Noodle Street in Tower Hamlets

We were at a nearby pub in Canary Wharf and randomly picked Noodle Street to have dinner. The food was excellent (we had spring rolls, various flavours of chicken, beef, duck, rice, noodles), prices very reasonable and service was good and friendly.

Great experience! Table of 8 for dinner booked last minute. Good menu choices, Great food and service, would definitely recommend 😊

16.4.24 Under new management which was confirmed 4 weeks ago, when I asked 10 weeks ago if they were under new management it was an emphatic NO! Service was always hit and miss but the last 2 visits whilst being served by new management, I found them to be rude and obnoxious. Sadly, after coming weekly for the past 17yrs we'll no longer be going. Which in the past 8 months we've been frequenting Chinese Gourmet. The dining in experience obviously can't be compared as there's proper seating and lots of space in Noodle Street. But what Chinese Gourmet lack in space they gain in delicious, well priced BIG portions, we particularly enjoy their hand pulled noodles. They don't charge service for eating in either. 2pm seems to be staff eating time, we had 2 staff look at us and whilst one greeted us and then proceeded to ignore and went to eat. 4 members of staff eating and chatting happily, quite odd behaviour. We walked out.

One of the best Chinese cuisines in areas

Food was good, although portions on the small side compared to other Chinese restaurants in this area and elsewhere. Staff were reasonably friendly although they did seem less friendly than other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to, both in this area and elsewhere.

Discreet and calm restaurant. Fast service. The dishes are plentiful and well cooked. To try without problem.

My first time visiting this restaurant and the food did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. We ordered xiao-long bao, kung po chicken, chilli turnip squares as well as their special udon noodles. We are a family of 4 with a very fussy 6 year old and the kids loved the udon and xiao-long bao so we had to order another portion of the xiao-long bao. The restaurant had a nice chilled atmosphere and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend this restaurant which is just a short walk from the Westferry DLR.

A really interesting variety of Asian cuisine, food fresh; was cooked in the kitchen area, catering for extra spicy to mild in a nice atmosphere and surroundings; clean facilities, neatly laid out tables, good staff service prompt and unfussy. If am in Limehouse soon again, I shall definitely return.

Food is really good and authentic however the service is not the best. Me and my friends went here for lunch and every time we needed the waiters they were at the back (some having lunch) and couldn’t see us, so we kept on waiting until they’d decide to finally come check the tables once in while - and when they would they’d take only one request from a table in the room and then leave When the check came I asked if they could offer one of the orange juices we ordered as the first one my friend didn’t drink because she let it fall - and they were very rude in the way they spoke to us even though we were being polite and just making a question

Can't beat noodle street one of the best places we'll manner Workers very friendly and a very warm homely atmosphere, food was absolutely amazing the price for the food is just perfect 👍💯 would recommend for family night out or even a quite day out with your loved ones, and if Chinese is one of your favourite types of food then what you waiting for???

Great fresh food, staff were friendly and the wine was good, all at a reasonable price for London. 4 people ate tasty fresh delicious food (2courses) with a bottle plus 2 glasses of nice wine with bottled water for £130.

Bad service, they were cold in their dealings and tried to kick us out inappropriately! Very bad treatment & the price of food is very expensive! It is not worth the hassle and I wish the staff would be kinder and more welcoming to us.

Went in for a light dinner and it was nice place, close to Westferry Station. Loved the sweet corn soup, the other soup was a bit bland (maybe a side of some hot sauce would be nice to get on the side, for people who like their soup a little spicy). The dim sums were really nice especially the one with spinach in it. All in all, I would recommend it to my friends. Thank you!

Cool place near the west ferry station. Came here for a pre movie meal and it was perfect. Good food, great atmosphere, nice service and reasonably priced. Pan Asian food options so you don’t feel limited that in choices. Fresh juices are a great add on to the meal.

A little gem in what feels like the middle of nowhere in London. Lovely decor, friendly and very attentive staff. I have the Singapore noodles 🥵🔥 - They were spicy but delicious.

