Noodle King Hatfield in Welwyn Hatfield

Hi, I am very unhappy with my order I just placed. Food arrived very late and was also cold and the rice seems to be off as has loads of Grey/black bits in it and tastes funny. I was also missing 3 items.

We ordered the Hong Kong Style Sweet & Sour Doufu and the Mixed Vegetables Curry. It was the worst food we had in a while (dry, sponge-like tofu in red, sugary water; soggy curry sauce). Furthermore, both dishes came without rice. Normally, we avoid throwing food away, but we really couldn't finish it up. We are definitely not coming back.

Ordered the food to be collected, was given a time it would be ready. When I arrived at the prescribed time to collect the food, the staff never spoke with me and after 10 mins I called them over and enquired about my order, I was told it would be ready in 5 mins. I was told several more times it would be another “5 mins”. After 30 mins of waiting I asked again and was again told “5 mins”, I said that if it wasn’t ready the next time I would leave. After 35 mins of waiting I asked again and was told for the fourth time “5 mins”. I told them not to both and left. Rubbish customer service.

The food is generally quite tasty and the staff are friendly/polite. However, on our last three orders, and on perhaps half of the last 10 orders, the ingredients we have specifically asked to be removed due to an intolerance, are left in the dish. On this evening's order, I made it extremely clear at the time of ordering that there had been mistakes on previous orders, and to make sure that there was no onion/garlic in any of the dishes. Both of the main dishes had a strong garlic smell. It's a shame because otherwise the food is nice, but we are getting tired of picking up food, getting home to find it's wrong and then having to drive back again to get it re-made. The last two times, we ended up losing the will to bother complaining.

Been ordering from them for a long time ,but really disappointed this time had a moldy chicken ball, but fair play to the manager she did replace them

The food is so bad they have signs up in the restaurant offering free food in exchange for a 5 * review! It used to be a good Chinese but not any more

Horrendous food (they recently got new chiefs 13/06/23) and service (no excuses). Had been going for years and just forgiving the fact that every other order was either wrong, delayed or over cooked... but no more, not after last time. Fried noodle that were boiled!!!! Oily rice. How thats even possible I don't know. But worse then then that I had the manager call me multiple times, as late as 10.30pm asking for details about how I paided (cash by the way). Why I do not know. It did however give me a chance to point out the issues with the meal (which only consisted if 4 dished). And was there any apology... no, just more questions about how I paided!! Clearly theres another issue there with their staff. Had to block their number. Finally, the price, expect to pay a few pounds more on each dish then any other Chinese in Hatfield... a price that is certainty not justified. Needless to say I told her I'll never be returning... ever. There's plenty of other choices in Hatfield. I recommend you try them first and avoid disappointment. You've been warned.

I placed an order online at 7pm, didn't receive a confirmation or email, rang them at 7.40pm, was told no orders had been received/placed. 9.05pm order turns up at the door (having been told no order was placed) 2 hours 5 mins after I ordered it turned up, unfortunately I paid online, I refused the food and asked for a refund, manager (?) On phone said would call me back, I waited 30 mins called them back, explained to another person, they then hung up on me. They obviously had my number because every time I called back, straight to leave a message. This is christmas eve, it has spoiled my christmas, I will be making a complaint to their chain manager. I didn't want to give a star, but couldn't leave a review!

I changed my review as I am so disgusted by what I received and won’t be ordering again. I just spent £26 on this garbage and actually refused to eat it after scooping out one spoon of it to realise that one of the dishes is 90% stringy onions and huge chunks of ginger - it is INEDIBLE. The ribs were also too dry to eat and the curry was like water. I am now in the process of ordering elsewhere as I am unwell and need to eat. I hope this business goes down under as you can’t even give this rubbish away for free.

Food is really nice and the price is also very reasonable.

I ordered chicken noodles(chow mein) and pancake rolls. The pancake rolls were good the noodles had a couple of minute slithers of chicken in. When I rang to complain this evening I was asked by the women who answered the phone "what do you want me to do about it?" Poor poor customer service. Having been a regular customer to the previous business New Dynasty I will never order any food from Noodle King again. Not a good impression on my first try of this new business in hatfield.

This restaurant has a wonderful ambience and super attentive staff. The dinner banquest for 4 was a great experience for a weekday dinner and thoroughly recommended.
