We had such a lovely experience at Notes Canary Wharf thanks to our amazing waitress, Quinn. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout our visit. Despite how busy it was, she made us feel so welcomed and never rushed. It’s rare to come across someone so genuine and professional at the same time. Big thanks to Quinn for making our day — we’ll definitely be back because of her!

Service charge added to the bill even though I picked up the coffee

Coffee was nice enough, but £5 for a tiny latte is just too expensive. Have to pay service charge even if just having a coffee. Really loud dance music playing even at 7:30am so not calm atmosphere at all.

Superb team and 10/10 coffee in CW ! No idea why such low scores - we have a cappuccino and usually a banana and a slice of banana bread to share - other food we have never tried so can only comment on coffee and snack as above - so grateful to have this shop in the area.

Every time I visit the Kiosk - Notes Coffee at Canary Wharf, it feels like a little escape in the middle of the city rush. The coffee is always top-notch — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed, just the way specialty coffee should be. The vibe at the kiosk is warm and inviting, and it’s become my go-to spot for a mid-day pick-me-up or a relaxing moment. What truly sets this place apart, though, is Romano, the heart and soul of the kiosk. He’s the responsible for the kiosk. His energy is infectious — always greeting you with a genuine smile, positive vibes, and the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. His passion for what he does shines through in every cup and every conversation. It’s rare to find such a combination of excellent coffee and truly exceptional service. Romano makes Notes Coffee more than just a café — he makes it a place you want to come back to, again and again. Highly recommended for both the coffee and the experience. ☕✨

Coffee and cakes were nice and service friendly but over £10 for a hot drink and cake is overpriced even for canary wharf.

Convenient location with a nice atmosphere and good vibe. We visited for a Saturday brunch and were pleasantly surprised. The place was quite busy, so we were seated at the high chairs—not the most comfortable, but at least there was a place to hang our bags. The tables are quite close together, which makes the space feel a bit cramped. Service was quick and helpful, and the menu had some interesting options. The food was delicious, though the portions were a bit smaller than expected. Overall, a pleasant experience—great for a casual brunch, but be prepared for a lively and slightly tight space!

Coffee is good. But I find it very weird that they charge a 12.5% service charge for having a coffee in store, given that the price for the coffee in store is already some 13% higher than take away. Doesn’t the have-in price not already reflect the service and seat in store? Not my first time here， but first time in any coffee shop to be charged a service charge on top of have-in price. Is Notes quite desperate, or is it just this one?

Tea was good, avocado, halloumi toast - small portion size - and was not sure about the avo taste - don’t recommend. Appeared to have only one server for the whole cafe, as a result, always an effort to get his attention. Overall it was ok.

Visited during the morning to pick up a coffee on my way to the office. Staff here seem very miserable, as if they was a nuisance to serve me. Honestly, the coffee was really not worth it. Everything from the temperature to the taste, the most bog standard coffee you can get. High street chains like Costa serve better tasting coffee. Atmosphere was nice though so have given a 2 star otherwise it would be a 0

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was vibrant. While it may not be ideal for working, it’s a great spot for gathering with friends!

It was a very busy Sunday brunch, but I still received a great service from Arthur. The coffee was very good, and they actually have a good variety of coffee beans. The smashed avo and halloumi was also very nice. I recommend it, and I will definitely be back.

Brunch on Saturday. 4 of us arrived, not many seats. A member of staff indicated a table may come free soon. We stood and chatted and it did. Coffee amazing, food was nice, nice atmosphere, lots of chatting going on. We happy we found it

Excellent coffee! Great table service, the staff are wonderful, smiling and happy. I love this place. The best in Canary, not too noisy. Comfortable seating. The most civilised place for coffee.

My iced latte had steamed milk for some reason, so the ice melted instantly. The coffee didn't have good flavor. (Also, no option for simple syrup, only granulated sugar for my iced coffee) The breakfast was a small portion, and was clearly reheated (poorly). The poached egg was not runny (and very clearly not poached). There was a 12.5% service fee that caught me by surprise (tiny font on the corner of the menu apparently), especially since the only service was waiting too long for our server to take our order.

