Cakes are superb. Fresh tasty and lots of choice. Savoury items adequate. Didn't like chips. Burger was more like a supermarket one inspite of coming from a local butcher. No bluebadge parking. One step into table area. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Very disappointed the milk was off , the cheese sandwiches were like door stops, the bread was stale. The beef was fatty and chewy. Couple sat next to us and one lady had almost finished her meal by the time her friend received hers. Awful food and bad service.

Food was OK but a little disappointed. We had the lunch menu which is slightly limited in choice. My lunch was a beef sandwich on granary priced at £8.95 and came with a small pot of coleslaw. The beef was quite nice but for this price I would have expected either chips or crisps with this. We also had the burger which was very good and came with chips and nicely loaded with tomato and salad and slaw.

This is my 3rd time here, I had homemade quiche for lunch, with homemade coleslaw and homemade chunky chips with salad and it was to die for! I love this place, its spotless, the food is all sourced fresh from their farm including the meat. The staff and management are incredibly helpful! We sat outside in their beautiful garden and the sun was shining. Later came some light rain but the parasols have been replaced with some gazebos so the guests can continue to be outdoors if they choose (esp when it's still warm). Each visit iv tried something different on the menu and they've never failed to impress. I always come away feeling like iv had a wonderful day out! Massive thumbs 👍 up Norbury Farm!!!

I live locally so come here for breakfast regularly. Great value and always tasty using their own farm produce On my last visit I had a lovely lunch with my sister who thought everything was very fresh. It is a very friendly relaxed atmosphere in unique setting and on a sunny day so nice to sit in the garden to eat . I had the special Pork loin and veg which was yummy and my sister had the quiche. Only suggestion would be to offer more fresh fish on specials menu. We both bought cakes to take home as they looked so nice! Definitely recommend a visit.

I have eaten at Norbury Farm for years. Don't know if the cook/ chef as left because portions were small, prices hiked up and service very poor. Cannot believe size of portion. My salad had only lambs lettuce in it. Trifle was made with tinned custard. It was terrible. Not going back.

Had a friend up from Devon. Fancied a bit of lunch and as I hadn't been for a good whole thought I would visit Norbury Farm. We only had sandwiches and both were below what we expected. The bread wasn't fresh and I didn't even attempt to eat the salad garnish or coleslaw as both had seen better days. If I had enjoyed the food and drinks I would have been more than happy to pay £26 but on this occasion it was a complete waste of money.

So disappointed with our visit. It was the first time ever I had to leave a cup of coffee as it was so bland. As my friend pointed out, if you were blindfolded it would be hard to say it was a coffee. I ordered cake thinking I would get the slice already cut under the glass domed dish on the counter but when it arrived it was half the size like a sample portion. I don't understand how an establishment could get it so wrong, I saw a coffee machine when we paid but struggle to see how it could make coffee so awful. I wanted to complain but my friend was reluctant to and said we just won't come here again.

My friend and I had walked round Bramhall Park then ventured over here for a coffee. It was a lovely sunny autumn morning and we sat outside. We watched the birds on the bird table and the staff were kind and brought a bowl of water for my friends dog. The cappuccino we chose was lovely, and we found this to be a pleasant little cafe with a pretty garden where people could sit and have drinks or breakfast. There was a little shop inside the cafe, selling purses, clothes and jewellery. Very quaint. A nice afternoon break.

Restrictive lunch menu. Sandwiches served on bloomer bread so asked waitress if it was thick cut as nothing worse than a sandwich which is all bread with little filling. Was reassured that the bread was cut thinly, however, this wasn't the case. Beef was tasteless, bread cut thick and heavily buttered, overall disappointed with quality of food. Was a lovely afternoon and the outside area is very pretty. Think you need to give more choice for lunch options especially for people wanting a lighter choice

This place is overpriced and rubbish! They don’t serve a selection of drinks. You order a drink and a different one arrives, when you inform the waitress that’s not my order she told me oh I thought you changed your mind? Did I telepathically tell you that or is she lazy ? The family are rude! This place is always busy but genuinely you are getting ripped off! There are other lovely cafes in hazel grove which are much better

I never fail to be surprised by the negative posts on TA. Maybe I am always”just lucky”. My first visit last week was because the pub up the road was closed due to staff shortages. Must say, the sign on the road saying “cafe open” did not conjure up excitement, AND could easily be missed. However, entering at 12.30, there were only two tables left; a good sign. The waitress smiled, the food offering plentiful and quickly served. Very reasonably priced too.

