Nice people and food you cannot fault, best Indian restaurant I have found so far. I use it regularly now.

I Normally collect but the delivery was fast and hot. Not many food delivery's that are hot when they get to you. So Was nice that it was. I always have plain rice and chicken korma it's the best korma I've tasted. The service on dine in is also really good I would definitely recommend

This is a very nice restaurant, out in an area we were not staying in that our friends wanted to go to. The restaurant is not fancy but well decorated. We walked in and were seated however people pulling up to do pick up orders from the area, the lights were really bright shining in our eyes. We asked if we could change tables and they did it with a smile. Also my coat was taken with a smile and hung up out of the way. The staff here is very nice. We started with poppadoms with chutney and other condiments. Our friends started out with appetizers. One of our friend appetizers was so large they ended up ordering another appetizer for their meal. I personally had a fish dish, my husband a lamb, our friend aa chicken. Two rices, a garlic and regular naan. Also 2 beers were ordered. The food was very good, there were no complaints. We enjoyed the meal very much. I would recommend this restaurant, and I really thought the staff was terrific.

Just got a Takeaway from hear I was Disgusted Chicken Tikka Madras with Runner Beans And Carrots if I wanted an English Meal I would of cooked one at home I normally to Bipash £16.25 for the same Meal £19.90 at Raj Hallgrove it was like everyone's Left overs Never again

The best Indian food in this area

Brilluant restaurant, great attitude abd delucioys food.

1st time ordering. Food was stone cold and took ages to arrive considering I only live 5 mins away. Butter Chicken was bland and cold and so were the samosas Butter Chicken was bland and cold and so were the meat samosas.

Went for a Friday night curry and everything was perfect. Food was spot on and the flavours were unreal. Service was prompt and informative. 10/10 will be back!

Unfortunately I was disappointed this evening. The food was nearly 30 minutes late, no apology on delivery, there was food missing from the order and the food wasn't hot and the poppadoms were past there best. Disappointed today

Food was tasty but the meat dishes were all sauce and no meat which was disappointing which then felt a bit watery, particularly the chicken tikka masala. The naan breads seem to have shrunk too. The lamb in the rogan Josh not good quality and fatty so could barely eat any of it. Was hungry after the meal as it had little substance to it. Will think twice about going here again.

This is the best Indian meal I have ever tasted food at, and it's only five minutes from my house on a mobility scooter. As a disabled person, I find the staff very helpful and friendly. I've travelled far in my earlier years before I became disabled in my search for the best Indian restaurant and found it on my doorstep.

Had our first ever takeaway and it didn’t disappoint. The meat was good quality, the food was flavoursome and it was very good value for money. Very impressed and would recommend!

Unfortunately, our regular Indian takeaway is closed on a Tuesday so we ordered our food from here instead . We ordered Chicken Shashlik x 2, Cauliflower Bhaji, and Naan bread. Firstly, we are within walking distance of the restaurant and could have walked to collect, but both being at work decided to have delivery instead . Given the distance all of the food was lukewarm at best and needed to be microwaved and the Naan bread was cold. The least of its issues. So to the cost and equality. Let’s start with the Naan! This was, and I’m being honest here, the smallest Naan bread I have ever had in my whole life. The reason we only ordered one is that usually, from everywhere else, they are too big and enough to share. This one was thin, cold, and so small it was barely bigger than the small Cauliflower Bhaji takeout tray. Hopefully I can post photos with this review for comparison. So on to the Cauliflower Bhaji! Where to start? Small.Cold.Watery.Flavourless! The cauliflower was either overcooked, to within an inch of its life, or was made from leftovers from the day before, or possibly even the day before that. Very small portion size and as stated above, cold, watery and flavourless. Chicken Shashlik.The price for this was either £9.15 or £9.95, the menu doesn’t make it clear and I thought I heard the latter on the phone. Either way a rip off! Each tray contained 7 “small’ pieces of chicken in each, but lots of onion, one tomato and one piece of green pepper, not in both portions, to bulk it out to look more! Woohoo!! This was easily the worst Chicken Shashlik we have ever had for portion size, and I was so disappointed when I opened the boxes that I rang the restaurant to complain. To be honest they couldn’t care less. Hence this review, as I promised them. The Shashlik, as stated before, was lukewarm and needed to be reheated. And considering it comes served with mint sauce and salad dressing when ordered as a single portion, you would expect to get two of each when ordering two portions, however ,this was not the case and we only got one mint sauce and one salad bag. This may only be a small thing but the principle of getting what you order, and expect to be delivered, is the issue here. And also value for money. Which at £27 for the items ordered, this isn’t! I’m pretty sure that I don’t need to add a summary here as this can be gleaned from my comments. But, for those that need any clarity, I wouldn’t recommend eating here, in or out, and definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering a takeaway from them. There are plenty of other Indian restaurants in Welwyn Garden City, that put quality of food, value for money and customer service ahead of this one, so I would search those out, save your money and avoid the disappointment of this one.

