No fish and chips. We received a fish and vegan chips which was an inedible (too hard). I asked to change it, but I had to pay extra for it - Unacceptable! - and the fries are not good, they have no taste (I didn't even know that existed).

This place was great. The seafood platter (cod, haddock, shrimp and calamari) and the grilled sole were delicious and came with unlimited fries. We went during lunch and it was relatively quiet, making it a great place to chat. Service was tops as well; the wait staff checked in on us regularly and we felt very well taken care of. I highly recommend visiting.

Delicious food!!! But the service really remains to be desired…. 30 min for a simple carafe of water that I finally had to go and ask for at the bar!!! I ordered potatoes with my fish…I asked the waitress 3x to know when it was coming (I already had my fish) only to let me know the 4th time that they were “sold out” of potatoes…. What a shame because the service ruins everything else. The boss offered us the glass of wine we ordered... The tables next door suffered the same mishaps... there was even one waiting and the waitress told him that they had forgotten to send the order to the kitchen 😱

I am SPEECHLESS. From the food to the service! I have lived in Camden for 27 years and can say for certainty, this is the gem of London. This is the BEST fish & chip spot in the whole of the UK. After trying fish & chips from all over, this took the win by miles. Not oily at all like most chippy’s. Chris was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal, his service will make me apply for a job here just to be a part of this incredible team! AJ behind the bar was brilliant too, thank you both for such unbelievable service, made my week. The grilled cod fish with chips, mushy peas & THEIR TARTAR sauce was a banging combo. SCAMPI IS MOUTH WATERING. Onion rings were delicious too. These guys KNOW what they are doing. Hope to see you guys soon, Lara xx

Food is always excellent here. My grilled lemon sole was perfect. Desserts nice too and service polite and cheerful but the table was sticky and the decor really needs a refresh - I’ve been coming here since the 90s and it’s just getting tattier

I made a reservation! I made a reservation using Google, but I was worried so I contacted them again on Instagram, and they responded very politely. Ordered a salad and a large fish and chips. The fish is so fluffy and delicious! It was a popular restaurant frequented by many locals. If you tell them you want to share the fish and chips, they'll bring you a big one, but it's huge. We drank wine and beer.

Spent a few weeks visiting London and discovered this gem near my flat. North Sea Fish is a charming restaurant right off Marchmont St on Leigh. I found the atmosphere to be welcoming and delightful, the staff friendly and the food excellent! We enjoyed a casual dining experience with fresh food that was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! If you are more in the mood for some fish and chips, they have a takeaway counter next door. The fish was fresh, well breaded and fried to perfection. The chips were also excellently prepared and you could easily work your way down the menu if you choose, they have quite a selection of fish and side items that compliment the fish and are sure to satisfy. I went back a couple of times during my stay, it was that good!

What a great find the North Sea Fish Restaurant was! We went with a group and they treated us like royalty. The food was delicious, especially the beef and onion pie! The crust was perfectly crispy and the filling was super flavorful – absolutely divine! Plus, the staff was so friendly and attentive. Chris, Elena, and the waitresses made us feel right at home. Always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. They're a 10 out of 10! And not only that! Since it was a bit warm, they even offered to turn down the heating to make us more comfortable! It's clear they care about their customers! And the best part is, they gave us a great price for the group. That's always a plus! This is a fish restaurant located near St. Pancras Station. It takes about 5-7 minutes to walk from King's Cross-St Pancras Station. There are two shops next to each other. The one on the left is a fish shop, and the one on the right is a restaurant run by the fish shop. It's a restaurant that mainly sells fish and chips, and even with fish and chips, you can choose from many different types of fish. I ate cod, and the cod was very plump and delicious. The fried squid as a starter was delicious as the squid was very tender and fried. 60% of the customers are French, the remaining 30% are Chinese, and the French all order grilled fish. Grilled fish looks more delicious than fish and chips, so I'll have to try grilled fish next time. There was a lot of beer and whiskey, so it was great to drink and eat together. However, please note that it is a bit pricey. The two of us gained 60 pounds.

