Noodle Street in Tower Hamlets

We have been going to Noodle Street for many years as a family. We haven’t been there for around 2 months and we visited yesterday and sadly will never be visiting again! It seems that the staff that used to work there have changed. We had a very rude lady who served us, not only was she speaking to us like idiots when we tried to order the same things we have ordered there for the past 10 years, but she also refused to let us swap our children’s chicken noodle soup for Char Su noodle soup (something we have always been able to do in the past) which meant our Children didn’t eat the soup and was a complete waste of money. Considering we were ALWAYS treated as loyal customers by the previous staff members, greeting us kindly and we always left generous tips…this was the first time EVER we never left a tip. She did not smile at us, was totally rude and I will not be suprised if many more loyal customers refuse to visit again if she is serving them. Thankfully the kind guy who worked there recognised us as regular customers but by this time it was too late we had ready been treated badly by this member of staff! I only paid £70 for our family meal as I refused to order the extra items we usually order because of her rudeness! Never again! If she doesn’t like working there and providing good customer service she should leave!!

Absolutely delicious, have been going since I was a very little girl, and I still go now, i Absolutely love their food !!

Honestly the best Asian restaurant in town.

Good food and drinks, generous portions and reasonably priced.

Ate here while we were waiting for our room to become available. Food was fast and portions very generous (so much so that we really didn't need to eat again that day). Decided to come back for lunch the next day before heading off to do our sightseeing. My hubby had King Prawn Pad Thai and I had Crispy Duck. Restaurant is conveniently located next to WestFerry DLR station. Wide menu and they are happy to make alterations (at a small charge). Today we both had King Prawn Pad Thai

I had a great dinner experience at this restaurant near Canary Wharf. The Chinese dishes were delicious, served promptly, and portioned perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant for memorable Cantonese cuisine in London. I'm a big fan of the Beef Ho fun, and the sweet and sour king prawns!

Coming for the ‘Fast food’ but the Cantonese food is amazing， never made any Ho Fun as good as theirs at home. The Vietnam noodles is crazy big portion!

I pop in here off an on, sometimes for a quick meal before cinema. It can be hit and miss. This time was a big miss. Had the pork and noodles, noodles were cold so they reheated meal which was good but the pork was very salty and extremely fatty. Staff as usual friendly and helpful. Free parking after 5.30pm. Only a few spaces immediately outside but lots of spaces on surrounding streets.

The food are all very good. We had Malaysian laksa noodle soup, noodle street special fried rice and Chinese wat tan beef ho fun. The staff is nice. The restaurant decoration is quite traditional and religious feel. We would love to go there again.

Very nice place (looks fancy) and food was great, portions are big. We came for a takeaway and we were served very quickly, like 10 minutes for two dishes order. I couldn't finish mine, so I left in fridge as my stomach is small ^^ and ate the rest the next day 👍

What can I say. Mixed emotions about this place, I had seaseme prawn toast to start followed by there number 66 a honey glazed crispy pork meal it comes with egg fried rice, accompanied with salt and chilli crispy wings. Now I must say these were the best seaseme prawn toasts I've EVER had, this is the only reason why it gets a couple stars. Other than that, the crispy pork was nice but the rice had basically no egg in it and I also found a hair (it was to late it was in my mouth). But the food was good ashame the egg fried rice had no egg but besides that & the hair it was good, I decided to not kick up a fuss and bring up the hair because I was saying to my friend "apart from that hair the food was actually lovely". But because of the hair, the lack of egg in my rice & a few other small things I decided to not pay the service charge of 10% bearing in mind our bill was just over £80. The absolute rudeness and cheekiness of the man that took the payment was unbelievable, he tried to make us feel embarrassed and even after telling him to take it of several times he was quite reluctant. Beautiful restaurant, amazing pan Asian food. Delightful.

We've been eating their takeaway for over 5 years, but finally got around to visiting the restaurant. All of the staff were great, and the food was (obviously) even better than on delivery. The restaurant is lovely and kept to a great standard. 18 May 2021 update: first time back and everything is as good as ever.

Authentic Cantonese food with a great variety of options. Highly recommend.

Went there twice, first time was great, service is so so, a lady was very grumpy probably had a long day. Second time we went, the black bean sauce was very salty.