Canary Wharf Crossrail Went into Notes Crossrail last Saturday at 15.00pm received zero customer service watched the manager and the 3 staff members act as if they were sooo busy they couldn’t have eye contact or even reassurance me that they will at some point speak with me… I watched from the counter for 5 mins the staff pretending so I and my girlfriend left

Romano Coffee Booth is hands down the best barista I've ever had! Every cup is made with such care and precision, and the quality is always top-notch. Romano has an amazing ability to remember every customer's preferences, making each visit feel personal and special. Not only is the coffee fantastic, but the friendly, welcoming atmosphere makes it a pleasure to stop by every time. Highly recommend – Romano is truly a coffee artist!

Nice location to sit. I wish they had more space. Super expensive coffee for the amount they're serving. Also: service charge added on the prices displayed. So what you see is not what you pay.

12.5% service charge on just 2 coffees is greedy. Won’t be back, not something that’s enforced at other operators who also sell great coffee nearby. Coffee also not very warm and served in small glass tea light holders.

A very average place in general, but the reason why that mediocrity inspired me to write a one star review was.... The wifi is limited to 45 minutes, after filling out forms that ask for a lot of data, and use manipulative dark patterns to get you to sign up for marketing. You have more wifi as a non-customer on most cloud systems. It feels designed to be hostile, unwelcoming, and punitive - so therefore my review will be the same. I am not one to sit in a cafe all day with one coffee on my laptop, but 45 minutes for a paying customer is just unfriendly, money-grabbing, and unwelcoming.

Left my sunglasses in the middle of the plates and the staff said they didn’t see it. Wouldn’t they see it when they clean table? So the customer after me who picked the dirty table, took my sunglasses and asked the staff to clean? The cheese I dropped was even there when I went back lol

Maybe I was lucky given some of the reviews but I had a good experience. I went by on a Saturday afternoon. Nice brunch menu of classics but also some 'different' dishes. It was the jalapeño cornbread that caught my eye and glad I stopped. I ordered this and a long black coffee. Really good. The coffee was perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect with my food but I received a well presented cornbread muffin with a poached egg and sweetcorn salsa. Delicious. Spicy, light, yet very filling and felt healthy too. Lovely. Service was good. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Nice branch located on Crossrail Place in Canary Wharf. Wasn't cheap but worth a Saturday brunch treat.

The loveliest people and delicious coffee! I had the pleasure of being served by Echo, Connor and Pooja today! I'd also like to mention Storm and Romano (from Crossrail Kiosk) They are the reason I look forward to having my coffees ❤️ new favourite spot for reading and relaxing!!!

Don’t get coffee from the outside version (maybe inside too?). Either the coffee machine doesn’t work properly or they don’t make it properly as it tasted like dirty boiling water.

I go to the notes kiosk at crossrail place religiously, but for one reason and that is because of Romano. Romano is always smiling and happy, provides great service - plus great coffee. He is the highlight of my day. Would give 6/5 stars if I could.

I recently visited this coffee shop and had the pleasure of being served by Echo. From the moment I walked in, her warm and friendly demeanour made me feel right at home!! Highly recommend!

Ordered a coffee and was told that it would be brought to my table. Sat down, waited for ten minutes and then went back to the counter to find out where it was. The barista told me that he hadn't been asked to make it but said he'd make it "now". I told the woman who'd taken my order that the barista hadn't been aware of it. She apologised. I sat back down and the woman who took my order came over... to ask what I wanted to order! I explained that I'd already ordered and she laughed and went back in. Another ten minutes passed and still no coffee. I went back to the counter and got a refund. I asked the woman what had happened, and she laughed and said she didn't know, "big mistake". No apology. The whole thing was really bizarre. Never has making a cup of coffee been so troublesome!

Bad tasting coffee (tastes like sour cream), which is a ‘Notes’ thing, not only in this cafe. Went there for brunch. Overly priced, bad quality of food, not tasty and small amounts. Bread is unfresh and too buttery, poached eggs are too tiny and half baked. How can such simple food be so complicated to make? Long waiting for the table to be cleaned after the previous guests, long wait for the water to be brought, long wait overall. Some guests were also waiting for a while and finally just left. Their tables weren’t even cleaned from the previous guests… After making an order, 10mins later we were told that what we ordered was unavailable. Was there twice and both times were bad. I don’t think this is a coincidence.