I really liked this place. I went with my nephew for the first time but he'd been before. We both had chicken katsu curry and it was really good. The chicken was really tender. I really enjoyed the vegetarian spring rolls as they were tender and nicer than I've had elsewhere. My nephew had some sort of dim sum and really liked them. The staff were very friendly too.

Noodle street offers an exceptional dining experience. The Bun Bo Hue is a must-try, and the Beef flank rice is outstanding with its flavorful meat. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is attentive. While prices lean towards the affordable side, the quality and portion size is outstanding.

Came here with family. The service was poor from the beginning. Servers were dismissive and rude. The food was very very salty and bland. One of us ordered the vegetarian option and they brought egg fried ride and didnt care. I highly do not recommend.

Lovely food. They accommodated for us (a sizeable group). I recommend the salmon and rice for chilli lovers. The salmon was so good! 3 years later, I'm reviewing noodle Street. I rediscovered them on Uber Eats last year and FELL IN LOVE HARD with the salmon & rice 🤣. Ordered it so much, rhe delivery guy recognised me after a while...🙈. Totally forgot I had this experience already. So yes, the salmon and rice is STILL recommended after 3 years and a rediscovery

A delicious Chinese restaurant near Canary Wharf area. Casual dine in with a small bar. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with rice was delicious and portion was great for 1 person. Paid 13 pounds

Decent and tasty food, good value for money, polite and professional service. Nothing to complain about, really.

Spacious restaurant located within a stones throw of westferry station. Service was non descript but the food arrived quickly. Their Laksa noodle soup was tasty enough. Good spice levels and depth of flavour. Prices are a little high considering the area but the portion size was generous. Nothing groundbreaking but certainly the best option in the immediate area.

We’ve ordered duck soup online via Diliveroo and there was A LOT of bones.

We've been eating their takeaway for over 5 years, but finally got around to visiting the restaurant. All of the staff were great, and the food was (obviously) even better than on delivery. The restaurant is lovely and kept to a great standard. 18 May 2021 update: first time back and everything is as good as ever.

We love this restaurant, very easy going, no pressure just relax . Order a drink, wine, juice, browse the excellent menu and enjoy your food which is excellent. If I could order from here everyday I would! We have been coming here for 5 years since we moved into the area and it has never let us down. The food is consistently good and to a high standard. The staff are nice too. Highly recommend the ho fun, pho, dim sum, duck pancakes and katsu curry.

Very yummy food! Very authentic

The prawn and chive dumplings as others have recommended were really good. They were stuffed and savory. We also ordered sweet and sour noodles with prawn and kung pao prawn fried rice. The kung pao rice was pretty good and the sauce was great, with whole cashew pieces and no overly cooked veggies. The sweet and sour sauce was okay, it really just tasted sweet; I wouldn't recommend it.

I’ve been ordering from noodle street for about 8 years now, recently the amount of meat/protein in the beef hor fun/prawn noodles has been decreasing which I’m sad about, the food is still good but isn’t quite as good value for money as it used to be.

Ordered a delivery 2 items missing. Delivery driver kindly went to a shop and bought 1 of the items & brought it back to me so I’ve paid for 1 item I didn’t get. Restaurant should check orders before sending them out

We stayed at Canary Wharf Premier Inn and ate here twice as it is just across the road so very convenient. We never would have realised it was there if it wasn’t for Google as you’d never imagine such a nice restaurant could exist on the end of the row of shops that it’s on. Lovely ambience in the restaurant and nice, modern decor. Food was delicious both nights, we all absolutely loved it. I had a chicken dish one night and a beef dish the next. The beef was lovely and tender. The staff were lovely so not sure what all the reviews commenting on ‘rude staff’ are on about. Price-wise it’s about the same as our local Chinese restaurant in Nottingham which was a nice surprise as I was expecting it to be more due it being London!