Best fish n chips I’ve ever had

I've been there last Sunday, the food is amazing, big portions as well. their scallops is different level... very juicy, tender, tasty and the sauce is made with perfection! as their prawns and grilled fish. Please go to try just their fried calamari, everything is made with love. the stuff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, either kitchen stuff, floor or the chef even their boss! a lovely young and hardworking man. loved the atmosphere with positive vibes. Great location. A dream place and food... I will definitely go again and tell my friends/family about it.

I ordered a cod and chips, another portion of chips and tartare sauce via Deliveroo which came to just over £27. One whole portion of chips was missing from my order. The quality of the food was not as good as previous visits (check out the photo). I am now fighting with Deliveroo to get my money back on the missing food. Oh and we are still hungry due to the missing food.

A long-established fish and chips restaurant There is a fresh fish store next door. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and there are many elderly couples. There are a variety of menu items, so I asked the staff for recommendations, and she recommended the classic fish and chips, which I ordered in a small size. I also ordered chicken salad. The clerk told me that ice wine was cheap for two weeks only, so I ordered a bottle. The fish and chips are delicious, as expected. Since the portion was large, it was perfect for two people to share. The salad was delicious with chicken and fresh vegetables, but the quantity was large. Decent fish and chips but very expensive. For a large Haddock and Chips with Gherkin, including service was around £30 to eat in. Haddock was fresh, batter was light and not greasy. Chips were probably frozen ones but were cooked well. Homemade tartare sauce was really good. Service was slow on a Friday night.

If you ask the staff, they'll give you recommendations. It's good (personally, I highly recommend dover sole). I don't really write reviews... I am writing this because I have never been treated with such a ridiculous attitude. The short-haired waiter with glasses didn't offer us tartar sauce or ketchup even though we ordered fish and chips. I have eaten fish and chips at many restaurants in the past, so I was shocked to see such foolishness. And I was very angry. It's 100% impossible to forget to serve tartar sauce with fish and chips. Not to mention ketchup. Anyone who looks at the table can tell that there is no tartar sauce or ketchup. ☆It's impossible to forget tartar sauce for fish and chips. (*In fact, all other customers were served a set of tartar sauce and ketchup.) I never dreamed that I would go out to eat fish and chips and be insulted. However, after seeing the comments from other Asian customers who went to this store, I truly regretted going to this store again. Asian customers...There are many other nice restaurants in London that serve delicious fish and chips. Please go there. We were disappointed. The batter on the fish wasn’t like normal batter, it was actually thin and soggy instead of being crispy. I think something had gone wrong with the batter mix. The chips were really hard and dry like they had been fried too many times. So the 2 things a fish and chip restaurant needs to get right were wrong. Nice friendly staff though otherwise it would have got no stars. I hope they sort it out, unfortunately we won’t be back.

Muy mal todo, fuimos un matrimonio y un niño de 9 años, teníamos encargado para las 21:15, llegamos puntual, según nos sentamos trajeron rápido la carta y a los 2 o 3 minutos nos vinieron a meter prisa indicándonos que a las 21:30 cerraba la cocina y que no admitirían pedidos, a mayores, 3 platos de los que pedimos, no los tenían disponibles, nos imaginamos que por que les llevaría tiempo prepararlos y no quisieron cocinarlos….el caso es que finalmente comimos una hamburguesas de pescado, unas salchichas con patatas fritas y un plato de pescado rebozado con patatas, no estaban mal, pero tampoco era gran cosa, y si añadimos que mientras cenábamos estaban los camareros barriendo, fregando, cerrando el grifo de cerveza, limpiando cafetera, etc….menos mal que no pedimos café, sino sería de cachondeo 😂😂….en resumen, que muy mala experiencia y no lo recomendamos !!!