I had the pleasure of entering this establishment and had coffee with a friend. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The staff was so good that I was meant to be there for 15 minutes but we stayed for 45 minutes. I'll certainly go back to notes and if you're in the canary wharf and you're thirsty go to Notes 😊

Very disappointed with the stuff on the outside version of Notes see pictures and the service. I ordered a double espresso and as everyone on the planet knows a double espresso is 70-80ml and a single 30-40ml i got a small shot cup with less than 10 ml see pictures for 3.60£. I don't recommend this place as it is obviously a scam. I'm very disappointed with the staff, as i pointed out that there's an issue with the coffee machine he was disrespectful saying ok and smiled ironically.

I had coffee and a slice of cake. They serve standard high street coffee shop food and drinks which are nothing special. I resent paying a 12.5% service charge when I ordered at the counter and then had to go up to the counter to pay. If “service” means dumping a slice of cake on the table and bringing the coffee 10 minutes later when I reminded the guy I was still waiting, then this place has it nailed.

The place was okay, I discovered a day later that they charged me twice for my food and drink. I have tried many ways to contact the business all of which so far have failed. So BEWARE as they don't seem to be interested in customer

Recent Improvement at Notes (with Room for Growth on Coffee) I had a rough experience at Notes in the past (slow service, inattentive staff), but I recently decided to give them another shot. I'm happy to report a significant improvement! A friendly manager (possibly Italian?) helped out a new waitress and provided excellent service. He even apologized for the wait and offered a menu, a stark contrast to my previous experience. I visited twice for wine and snacks, and both times the manager impressed me with his extensive wine knowledge. He expertly guided customers towards the perfect selections. The white wines were fantastic! However, the coffee wasn't quite there. For the price (especially considering the service charge), the quality wasn't up to par. WatchHouse nearby offers a better cup for a better price. On the other hand, the service during my coffee visit was phenomenal (thanks Paige!). The Spinach & Feta Parcels were a delightful surprise! Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside – just perfect. The flavor profile was excellent, with a great balance of textures and tastes. These would pair wonderfully with a glass of white wine, and I highly recommend trying them. Overall, Notes seems to be under new management, and the service has drastically improved. While the coffee needs some work, everything else was fantastic. I'll definitely be back for the Spinach & Feta Parcels and the great wine selection, but I might wait to see if the coffee improves before ordering it again.

Lovely place, really nice chai latte, reasonable prices and super friendly staff! Big highlights to waitress Paige - she is absolutely friendly, kind and a proper 5 stars professional. Paige’s good energy has made me and my partner always come back for a coffee and some snacks. She’s undoubtedly THE BEST waitress we’ve ever met in London! 🙌🏽

A disaster. I bought a chai latte, sat down, opened my laptop and they came to tell me, it being 5:23 p.m. and having a girl next to me using the computer, that after 5:00 p.m. you can't use the laptop. On top of that, the whole place is dirty and poorly attended. I asked for a refund and if I didn't realize it and complained, they would give me back less money than what I paid, claiming that they were confused with the "service" AWESOME

We had drinks there, the hot food and hot drinks section were closed for the evening and we missed out, next time. Lovely place, friendly and polite.

Decent coffee. But by god the service is so slow. Zero urgency from the staff. Sorry to say but they can be very dopey. Given most of their demand in wharf will be office wrkers. Its kinda weird.

Most of the staff are very friendly and I go here often. The one exception sadly being an Italian girl who stays behind the counter making coffees scowling and is pretty rude / has a bad attitude more than once - sometimes pretending she doesn’t see customers waiting so she doesn’t need to serve, sometimes just rude to them generally. She lets the rest of the team down. They also seem to serve food and breakfast etc depending on when staff are at work. If you’re a cafe that advertises food on the menu as all day, you can’t then pick and choose when / if you serve it depending on who’s on the shift that day.

Sat down and wasn’t served, watched everyone who came in after me being served. Went up to the bar and explained I needed to order (I actually apologised for coming up and ruining the table service) and the guy seemed inconvenienced by this and didn’t apologise for anyone not serving me/impatiently taking the order. 30mins after arriving I got my coffee. Then when I got my food I had to ask again politely for cutlery - when I did it was again met with no apology or pleasantries and I found myself apologising for having to ask. It’s a bit disappointing to made to feel like an inconvenience. Things happen and get missed, I’ve worked in cafes myself but I think a bit of civility or friendliness can make up for a lot! Second coffee order took 20 mins, first server forget it, then came without hot milk ordered, reordered the hot milk and then got cold milk. It’s a shame as the location is great, the layout is lovely and the food was ok. The service was just really unfriendly and seemed inconsistent depending on who you were.