This is a decent chinese place but not one I would revisit because it is slightly overpriced for what you get especially when you order for take away I ordered special chow mein and it came in carton and it wasn’t even filled up all the way and it was like £12. The salt and pepper wings aren’t very flavoured they don’t taste of salt or pepper completely tasteless. My friend got salt and pepper pork and he said that was really salty and the cocktails really aren’t that great. The atmosphere is always quite so there isn’t really a vibe but it’s a chinese shop it’s not like there needs to be music the staff are nice and the food doesn’t take to long

I get delivery from here all the time - the sweet and sour vegetarian not-chicken is always a winner!

El servicio no es que sean simpatiquísimos, son asiáticos que van a su bola y no te hacen mucho caso cuando les preguntas. Pero vamos, en la media, sin más. Y la comida un poco por encima de la media. Recomendable si te apetece una buena sopa.

Amazing food and great service but unfortunately theyv put their prices up ridiculously. Which means I my family and friends can no longer visit. Half a duck has gone from £19 to now £27. For a family to eat in there it’s very very expensive.

I've been to this Asian restaurant several times in the past both dining in as well as takeaway. The restaurant is comfortable to dine in but this weekend, I ordered a takeaway. The ho fun noodles w/vegetables are good but not as good as another Chinese place I frequent. (Check my other review for the name). To be honest, I was happy with the abundance of vegetables I received. The price overall is pricey for what it is. Service was polite, accurate, and fast! I ordered the noodles w/no eggs, and it was ready in less than 10 minutes! Unfortunately, I feel the portion sizes have shrunk a bit. I recommend going here as the food is very tasty. If ordering to takeaway, go in person to restaurant as prices are cheaper than on delivery services including their website!

Loved it! An unexpected HUGE restaurant near Limehouse. Service was absolutely great: the lady that served us was super nice and fun! Food was amazing. We had a few small plates and 3 mains to share among the 5 of us and it was the perfect amount of food. Super high quality. Vegetarian noodles are very spicy so watch out. 100% recommended.

I have ordered delivery from here for a number of years, and it's been consistently good! The quality of food doesn't change, always good - inflation or not. The speed of delivery is very impressive, better than Deliveroo or Uber eats, and they are polite. The food arrives piping hot!

Whilst we we were staying at a budget hotel nearby this Chinese restaurant became our saviour. We had 3 takeaways and one time eating in the restaurant. The food was delicious and healthy, orders were dealt very quickly and the service was always very friendly. I can highly recommend this place. The restaurant is busy, nicely decorated and obviously very popular. A true find in this area.

Walked in on our first day of arriving to the UK and found this place nearby. Food was okay, authentic Chinese food but not exceptional and very dry. Service was alright but did not fill our table’s water often. Atmosphere was pretty good, very empty and pretty cozy.

Excellent spot for solo women diners. I visited two nights whilst in the area on business and wanted to avoid the 'cliche' of hotel food. The service was laser fast, the food healthy and tasty and the staff friendly.

I came here a long time ago and remembered they had really good food. It's gone downhill . The wasabi mayo shrimp had no mayo. it was literally shrimp with tube squeezed wasabi ! I asked if they had any mayo.. so I could mix it. they said they didnt have any.... i dont like wasting food but had to return it so bad 👎 wouldn't come back again.

Really disappointing.. I ordered two times from here before and it was quite good, but this time half of the soup was spilled out in the take away bag, food cold, had to warm up everything and the chiken taste was funny. Please do not order Won Ton soup it is absolutely horrible!! Didn't even finish half of it how bad it was..

My work colleague got food poison twice from there! Another time we received out of date dairy dessert. This is not halal ! The fish dishes isn’t halal either as they sent me prawn dish with chicken piece. Avoid if you’re Muslim or vegan/vegetarian.

The food is good and I have been coming here for a while. But there is a very rude manger called mumun. She is extremely rude both over the phone and in person. She put me off coming to the restaurant. I have met the owner of the restaurant, he is very polite and very friendly. He needs to sack this lady before she distroys his business.