Called in this morning to be greeted by smiles. What a lovely friendly cafe. Tea served in a china cup and saucer. Always a good sign of attention to detail. After reading some negative reviews I feel they're very unfair Go and visit. Even just for coffee (although the cakes looked very tempting too). If these Covid times have taught us anything, it's 'be kind'

I would advise that no one goes here. The staff are incredibly rude. They just shut when they feel like it and don’t even offer an apology. They just patronise you and tell you you should have booked first which is not something that I would expect from a cafe. There is a lovely little cafe called Napoli just off the main road in Hazel Grove which I would recommend instead. They are much more accommodating, provide much better customer service and are polite to customers. The food:and drink is far nice too!

No one came over to see if everything was ok! we both had a cup of tea. It cost me £11.15 for a drink of tea and the cheese and onion special - very expensive for what was served! Ive twice popped in for a takeaway coffee and both times felt that it is quite disorganized and there seemed to be tension between staff. The first time i ordered take away toast which when i unwrapped it had hardly any butter on. Second time i ordered toast and a childs size cheese sandwich. What came was dry toast in foil( no butter). And two pieces of toast absolutely loaded down with melted cheese- i actually waited 20 mins for this!. It seems that everyone gets involved with all the orders which creates chaos. Unfortunately wont go back again.

Followed up with delicious home made cakes. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. My Mum has restricted mobility and I had phoned ahead to book the table. I came here for the first time even though it is only a mile from where I live and discovered what I had been missing out on. It has a lovely farmhouse atmosphere with lots of parking spaces. The menu is surprisingly extensive and there are specials as well. I was part of a party of four and glad we booked ahead as it was quite busy when we arrived at 1 pm on a Friday. We were greeted and taken to a nice table immediately and chose a variety of lunches all of which were delicious and very well presented and arrived quickly even though the place was full. We then were tempted by excellent puddings which again were top class. Including tips and drinks it worked out about £15 each which was very good value. My only concern was that when it was full it was a bit "echoy" which sometimes made hearing what your friends said slightly difficult but this would certainly not stop me going again.

Lovely in the garden during good weather and they have a lovely summerhouse. Never had a bad meal. You can just have soup or a sandwich or a larger meal if you are really hungry. Don't leave without sampling the cake or take a slice home with you x

You are greeted with a smile by the staff and given excellent service. Miriam, Fay and Celeste make this place special. I recommend the chocolate brownies and Bakewell tart fresh out of the oven. The hot chocolate and coffees are also a real treat.

Arrived about 2.30 and we're greeted with 'having coffee and cake'. Obviously we were not expected to have a late lunch. We felt we were a inconvenience. Not very friendly staff. Not surprised not many people there. The cakes were very nice and a pleasant mug of coffee. A china mug would have been good. They are more like the thick Horlicks mugs of old. A good selection of specials on the blackboard. The surroundings were clean and tidy.

We went along not quite knowing what to expect. We sat outside on the pleasant patio area and were warmly welcomed and quickly served. The menu had a wide selection to cater for everyone and our lunchtime meals were delicious and the cakes were excellent especially the cheesecake cake which was wonderful. All the staff were very friendly and as we left we had already decided to return again. I am happy to recommend. Ps great butcher shop and gift shop sited in the courtyard both worth looking at.

Extremely over priced with terrible customer service why do people still go! £1.95 for a glass of rubbish ginger beer. £5.95 for one slice of rarebit and a teeny tiny salad. The rarebit was mushy and horrible tasting. The place needs a good scrub too, maybe the grumpy serving staff could do it! I will certainly never return and will tell as many people as possible about this terrible experience.

