We watched england rugby there last weekend and was packed and good vibes. Was amazing live music after from some irish lad with an amazing voice. overall a great time

Went for celebratory drinks for my sister's birthday and was not disappointed! They have a great selection of beers and the strawberry gin went down a treat. The pub has a lively and friendly atmosphere and Macy our bartender was polite and had great knowledge about the drinks. We cannot wait for our next visit!

I just love popping into the North Laine Brewhouse! The vibe is always lively, the staff are super friendly, and the beers are crafted with love right on site. It's my favorite spot to catch up with friends or meet new faces. If you're in Brighton, do yourself a favor and grab a pint here—you won't regret it!

Big place that describes itself as a pub but has DJs playing music louder than a lot of clubs. Can’t have a conversation with the person across the table. No one’s dancing, stop ruining people’s hearing.

Had a work Christmas party here and we had our own little sectioned off curtain bit but ive also drank here outside of work and the vibe is usually quite fun! Bit on the expensive side with non alcoholic beer at £4.40 a bottle but I know they have shot deals and other things. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Worth going just for that. Ping pong table for use and I think I saw a pool table (can't be certain). Decorated really vibrantly and modern and have a big outside smoking bit which is good. Worth a visit if you like young and vibrant vibes.

Visited a couple of weeks back on a Friday night and was very impressed by the atmosphere and decoration. As soon as you enter the North Laine Brewhouse everything feels very premium and trendy with large metal sculptures, an ice cream truck food bar and loud music, I wouldn’t question you if you told me it was in the heart of London. As lovely as this trendy london feel is, it unfortunately comes with the trendy London prices with their cheapest cider coming up to the £7 mark. If they offered student discount on this I feel it would have been ok for me but I was informed that they don’t do student discount on weekends. It’s a great experience to go for a drink here (if you’re looking for pre-drinks before heading to the club this place is for you) but sadly due to the pricing I’m unlikely to return- that is at least on a weekend as I am yet to experience their food and student prices. Overall, this pub is great if you’re looking for a trendy London feel and something a bit more unique than your classic British pub. Just be prepared to pay London prices.

A brewpub serving mostly modern ales. The locally brewed ales are really good. Don't expect traditional ones, though. The food is the typical pub grub. The burger was OK. The place is very spacious. There's a ping pong table and darts inside. The staff is very friendly.

A stupendous location overlooking centre reserve green, with picnic tables out front.

Came in on a Sunday for dinner and I had the bbq garlic and caper butter cabbage which was a special as they had run out of the veggie wellington and it was the best thing I’ve ever had on a roast! As a veggie I get a bit sick of having meat substitutes on roasts so this was super fresh and new and tasted amazing and was the star of the meal. The yorkies take second place they were so big and crispy! It was a great vibe in the pub and the staff were super lovely and helpful when it came to choosing drinks, and they had loads of beer options which are brewed on site for other beer fans! 10/10 food and vibes will defo be back

We attended a brew tour with Willow, they were very knowledgeable and pitched the information well to each guest. Willow was entertaining and made it a fun experience. A great asset to your team.

Great Pub, Great Roast, Great Vibes

Incredible bar, popped in on my mates stag do and it's a welcoming vibe. Idk if they always play classic rock but it was a lovely surprise. Recommend to anyone. Willow is a credit to your business.

Came in to have a roast since hearing of the new head chef, must say it’s the best roast I’ve had in a long time. Beef was tender and the whole meal was delicious, paired with a Guinness it was the perfect way to top off the week. 10/10 compliments to the chef

All our food was absolutely delicious! We had both meat and vegetarian options, both looked and tasted great! Would highly recommend the beef and pork belly and getting the pigs in blankets as an extra. The cauliflower croquettes are also amazing and really nice and cheesy. We will be back!

We went to the drag brunch which was fantastic! The breakfast- waffles and bacon with syrup- was delicious and there were other options to choose from. The service was excellent- all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The entertainment was great and we loved the general atmosphere in the pub too. We would definitely visit this pub again!

