Beer is great but the bao are better. Staff are always friendly and approachable

We had the pleasure of hosting an event at North Taproom and working alongside Sam and Chris. They were incredibly helpful, and their efforts, along with the wider team's, created a relaxed atmosphere complemented by delicious food. It was one of our best events yet. We’ll definitely be using this space again in the future and highly recommend it as an event venue. The space comfortably accommodates 50-75 people, and I’ll be returning for the bao buns alone. 10/10!

Bartender was super great and accommodating. Food is mediocre at best. Too salty with additives and too expensive for the quality. Layout is a bit weird. Those T-shirt hangers need some rethinking for sure, before someone breaks a rib. Not appropriate for safe circulation.

Hosted my partners 30th here last night - massive thank you to the team and in particular Nat for being so attentive and making the night stress free. Very easy booking process, dropped a DM and they send a deposit link which can later be used as a bar tab. They also very kindly provided a round and complimentary shot for my partner and myself. Really fab experience all round so once again, thank you all!

Great taproom and bar. Loads in tap and cans in the fridge. Didnt have any food but it looked good. Staff very friendly

Outstanding. It's not often you go to a pub/bar to find a vibrant atmosphere fused with great food and drink. Independent too. We were going to use this place as a place to have a drink before we went to a restaurant, why move on? So we stayed - smiply excellent.

Came here for Manchester Punk Festival. Over the weekend we visited about 3 times. We absolutely loved the Oyster mushroom Bao Buns. We ordered these twice, came back a third time to get the fried oyster mushrooms kn their own but was surprised by a new menu. All in all their food is really tasty but to go from crispy coated oyster mushrooms to regular mushrooms, isn't it. Please bring back the oyster mushrooms. Either way we would come back again! But seriously.... bring the oyster mushrooms back

Super bar - excellent beer which is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Plenty of power points around the bar for topping up the phone too. Didn't try the food here but have had the Bao's in other North bars and it's always been tiptop.

absolutely amazing service from eli on the bar. they were so helpful with recommendations and altering cocktails to suit what i wanted. would recommend wholeheartedly, amazing atmosphere, delightful drinks and friendly staff.

Such a gem of a place in Manchester! Amazing food, super friendly staff and loads of drink choices - It was really fun to try a new beer or wine I haven't had before. I've been to this place multiple times with friends and liked it so much I suggested it for some work drinks and the North Taproom team were amazing. So hospitable and friendly during the booking process and when we were there (and we were quite a large group). Couldn't rate this place enough!

Excellent place, relaxed atmosphere and a nice selection of some quality beer. Bao Boy concessio is running an amazing January 24 deal that is practically stealing the delicious food from them. Try it ..quick! (the normal prices are still great value)

Regular stop off point on the way yo Manchester Academy. They do a great range of craft beers etc- love the Mango IPA. Also love Little Bao Boy- bao buns are delicious, pulled pork, pulled beef, crispy chicken, tofu, aubergine and cauliflower options. 😋

Killer spot, excellent staff good beer

It was empty when we arrived but by the time we'd ordered and sat down the place was filling up fast. Friendly staff helpfully try and succeed to introduce you to the flavours you want at that moment. Excellent drinks list, they do food but we didn't eat. It looked great.

Leuke speciaal bier bar met mooie bieren op tap. Koelkast zit ook goed bier in! Eten is ook lekker, maar wel aan de prijs voor wat je krijgt. Bao buns zijn lekker :) leuke tip als je in de buurt bent

Our first visit to North Taproom, we will definitely need to return in the future.

We went to North for a beer tasting a couple of weeks ago. Chris looked after us brilliantly. They have a great range of beers to try. Chris sat down and drank with us whilst talking us through each beer. He had just the right balance of nerdy facts and story telling. We went in a group of 3. Chris made all of us feel special. Would 100% recommend

Decent bar with a good selection of beers and outdoor seating when the weather is good. They played some nice music as well.

We went there just for a drink, I found it quite cosy there, not too many people on a weekday, nice place to chill and chat. They also serve food. Would like to come again.

Got caught in the rain on my stroll around the area and didn't regret! Was surprised by prices, £5 for a pint of good craft beer and lovely Thai broth from the Little Bao Boy kept me cozy while waiting for the rain to pass. And I treated myself to soft warm sweatshirt from the North merch. Worth every penny! Thank to the staff for the lovely experience!

Really enjoyed my lunch! The boa’s were SO GOOD! And the beers were tasty! I just so happen to stop by during an event and was given a free can of beer, how amazing! Very happy I stumbled on this place. Located next to a beautiful courtyard and has great outdoor seating.

Friendly staff in a welcoming (modern) interior. A reasonable selection of beverages (as with all places of this sort, there's a heavy leaning towards IPAs). Food offering is somewhat limited, but a reasonable price for what you get and as they are smaller offerings you can scale up as appropriate)

I’ve been to plenty of tap rooms but I have to say this is by far and away the best. North do some amazing beers but this space, location staff and the amazing food served here by little Bao boy is just too good. I can’t wait to get back here.

Wow, we loved everything about this place. It's always a good sign when they automatically bring a carafe of water while you consider your beer choice. Mind you it was quiet when we were in. The Bao buns came fast and were super tasty. Veg gyoza and tofu fries were great too. The guys behind the counter were friendly and helpful.

Have been in solo, with partner and with a large group of friends and every time I've found the staff to be the friendliest, patient and knowledgeable out of any of Manchester's many craft bars and brewtaps. Superb choice of beers with Transmission being a personal favourite.

On the money if you’re looking for no frills / modern drinking. Many great beers on tap and in the fridge. The fast food Bao / Asian inspired small plates are tasty and work well with the beers. Friendly staff took time to discuss the different beers. Also - Negroni on tap - great closing tipple! Nice, casual seating and lots of space. Shout out to Miles who greeted and served us. Back soon.

Proper trendy real ale gaff. Very clean and modern vibe with the same being said for the setting.

Another great new craft Tap Room in the Oxford Street area. All starting to make their competition near the main train station feel a little tired. Great selection. Nice simple beer grub. Didn't try but saw menu and did go out. Friendly helpful staff.

Nice service but very expensive for some cheap food. 5£ for 1 piece of chicken, 5£ for 1 mushroom. I spent like 20 including some fries and a drink that was just like a starter. Staff was nice, friendly and profesional.

Now visited a couple of times & very impressed by the friendliness of the knowledgeable staff, the beer range which consists usually of a couple of casks but mainly craft choices, the food menu seems very popular but not tried & on both occasions it was very popular & busy with a good mix of ages. Well worth seeking out & trying out I think you will be impressed.

Comfortably pretentious, stools and long wooden table, but up their own arse, but am sure someone else’s cup of tea.

Wonderful range of beers, awesome food especially the beef brisket! Perfect place to go before a gig at The Ritz or The Academy, will definitely be visiting again when next over in Manchester!

Love this bar! Great atmosphere and beers, staff really attentive and friendly. Only given it 4 stars as the food pop up within the bar Little Bao Boy was a let down, food was really flavourless none of us enjoyed it which was a shame because we were excited to try it. Great place for drinks though & potentially food when the pop up vendor switches, will return!

Goldmine of beers to choose from ! Staff were polite and friendly! Food is available to order in the separate food window. We had the gyoza and beef brisket buns , the size was reasonable for the price and came quickly when ordered. Keen to return again to try the other beers.

Was just walking past and saw the sign and popped in for a beer. Very welcoming staff with great knowledge! The food is delicious, highly recommended!