Have visited Norbury Farm on numerous occasions so decided this morning to drive down (past a fair few decent cafes) for breakfast.Sat down and ordered fairly quickly. 2x full English both with well done bacon. 45 minutes later and the breakfasts arrived, a long time but we were chatting so wasn't a problem. When the food arrived, the bacon was the palest colour of pink and pure fat!!! Told the dark haired girl serving we asked for it well done and she just took the plates with no apology. At this same point a couple on the table to the left of us were complaining about the exact same thing, the bacon; while a family to the right were complaining that they had waited 50 minutes with no sign of their food and people who ordered after them had finished their food and left. The girl then returned with two scolding hot plates and passed us them, causing both my mum and I to burn our hands. The plates had obviously been kept hot while the fatty bacon was cooked further, and you could tell this as the sausage was half eaten on my mums plate. No surprise, when I cut into my poached egg it was rock solid and had carried on cooking while being kept hot.My mum was past caring and decided to eat it anyway as we had been there an hour at this point. I had to take my plate to by the kitchen where I showed another young dark haired girl my egg.. She looked puzzled and walked into the kitchen with her plate, without commenting. Not only that, but she didn't even take 2 seconds to come to the table to apologise or inform me the kitchen would make a fresh one; this simple apology could have been the difference in whether or not you lost a customer! My mum had finished eating by this point, so I waited for my breakfast in an unpleasant environment with surrounding customers complaining to each other at how appalling the service was. A young guy with dark hair did seem to be apologetic when dealing with other customers and dealt with the issues quite well but the two dark haired girls had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever and dealt with the whole ordeal very ineffectively. Very disappointed!!!

I have been to Norbury Farm cafe a few times now, first for a coffee and cake, also for an excellent farm breakfast last weekend, and today for a delicious lunch and dessert. The food is always of a high quality and excellently presented, the staff always helpful, today the waiter was very friendly and courteous. I would recommend Norbury Farm cafe for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake. While there don't forget to visit the gift shop and butchers!

Have visited several times, and always enjoyed the food, friendly atmosphere etc. It's often been noisy - hard floor, low ceiling, tables close together - but this week Wednesday lunch-time) conversation was just impossible. This was particularly unfortunate, as we had to wait 45 minutes for the food to appear. Sadly, I don't think we will be back in a hurry !

We visited Norbury Farm as a local get together with a few girl friends to catch up for a chat. Tea , cakes ( and a small glass of Prosecco !) All went down well . Lovely staff a beautiful garden ,we were blessed with fine weather and we sat outside. A lovely setting. Complete with a farm butchers, a gift shop and a fab little curtain / haberdasher . What a find ! We'll definitely be back .

We visited last month for lunch with mum. This place is always busy and the staff always look rushed off their feet. The food was OK but not brilliant. Fresh but quickly put together. However the food was very fresh and the majority of the staff are very friendly. The seats are very close together and the step at the top of the seating area is dangerous if people fall as it is quite steep. It is perfectly adequate for a light lunch but more attention to detail needs to be taken to avoid the place feeling like a fancy cafeteria.. We had toasted sandwiches and salad with chips which were tasty but nothing special . We had 2 shandy's that were expensive for what they were...there is a nice little seating area at the back which is nice if the weather is good . Beware of wasps later in the year as there were lots of flowering baskets last time we visited. In all this is a perfectly adequate and clean farm shop that offers local produce.

Very clean and comfortable. An excellent cup of tea but the cake was very disappointing. The lemon cake had not seen a lemon there was just a taste of lemon in the icing. The setting is very nice with the gift shop and the butchers. Will not visit again, I felt it was very overpriced for a cafe.

I ate at this cafe recently whilst meeting a friend for lunch. The cafe is near to Stepping Hill hospital and served as a good place to meet up. The cafe is sited in a farm complex and was very busy at lunchtime. We were able to get a table, but were advised to book in future. The cafe is clean & informal, the tables are close together, the service is pleasent & efficient and the food was good. The menu offers tea, cakes, sandwiches and more substantial cooked meals. We had a pork dinner which was very tasty, followed by trifle. Parking at busy times is limited and there is an outdoor seating area for sunnier days!

I've live in Stockport and go out in town for drinks, I didn't even know this kind of bar was in Stockport. I've only found out now about this bar and it's shutting. Pity I would have loved to book the hole bar for a party.

So unbelievably sad to see the end of this fine establishment! I have been a customer since 1980. Simply wonderful! Mario's front-of-house skills coupled with Gianni's cooking (and drumming) expertise meant a night here was always a special occasion. In fact, although it could be argued that a restaurant should be judged primarily on its culinary qualities, it was the combination of service, food, ambience and bon homie that made Mario & Gianni's stand out. Birthday meals, romantic meals and company meals - all were hosted here with aplomb! A great loss to Hazel Grove. Footnote: I went to visit Gianni at the hospice when the cruellest disease of them all was taking him. With characteristic joviality, he said he was looking forward to meeting David Bowie and Elvis. 😊