Waited 45 mins for my food to come before they told me I’d only get half my order and have to wait for the rest. Then was told they wouldn’t be able to make the rest of my order. They remade something else which was tasty but all together 1.5hr wait for my food, wasted my time in Brighton. The beer was tasty. The staff were insincere (was offered a free drink but I had wasted too long and wanted to leave)

Superb place with amazing staff. Disabled toilets relatively easy to access though if you have a large mobility scooter or wheelchair that takes a wide turning radius MIGHT be a problem, however, staff are always really helpful regarding this. I've been there when it's been really busy and staff and patrons alike have helped. Friendly atmosphere and a regular local for us. Disabled person review.

We went into North Laine today for a lovely Sunday roast and a drink- one of us had the roast beef and I had the nut roast, both of which were amazing! The bartender Edy was really helpful in talking us through all the menu options and they were very accommodating for a vegetarian diet. The food came very quickly and was a really good sized portion. The star of the show was the roast potatoes but all of the food was amazing and we had a really great time. A special thank you to the lovely manager Hattie who was absolutely wonderful. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and good music. Thank you North Laine!

Amazing Sunday roast today. Omnis and vegans both very happy and full. Large portions, crispy potatoes and lots of thick gravy - what more could you want?

Came for a roast on the Sunday. Lovely vibe in the pub. All of the staff are happy and friendly and very attentive. The roast itself was hands down the best ever roast I have had to pleasure of eating. I had the beef. Every single component of the roast was cooked to perfection which is a complete rarity. The new chef has put so much love and soul into the food and it real out shows. I will be visiting again.

Came with friends for a Sunday roast this afternoon and my gosh it was incredible! The cauli cheese ball and the beef were the highlight! And the service from Tilly, Noko and the person with the hat who’s name I didn’t catch, was exceptional we are coming back tonight for open mic!

A great selection of locally brewed beers and ciders. Has a ping pong table. Next to no atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon and the toilets stank like a Council owned public convenience

the food was excellent, really generous and great presentation compared to previous visits awhile ago, and the staff were on it making sure we had plenty of sauces and gravy etc. Also brought a bowl of water over for our dog without asking. Great Sunday pub trip!

Serving and brewing the worse beer in Sussex. A pure Greedhead chain of pubs forcing their overpriced inferior brew on us. For hipsters and people that don't know any better. Awful service. I won't make that mistake again. Avoid at your pleasure. So many superior pubs instead, that serve some of the best beers in the country.

If you want a pint that’s fine if you want food don’t bother as you won’t get any even though you have ordered it

We popped in here for a drink and got excellent service from friendly and knowledgable bar staff. We tried a couple of tasters of beers before settling on our order. Felt like a better experience than when I was last there... For what it's worth ...the other people on their breakfast and drinks deal all seemed to be having a good time at midday on a Saturday.

Fab Friday night out with friends. Great atmosphere, such lovely friendly staff. Food arrived quickly, we ordered a variety of things off the menu and it was all delicious!

Everyone sitting outside because the music is so stupidly loud. This pub thinks it’s a club. Further, toilets are disgusting, have been to nicer festival toilets. Beer selection is pretty good to be fair.

Booked a table in advance for after the brighton half marathon. We were told to wait for 30mins to order as the kitchen was busy. After 30mins were told that we'd have to wait a further hour with no guarantee of food as they were running out. Understand things get busy but the very least you could do is ensure bookings get served food! Left after 1hr 15mins hungry and frustrated

Booked lunch with a little trepidation having read the reviews - they are so mixed it is hard to get a real feel for The Amsterdam which over the years has had a good and bad reputation - so, when in doubt, go and try yourself! The Amsterdam has undergone some great renovations and the whole Inn has definitely had a good face lift. Was pleasantly surprised to see the car park full, always a good sign! The staff and young and friendly and the ones looking after us certainly had a good attitude. There are various menus from pub snacks, bar snacks to a full menu. We all chose from the full menu and could not fault the food at all - nicely presently, good portions and well priced. Pleasantly surprised (in a good way!) at the price of the wine! All in all a very good lunch set in delightful surroundings - pleased we chose to find out if the reviews were right!
