Lovely gluten free cheese and ham toastie with a nice fresh salad and coleslaw. The lady who served me was very friendly and helpful.

First time here snd I am very impressed. Good quality food, served with a smile. Cheese burger and chips, simple and done well. Skin on chips crispy outside fluffy inside. Definitely come again.

We have been here many times and feel this latest visit was not up to the standards we have had before . I know it’s basically a cafe but I was disappointed.. I had sausage egg chips and beans which were all tasteless . The sausages were particularly not as good as previous visits (very large and tough and lacking any taste) . I have had these sausages before in another establishment so I know where they are sourced from and unfortunately they are not my favourite. Will I go back? Yes of course I will ,as generally it’s an ok place but I will avoid their sausages until they change their supplier.

We were here for a beer. I hope it will be open soon. This bar had nice atmosphere, we enjoyed our visit here.

My family and I arrived at this cafe just after 2pm on a Monday. There were no menus apart from one on the wall behind the till, which for a place with two long rooms to sit was rather inconvenient. We were informed that they no longer served breakfast which reduced our options by half. I ordered a club sandwich which came with cold, processed chicken and a ton of mayo. They refused to serve us bacon on toast for our little one although my sandwich contained those ingendients. There was no kids menu. I also ordered a piece of lemon meringue which was truly old. Apart from the friendly staff this was a disappointing experience.

Called into this bar with my family for the football final. Was told on entrance it’s a “mixed bar/public house” When England came on the tv they actually turned off the sound for the national anthem which is sick. So I sang it at my table and got told off? Also when England scored we got told to “pipe down” yet when Spain scored not a word was mentioned. The wee boy who worked behind the bar was an absolute sour bake. When ordering drinks he gave so much attitude I actually had to report him. The one bar tender was lovely, chatted away all night. But as for the rest of the staff there still living in the 70s Definatley not a mixed bar and 90% of the staff need an attitude check. It’s football get over it Guiness was decent tho Won’t be back

The Primrose was booked for a 50th birthday party on Sun 10th Nov and yet again the food and service was second to none. A huge thanks to Kevin and the team for looking after us, and thanks also for the bottle of bubbly for my wife!!
