NST Chicken in Basingstoke and Deane

Only Greggs out of the three in Basingstoke to have a piping hot sassauge and bean melt. Not a single thing I could possible complain about. Flaky and delightful only regret is not buying another

Been coming here a while now but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning anymore. I’m convinced the chips in the evening are left over from when the shop is open at lunchtime. They’re definitely not cooked fresh. Always hard, dry and very dark in colour. The batter on the fish is soggy so also very disappointing. It’s a real shame as its the only proper fish & chip shop in Tadley and they could do really well if they up’d their game! A lot of the other reviews are similar so I hope they take note and will be happy to try again in the future if things change.

First and last time I order. The mix kebab was so spicy I had to throw it in the bin. Late delivery and overall just poor. Ordered kebab with chips and no chips.

We visited the garden centre and decided to have a lunch here. I had the fish & chips, my wife had the lasagne and my granddaughter had the children’s chicken nuggets and chips. All three dishes were enormous and we all agreed that they were very tasty, even my granddaughter which is unusual. She also had one of the appetising looking ice creams which she also enjoyed. Staff were very pleasant and service prompt. Would be happy to visit again.

Someone I know was spiked last weekend and the workers acted like it’s a regular thing. Keep an eye on your drinks or anyone who might be getting too close. Also make sure you look out for each other. You shouldn’t have too but Plush seem to let this sort of thing happen without a care in the world.