Thanks to the guys at the Raj for a wonderful meal after a great recommendation, the Chicken Tikka Balti Dhansak was *gorgeous*... Trust Houssain, he's lovely. The bhajis were crispy, succulent and so tasty. Rice was packed full of veggies, yum. And obviously, a few days later when we re-heated, it was *even* better. So good to be able to rely on looking forward to an amazing meal. We thank you so much. XXX Dave and Pam

I Just had a really delicious chicken tikka balti from here. Highly recommend

The delivery was very late. Wrong food was delivered. After contacting the restaurant, a replacement was sent. The madras had 5 pieces of meat, the naan bread smelt and tasted completely wrong, This was a meal shared between two of us as we had no need for more. I can only assume that the restaurant guessed that as it is a Saturday we were probably drinking alcohol and would not notice. Unfortunately this is not the case, and we are disgusted by the quality of the food

There was a Christmas party at the venue so they were behind schedule and unsure of the order, we had to wait for collection, longer than the app advised. Food was strange, paneer sag, tasted like mature cheddar rather than paneer. I was dissatisfied as the food is usually quite good.

I do not like writing bad reviews so will be as objective as possible. The food came on time and we were giving a discount code so off to a good start. The naans were cold but food good temperature. Meat samosas didn’t have much filling or taste. Could have been anything or nothing inside them. Lamb bhuna was very oily and onion heavy with the oil over powering any real taste. Chicken tikka was flavourless and dry with only a hint of coconut. Honestly will not be ordering again.

I've been to some Indian restaurants in my time but this is by far the best my wife and I have been to yesterday, the food, service and atmosphere absolutely perfect, I recommend this restaurant to anybody

Food arrived over an hour after quoted delivery time with items missing. Some food was solid to the point of not being edible.

I have come here several times and found them good. I think this the second takeaway since the lockdown I've had. I noticed the price hike but as their special biriyani is actually very good (their food generally is) but it seems they have got in the habit of putting poor food in the takeaways. For about £4, I found 3 dry and tiny - smaller than golf balls - sized onion bajis for that part of the order. And of course having trust, you only find this when you get home. Price hike plus poor service = go elsewhere.

We ordered chicken Tikka masala that came with rice, vegetable robin josh all the vegetables were fresh. All very tasty and hot.

This was a poor experience and I would like a substantial discount. The food was over 30 minutes later than the expected period of time, which was already quite late. I called the restaurant to politely ask the whereabouts of the order, and the staff member was extremely rude and short with me, and hung up. I had to call back three times. He basically said “well the delivery driver has taken it so I can’t help you.” Poor customer service. We were puzzled because we were literally a one minute drive from the restaurant - so this should have been a simple order and delivery. After more time had passed, it transpired that the driver went to the wrong address. With our food finally with us, we soon realised that A) all of it was cold and B) one Chicken Tikka Masala dish was not included. We called the restaurant about the missing item, and eventually one was brought to the house. By this point, one family member had to wait for their dinner while everywhere else had eaten. All in all, a terrible experience and I am demanding either a full refund or a significant discount.

Family meal celebrating a birthday. Was a great experience from start to finish. Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and the food was top draw, we all had starters followed by some delicious main courses. Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Hertfordshire, cannot wait to go back. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the food is simply unreal! Prices are also very reasonable given the amazing quality.

The Lamb Takatan and Onion Bajis delivered this evening were simply delicious. The lamb was tender and the Takatan curry sauce flavoursome. After a long day this meal was something else to come home to. Hot and delivered by Just Eat in a timely fashion. Thank you.

Never again!!! Wish I could upload photos. Ordered Tandoori Mixed Grill yesterday , when food arrived I found random collection of leftovers drowning in fat. I love this restaurant. I eat in and order regularly. But this order was ridiculous. Delivery time estimating 10.15-10.30. It comes at 11.15. I ordered at 8.50 with an hours estimated delivery. If I knew it was going to be this late I wouldn’t bother. Plus when it arrived, every single item was stone cold. I don’t want to mess around reheating food and eating at such a stupid time. The restaurant says speak to just eat to complain…what a waste of a New Year’s Eve. Thanks just eat!

Food was around 18mins late and had update stating it was delivered which was not the case so have marked down the delivery aspect on that front. Despite that, the food was incredible and in this case worth the wait. Collectively enjoyed it overall and would be happy to order from them again in future the food was that good.
