busy, and the atmosphere was very flat, unfortunately.

Don' be put off that this is down a slightly dodgy looking alley. We went here as a family to celebrate my Birthday and had the buffet, not your normal buffet the staff come round and take your order from the buffet menu and bring the plates to the table. This worked well as the staff were attentive and the food arrived quickly. We enjoyed the starters so much we never got to the main courses. I can recommend the salmon sashimi, the chicken satay and the salt and pepper King prawns.

We came in here for a spontaneous date night. We arrived at 7:30pm but was asked to come back at 8pm due to the restaurant being busy, so we did. We got seated and given some complimentary prawn crackers. I had an espresso martini as they had a cocktail menu which are £7 each or 2 for £12. We had the buffet and ordered 2-3 items each and about 3-4 rounds as we didn't want to overdo it or waste. The staff came and took our orders and asked if we wanted more food which was good. Service can be a little slow, but when the food starts coming out it is quick. The food did taste good and there was some good options. For value for money this is good and a nice option for Japanese oriental in chesterfield

We were there a couple of times. I am into seafood. The best thing for me there is fresh sushi and sashimi. They literally met in your mouth. Reccomend for visiting ❤️
