The staff in this Costa are always so very friendly. They engage with their customers and chat and seem to know their regulars as well. Bravo.

Outside area grubby, dirty and worn out table and chairs, totally rusting out outdoor furniture and parasols not out and have been broken for over 2 years, never get fixed or renewed

Lovely staff that make superb coffee and are very welcome. Shame the chairs are so dirty. Costa needs to support the great staff to make this a 5 star coffee spot and get the chairs cleaned or renewed

Wonderful staff and the usual Costa fare, which I enjoy. The only issue is the parking situation. Thirty minutes is too short a time to enjoy a coffee and toasty.

Busy, so quite slow service. Be careful of the carparking outside, it is only for 30 minutes, I got a £60 fine for being there 40 minutes!

Probably the best Costa in Basingstoke, even when really busy the staff do a fantastic job.

Had coffee and food here a few times. No complaints, can get busy. If you're new visiting her don't park directly in front of the coffee shop as it is only for 30 mins, people have been fined for overstaying the parking limit. Park in the main parking area opposite wrens, the food warehouse and Currys.

Avoid at all cost. I took my mum and my son who is 6, disabled and hasto Costa coffee as he wanted a sandwich and a cake before we went to Aldi in the same retail park. We parked in a disabled bay in the small area of car park next to Costa coffee. We each had a sandwich, cake and drink. Then my son needed the toilet which as you can imagine takes a little longer with a disability. We then moved out car out of the small car park which was marked with a 30min max stay to another blue badge space next to Aldi (the rest of the car park is supposedly free) to do our food shop. however we received a parking fine for being in the car park 44mins. After 2 appeals I've still been rejected and being made to pay the fine despite the fact I wasn't in the "short stay" car park for long and had moved my car to the shopping car park. Really disappointed and at a loss of who to contest it with now. These eateries will loose custom.

The newest Costa Coffee has good and is clean just be careful with the car park just outside, it is a trap with a fine for over staying more than 30 min.

This is our local Costa, which we've been using regularly for quite a few years now. In that time we have always found the place to be clean and tidy and with efficient service. Despite a few changes in staff, they are always friendly without being over-familiar and seem to get on well with each other - unlike some other coffee shops. It's always a pleasure to visit this particular Costa .

I did not buy food, I enjoy a white Americano, the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Busy Costa, service prompt and efficient. But why is there such a frequency of loos out of service in Costas generally?

Staff are friendly and I believe their is a book area for you to swap a book which a a good way to reuse and recycle. Ordered a coffee and a small hot chocolate, quite nice.

Went to see Cinderella on Boxing Day. We had a brilliant time.

Be very aware about the parking outside Costa. Greggs and Nando’s in the St Michaels Retail Park. Usually disabled parking is free, but not at that place. We did not see any really clear signs and due to the postal strike my fine has only just arrived, and my daughter parked there yesterday when she took me to Nando’s. Now we are expecting her to get a fine. Not going there again so the park has lost revenue.

Great staff and service! The Manager Sonya is excellent, as is Harry. Can get really busy at peak times but mine is always a take out! In terms of the car park - hilarious and unfair comments as it has absolutely nothing to do with Costa, is a completely separate company that owns and runs it and serves several shops and eateries. There are massive signs up near the parking bays saying 30mins wait only otherwise you will be fined!! The main St. Michael’s Retail car park is free!

Popped in for early morning coffee & bite to eat. Tried the new vegan bbq chick'n was good however i am a meat eater but can't have milk so having vegan options is good for me. Good service.

BEEARE THE PARKING TRAP!!! The car park immediately outside the shop has a thirty minute limit an when busy you might easily use all of this just parking/ordering and getting your drinks. The ANPR camera gets you the second you enter the car park so before your wheels stop turning that CLOCK IS ALREADY RUNNING! £40 a cup is a bit steep! Costa complaints dept don’t give a stuff either. Costa National have lost my business for a looong time BUT DEFINITELY AVOID THIS BRANCH and it’s trap… Ps the main car park is free outside PCWorld which SPECIFICALLY REVEALS THIS AS A DELIBERATE TRAP by the car park firm and the land owner, Costa remains complicit by remaining party to this nasty piece of money grabbing.

A perfectly lovely store with the downside that the car park outside will charge you £70 if you stay longer than 30 minutes! I can see many others have had the same issue, so obviously the signage is lacking.

Visit this store on many occasions, on Thursday 18/11/2021 @ 10.15 even that this is always an ongoing problem, to find the store packed with customers with at least 8/9 customers waiting for a table, my complaint is that 6 tables were being used by people using laptops, 3 of these had other companies drinks from Greggs & McDonalds that is a very short walk and the remainder drinking from their own water bottles and not a sign of anything being purchased from this store I find this totally unacceptable, staff says the company policy is that their not allowed to ask people to leave. Many customers left the store without any purchase, like myself who went elsewhere. Come on Costa sort this problem out!

Perfectly lovely coffee, service , friendly staff, decent and clean toilet. As a disabled blue badge user I parked in a disabled bay to enjoy a long-awaited coffee catch-up with a friend. I've just been STUNG for £40 for parking! If Costa have a warning sign on their door I didn't see jt, mainly because the door was held open and I was manoeuvring my walker! So, I'll pay but all BEWARE and Costa please advise all your customers verbally and with better signage. Needless to say I probably won't be going again.

A warm welcome a waits you, all staff are really nice no matter how busy they are, the service is 5 stars from me. The shop front is very clean and I felt safe as there are hand sanitizer stations throughout, tables and chairs are cleaned each time they are used. Drinks and food Especially the cakes are amazing I must admit that I have been here over 50 times and I have never Experienced a bad time I must say be Prepared to wait a short time for a table this is not there fault and is out of their control due to Distancing the tables under covid Restrictions

After meeting my sister for a coffee. Queuing because of the new COVID system then finally finding a table. We were there for 50 mins then got a £60 absolutely disgusted! No clear signage! Will never visit again!

Always spot on service, clean, and efficient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Also, helpful that you can pre-order to collect so that you are limiting your time in the shop.

Pity the large retailers & service providers find the operations of the car park provider acceptable for their customers. As already pointed out the inadequate signage & 30 mins window shows a strategic intent to generate revenues from unsuspecting customers. It’s disappointing the retailers have allowed this to happen, and COSTA you are one of them

I had arranged to meet a friend for a coffee at Costa, St Michael's Retail Park on Friday night. Website says they close at 10pm, so we arranged to meet at 8pm. Very disappointed to find they close a 8pm but advertise the wrong time...