It was 9.22, and the waitress said she wanted to be at the station on her way home at 22.01. Receiving a customer like that at the door was rude and disgusting. Not coming back

The Singapore noodles has a dead beetle in it. Never experienced this before. Kitchen needs a health inspector visit

Food is always on point my fav is the squid starter it's best I have had the dishes are nice portion always filled with flavour. Only negative is that there not halal we usually have the seafood dishes

My son and I went to Noodle Street yesterday, as we haven’t been for about 18 months, and as we were in the area we decided to go for lunch. I ordered a mixed dim sum starter. My son didn’t have a starter. He chose duck and Jasmine rice and I had three meats with noodles. The starters used to be presented so beautifully on a platter, but they were just dumped into a dish with little care. The food was OK. My main dish noodles were all clumped together so I didn’t eat most of them as they were very claggy. The crispy roast duck wasn’t crispy at all, and it tasted like it wasn’t fresh and at least a day old, which was very disappointing. The char sui and duck were both delicious. I have no complaint about the service… the young lady who served us was pleasant and polite. However when we came to pay the bill I was astonished that for two people it was over £50. I won’t be going back there in a hurry.

Still my go to place when I want some stir fried noodle dish, or noodle soup dish or dim sum. Particularly like their prawn and chive dumplings, laksa noodle soup, the fried hofun with beef and salt and pepper fried chicken wings. 10 out of 10. Price is reasonable compared with some Chinese restaurants in the centre of canary wharf

Amazing place. Fancy, intimate setting. Great service. Huge servings. Loads of variety, not just Chinese, but also Vietnamese and others.

The food was soooo good. The noodles I had were exactly as they are named in Chinese, smooth and silky noodles. 🤤 flavour was great.

Noodle Street is our go to local Asian/Chinese restaurant for both sit in and takeaway. Great variety, fresh and tasty food and friendly staff

Ordered 2 laksa via Uber Flimsiest takeaway containers, they were drenched and falling apart, all the broth had gone to the bottom of the plastic bag It's a nuisance to the poor drivers and you end up having to refund your customers, so get something that can actually hold liquid in it Or are you trying to be authentically South Eastern Asian by selling soup in bags? 🤣

One word just excellent. the service, food and atmosphere gives a good vibe for what they offer , don't ask me for the experience go and experience it yourself. My favorite dish is the rice with roasted duck.

We were at a nearby pub in Canary Wharf and randomly picked Noodle Street to have dinner. The food was excellent (we had spring rolls, various flavours of chicken, beef, duck, rice, noodles), prices very reasonable and service was good and friendly.

Been a number of times now, a decent Chinese restaurant with good pricing for the big portion sizes. Always get something different each visit and always leave satisfied. Recommend a sago dessert also.

16.4.24 Under new management which was confirmed 4 weeks ago, when I asked 10 weeks ago if they were under new management it was an emphatic NO! Service was always hit and miss but the last 2 visits whilst being served by new management, I found them to be rude and obnoxious. Sadly, after coming weekly for the past 17yrs we'll no longer be going. Which in the past 8 months we've been frequenting Chinese Gourmet. The dining in experience obviously can't be compared as there's proper seating and lots of space in Noodle Street. But what Chinese Gourmet lack in space they gain in delicious, well priced BIG portions, we particularly enjoy their hand pulled noodles. They don't charge service for eating in either. 2pm seems to be staff eating time, we had 2 staff look at us and whilst one greeted us and then proceeded to ignore and went to eat. 4 members of staff eating and chatting happily, quite odd behaviour. We walked out.

One of the best Chinese cuisines in areas

Food was good, although portions on the small side compared to other Chinese restaurants in this area and elsewhere. Staff were reasonably friendly although they did seem less friendly than other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to, both in this area and elsewhere.

Discreet and calm restaurant. Fast service. The dishes are plentiful and well cooked. To try without problem.

My first time visiting this restaurant and the food did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. We ordered xiao-long bao, kung po chicken, chilli turnip squares as well as their special udon noodles. We are a family of 4 with a very fussy 6 year old and the kids loved the udon and xiao-long bao so we had to order another portion of the xiao-long bao. The restaurant had a nice chilled atmosphere and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend this restaurant which is just a short walk from the Westferry DLR.