Music far too loud. Asked for it to be turned down and they refused. Impossible to have a chat . Never going there again.

Went today 9th March 24 around 11.30am -12.30pm with my friend at Notes Canary Wharf crossrail . Paige served us and she was incredibly nice , professional, friendly and extremely helpful. She definitely made our day ! We need more people like her ! X Thank you Paige xx you are making a huge difference <3 I hope your effort there is recognised.

The oven and coffee machine always have problems. And when I wanted to make sure they are working fine before going there, they never pick up the phone When you sit in, the service is so slow and they don’t like it when you go to counter to order

On my visit service was good got seen and seated straight away. Was quite busy too. I ordered an oat cortado (was on the expensive side) £4.50. Coffee was good, did enjoy it… but not sure worth the price. Nevertheless the service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was nice, good vibes, plenty of seating area.

It’s a favourite location, I go there very often. A nice comfortable atmosphere whether it is cold, rainy outside or a nice beautiful weather. Breakfast is tasty, and reasonably priced. Hot drinks are very well prepared. Matcha latte with non dairy milk is perhaps the best I have tried ever. Service is very good. Feels almost like home. Most waiters are exceptional, I want to mention Ash, who is always good tempered , very patient, attentive to your orders. I always receive a type of service that makes the customer feel that they are welcome, and their order matters. Not because he has to do it, but because he is humanly happy to be hospitable. That makes a huge difference. I think these type of waiters need to be retained at all costs by the restaurant management.

Good coffee but service always very slow

This restaurant commits war crimes against gastronomy - behaving more like a low-end American diner than an up-market London cafe. The food is frankly abysmal. Lonely egg & bacon sandwiches marketed as "brunch" at the kind of lofty prices that would be expected at The Ivy restaurant nearby. The execution of the food was significantly worse than an aeroplane meal - cold toast, rubberised fried egg and an unseasoned dollop of tomatoes and rocket. The reason given for the fossilised consistency of the fried egg was that the eggs are "pre-cooked" at Notes - which is simply unacceptable at any brunch establishment in London. The mugs have grime in the handle. The hot chocolate was full of unmelted chocolate debris. Will not be returning.

Highly recommend ’goat cheese, walnuts and honey on toast’ ✨It is Delicious!! The service is very good and the atmosphere is very cozy and calming. The owner/manager was very kind to even share the recipe with me! This is going in my favourite breakfast/brunch list!

Top-notch coffee bar! I believe Canary Wharf is a fantastic location. I was there with my girlfriend for a nice brunch, and Nicola treated us very well. Amazing recommendations with croquettes, bruschetta, and the glasses of Picpoul were fantastic. We will definitely come back next week!!

My husband and I popped in to grab drinks and a pastry. We ordered a chai tea latte, a latte and a cinnamon bun. While the drinks were good, the cinnamon bun wasn't that great. The cinnamon bun tasted ok but the texture was the main let down. Although it looked like it had good lamination, it was far from flaky and tasted as if it was left overnight.

I’m in holidays to London and I was in Canary Warf and I been to notes for aperitif and I very like. The Place is very nice with Christmas atmosfere. The staff was very friendly, the waiter Nicola was nice and very friendly with us. I Will come back when I will be again in London.☺️

Where do I start...??? This place Is amazing, I normally come in the evening, and see Nikko, Neringa and Ivaaaa. The staff here are amazing. They are what make this place so amazing, hard working and friendly with customers. The food cooked by Iva today OMG!! WAS AMAZING!!!. I ordered a cappuccino .. it was not good in my opinion.. but what made me add a comment is that they don’t allow customers to use Laptops after 5pm .. what??? Won’t visit it again for sure .. just to let you all know no laptops after 5pm 🙄

I’ve been visiting Notes for my Sunday morning coffee for a while now. Service although friendly is slow. The coffee isn’t great. And I dare not order food - take a look at the chaotic prep area and you might feel the same. The atmosphere is nice, with a good vibe. The location is good too. Also it’s towards the expensive end for coffee and they still charge extra for Oat milk 😠

It's a great place to meet up. They have a great variation of beverages, coffee to matcha, mocha, teas and alcoholic drinks. They have pancake options of fruits or bacon. They also have a section for breakfast, salad and bar snacks.
