Cafe is part of the Priory Museum. Only called in as it was a free day as part of Heritage Week. Having said that what a great day out. The cafe was well attended which gives you some idea of the standard. It is only a cafe so cannot expect a big variety of food but what was on offer was good. The staff were very helpful and I noted it had five star rating for cleanliness. Museum well worth a visit. Walled garden has also got a small outdoor tea room which is worth a visit

Ordered a doorstop sandwich and it was a thin piece of sliced bread. Beef sandwich was dry and very uninteresting. Would have been embarrassed serving it at home to my children!!!! Scone was rock hard. Definitely not worth the £10 paid

Didn't pay the 6.70 to go into the museum, but went for a walk around the woodland. It was lovely to walk through the woods without dodging crowds of people. Lovely and peaceful. Had coffee and cake in the little cafe, which was nice and reasonably priced.

Surprisingly good & lovely environment. Helpful staff. Not to be confused with another small cafe in Norton grounds. It feels as if it's being developed. The menu wasn't on-line anywhere when we went mid May But we were assured that it would be very soon.

By the time we arrived for lunch - approx. 1 p.m. they had sold out of some items on the menu including jacket potatoes and sandwiches we had to settle for were not very interesting. The staff were delightful and tried their best to be helpful but, in fact, they were overwhelmed. I can only hope that, in the coming weeks they will be able to improve their system of stock control and work flow.

We decided to got to the newly refurbished Priory and museum today, Lesley at the front desk was so lovely and inviting telling us what we needed to know to get around. The buildings and gardens are all well kept, the wall garden was a delight to walk around with a little cafe next to it and a gift shop. There is some building work being done but it does not get in your way.The homemade ice cream was lovely bought at cafe next to wall gardens, we had lunch in the cafe in the main museum building, food was excellent and good portions all freshly made, service was also very good. There is plenty to see and do, with a few interactive things for the younger ones, on the whole for the price this is a lovely place to visit on a day out.

We took our dog for a walk around the walled garden of Norton Priory, and decided to complete the walk with a cup of tea. Then I saw the cake!! Clearly homemade, and absolutely gorgeous. Much to my delight, we were informed that they are made by people with physical problems, and people with learning disabilities help there also. What a brilliant concept, with truly first class results!! Oh and I forgot to mention the price, tea or coffee plus a cake, for less than most coffee chains charge for their product. Thank you, you'll be seeing us regularly from now on. Follow the signs to the walled gardens to find this little gem, sitting in the open air in the courtyard, stunning.

We had a lovely picnic in the meadow and enjoy walking our dogs in the grounds. (Dogs not allowed in walled garden). Ruins are picturesque and there is lots of space and things to see for small people. We visit regularly and always enjoy somethng new - bluebells in the orchard, knee high buttercups in the meadow, activities in the crypt. Visit it - you won't be disappointed.

We have visited Liverpool to see relatives on many occasions but had never been to Norton Priory before. .we were not disappointed. Decided to to have the daily special which turned out to be Scouse. Heard about it before but never had it. It was superb, just melted in the mouth. The friendly and polite staff made us feel very welcome. The place was spotless and we had a very enjoyable meal in wonderful surroundings. Also visited the micro brewer, the Ice cream parlour and the Museum and gardens. Had a truly memorable day. The whole place is a credit to the people who work there. Will certainly go again on our next trip up north.P.S. The Beer weren't bad either.

Norton Priory is only on my doorstep and I think its often overlooked as an attraction. You get a sense of serenity here, good to be able to see so much of our past. Great day out for kids as a history lesson. Great for adults also with their walled gardens and great walks around the priory. The cafe is lovely, great home made food and the staff are sweet, Very good value and worth a visit after a trip around the priory.

I've been raving about this place. Wasn't intending to come here. It was just happenstance and now I'm dying to go back. The warm welcome, the smiling, friendly waiter, the interior and best of all, THE FOOD! Oh my God! We both had the chicken chorizo and it was by far the most enjoyable meal I've bought in such a long time. Every aspect of the meal was delicious: the home made coleslaw;the home made relish;the lettuce was so fresh; the sweet potatoe fries; the sour cream; the sweet chilli jam;the chicken and chorizo and it all came together in a glorious frenzy to tingle and delight your taste buds. A masterpiece. Okay, okay, but near enough. I nearly wept. I had the cherry bakewell blondie for dessert. I didn't think you could possibly get two equally fantastic courses but you can at this place! Another exquisite treat which, again, was homemade with such care and expertise. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
