Nuvo Cuisine in Southend-on-Sea

I just wanted to say thank you for looking after me yesterday lunchtime, 7th March. I was in a group of 5 and I explained I had Coeliac disease. I was made to feel welcome and reassured that I would be catered for. You explained you could adapt anything off the menu and informed me of my dessert options. It's such a worry being Coeliac and eating out but you made the experience very easy and reassuring for me. My food was delicious and i didn't have any after effects. Thank you and i will definitely be returning.

Went for lunch, good choice of food. I had the mushroom and spinach pasta, it was lovely. We were not rushed between courses. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. A real treat with a great relaxed atmosphere - we will be going again.

First time trying Leigh Bistro for Sunday lunch, and it didn’t disappoint! We regularly visit when the “Song Doctors” band are playing, but will definitely be returning on a more regular basis from now on. For a Sunday lunch menu the choice is amazing, with plenty of options, including vegetarian, available - my wife & I both had the roast beef and it was excellent - cooked perfectly, very slightly pink, just how we like it, and the portions are just the right size! The atmosphere in the place is terrific, everyone having a great time, and the staff are extremely friendly and chatty, especially Gjovan the owner, and the prices are also very good! If you’ve not been here before I’d recommend you give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!

Leigh bistro is by far one of my all time favourite restaurants. The food is quality, the service is spectacular and the atmosphere is perfect. Thank you Gjovan once again for a perfect meal. Nothing seems too much trouble and you always have a smile on your face. I'll be back soon!

I booked Leigh Bistro for a party of 18 people just based on previous reviews. I was not disappointed. Fantastic food at reasonable prices coupled with excellent service. The place looks fantastic as well. Gjovan responded quickly by email when I wanted to change party size or find out if I could take a birthday cake in. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Last minute booking for a family group of 16 people to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. We have never been before, but it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious for meat eaters and vegetarians of the group and all members of staff were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely evening, We plan to return!

We came here on a very busy and hot Sunday in early September. There were 6 adults and a one year old celebrating my partners 60th birthday. What a fabulous time we had! There was a bit of a problem with the draft beer, so the men went on bottles. There was wine, sangria, cocktails and coke all drunk. We chose various starters including the prawn cocktail, mussels and pork all were superb. For the mains, 5 out of 6 chose steak. They all came up together and perfectly cooked, we were all delighted. A few of the party chose dessert, the chocolate fondant and sticky toffee pudding were declared delicious. Our one year old had garlic bread followed by spaghetti bolognaise which he thoroughly enjoyed. We had a fabulous afternoon. The food was sublime and the service great. Such a beautiful day with friends at Leigh Bistro. The food was amazing, atmosphere was great and we were looked after so well by Peter. Absolutely love this restaurant and I always recommend it to friends and family. Highly recommend the Brie for starter and on a Sunday, the Roast Beef is top notch. First time visiting here and we weren't disappointed! I had asparagus for starter, seabass for main and sorbet for dessert. The seabass was the best I have ever tasted and I was so impressed. I want to go back just for that dish alone!! The staff were incredible, very attentive and made sure our glasses were topped up the entire time (as a mum it was lovely having that extra attention to not have to fill my own glass!) Peter was lovely and was making sure that all of his customers were looked after and had everything that they needed. We even got a complimentary tequila rose at the end! Great food, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff! Definately will be back!!! 100% recommend!

We were fortunate to receive a ‘Buyagift’ voucher for a meal and bottle of wine and we chose the Leigh Bistro as we knew we would be able to travel to it by public transport (as we don’t drink and drive). We had never heard of this restaurant until we saw the information that accompanied the gift voucher but thought it sounded good and decided to try it – we are very glad that we did, we had a most enjoyable meal. The restaurant is conveniently located in central Leigh-on-Sea and is pleasantly decorated, comfortably furnished and everything seemed clean (including the toilets). Service was friendly and efficient and the menu has a good range of dishes. Although we were not paying as such, we noted that prices seemed reasonable. Our meals were well presented, very tasty and, in my opinion, portion size was ideal, neither too much nor too little. It seems that the restaurant is quite popular so it maybe worthwhile booking in advance if you wish to dine there. All in all, we had a most enjoyable time at the Leigh Bistro and hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future.

A little gem of a restaurant in Leigh on Sea. Went to the broadway to go to a jewellers and this came up as one of the top places for lunch and you could not go wrong! The food was insane, the lamb rump with mint mash potato followed by chocolate fondant was superb. Service was great and we can’t wait to return and try other dishes Their set menu is very good value for money.

Great little restaurant opening up onto The Broadway. Good attendance for a Tuesday night is always a good sign. Varied menu, 2 courses for £17.95 midweek. Food was delicious. Service was fine and friendly. We will return. Thank you.

Been going here for about 5 years and still going, says it all really. Food is superb. The waitress we always seem to have is so lovely always a smile and a chat asking how we are. Love the Affogatto for dessert. Great place to lunch and plenty of shops nearby. Ooh and don’t forget the delicious glass of white Zinfandel to top it off 😊
