Lovely place great Sunday dinner and nice pint of trad Revisited recently not impressed beer and cider prices have rocketed and I understand kitchen being done out so imagine food prices will rocket too, not as welcoming as before 😢

Wouldn't take a food order 1 min before food service stopped. I don't think the owners would be happy to know you're turning away customers within service hours because you want an easy shift.

A great pub in a lovely location. They were slightly overwhelmed with the number of people arriving after leaving the rugby so service was quite slow. Unfortunately the summer weather had caused a rush of punters so they had run out of a lot of beers so the choices were a bit limited. The curse of success!

Lovely olde worlde pub with lots of charm located on the harbourside. We attended for drinks only. The pub is advertised as being dog friendly, but unfortunately we relieved some verbal attitude from a loud barmaid (Schmorgia), who was less than hospitable to our dog upon arrival. It’s disappointing.

Probably would have given a 4 star rating but we wasn’t afforded the warmest of welcomes. Having previously used this pub when visiting Bristol City we decided to use it before our visit to Bristol Rovers yesterday. On arrival the pub looked closed and as we parked up our mini bus the landlord appeared to show us the open door tucked away at the end of the pub. On entering he asked what we was doing here and we said for the football to which he said he didn’t realise a game was on and wasn’t expecting us. Gave the impression that having customers other then locals was a bit of an inconvenience. After getting the drinks in 8-10 of our group of 16 decided to eat and again this was met with a bizarre reaction with the landlord seemingly worried about running out of bread. Kind of felt sorry for the barmaid as she was having to witness this strange attitude from her manager and in fairness she apologised for his behaviour. Surely as a pub you would expect & want customers and be geared up to serve more then 10 people especially just an hour into the day?!? That said it’s a lovely traditional pub on the inside with a bit of an old school feel, clearly a popular choice for those visiting the harbour area. The ales that were on were all in fantastic condition with everything reasonably priced too. The food was lovely and although not the biggest of menus there is enough to choose from. I would probably have made this a regular when visiting for future matches but going to struggle to do that now which isn’t a reflection on the actual pub itself but more the uncomfortable stay we had as we felt like we shouldn’t have been there!

I occasionally pop in for a pint as it's a convenient stop when walking around the harbour. The beer choice is a bit disappointing but staff are usually friendly and it's a cosy little pub that always feels welcoming. Prices about average for the area. Picnic benches outside are in a nice position overlooking the harbour when it's warm enough to sit outside.