This chippy blew me away! Being from the North I have high standards for my fish & chips and this place blew me away. It’s more posh feeling than a usual chippy but the quality is incredible. I want to try everything on the menu. It’s a shame it’s more expensive than all the chippies back home but it is London after all, and I don’t mind paying extra when it tastes this good.

Excellent fish and chips, good draught beer, pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. What more can you ask for? Although very close to the busy Euston Road where we were staying, the restaurant is in a much quieter area with some lovely old buildings. My only regret is that I could only choose one dish and it was hard to decide!

This place had super good fish and chips. I had the whole sea bass and iv never had a fish come out as a whole fish on a plate before it was very delicious. Desi was our waitress and she recommended the sea bass to me and she recommended the prawns and they both hit the spot ! She was also very awesome with our son and hooked him up with some extra cheese on his burger !!

Cod and Haddock Fish and Chips were good. Doesn’t feel oily and wasn’t thick on the batter. Personally preferred the Haddock. Couldn’t stop with the chips, even though we were already full 🤣 Not on the menu, octopus salad was refreshing. Good and the bad, came out of the place smelling like fish and chips. Fortunately, headed back directly and not to a business meeting.

We were here with our one-year-old son who certainly did not feel like eating here. We only found this out in the restaurant. When we said we wanted to leave, the manager told us not to worry if the little one started crying. We therefore decided to stay. We felt like our order was brought forward so we didn't have to wait as long. The amount of food was enough for three people. Luckily we were given the rest of the food. A salad is recommended with the fried fish. Recommended to eat here.

Cute little place, unfortunately the the service wasn't very good, never got the drink we ordered, waited 40 min for our food the server came back to ask if we had our food yet... then it came out over cooked. They need to season there food... no salt or pepper... way over priced foe what we got!

A bit annoying as there was not any Salt or Vinagre sachets, although I did request them. They are usually delivered. Had no vinagre at home do had to send my partner to the shop.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The restaurant just seemed chaotic and inefficient. I ordered scallops with boiled potatoes for my main course. The scallops arrived 30 minutes later. I waited for the boiled potatoes but nothing. I repeatedly asked the staff at least 3 times before a manager (I presume) told me that they ran out of boiled potatoes and nobody informed me while my scallops got cold. The manager said that he would waive the cost of my main but when the bills came I was charged full price. I argued and in the end he gave us £10 discount. The main was £25 and I missed the potatoes. They didn’t give me any substitution. It was an insult. The whole team of staff was incompetent. One of them (an older woman) refused to acknowledge my presence completely.

We were lucky we walked in before the dinner rush without a reservation and got a table. Definitely consider reserving if you're planning to go for dinner after 6pm. As they get lined up very fast and are in central London. 12 minute walk from King's Cross and St. Pancras.

I was recommended this restaurant as the best for eating fish and chips and it lived up to our expectations. We had the cod fish (the classic) and it was very tender. The fries served with it are also excellent and unlimited. The setting is very nice with a seaside atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Not to be missed!

We had lunch here after exploring the treasures at the British Library. Shared a jumbo cod with chips and mushy peas. The peas and chips were excellent as was the breading of the fish. The fish itself was mushy in texture. When I noticed I informed the staff. They took the feedback well but, did not offer to make any changes. They did advise that if I told them sooner next time they could swap out the filet.

I visited this place with my brother a month ago. Our eyes were bigger than our stomach because we ordered a starter and then the huge platter, but all the varieties of fishes were amazing!

The restaurant was full with a queue, so unfortunately I could only have take away (door next door, but same kitchen). The crew was super nice, helpful and cheerful, and the mood among each other was good. That alone was a joy. I had fish (haddock) and chips. The fish was fresh and tasted very good, the chips were as crispy as I haven't eaten them in a long time. Even though I “only” had regular, the portion was huge. Two people could have eaten it. I would come back in a heartbeat. I found the price/performance ratio (I paid GBP 12.90) to be very reasonable.
