Nu Vu in Havant

Usually a really good meal from them, but tonight the mushroom curry and chips, was way below standard. The chips where so stale, dry and hard, they had been left for a time and then reheated but not in a fryer more like microwave had to throw bag away. Mushrooms were on the slimey and tasteless. Best thing was the peas and onions with the sauce.

I’ve used this takeaway for a long time staff are friendly food is better than a lot of competitors in area but unfortunately now they won’t take card payments over phone so it’s quicker to go somewhere else, such a shame, I order food every night from all over and it becoming a cashless society.

First time eating here and I'll definitely be back, great service and lovely food. Front of house needs some TLC, we nearly didn't go in as you can see missing tiles and dirty lighting. Just needs some love, I'm not being nasty just honest. The staff are VERY friendly, this is now my favourite Chinese takeaway.

Prices have shot up portions aren’t great hardly any meat. Will be looking for new takeaway.

Worlds most expensive Chinese - I usually go from Treasure House in west Leigh - Nu Vu was disappointing with both the portion size and the fact the meals are £2 more

I ordered 2 chicken chow mains what turned up was nothing but disgusting it had no flavour just tasted like plain noddles with chicken only way to make it edible was to add whole pot of sweet and sour sauce only good thing was the sweet and sour balls and sauce just shame I had no sauce for my chicken balls. Never again 🤮

First time trying this Chinese since 2002. Chilli Chips were over cooked, loads of salt and no chilli's or onions to be seen, a little dissapointing. The chicken balls weren't greasy but two of them could of done with being fried for abit longer as they looked a little under done. Curry sauce was the best I've had in a long time along with the sweet and sour sauce. I think the establishment needs to make some adjustments to make a perfect takeaway. I do always read reviews before buying somewhere new and I wanted to try this Chinese out to see if it was as bad as what people are saying. I can't comment on other dishes but the ones I had do need more attention. As I said there is so much potential here being in a prime location of leigh park, you guys could make a killing with top quality food at affordable price.

Once again they went above beyond. The owner and his family our really welcoming. I would rather order from them than my local. Also there food tastes better than the local.

The chicken chow mien was awful. It looked like a tub of soup. 38 quid down the drain. Chicken balls was just batterd slime. Chips was pretty much a bag of mash potatoes.

The food was awful .. chow mien undercooked... pancake roll dripping with oil and raw parts . Wont be ordering again

Such a lovely Chinese, we are regular customers, the pancake rolls are always crispy the chicken balls aren't gressey and the curry sauce has flavour! The chilli chips are a must! Thank you nuvu even your customer service is lovely will always order again.

Not great, heated up yesterday chips worse I had

Very disappointed with our meal tonight. Ordered chicken fried rice and it didn't look or taste fried. Mushroom chow mein smelt greasy and tasted awful. Had to put it in the bin absolutely disgusting.

Worst take away special chow main looked undercooked an slimy,sauce was watery an taste less curry sauce tasted powdery.. like an English person is trying to cook a Chinese but not good at it 🙄

By far the worst Chinese I’ve ever had chow mien was disgusting looked and tasted under cooked the noodles were slimy the chicken was chewy. Sweet and sour sauce was like water and had no taste. Was told it was a half hour to 40 minute wait but took over an hour won’t be returning here again !

Avoid this place like Covid the worst takeaway I've ever had..Place looks dodgy and food definitely is !

Great food, good value, I swear the pancake rolls are getting bigger - they are massive, a meal in itself!

Absolute Filth! The chips tastes like they had been warmed up, the chicken chow main was appealing it looked like it hadnt been cooked and prawn balls were greasy! A complete waste of 22 pound

Ordered beef curry and egg fried rice, the beef was lovely, tender and thick chunks, also had some sweet and sour prawn balls which were nice and not greasy at all like I have had from other takeaways in the past. Love the salt and chilli chips, the best I've had anywhere else, the chow mein was quite bland, the only let down was the sweet and sour sauce which has a strong vinegar type taste to it and really thick and jelly like. Enjoyed our meal and will order again

Beef curry was very tasty... Pieces of beef were a bit large but overall very good😊

Use to be the best curry shop near me but since new people have taken over it's gone down hill.

Tasteless food barely ate any of our meal. Sweet and sour sauce was vile looked like jelly not sauce. What I did eat made me feel proper ill.. Never again 😢

Been using you for over 7 years. Do not appreciate my card details being read out across the shop repeatly with people in the shop and could not take an order!!! Make sure your staff are trained! I will not be back!!

They've changed the chips it's like a poor man's chip shop style but they are all manky and taste like feet. If you wonder what I mean by that go and try them...Awful In fact I would say new owners possible as the usual lady wasn't in and have been seeing a young lad in there a few months. Really gone down hill

I have ordered my food from there once, JustEat passed my phone number to them, and since then they keep spamming me with their text messages about they new sites. Can't block the number, can't reply. Can't unsubscribe. Will complain to JustEat about it.

Used to be the best Chinese in the area by a long way, but has gone massively down hill. We used them all the time but won't be going back, avoid now at all costs. Poor standard of food it's a shame!!!

Would have given a 5* review before as this is the only Chinese in the area that would happily cook the outside of the pancake roll for me which was perfect! Now they will no longer will do this because it's too difficult apparently. Well seeing as that was the only reason I loved them, they were so unique and happy to please everyone. I now have nothing to rate on and won't be ordering again!

They delivered every thing we ask for and it's still warm.

Ordered prawn chow mein and got spaghetti and prawns, not the nicest of meals, would avoid if possible x

Sometimes the food is good and sometimes its bad, never consistent due to different chefs in the kitchen, but ok.

Love the food here, best Chinese in the area and 5 on the council food hygiene, so all good