A really interesting variety of Asian cuisine, food fresh; was cooked in the kitchen area, catering for extra spicy to mild in a nice atmosphere and surroundings; clean facilities, neatly laid out tables, good staff service prompt and unfussy. If am in Limehouse soon again, I shall definitely return.

Food is really good and authentic however the service is not the best. Me and my friends went here for lunch and every time we needed the waiters they were at the back (some having lunch) and couldn’t see us, so we kept on waiting until they’d decide to finally come check the tables once in while - and when they would they’d take only one request from a table in the room and then leave When the check came I asked if they could offer one of the orange juices we ordered as the first one my friend didn’t drink because she let it fall - and they were very rude in the way they spoke to us even though we were being polite and just making a question

Can't beat noodle street one of the best places we'll manner Workers very friendly and a very warm homely atmosphere, food was absolutely amazing the price for the food is just perfect 👍💯 would recommend for family night out or even a quite day out with your loved ones, and if Chinese is one of your favourite types of food then what you waiting for???

Great fresh food, staff were friendly and the wine was good, all at a reasonable price for London. 4 people ate tasty fresh delicious food (2courses) with a bottle plus 2 glasses of nice wine with bottled water for £130.

Bad service, they were cold in their dealings and tried to kick us out inappropriately! Very bad treatment & the price of food is very expensive! It is not worth the hassle and I wish the staff would be kinder and more welcoming to us.

Went in for a light dinner and it was nice place, close to Westferry Station. Loved the sweet corn soup, the other soup was a bit bland (maybe a side of some hot sauce would be nice to get on the side, for people who like their soup a little spicy). The dim sums were really nice especially the one with spinach in it. All in all, I would recommend it to my friends. Thank you!

Cool place near the west ferry station. Came here for a pre movie meal and it was perfect. Good food, great atmosphere, nice service and reasonably priced. Pan Asian food options so you don’t feel limited that in choices. Fresh juices are a great add on to the meal.

I really liked this place. I went with my nephew for the first time but he'd been before. We both had chicken katsu curry and it was really good. The chicken was really tender. I really enjoyed the vegetarian spring rolls as they were tender and nicer than I've had elsewhere. My nephew had some sort of dim sum and really liked them. The staff were very friendly too.

Noodle street offers an exceptional dining experience. The Bun Bo Hue is a must-try, and the Beef flank rice is outstanding with its flavorful meat. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is attentive. While prices lean towards the affordable side, the quality and portion size is outstanding.

Came here with family. The service was poor from the beginning. Servers were dismissive and rude. The food was very very salty and bland. One of us ordered the vegetarian option and they brought egg fried ride and didnt care. I highly do not recommend.

Lovely food. They accommodated for us (a sizeable group). I recommend the salmon and rice for chilli lovers. The salmon was so good! 3 years later, I'm reviewing noodle Street. I rediscovered them on Uber Eats last year and FELL IN LOVE HARD with the salmon & rice 🤣. Ordered it so much, rhe delivery guy recognised me after a while...🙈. Totally forgot I had this experience already. So yes, the salmon and rice is STILL recommended after 3 years and a rediscovery

A delicious Chinese restaurant near Canary Wharf area. Casual dine in with a small bar. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with rice was delicious and portion was great for 1 person. Paid 13 pounds

Spacious restaurant located within a stones throw of westferry station. Service was non descript but the food arrived quickly. Their Laksa noodle soup was tasty enough. Good spice levels and depth of flavour. Prices are a little high considering the area but the portion size was generous. Nothing groundbreaking but certainly the best option in the immediate area.

We’ve ordered duck soup online via Diliveroo and there was A LOT of bones.

We love this restaurant, very easy going, no pressure just relax . Order a drink, wine, juice, browse the excellent menu and enjoy your food which is excellent. If I could order from here everyday I would! We have been coming here for 5 years since we moved into the area and it has never let us down. The food is consistently good and to a high standard. The staff are nice too. Highly recommend the ho fun, pho, dim sum, duck pancakes and katsu curry.

Very yummy food! Very authentic

The prawn and chive dumplings as others have recommended were really good. They were stuffed and savory. We also ordered sweet and sour noodles with prawn and kung pao prawn fried rice. The kung pao rice was pretty good and the sauce was great, with whole cashew pieces and no overly cooked veggies. The sweet and sour sauce was okay, it really just tasted sweet; I wouldn't recommend it.
