Northgate Indian in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Food was awful. My food came within 3 minutes of ordering. I got home, served up the meal. The meat was very chewy and dry. I phoned to let you know, not looking for a free meal, and you hung up the phone. It is not good treatment 😕 on your side

We went to Northgate Indian restaurant with modest expectations but were blown away by the quality of the food. All freshly cooked food, great on flavour served by friendly staff. I was really surprised that Hunstanton would be so well served, and coming from Leicester that says something.

Been here a few times when visiting Hunstanton. Always friendly staff. Food is tasty and can’t wait to try more on the menu. Will visit again.

An amazing visit!! Food was fantastic…hospitality wonderful, prompt service and with a smile, each dish was sizzling hot and full of flavour the meat fell apart, the popadoms and dips were fresh and tasty we loved the yogurt and mint! wine was middle of the road but easy drinking. Thanks guys 👍👍

This was a lucky find. The reviews were good but the food, ambience and service exceeded expectation. We brought the children who were made to feel very welcome and had some good menu recommendations. The highlights were the thoughtful presentation, the children’s puddings and the hot towels. Went here for dinner with my husband on a Thursday evening. On first impression the restaurant was busy, which on a weekday evening is always a good sign. Food arrived quickly and was too a high standard, we both enjoyed our food. We took a takeaway back for my 14 year old son who also really enjoyed his food. Would recommend.

Had a lovely meal here last night - starter and main course each with pickle/chutney tray, poppadoms and drinks. Staff were lovely, very welcoming and attentive. Our meals were lovely and very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant and will visit again when we are next in Hunstanton.

We booked a birthday celebration dinner for my husband as we were visiting Hunstanton and heard that this restaurant was ' the best ' Very nice decor and friendly welcoming staff. But my main meal of Lamb Acaria was so tough that I had to ask the Waiter to please bring me a tender portion. This they did with pleasure, explaining that the meat was cooked Tandoori style and this dries the meat out !! ( well, if this is the case, don't cook it that way) and although it was 100% better, most of this second plate, was still tough - tasty but tough. My husband ordered prawn Bona and the prawns were also tough - cooked far too long. Unfortunately, not a very enjoyable meal. Thanks - Mrs Gough

Very good Indian restaurant, very busy when we went there for a Sat night dinner. Staff were fast and efficient. The food was excellent and good portions all served warm. Never been disappointed either sit in or takeaway on previous occasions.

We visited as a family of four. Food and service were excellent. Howard and Ali did a great job, including replacing my wife’s meal (at no cost) when it wasn’t what she expected. They were happy to explain everything on the menu. Prices were very reasonable, we would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food we always dine there when we are in Hunstanton. Very reasonably priced too! It is easily accessible and a short walk from most B&B's, guest houses

On a previous visit to Norfolk this restaurant had been described to us as, you know, just an average Indian! We hadn’t booked but got a nice table, the server Howard was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the food very much and there was plenty of meat in the dishes. The Peshwari Nan was great. The price was reasonable for what we had and we would definitely go again. We parked just round the corner on the street.

We enjoyed a great meal, with a lovely friendly service. Will definitely be going back. A special find amongst the fish and chips.

Living in Leicester we are spoilt for choice regarding Indian food but thought we would try this place out and glad we did. Couldn't fault the food which was quick to come out. We'll priced with a bottle of wine. If we were to stay in Hunstanston again would defo be tempted

Our favourite restaurant in Hunstanton. Great Indian food, lovely friendly knowledgeable staff who all appear happy, very important from a customer point of view. Warm welcome on our arrival. Good selection of drinks from the bar. We went for the tandoori chicken and tandoori mixed grill both were excellent. Lamb tikka stater also great. Attentive service without being intrusive, just the right balance.

Tried this indian restarant while on a short break in Hunstanton. We were an early walk in table, it soon started to get busy. Had poppadoms and the sauces to start, then I had the lamb samosas, the wife onion bhajis which she said were very nice and not at all doughy. Pilau rice and curry each which were good. 4 star as we just felt a bit rushed as if wanted us in and out quickly.

The service was good and the food was exceptional. The staff are always polite in Indian Restaurants but the staff here were very friendly.

We had an excellent meal here. The place is packed every night, so we had to book to get in. Every dish is gluten free as they apparently don't use flour. The main dishes were full of flavour and portions were generous. One of the best indians we've had. Recommended

Delicious food, the only criticism was that the service was too quick. The starters arrived before we finished the poppadoms (no big deal). But then the mains were delivered within minutes of the starters being cleared. I would have preferred a bit of a rest.
